About: Love scene between Katie and Travis.
Time: After the Giant War.
Here it is!
Travis' POV:
It started off with yelling. Lots of yelling.
Katie and I shared an apartment when we were twenty. Probably dangerous since we were both demigods but, whatever, we had decided. We could just defend each other if a monster just happened to come.
Katie and her current boyfriend was in her room fighting while I... You know...
Evesdropped.
What? I'm a son of Hermes!
I couldn't really hear what they were saying-the door muffled it- but even I knew pretty soon they would break up.
Yes!
Wait, what?
Anyway, Katie's boyfriend(read: soon to be ex. *does happy dance* I mean um, ahem. Never mind), Anthony something or the other(A/N: Anthony is an OC) was accusing Katie of something.
That was all I could make out from his tone.
It took all my willpower to stop myself from marching into the to room and punching Anthony's guts out.
I stepped back angrily and was about to knock when the door flew open.
Anthony stormed out, seething.
"I was wondering if you were ever going to stop." I retorted.
"Stay out of this, Shorty!" Anthony snapped. His face was bright red and he reminded me of a tomato.
I snorted. Okay, so I'm not as tall as Percy or Jason, but Anthony was just an inch taller than Katie... Which made him at least a head shorter than me.
"I'm taller than you, Pipsqueak." I countered, arching my eyebrow.
"Travis, please, you're not making this any easier." Katie said wearily. She stuck close to my side and I put my arm around her shoulders.
That just made Anthony even madder.
Score!
I squeezed Katie's shoulders for extra measure. She leaned into me for a moment before standing up straight.
"You were right. I do love him, not you. He's the sweetest boy around and you are a huge jerk. We're over." Katie said.
My heart raced.
At least now, I wouldn't have to deal with Anthony.
I admit, though, that wasn't the only reason I was excited. After dating Katie and-sadly- breaking up with her, I had realized just how much I loved her.
How much I love her. Yes, I'm still in love with Katie. No need to get sentimental.
I've only been two seconds away from killing her past boyfriends.
Hehehe.
Anyway, Anthony just stuck his nose up and sniffed. "Fine! It's your loss." he scoffed.
I had been expecting him to burst with anger.
I narrowed my eyes and looked closer.
Over the years I've gotten good at reading other people's emotions. It's a survival/pranking tactic.
Anthony kept his face straight, but I could just barely see the tears swimming beneath the coldness in his eyes.
He really cared about Katie(or more likely; he really cared about his rep).
Sucker! It's not my fault he's such a jerk.
Katie glared at him and Anthony left pretty quickly after that.
Katie shut the door behind him turned her back to the door, sinking to the ground.
I went over and put my arms around her. She was shaking. I hadn't realized she was crying.
"Hey," I whispered. "Don't cry. Anthony's not worth your tears." I wiped her tears away with the palm of my hand.
Katie sniffed.
"It's not him I'm crying about." she murmured. "It's the guy we were fighting because of."
"Whoever he is, he isn't good enough if he makes you cry."
Katie laughed weakly and cuddled deeper into my arms. "Oh, but he is." she argued.
"Would you mind telling me who he is?"
"And what would you do with this information?"
I thought for a moment.
"Congratulate him getting rid of Anthony then beat him up for making you cry." I answered.
Katie pulled away and looked me in the eye.
"You." was all she said.
It took me a while to process that, but by than she was already kissing me.
Katie pulled away too soon. She was panting.
"By the way," she said. "His name is Andrew."
I couldn't keep the grin off my face.
"Whatever. Anthony-Andrew- can wait. Come here."
Um, yeah.
Q: What colour are Thalia's eyes?
