Epilogue

Greetings again. Due to the shortness of this chapter, I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. I own this tale. Thank you again to all my readers for sticking with this for six years!

The rose may bloom and die, but the memory of its beauty lasts forever in those who have seen it. Max stared again at the words in October. The tombstone had been put up a week before, but only now had he had the courage to come here alone. I still can't figure how I can go on. He stared at the date of her death again, as if that information might help him make sense of it all.

"Cece… I'm going on a trip," he began, wishing she really was there. "I don't know when I'll be back, but I will be back. I'm taking a trip around the world. I know we planned to do it together someday, but… I need to clear my head. I think one of the places I'm going to see is Egypt. I'd have loved to see the ruins with you…"

He told her of the other places he planned to visit and as he did, a plan hatched within his brain. "I will return to you, my love, and with any luck, when I do, I will be able to bring you back to me." He laid a red rose down at the base of the tombstone, his face set. "Darling, I will return. I love you so much." He stood up and went out the gate.

However long it took, he would see Cecelia's smiling face again. No matter what.
