Jessie stormed through the corridors as she headed back to her room and in the process, she kicked her shoes off which sent them slamming into the walls. Tears stung her eyes and stained her cheeks while she hastily walked. "How could they?!" She thought angrily to herself as she gritted her teeth.
When she reached her room, she flung the door open before violently slamming it shut. Her back hit against the door and she slowly found her way to the ground as she sobbed to herself. Pulling up her legs to her chest, she put her arms on top and placed her face into her arms as she cried.
After some time she slowly lifted her head. With blood shot eyes and bright red cheeks, she slowly stood up and started to tug at the strings of her corset. "Just undo you useless excuse of an outfit!" She yelled pulling it off and throwing it to the ground. The dress was slightly more easy and she kicked it off to the other side of the room. Her under corset was the last to come off which caused a great deal of relief around her stomach. As she pulled down her bloomers, she was greeted with the sight of blood stained towels which she took out and threw to the floor with her corset.
Heading to the bathroom, she grabbed a fresh pair of bloomers and some more towels and placed them inside the bloomers as she pulled them up to her waist.
She then made her way over to the sink where she ran the cold tap and splashed it over her face which made her feel a lot better. Her face didn't hurt as much and it cooled her down. Grabbing a towel she dried her face and then proceeded to pulling out everything that was holding her hair into the bun so it could fall loosely over her shoulders in the form of curls. She then took her nightgown off the door, slipped it on and made her way back into the bedroom.
The curtains hadn't been drawn in the room so the moon was on full show. She slowly headed towards it and looked out at the nights sky. "I need some fresh air." She mumbled as she opened the latch which sent a fresh breeze in. There were many stars in the sky however; four particular stars caught her eye. Two grand white stars stood out more than the others. They were sat right next to each other with a small star on either side of them.
Jessie looked closely at them, her eyes filled with amazement. She sighed and said "Oh grandma, why did you have to leave me? You should have stayed...you should never have left." She paused and looked down, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists. "It should have been father who left." She said, rage filling her voice.
Placing herself on the window ledge, she leant her back against the wall and clutched her necklace. Her eyes slowly shut as she listened to the sound of the horses outside and the sound of the party from below.
The party quietened down after a while but Jessie remained in the same position until she heard a soft knock on the door. Forcing her eyes open, she quickly stood up.
The handle turned and the door slowly opened revealing a small crack of light. Her heart sank as she saw the figure in the doorway, it was Buzz.
"What do you want?" Jessie asked dully looking at him as he shut the door.
"Oh well that's nice. I've come to check up on you and that's how I get greeted?"
"Ugh just go away."
Buzz made his way over to her and placed his hand on her cheek, "Are you okay now?"
"Oh yes, yes I am perfectly fine after being told I have an arranged marriage to some pervert! It makes me even happier that you are in my company!" Jessie shouted sarcastically pulling her face away from him.
"No need to be rude Jessie, I know you're upset." Buzz gently said.
"You know nothing about me Buzz." She crossed her arms and turned away from him.
"I know you're your Fathers daughter. You have his stubbornness and his anger." Buzz placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Don't you dare compare me to him!" She yelled pointing her finger at him.
"Jessie cálmese." Buzz stated.
"What?" She questioned looking at him in confusemeant.
"Por favor, cálmate Jessie."
"What the bloody hell are you saying?"
"Ah, ah, ah. No need to swear. I was saying Please calm down Jessie, in Spanish."
"You speak Spanish?"
"Yes, it is a secret talent of mine." Buzz said smugly to himself.
Jessie hated to think it, but she was rather impressed that he could speak it.
"No estoy de acuerdo con los matrimonios concertados tampoco."
"And that means?" She questioned.
Buzz could see she was impressed which made him smile. "I said I don't agree with arranged marriages either. I think they are stupid. I didn't get much say in my marriage to your sister."
"At least you had a say!" Jessie's fascination started to wear off.
"Si pudiera elegir entre los dos, hubiera sido que yo había elegido."
Jessie just stared at him. 'What the hell is he on about?'
"That was, if I could chose between the two of you, it would have been you I'd chosen." Buzz said as he entwined his fingers through hers.
Jessie felt her cheeks flush over as she gazed down at their hands. Buzz slowly pulled her closer to him and slowly stroked her cheek with his free hand as her breasts pushed against his chest.
"Buzz...get out of my room." She said with a shaky voice.
"This is my room Miss Jane, every room is my room."
Jessie shoved him away with her free hand but her success of being free from him didn't last long. Buzz had her arms held upwards against the wall, his muscular body preventing her from escaping him.
"Buzz...let me go." She said, her pleading starting to turn to anger.
"I make you nervous Jessie, don't even try to deny it." He said in a soft yet seductive tone.
She stared into his blue eyes. Yes, he did make her nervous, but it wasn't the nervous he was inferring. It was the nervous feeling she got around her Father. "Okay, yes. You do make me nervous, but not in the way you are thinking you disgusting pervert."
Buzz smiled and placed his right hand on her hip. "You know Jessie; I've always found you much more appealing than your sister. You have a better personality, better looks-" He paused staring at her.
Jessie held her breath out of fear. The way he was staring at her made her heart thump against her chest.
"And a much better body." He smirked as his hand made its way down to her thigh. "Bo is a non-believer of sex before marriage." He said pushing his body closer to her.
"And your point is?" She questioned already knowing the answer.
"My point is, you would be the sort of person to do the dirty before marriage...and I know you would do it with me."
Jessie just stared at him in disbelief. "You're as mad as Chunk. All you care about is shagging me."
"Hmmm." Buzz mumbled as he started to kiss her neck.
She moved a little trying to stop him, "You'd hate it tonight anyway. You'd be covered in blood."
"Doesn't bother me at all, because you're attractive."
Jessie was taken aback by his answer and his hands grabbed onto her hips. Her breathing became deeper as his hands slowly found their way up her night and found their way to the bottom of her breasts before he gently rubbed at her nipples while leaning down to kiss her.
She hated every second of what he was doing, but she couldn't help but murmur his name a little which caused him to harden his touch a little. As their lips were about to touch, the sound of the door handle turning violently was heard by them both and Buzz quickly pulled away in time as the door flung open to revel a drunken Bart stood in the doorway holding an empty whisky bottle.
Part of Jessie felt relieved, but part of her also felt fearful.
"You!" Bart shouted pointing the bottle at Jessie. "You embarrassed me. You embarrassed me in front of the whole hall! You ruined your sister's engagement and you embarrassed the Huggins!" He said slurring.
Jessie looked to the ground not wanting to respond to her Father.
"You will marry that boy and I will make sure of it!"
"Like I said before, and like I said to Buzz just now, I will NEVER marry him!" Jessie shouted back.
Bart gripped his bottle and grinded his teeth together. "I'll teach you some manners young lady!" He yelled as he made his way over to Jessie.
Buzz pushed Bart back causing him to stumble a little. "Bart just calm down!"
"Don't tell me to calm down you big chinned moron!" Bart snapped trying to get past Buzz but failed miserably.
Jessie's eyes threatened to burst a million tears any second as she saw red in her Fathers eyes. He wanted to hurt her.
Buzz pushed Bart out the door sending him toppling to the ground. He quickly slammed the door shut and the sound of the empty bottle smashing against it could be heard, followed up by arguing which became more distant.
In silence, Jessie placed her hand over her mouth and tears slowly began to fall down her cheeks.
She ran over to the window and violently closed the curtains. Reality was starting to sink in of everything that happened from Buzz right up to her Father.
More tears streamed down her face as she dived onto her bed. She buried her face into the pillow and mumbled, "Why couldn't it have been me over Grandma?"
A/N - So what do you make of Buzz? Good or bad? And Bart... well that's a bit obvous. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
