The Unbreakable
Chapter Ten:
Hanna Rivers pulled her car onto the curbside of her best friend, Emily's house. She came over to talk to Emily about some stuff. Some stuff that happened the night before during a small get-together at their other friend, Spencer's house.
Hanna happened to glance out the window whilst Paige was kissing Emily. She had seen it. Of course she didn't tell their other friends. She wanted to talk to Emily about it. Mostly because she wanted Emily to be happy. That was all she ever wanted. She could tell Emily wasn't happy with her marriage. She wondered why Emily even got together with a man when she was gay.
She never confronted Emily about her orientation, except one time in high school. That time -A sent a photo of Emily kissing Maya.
Hanna turned her keys to turn the ignition off before reaching over and grabbing her white Chanel bag.
The blonde got out, locked the door and then began walking to the front door. Hanna pulled her keys out of her bag and grabbed the key with an "E" carved in on it and put it in the key hole to unlock the house.
She had keys for all her friends' houses; Emily, Spencer and Aria. It was just something they did now. They each had a set of keys to the others' house. They were so close that they didn't even care whenever one of them dropped over without asking.
Hanna twisted the silver key around before it unlocked the dark oak door.
She gave a satisfied smile as she opened it and walked inside.
"Em?" Hanna called out as she closed the door behind her, slowly placing her keys back into her bag. "It's Hanna."
The tall woman with Raven-brown hair appeared in the hallway. Her dark locks were pulled back into a sleek ponytail. She was wearing a pair of black yoga pants, and a maroon long sleeved shirt.
"Hey, Han. What are you doing here?" Emily asked as she took in the blonde's appearance. "And by the way, you look great."
Hanna fluttered her eyes as she accepted her friend's compliment. "Thank ya,"
Hanna was wearing a black long-sleeved midriff top with a high waist leather textured skirt. She had a pair of black pantyhose on with a pair of t-strap black pumps. On her neck, she wore a nice gold necklace chain. Her blonde hair was wavy for the day and she was using a white Chanel purse.
"So, what are you doing here?" Emily asked.
"I wanted to talk to you about last night," Hanna said softly.
"Last night? What about last night?" Emily asked as she lead Hanna into her kitchen.
Hanna slowly took a seat on one of the bar stools and placed her purse on the floor. "I seen."
"Water?" Emily said as she tossed Hanna a bottle of water and sat down next to her. "Seen what?"
Hanna rubbed the water bottle for a while before answering. "I seen you kiss Paige."
Emily went quiet and stared at the counter for a couple of moments. "I didn't think anyone would see that." She mumbled.
"Emily, it's okay. I didn't tell the girls. I wanted to talk to you about it," Hanna assured her. "I want to know how you felt after that."
Emily looked into Hanna's blue eyes. "I'm not even sure how I felt about it. It didn't spark feelings or anything. Or maybe I'm just feeling this way because I haven't kissed another girl in so long. I'm not sure how to feel. I'm not sure if it would feel that way with any other girl, or if it actually meant something."
Hanna nodded her head understandingly as she opened her water bottle and took a sip. "I think you should kiss another girl just to see if it feels the same way or if it actually means something."
"I'm not sure who. I mean, I don't just randomly go up to someone and ask to kiss them." Emily laughed.
"Kiss me." Hanna said firmly, not sure what she was saying. She wanted Emily to be sure of what she wanted. If it felt the same way to kiss her as it did Paige, she would feel less confused. Or if Emily's kiss with her ex-girlfriend meant something.
"Wait, what?" Emily asked, wondering why Hanna wanted her to kiss her.
"I said kiss me, Em. Come on," Hanna told her. "I want you to see how it feels to kiss another girl. And I'm a girl. I want you to see if Paige's kiss meant something or if was just another kiss."
"Are you sure?" Emily asked. "I don't want things to be awkward between us."
"Absolutely positively sure," Hanna told her.
"Okay," Emily said nervously as she turned to face Hanna.
Hanna scooted her bar stool closer so she could kiss her easier. Hanna took a deep breath as Emily took a strand of her blonde hair into her hand and looked at her.
Hanna finally pressed her lips to Emily's, her tongue asking for entry. Emily complied and Hanna's tongue gently explored her mouth. After a couple of seconds, they both pulled away.
"So?" Hanna asked pressing her hands together. "How was it?"
"Paige's kiss didn't mean anything. It felt just like it did to kiss you." Emily stated.
Spencer Cavanaugh slammed her SUV door shut and began to walk towards the front door of one of her clients' house. Spencer came by to see if Mrs. Sinclair was satisfied with the remodel Spencer had constructed in her basement. Spencer redid her whole basement. It was a finished basement that they had used for storage until Spencer worked her magic and converted it into a TV room and a guest bedroom with an added bathroom.
"Spencer?" Mrs. Sinclair answered the door before she even had a chance to ring the doorbell. "Now's not a good time."
"Hi. I wanted to see what you thought of it. Plus, I forgot to put this beautiful fixture on the wall." Spencer held up a white wired lamp.
"Okay," Mrs. Sinclair nodded and opened the door wider to let Spencer inside. "The basement is right over there, as you know."
Spencer nodded and made her way downstairs.
She quickly placed it on the wall and began to make her way back upstairs to say goodbye to her client.
"Georgia, I wanted to say bye," Spencer said as she opened the door to Georgia's office. She gasped when she seen the built Hispanic man zippering up his jeans. She knew who he was. It was no one other than Micah. Micah Cruz cheating on his wife with one of her clients. "Micah?"
"Spencer?" Micah gasped. "Um, I was just coming to talk to this lady."
"With you pants off?" Spencer angrily yelled.
"Spencer, please. Don't tell Emily!" Micah begged her.
"I gotta get going," Spencer threw her clipboard to the floor and turned to leave the room. "Oh, and Micah?" She asked.
"What?" Micah asked.
"You better tell Emily before I do. She doesn't deserve this." Spencer threatened over her shoulder.
"Spencer, please." Micah grabbed her arm gently.
"I had a bad feeling about you since the beginning. I knew you would hurt her. I knew this would happen. But I tried to ignore my suspicions so Emily could have her happiness. But now I know," Spencer said coldly. "It was all a lie,"
"Thanks for the remodel, Spencer," Georgia awkwardly thanked Spencer while buttoning up her blouse. "You're amazing. I'll be sure to tell my friends about you."
"Go to hell. The both of you," Spencer yelled as she walked out the front door.
She buckled herself in the drivers seat and reached into her bag to grab her cell phone.
She dialed Aria's number and waited for her to answer.
"Spence? Hey."
"Hey, Aria. I need to talk to you. It's urgent."
"Oh my God. What is it?"
"It's Micah. I need to tell you this."
"Tell me now, Spence. What's going on?"
"I caught him."
"Caught him doing what?"
"At Georgia's house. One of my top clients."
"Doing?"
"What the hell do you think?"
"Oh my God. No. He couldn't."
"Just meet me at the Cafe downtown. I'll be there in fifteen minutes."
Spencer hung up before a response and began to drive downtown.
"So, what are you going to do?" Aria asked as Spencer sat down across from her.
"Not tell Emily yet. That's for sure. She'll hate me." Spencer admitted.
"Well, we can't like that jerk get away with it. To think, I actually kind of liked him." Aria huffed.
"I had a feeling about him since the beginning." Spencer said as she pulled her wallet out of her purse and glanced around for a barista.
"Can I help you, Miss?" A barista said as she approached the two women sitting at a table.
"I'll get a large coffee. Plain. Black. Big." Spencer ordered as she handed the woman her credit card.
"Coming right up." She smiled and walked away.
Aria sipped her decaf non-fat soy latte as Spencer rubbed her temples waiting for the coffee.
"Should we tell Hanna?" Aria asked when Spencer finally had her coffee in her hands.
"Should we? I mean before we tell Emily? That's if Micah doesn't tell her," Spencer told her.
"I don't know. Maybe we should. But Hanna..." Aria began, trying to find the right word to describe her friend.
"Would go insane if she knew?" Spencer jumped to conclusions, laughing.
Aria joined her. "She wouldn't go insane. She'd just say some snippy comments."
"I think we should," Spencer admitted.
"Well, you are the smart one. I guess we'll tell her." Aria agreed.
"Let's head on over to her house now. Before you both have to go pick up the girls from school." Spencer said as she threw her purse over her shoulder.
"Kay," Aria followed behind her.
"Just put Nellie in Luca's bedroom." Hanna told Emily as they entered her spacious and air-conditioned home.
Emily closed the door behind herself. "Okay. Where's Luca?"
"He's with Caleb. Caleb took him to some Daddy-N-Me class at the mall." Hanna answered.
"Okay. I'll be right back," Emily said as she carried the sleeping baby in her arms up the staircase.
Hanna made her way into the kitchen, her heels clanking against the dark wood flooring. She stood on her tiptoes and grabbed two glasses out of the cupboard before making her way to the large stainless steel fridge to get juice. She poured the pineapple juice into the glasses and carried them into the dining room.
She sat down before she had to get back up because she heard the doorbell ringing. Hanna groaned and went to answer the door.
"Aria? Spencer?" Hanna asked, surprised. "How come you didn't call? I mean, I don't mind at all but this was sudden."
"We need to tell you something. It's about Em." Aria told her as she entered the home, Spencer following.
"Yeah." Spencer nodded.
"Okay," Hanna nodded as she closed the door behind her. "So, what is it?" Hanna asked as she folded her arms.
"You might want to sit down." Aria said as she ushered Hanna into the dining room.
The three women sat down.
"So, tell me." Hanna said.
"Spencer caught Micah." Aria revealed.
"Doing what?" Hanna asked, rolling her eyes.
"Cheating. What else?" Spencer said firmly.
Hanna looked at both her friends. Her face dropped. She narrowed her eyes. "Are you serious?"
"We are." Spencer nodded.
"What the hell?" Hanna said loudly, immediately getting up from her chair. "I swear I'm going to shove the new six inch Jimmy Choo heels I bought up that jerk's ass." She said as she walked angrily towards the door.
"Hanna! Wait!" Aria stopped her.
"Yeah, Hanna. Calm down." Spencer urged her.
"What's going on?" Emily asked, coming down the staircase and finding an angry Hanna, and her other two friends standing by the front door.
"You didn't tell us she was here." Aria huffed.
"We would've told you later if you told us she was here." Spencer whispered.
"What? Tell her what?" Emily asked again.
"Nothing." Spencer told her.
"If it's nothing, then why does Hanna look so mad?" Emily signaled to the blonde, who was visibly huffing and her face gave off the impression that she was upset.
"Micah cheated on you." Hanna blurted out.
Okayyy, so literally the first time I've actually updated in like two months. I feel terrible.
I've been kinda focused on the show, and other stories. I got back into Secret Life so I began a new story for that. But I discontinued it.
I'll probably update as soon as I get over 10 reviews. So please!
Review and an update will come very soon! :)
Tell me what you thought about this chapter. And any suggestions you may have.
