Gray´s point of view
I don´t really know for how long we have been running. It was as if she knew we would go after her and played around all city, leaving her sent behind. Or at least it was what Rogue told me, irritated he was still unable to find her after half an hour. Well, at least he said she was alone, but I could see he was worried about her. I kind of wonder why did it made me so mad, seeing his concerned expression. It was always like that, every time Natsu or some other guy approached Lucy I just wanted to make them disappear. Some times I even hit Natsu on purpose, but that stupid pink hair never really realized why I did it... He thought I wanted to fight. Sighing, I wondered if we were worrying too much. Even without her memories Lucy seamed to be doing just fine, but then I remembered her eyes. Honestly, how could I let her have that look? Irritated at myself for being such a jerk, I asked Rogue to hurry, trying to ignore his expression and I running again, screaming her name.
"You must be kidding me..." Both of us whispered, looking at the blond girl who slept silently on top of a tree, smiling as if she remembered something funny. There we were, running and calling for her worried to death and she slept like it was nothing. Sighing, I wondered if we should just wake her up when she turned around and started to fall down, still with her eyes closed. "This girl." I heard Rogue whisper before he run towards her and held her gently near his heart, sighing in relief seeing she didn't wake up. I still remember that feeling, the huge anger and envy I felt as I saw him holding her. It was so powerful and real I almost drowned in my own darkness, being saved by her smile when she sighed and mumbled something I didn't hear. Maybe if it wasn't for her, I would have tried to hit Rogue a long time ago. But at that moment, he was holding her and if I tried something, she would be the other to get more damage, not him. "We should take her to Fairy Tail´s inn." I said while sighing. "She spent there the night and should feel more comfortable around there." I added as I saw his face go dark again. I wondered what he thought about her. If he held some improper thoughts I would gladly kill him... I mean, I would make sure he didn't approach her unless she allowed it. He nodded after thinking for a while and turned around, ready to go when I garbed his hand and made him turn back. "Give her." My voice was as cold as ice, something I truly loved (after all, who doesn't like ice? It´s pretty and can make you feel fresh), but my eyes sparkled dangerously. There is no way I will allow him to hold her. "I don´t understand what is the problem." I really hate guys as him, they are just too hard to figure out. Even Natsu is way better, at least he says what he really means. "She is OUR team mate!" I almost said mine, but a small portion of my rationality was still present. I wont let him take her away from me! Never!
Rogue´s point of view
I wonder for hold long have we been looking for her, running around the city like mad men, afraid something had happened to her. I noticed people gave us strange looks as we run near them, wondering if they should or not call the guards as two freaks were running around the city screaming someone´s name. Actually, I was pretty angry and irritated I couldn't find her as easy as I wished because her sent was everywhere, as if she did it on purpose just to make sure we didn't find her easily. Somehow I believed she really did it, taking in account her behavior until then. It was as if she was paying a game and we were her toys. Sighing, I started to run after Gray again when he stopped for a brief second. I sill remembered the first day I saw her that year, when she faced Sting. She had caught my attention last year too as she went against Minerva, but I left half through the fight, unable to keep watching my cruel team mate, I knew what was going to happen. She would find a pray and play with it, but I never expected her to actually half-kill the poor girl. After that day I was sure she wouldn't appear again, but when she did, I couldn't help but feel impressed with her strength and power of will. That girl really was strange, coming back to place where she almost died, but girls always were more courageous as boys... specially that one. I overheard some of her guild mates talk about her after that battle, as she acted like everything was ok with her even when she was badly hurt, and her concern about her beloved keys. Lucy was different from the girls I met so far. She was way more kind, strong, beautiful...
A glimpse of blond hair finally got my attention, making me forget everything and I sighed in relief, before taking a better look at her. She was sleeping on top of a tree and I almost started to yell at her. How could she sleep on top of a tree? She was a girl for god sake! "You must be kidding me!" I said the same thing as Gray, but I could care less. It was Sting who got all worked up about Fairy business, not me. But then as I finally relaxed Lucy rolled over and started to fall down, still sleeping soundly. My body reacted faster than my mind and I run forward to garb her and hold her gently near my heart, trying hard not to wake her up. She was just too frail for her own good and I just couldn't let her get hurt. But when I finally realized what I just did, my body froze, still holding her near my heart. What was going on with me? Why did I act like that? All I wanted was to keep her save, forever, make sure she stayed with me and only me... What the hell was I thinking? She is a fairy, for god sake! She doesn't belong with me... As my mind run thousand miles a hour, I finally saw Gray´s face and his eyes full of malice and envy. I bet if it wasn't for the girl I was holding, he would have already hit my ages ago. "We should take her to..." he started to say something but I didn't hear him, trying to figure why he looked at me like that. I did nothing to make him angry, as least as I remember, but those eyes didn't lie. You got to be kidding me! Suddenly, I realized what was going on. It was because I was holding her! Nodding, I turned around ready to run away with her, wanting to spend some more time with her, even if it meant to look at her sleeping face. He was with her every day, being able to talk to her, laugh and look into her chocolate eyes, while I had to put up with Sting´s stupidness and Minerva´s selfishness. I wanted to be with her more... But then something garbed my arm and I turned around, seeing Gray ask me to give her back. "I don´t understand what is the problem." I somehow managed to say with a controlled voice, while my beast instincts told me to destroy him. The way he looked at her was unforgivable. But then he said she belonged to them and I almost punched him. ALMOST. Something warm held my hand and I looked down, seeing a sleeping Lucy. That´s right, she was a fairy, not someone I should mess with. "I´ll protect you..." I ended up whispering, giving her back to Gray. He may have won this time, but I promised I wouldn't let it end that way. She was too precious to be given to him. "I´ll protect you, my fairy." I whispered again as we started running towards the inn.
The sun was disappearing slowly in the night sky when Lucy woke up, opening her chocolate eyes to face a white celling in a place she didn't recognize at first, only to end up sighing in relief when she understood she was in Fairy Tail´s inn, the place where she slept last night. But the question was how she got there. She remembered playing around with the wind before falling asleep on top of a tree, confident she would wake up before someone found her. But it looked like she was wrong. Stretching, feeling her body stiff, she left a little yawn and tried to stand up, noticing there was a rope tying her left feet to the bed. "What?" Aware there was no one else in the room, she wondered if they wanted to make sure she didn't escape by doing so. It was cute, for the first two seconds, but then it annoyed Lucy and she tried to untie it, only to find out she had no idea how it was tied. "Who even thought about doing this?" She finally snapped, yelling towards nothing. For what she knew, they could still be at the games playing happily while she had to stay there tied. "There is no way I´ll let this slide..." she thought, cutting the rope with magic after concentrating for a while. "Now, this is better." Standing up, she stretched again and took some clothes out of her bag, wondering what she should wear. "Hmmm... I´m in the mood for some pants." Finally deciding, she walked towards the bathroom and closed it, opening the hot water before starting to take off her dress. At least this time no one dared to change her clothes. "Maybe it was Gray or Natsu who found me..." She guesses as she went under the hot shower and cried in happiness as it helped her relax her muscles and rise her body temperature. "I bet it was Gray. Natsu was supposed to have a fight with Sting..." She laughed, imagining what kind of fight it was, with they were still a little bit shocked. But it was all their fault. If they only managed to keep quiet for a little bit, she would have been able to explain everything later in a more lady-like manner. Sighing, Lucy got bored, turning the water off. Hot water was good, but after a while it wasn't hot any more. Taking a towel to catch her wet hair, not allowing it to moisten the floor, she sighed again. She sure was in trouble for disappearing like that, not even explaining what was going on. Putting her clothes on, she went out still with the towel on her head, noting her dark jeans were a little bit too long. "How strange..." Not sure if they were always like that or not, she decided to forget about it, starting to dry her hair. When it was wet, the blond color got darker and deeper, something she actually enjoyed. "Maybe I should paint my hair..." Whispering, Lucy sighed and jumped on her bed, laying down for a while before closing her eyes. "I kept sleeping until now... but I´m still tired." Conflicted by it, she tried to remember something again, ending up with a headache.
Not realizing someone knocked and opened the door, Lucy jumped up in surprise when someone called her name and touched her arm´s bare skin, trying to kick that person. "Ups." With her feet being in possession of that person, she finally realized she almost hit Natsu, almost falling down in process. "What a warm welcome." He joked with a smirk, not really surprised. "Sorry... I didn't notice you went in..." She apologized, blushing a little bit. "I even knocked this time!" Pretending to be horrified, Natsu couldn't help but start laughing after that, along with Lucy who joined him after a while. "May I have my feet back..." She added shyly, making him realize he was still holding it. "Ups, sorry." As he let it go, he sat near her and smiled. "Everyone is waiting for you down there. We need to talk, Luce." It wasnt that she forgot about it, but that small moment earlier made her put those worries in second and she almost believed he would ask her about it. Of course she was wrong, but no one prohibited a girl from dreaming.
"I don´t want to..." she said after a while, hiding her face under her arms, talking a ball position. If only they forgot about it, she could try to pretend everything was fine and maybe one day her memories would come back. It was bad enough not to remember anything, now she had to see the sad and disappointed look in everyone´s face as she saw earlier. She could handle the fear and sadness alone, but to see it in other people´s faces was too... unbearable. Natsu watched as she went quiet, not sure what to say. If only he could tell her what she meant to him and protect her... but that would only make her feel worse. "Lucy look... I know you don´t remember but everyone here cares about you deeply. You are part of our team and guild... you are part of our family." Her eyes looked up to face his onyx eyes. "If you don´t want to, I won´t force you but... We are here for you." He smiled and took her hand, forcing her to stand up before he showed her her own hand. "See this?" He pointed to the pink mark on her hand. "This is prof you are a Fairy Tail wizard!" She smiled back, whispering something about many people and scared of their reaction. Natsu laughed, starting pulling her after him. "Don´t worry. Since this is a delicate matter, only Gramps and Mira are here, aside from our usual team and Sting, Rogue and Minerva from Sabertooth. I don´t really understand why they ended up here, but Master said we should talk to them, as they now your secret." Just like the hot water from before, Lucy relaxed when she started to feel Natu´s warm hand, wondering if he was always like this. But then again, he was a Fire Dragon Slayer, so maybe he was. "If it´s only them..." He smiled and reassured her, dragging her with him.
Down the hall, a heavy silence was killing everyone, waiting for Lucy to appear. No one from Sabertooth felt relaxed around Fairy Tail members, specially their master, who gave them strange glances from time to time, as if he was expecting something. Being used to their own master, that one who looked so small and powerless surprised them, in the bad way. "Could it be he is actually a psycho?" Whispered Minerva, not sure how to react to him. But then Natsu appeared with a shy Lucy after him, sitting down on the floor near the sofa Lucy sat at.
"Lucy." Master called and the girl jumped up, giving him a shy glance. What if he was angry? Even with all the problems which existed between Fairy Tail and Sabertooth, the last one could help but feel a little bit of pity for the blond girl. She really appeared to be out of her element. "Why didn´t you say anything earlier?" His voice was calm and kind, allowing her to relax for a while, before she started to think how should she answer to that. "Actually..." she started and took a deep breath before continuing. "I was unsure how would everyone react... What if you thought I was only joking? Or worse, throw me out?" Everyone gasped, hurt by her words. Did she really think they would do it? Only Master reminded the same, nodding in agreement. "I was supposed to tell everything Natsu tonight, but Sting here demanded to know the truth and I had no choice but to tell..." She gave Sting a death glare before looking at her hands again, playing with them as the silence hovered like a mist around them. "And why did you run away?" Master continued asking her, watching her reaction. She smiled a little bit and looked up, giggling like a child. "The air was so tense... I just couldn't take it, wanting to go somewhere were I could be alone... And then I remembered that spell, deciding it would be a good time to experiment. You should have seen their faces when I disappeared." Unable to hold her laughed, she tried at least to tone it down, remembering it. "That sure was priceless." She added to Stings misfortune. Returning to normal after a while, Lucy waited for someone to say something. "They said the last thing you remember as... I mean, the first thing you remember if seeing a light, right?" Lucy nodded, wondering what Master really wanted to say before he rephrased it. "And about the magic part, it´s also true?" As she nodded again, his face went dark, as well as hers.
"I kind of remembered how I came to know them... you know, the magic spells and such." Everyone looked at her surprised. That was something she haven´t said earlier. "They are only parts but... I was alone in a huge room full of books, reading one after another, absorbing everything... I was always alone, waiting for someone... But no one appeared and I went out... Where did I go?" That questing shocked everyone again, as if she was actually living the memory. "Her eyes..." Sting whispered, pointing towards her face. They were silver again, sparkling softly just like they saw them earlier. "I wasn´t supposed to go out. No, no, no!" Lucy suddenly stood up, alarmed. "Back... I need to go back..." Taking a step forward, Natsu caught her hand holding her, not allowing her to go. "Lucy!" He called, trying to make her notice him. "No! Let go!" A light blinded them for a while and Natsu was projected back, hitting something. "I need to go! I was never supposed to go out... She will be so mad..." Small tears started to fall down as she tried to go out again. "Don´t let her." Master ordered and this time Erza tried to stop Lucy, only to end up being hit by something hard before she could even take one step. "Don´t you dare!" Lucy yelled, controlling the darkness wound her. She was furious, not getting why did they want to stop her. Her usually kind expression was twisted in a mask on pain and anger, as she started to walk again towards the exit, mumbling something so low not even Dragon Slayers enchanted ears could her it. "I´m sorry, blondie, I can´t allow you to leave." Said Sting, standing up along with Rogue. "You still haven´t apologized for calling me Lucy."
I kind of played around with point of views of the characters, hope it´s not too confusing.
And I this was mine longest chapter yet: 3 205 WORDS! Yey!
Anyway, don´t know when I´ll update again, so see you later ~
