Thanks for the reviews. Really loving them. I decided to give each fight their own chapter. I was kind of nervous about this one because Hidan in the manga doesn't have many techniques. For the jutsus I used Wikipedia and google translate, so bear with the translations. Enjoy the chapter!

There was an eerie silence on the bridge, all 9 individuals grew tense. Deidara was the first to break the silence,

"So Naruto, it seems like you have found some friends to play with."

Naruto, who was perhaps the most calm out of everyone replied, "I am not surprised to see you three here. Though I am a little disappointed, I was hoping for a real challenge like Itachi's group."

Hidan looked livid, "I swear by Jashin, I will kill this boy."

"Calm yourself," reprimanded Sasori, "All of them will be handled accordingly."

Naruto frowned, he knew Pein would only have allowed this three to fight him if he was by himself. The fact that they were not concerned that he had a team meant something wasn't right. He turned to his group,

"Be careful, they prepared for this fight."

Immediately Hinata sat down cross legged and slammed two kunais into the ground in front of her. She then immediately completed a flurry of hand signs before saying, Kasseijutsu: Chiyu no Seikatsu (Activate: Healing Palm of Life). With that Konohamaru and Shikamaru immediately attacked Hidan. Seeing that Deidara jumped off the bridge only to land on his clay bird and began to fly away. Naruto knew that Deidara was going to call for back up and he couldn't have that. The problem was that he had to handle Sasori and could not leave him alone. Before he could say anything he saw both Kakashi and Shino flying towards Diedara with wings. When Naruto looked closely he saw that they were made from Shino's kikai bugs. Naruto had very little time to be impressed because Sasori had begun his attack.

Konohamaru and Shikamaru vs Hidan

Hidan continued to dodge Konohamaru's attacks, it was annoying him. Jashin needed service, and he couldn't waste his time with this boy. He immediately pulled out his massive three bladed scythe and began his counter attack. This time it was Konohamaru's time to dodge. Naruto had given them intel on all of Akatsuki, so they knew what that blade was capable of. He needed to keep this freak busy, he knew that Shikamaru needed 7 minutes to formulate a counter attack. As he continued to dodge and parry Hidan's attack, he slipped on the wet surface of the bridge, there was no way to avoid it. He knew that even a scratch would be deadly. He could see the scythe coming down on his neck and he knew that it was over, then all of a sudden the blade hit an invisible barrier and ricochet up throwing Hidan off balance, that gave Konohamaru to land a chakra powered punch to Hidan's face sending him flying yards away. Konohamaru looked back to see Hinata smile and give him a nod. Konohamaru gave her a thumbs up and looked forward to continue his fight. Hidan got up gingerly, he rubbed his face, 'that hurt like hell' Hidan thought. He knew that his scythe should have made a cut on the boy but it bounced back as if hitting a barrier. He looked around and saw the girl sitting behind all of them with her palms pressed together. She seemed to be some kind of medic, someone who he needed to deal with first. He got up, and immediately leapt at Konohamaru, again their close range attacked started. This time Hidan did not use his scythe but rather two short blades. He began his ferocious attack on Konohamaru but to no avail. The young man was far more superior to him in close range fighting as was apparent as Konohamaru knocked down Hidan for a second time. This time Hidan got and was upset.

"Shit," cursed Hidan "Jashin wants your fucking blood. Why are you being so fucking rude?"

Konohamaru smiled, "Sorry but I rather not, your God is creepy."

Hidan was getting more and more angry by the second. He rarely needed to use anything other than his scythe to make Jashin pleased and satisfied. This man was making things difficult, he needed to keep him distracted while he eliminated the medic otherwise they would never be able to defeat them. He stood up once more and began doing his hand signs and when he was done he slammed his scythe into the ground.

Jujutsu: Ribingu shi no kōru!(Curse Technique: Living Death Call)

Konohamaru tensed up, things were not going to be easy. Even though this group was expected to be the easiest group, all of them were high ranked shinobi. CRACK! Konohamaru leapt into the air as he saw the ground crack all over the bridge. From these cracks he saw ghoulish creatures come out. They were black with white skull-like painting on them. Their legs where short and stocky and their arms long, and hung to their waist. They gave off a strong stench, it almost made Konohamaru gag. He looked around and saw that there were 10 of these ghouls, he also saw behind them Hidan had his hands embedded into the ground. Then all of the sudden two of the ghouls raced at him their hands transformed into swords dripping with liquid. The liquid, Konohamaru noticed, caused craters in the bridge when it dripped off. Konohamaru grimaced, these ghouls were poisonous. He needed to get rid of them before they attacked Shikamaru or Hinata. He needed a weapon that could withstand these creatures. He took a deep breath and made the following hand signs: Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram, he then slammed his hand onto the ground and yelled Kuchiyose no Jutsu(Summoning Technique) Monkey King Enma. With a poof of smoke standing beside Konohamaru was the Monkey King Enma. His body and tail was covered with white fur along with his unkempt hair. His hair reached his back and he also had long side burns along with a goatee. Enma had on a black suit with mesh armour underneath, over which he has a sleeveless kimono shirt with white fur trimming.

"Who is it now Konohamaru?" Rumbled Enma. Konohamaru pointed at the ghouls and grimaced. Enma frowned, he had seen these creatures before.

"I know these ghouls, Sarutobi fought them before against a man from Yugakure. Each one of them have an affinity to an element. We need to destroy them and then use an element against them, so a wind ghoul needs to be burnt. A fire ghoul needs to soak with water, and so on and so forth. We need to act quickly because then they merge and then it becomes practically impossible to destroy them."

Konohamaru took a deep breath and said, "I need you as support then,"

With that Enma made one hand sign and yelled, Henge: Kongōnyoi (Transformation: Adamantine Staff). With a puff of smoke a jet black staff with golden tips zoomed into Konohamaru's hands. He twirled it and raced at the first ghoul. He shifted his head to the right to avoid a jab from the first ghoul, and slammed his chakra palm into his face exploding it. Konohamaru waited for it to heal itself, and when he did, he saw little sparks emit from him. Realizing that this one was lightning based he attacked it again. Lifting his leg for a high kick it was blocked, placing both hands on the floor he pushed off into the air only to slam his staff on the ghoul's head. Again the ghouls head exploded this time Konohamaru quickly did a hand sign and began to collect wind chakra into his fist. Without waiting another second he punched the ghoul in torso and it evaporated.

'One down, 9 to go,' thought Konohamaru. Unfortunately for him, his break was short lived as the ghouls decided to attack as a group. Konohamaru was forced to dodge, parry and defend from these ghouls and it was becoming more and more frustrating. He trusted that Shikamaru had a plan, and in order to be successful he needed to give him as much time as possible. With that thought, he spun to avoid another strike from the ghouls and leapt into the air. Using one hand sign, tiger, he yelled, Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Technique: Great Fire Ball). He shot out a huge fireball from his mouth at the ghouls under him. Most of them healed quickly but two he noticed healed slightly slower. Recognizing that these as the wind based ones he immediately charged at them. Attacking them as quickly as he could before the others could attack him he managed to decapitate both. Then pulling out two kunais from his pouch he wrapped fire tags on each of their hilts and slammed it down their necks. He leapt away again to avoid the explosion and with it the remains of the ghouls. Konohamaru landed on the rail waiting for the ghouls to continue their attacks. As they turned to face him he realized that he found another way to defeat a few ghouls. He leapt backwards and dived towards the water below. He flipped before he went into the water and stood on it waiting for the ghouls to attack him. Five of them followed him and jumped into the water but two hesitated realizing that these two were weak against water he jumped up and raced up the bridge towards them. When he got to the top he twirled his staff and knocked both of them down, he then took a step back and yelled, Suichūtotsu (Water Pillar Thrust) a water pillar enveloped both ghouls and when the water receded both ghouls had melted. Konohamaru was so focused on the ghouls in front of him he didn't see the ghoul come from behind and knock him down. His back began to burn from contact as he felt the back of his shirt melt of and boils appear on his back. It smelled rancid and he could tell pus was forming and his spine was on fire. It felt like someone was stabbing him repeatedly with a blade made from lava. The pain was getting excruciating, he started seeing black dots and felt like he was going to faint. He was about to punched again,

'Shit' thought Konohamaru, he was stuck and he needed to recover fast. All of a sudden he felt a cooling sensation on his back and felt his body heal from the scars and pus and receding of the boils. He realized it was Hinata's healing technique working. Even with the healing he wouldn't be able to react in time, the punch was inches from his face before it froze. Looking down he saw that the ghouls shadow was attached to a shadow leading to over the ledge and under the bridge. Konohamaru smiled, if Shikamaru was helping it meant that he was almost done. His healing was done and when he got up he saw sparks in the ghoul's eyes. Taking a gamble he added wind element to his chakra and just like the first one he punched the ghoul in the torso, and just like the first one, it exploded. Grabbing his staff, he saw that there were only 4 ghouls remaining. He needed to get rid of them quickly and eliminate Hidan. He was lucky that Hidan was incapable of moving as long as the jutsu was active. Konohamaru leapt into the air and ran towards them. As he was about to lunge at them they disappeared into a puff of smoke. Confused, he looked around, his eyes widened as he realized that Hidan deactivated the Jutsu and was now behind Hinata with his three bladed scythe. Hinata couldn't move because she was currently healing someone else. Konohamaru raced towards them knowing that he wouldn't make it in time. Just when the scythe was inches from her neck, it froze and Hidan was unable to move.

"What the FUCK is going on?" screamed Hidan. Shikamaru walked out from the shadow that attached Hidan's shadow to his, "Kage Mane no Jutsu Seko" (Shadow Binding Technique: Success!) Shikamaru looked at Konohamaru and said,

"Sorry Konohamaru, I needed some time to create the necessary trap for him. Knowing that he is immortal doesn't hep."

"No worries" reassured Konohamaru, "We got him now."

Shikamaru smiled and walked towards the ledge and had Hidan follow him. Once they were both on the ledge, Shikamaru made a throwing motion that caused Hidan to throw away his scythe. He then pulled out a scroll from his pouch and dropped it into the water. The water began to swirl until there was a funnel leading to the bottom Shikamaru had both of them jump onto the surface of the bottom of the sea. As soon as Hidan's feet touched the ground wires appeared from everywhere and wrapped around him encasing him with numerous of fire tags.

"IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!" screamed Hidan

Shikamaru ignored him and then pulled a piece of stone which caused the floor to collapse leaving an open abyss Shikamaru confirming that Hidan couldn't move released his jutsu and approached him. Realizing that his end was near Hidan went on a cursing tirade that would make just about anyone blush.

"...YOU ARE FUCKING DEAD, I AM GOING TO FIND YOU, AND FEED YOUR FACE TO JASHIN. I WILL RAIN DOWN BLOOD OF TERROR ON YOU. I WILL RUIN YOU AND YOUR FAMILY… YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME BOY. YOU ARE DEAD...!"

Shikamaru unfazed by this walked to Hidan and kicked him into the abyss. It was less than a second later that that an explosion was heard and Hidan was blown into immortal pieces. Konohamaru jumped down and tapped his foot against the edge of the abyss and the floor stretched and covered the abyss as if nothing was there. Nodding to each other they both leapt back onto the bridge and saw the water recede back. There was no way anyone could find or save Hidan now. He was finished. They looked at each other and gave each other a fist bump

Shikamaru and Konohamaru both took a sigh of relief and grinned. That was harder than they expected, but they did survive and eliminated an enemy of Konoha. Hinata herself was slightly winded. But they didn't have the time to relax they needed to check the other team.
