Transformers Cybertron family forever final chapter
Safeguard was placing some cyber-roses near a statue in the middle of Iacon; the war with the Decepticons was over and the black hole destroyed five years ago. Before that though, Vector Prime had sacrificed himself to ensure that everyone would return from Gigantion and be able to finally complete their mission. He remembered leaving the humans behind afterwards, and traveling to new worlds with the Autobots.
Eventually, Safeguard and his brothers Jolt, Reverb, and Sixspeed had opted to spend the rest of their lives on Cybertron, feeling that this was the best they could do. They had lost the only mech they had called "Dad" and while he could still be alive in other universes, they could no longer see him at least here and he may as well have been 100 percent dead everywhere.
*He wouldn't want us to be sad though.* Sixspeed had pointed out. *We're all adults now; we can handle ourselves.*
Yes, yes they could. Safeguard didn't feel like it though, not right now anyways. He looked up at the statue of Vector Prime that he had been placing the flowers near and said "I really miss you Dad; we're all doing our best to live our lives, my brothers and I that is. And I got a girlfriend who I wish I could introduce to you. I know she'd like you a lot." He let tears fall from his optics as he laid the last flower down. It never got easier near the anniversary of that time.
*Come on. Let's get some lunch.* Reverb insisted; he was feeling hungry really but the other reason he had said this was because he didn't want to stay any longer.
Everyone agreed and left after placing their own flowers down at the statue's feet. They began talking and telling stories once they were eating in a cafe.
*Remember Bud's School of Painless Leadership?* Jolt asked. *Looking back now, it's kind of funny how he was trying to teach Scourge better leadership techniques."
All the Mini-Cons started laughing as they remembered that class session. It hadn't been that funny at the time but it was still very memorable nonetheless. They also started talking about the race for Velocitron's Cyber Planet Key, the discovery of the ancient star ships, and other such memorable adventures. After a while though, they had to go home so Safeguard bid his brothers good bye and return to the Mini-Con village he had been living in. It was in a rural part of Cybertron but not too far from the big cities such as Iacon or Polyhex.
When the seemingly oldest of the Mini-cons went to recharge that night, he thought he saw the face of Vector Prime looking down and smiling at him. Safeguard smiled back unsure of what to say but somehow that image was comforting and in his optics, a reassurance that he and his brothers would always have the good memories of their adoptive father even though he was no longer there with them physically.
