What was left of the group of gems finally returned, but with saddened faces. Steven and Amethyst didn't even try to ask what had happened to Jade, all of the gems sat on the couch in silence. Pearl nuzzled her face into Garnet's shoulder, holding back her sobs. Garnet finally broke the silence, "Enough. We need to get Jonah back, and avenge Jade!" Flora stood up, "Garnet is right! If Jade were here, she'd say, 'Let's get Jonah back!' So I say the same!" Pearl smiled and stood as well, this was followed by Amethyst and Steven, Garnet stood and put her hand on Pearl's shoulder, "Let's go get our son back."

Garnet looked at everyone, "Get your things together. Grab anything you need, this includes: extra weapons, spells, gadgets, and so forth. Move." And everyone went for their rooms...

Pearl's room...

Pearl danced gracefully on top of one of her many waterfalls and summoned her swords. She grabbed her first sword she had ever collected (it was a gift from Jade when they were younger.) She smiled and put it back in the sheath that was now around her waist.

She went back down to the main floor and saw Garnet, she noticed Garnet's glasses were off, and that she had a sad look on her face, "Garnet..." She ran to Garnet and embraced the taller gem, she felt shoulder get wet. "Shh, it's okay Garnet..." Garnet had finally broke, Pearl hugged her tightly, "It's almost over."

Jade's room...

"Okay, let's see..." Flora dug around in Jade's closet for electronics and other things. That's when she pulled out an old doll. Flora could feel herself about to cry, this was the doll Jade's mother gave Jade when she could still see. Flora smiled at those wondrous memories, tears rolled down her cheek, she turned to Tanzy and handed her the doll.

Tanzanite knew exactly what it was the minute she touched it, "She kept it..." She started crying, but still smiled. Tanzy hugged the doll next to her chest, Fluorite sighed, "Let's go, sis..."

Steven's Room...

Steven packed his cheeseburger backpack full of various things, he finally zipped up. When he stood to go downstairs, he ran into Amethyst, she put him into a headlock and said, "Bro, you need to bring Lion." Steven chuckled, "I was going to anyways!"

That's when the rest walked out. Amethyst stood up straight and so did Steven, they waited for commands from Garnet. Once they were all on the warp pad, Garnet stepped in front of them and turned to them and said, "Gems, we have a special mission. I expect nothing less than your best. For we are going to avenge Jade and get Jonah back. Flora, your number one priority is Melanite. Take her out, and Peridot is no match for us. Now, let's go!" And they left with a flash.

At the ruins...

"Alright gems," Garnet whispered, "Flora, you and Amethyst take out Melany, the rest, come with me. Move out!" And they split. Garnet, Pearl, Tanzanite, Lion, and Steven went straight for the ruins front entrance while Fluorite and Amethyst waited for Melanite. Once they entered, Pearl kept a close eye on Steven. That's went Tanzy stopped them, "Stop. Something's coming." They halted but they were confused, that's when a ball of flames came at them, "Duck!" Yelled Garnet as they all fell for the ground. Once they stood back up, three figures stood in front of them.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Tanzy."

"Peri!" Growled Tanzanite, he chuckled, "Too bad you can't see, you old bitch. Because I would have loved to see your face when Jade died!" He snapped his fingers and Jonah picked Tanzy, but it was choking her. "Jonah!" Yelled Pearl, "Let go! Please, you're hurting her!" Pearl charged at them, Garnet hot on her trail. She realized Jonah was by himself, Peridot and Melany disappeared, that meant she had to hurt...Jonah. "No! Jonah please, listen to mommy! Stop!" Tears rushed down her face, Jonah turned to Pearl and dropped Tanzanite, he looked at her, he raised his hand and picked her up.

She dangled in the air, struggling to get away, she looked at her son, her eyes filled with tears. Mom, I'm sorry... Pearl eyes widened, 'It's okay, baby. But, momma has to hurt you...' That's when Garnet hit Jonah, he hit the wall next to them. 'I'm sorry...' Thought Garnet as she caught Pearl. They summoned their weapons, and prepared for Jonah to attack.

Amethyst and Fluorite snuck in and found Melany and Peri watching the fight from a distance. Amethyst smiled and shape-shifted into Purple Puma, she turned to Flora and whispered, "This is gonna be fun!" She jumped out of the bushes and tackled Melany. Peri ran for a rock, he hid behind there, and peaked out. "You ungrateful bitch!" She sent two fireballs at them, she actually hit Amethyst. "Ah! Fuck! That really hurt!" It hit her in the arm, Flora smiled, 'This is gonna be fun!' She shot a water ball at Melany, this caused her to laugh, until it hit her. She hit the ground, the water ball had turned into a huge rock. Flora smiled and walked over to the struggling gme as she tried to get the heavy rock off of her. She moved the rock, "I know why you put with Peri. You love him don't you?"

Melanite spat, "As if! He promised me power!" Flora chuckled and placed the rock back on her, "Hmm, even I wouldn't deal with that for power." Melany was having trouble breathing, coldness overtook Fluorite's eyes, "As soon as I kill you, he will die and burn with you..."

The fight between Jonah and the others was starting to get really hard, especially since they weren't trying to hurt them. That's when he summoned monster made out of earth. He sent them after his family, they fought the creatures. Tanzy was kicking their asses more than anyone. She summoned her dark blue mace, and, with every movement, she countered them. Garnet looked at her with amazement, 'Damn, she's badass!' That's when they stop, and turned into dust. All of the gems were confused, "Mom! Momma!" Jonah ran for them, he was crying. "Jonah!" Pearl picked him up in her arms and hugged him tightly, "Oh, my baby! You're back!" That's when Amethyst rushed in, "Guys! We lost Peri!"

"What?!" Yelled Tanzy, Amethyst quickly answered, "Melany didn't die, she turned into a monster, we made her retreat to her gem and bubbled her, and that's when we couldn't find Peri." Pearl was still holding Jonah, she was on the ground, and now so was Garnet. She hugged her wife and son, I love you, momma. "I love you too, Jonah." The other gems smiled and started for the exit when they all heard a bone-chilling scream. "Momma watch out!" Yelled Jonah, Garnet turned around and caught Peri's war axe. Fear was written all over his face. She took his weapon and with a single slice, chopped his head off. Jonah buried is face in Pearl's chest so he didn't have to that. Pearl felt her shirt dampen. She stroke his poofy hair, "It's alright-" She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Garent hit the ground with a thud.

"Garnet!" She and Jonah ran for Garnet, she laid on the ground groaning in pain, "Garnet, what's wrong!" She held Garnet's hand and gasped, "Oh no! You cracked your gems!"
