So it has been a very long time since I have posted. Unfortunately summer wasn't as relaxing as I thought but I'm finally getting back to writing. Anyway, here's another chapter for all you lovely people! It's only a little one but enough to get me on the right tracks again!
As always, I own nothing but my OCs!
Constructive criticism and reviews are very welcome!
"So, Myles has been giving you a ride to work?" Lucy asked as the group walked from Emilia's apartment building lobby.
"Yes, hopefully my car will be fixed soon so I can get out of his hair," Emilia replied, laughing awkwardly.
"It really is no bother," Myles chirped from beside Sue.
Emilia gave him a small smile and continued to discuss the state of her car with Lucy.
"Have I ever told you about the dirt bag who tried to sue me for dinging his car?" Lucy asked, and noting Emilia's blank face spun into her story with gusto.
"Emilia seems well," Sue said quietly to Myles as they were walking toward their respective cars.
"She does, doesn't she? Although I'm not sure I'm convinced." Myles said, slowing his pace to allow Lucy and Emilia to walk on ahead. "Sue, you know that there was a time that I- when I-… You know that I know how it feels to experience panic and anxiety."
Sue nodded and Myles continued.
"Were you aware that Emilia has been suffering from generalised anxiety disorder and depression since she was in college?"
"No, I – well, she had mentioned that her cat was a therapy pet but I never thought to ask,"
"Although she has been able to manage her health issues with medication, I am slightly concerned that this situation might… Will you keep an eye on her Sue?"
Sue was touched by his sincerity; it had been quite a long time since he had called her Sue.
"Of course," She replied with a smile.
Emilia and Lucy were waiting by Myles' car, deep in conversation. Myles and Sue were unsurprised to hear that the topic of their conversation had changed.
"And Prince Harry, is he really as cute as he looks?"
Lucy and Sue were sitting in a comfortable silence in Lucy's car on the way to the restaurant. Emilia and Myles were also on their way to the restaurant, albeit in a different car.
"Lucy, Myles asked me to keep an eye on Emilia."
"What do you mean? She seems better. I mean, not better, but she seems to be coping."
"Luce, Emilia has a history of depression and anxiety disorder. Myles is concerned that she might be putting on a front."
"Oh my gosh, I had no idea."
"Neither did I."
"Well of course we'll keep an eye on her. Maybe we should invite her over for a meal every now and again, or grab lunch with her at work when we get the chance?"
Sue smiled, she knew that Lucy would be eager to help a friend.
"Good idea."
