G is for Good Morning

I am postings this on Seto's birthday. Happy Birthday to our favorite pretty boy.

This is the last of the "anniversary" stories I promised myself and one other person to put all of the stories together into one big story. It will include some added dialogue and scenes (maybe a lemon) to give you a fuller idea of what happened that day on their 3rd anniversary. It would be a separate story, a long one-shot about a long day.

It would begin here, on the morning of their 3rd anniversary of being together, then the scene from "E is for Elevator", then my story "On Date Night", in the middle of the date we have "B is for Back Row" and then we finish with the date. Boy, I hope this works.

Joey woke up and stretched.

"Mornin' Seto." He yawned

"About time you got up. I've been calling you for ten minutes. I'm already dressed."

Joey opened his eyes fully and sure enough his boyfriend, Seto, was just putting on his suit jacket. Seto had gotten up washed his body of the remains of last night's activities, scrubbed his face and dressed in between calling to is lover to get up. It's maybe their anniversary but it was still a weekday and they were going to work. This is Japan after all, not America.

Seto had their usual table reserved at their favorite restaurant. Tickets to a romantic comedy at the theatre down the street from the restaurant and there was the park. Joey noticed it on their first date when they went to the same places. Neither boy wanted the date to end, so they strolled through the park until they stumbled upon an isolated part of the park. The moonlight reflected on the pond, the ducks had already gone to bed and it was a pretty spot to snuggle on the bench. It became their favorite way to spend an evening. It was inexpensive enough for Joey to treat Seto and there was plenty of alone time, something both boys craved. Of course Seto still treated Joey to the fanciest restaurants and cultural events. And Joey introduced Seto to karaoke and his favorite rock band, which became Seto's favorite too.

Just like on their first date when they first found that quiet and romantic spot, it was a full moon tonight too. The setting will be perfect, the romantic moonlight and a cool breeze slipping through Joey's pretty hair, that will be the magic moment. He patted the box hidden in his pocket. Two bare arms wrapped around Seto's neck, Seto sensed his boyfriend's unashamed nakedness. Joey stayed back a bit; he was still dirty from last night.

"Good morning, Dragon."

Joey kissed Seto on the cheek. Seto reached out and gave Joey a real "good morning kiss".

"Happy anniversary." Said Seto

"Right back at ya." Said Joey with a wink, he let Seto go and sauntered into the bathroom, five minutes later he was out and started to dress in the clothes Seto laid out for him.

"I was good last night, wasn't I?" Joey asked

"Fishing for compliments?"

"No a warning, tonight is your turn to top and it's our anniversary, so you have to make it good, especially to best me after last night." Joey smirked

"True, that swirl at the end made my toes curl, but I still think I can surprise you tonight."

"Really? I can't wait. Must we go to work?"

"Yes it's a workday, and you have that project to finish."

"Ugh, don't remind me."
"Have your boss call me if the project is not coming together."

"Sure thing boss." Joey laughed and Seto smiled

"To make it up to you, I will take you some place fancy on Saturday."

Joey cheered as he tied his tie, and Seto thought:

"By then I'll have, no we'll have an announcement to make. There will be an uproar again. But we are Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler, Soon to be Joey Kaiba and we do as we like. It is the 21st century, about time Japan grew up."

Seto's thoughts were interrupted by Joey's touch.

"Ready to go down to breakfast?" Joey asked

Seto looked at his boyfriend. He was perfectly turned out in a dark grey suit. Seto pulled Joey into a brief kiss.

"Good morning." Said Seto

"Happy anniversary." Said Joey

They left the room hand in hand.
