Jack Narrowly dodged the ice ball but while he was distracted he hadn't noticed the wave of snow that came crashing towards him, if it hadn't been for Wind he would have fallen off the edge of the plateau.
"Elsa! You've got to fight this!" He yelled as he dodged yet more sharp edged ice.
Pitch just laughed. "Jack, right now she's not even recognizing you! Your words are pointless!"
Jack yelled in outrage as he shot a blast of ice at Pitch but instantly, with Elsa's help it was redirected itself back towards Jack. He was sent spiralling to the ground where he landed on a soft cushion of snow. The zombie Elsa walked up towords him with her unseeing eyes.
"I'll show him." Mumbled jack as he forced himself on his feet. "Elsa! Your stronger then this! You've got to remember me! I'm Frost remember?"
Well she clearly didn't remember because she sent a shower of icicles flying towards him – that could also have been extremely mad at Jack Elsa too anyway. Jack expertly dodged but not before one of them cut trough the sleeve of his hoody. Jack gasped in shock as he continued to retreat and Elsa continued her attack. Jack tried to take control of Elsa' frozen arsenal but to no luck but he still refused to attack her back. So all Jack could do was continue to dodge and move backwards. However throughout the entire attack Jack still called to Elsa to try reach her. But, when, yet another ball of ice hit him the gut Jack realised that simply calling to Elsa was not going to cut it, he had to try something else.
As the silent Elsa readied her to attack Jack once again called upon wind and as fast as he could flew towards her. He grabbed her now ice cold hands in his own and he looked into her lifeless eyes.
"Elsa, it's me Jack! You've go to remember me! Please!" he pleaded.
Zombie Elsa just looked at her hands clasped within his own. When she looked up at him again, momentarily life returned to her large blue eyes.
"Jack?" she whispered as the dark haze that surrounded her suddenly vanished.
However just as quickly as she returned did she once again sink into the world of nightmares. The dark haze returned as the life, once again, vanished from her eyes.
"No!" yelled Jack in frustration, he had been so close.
"Pitch hurry it up, I want my kingdom before my hair turns white." Complained Hans from the background.
"Are you not enjoying the show?" said Pitch sounding disappointed. "It's a particular hobby of mine to make Jack suffer but since you're in such a hurry- Elsa, finish him off!"
Without question Elsa complied sending Jack almost flying off the edge once again. This was followed by a series of ice-based attacks which Jack was not always able to dodge. However, throughout the whole beating jack never attacked back, he refused to attack back. He was not going to hurt Elsa but that hadn't stopped him from forming a plan. It was a crazy plan, it could very easily kill him. His heart raced at the mere thought of what he was going to do but if it saved Elsa he didn't care.
Jack fell, once again, to the ground when a particularly large piece of ice knocked him in the head. He landed on the ground and refused to move. As planed, Elsa, seeing her prey immotile, slowly walked up towards him. He didn't move at first, he just looked up at the girl who was cold and lonely just like him but who had a heart that could melt any ice. A girl that was too good to be true and, he just knew, he would risk his own life to protect.
Catching Elsa with her guard down, he forced himself on his feet and did something he never imagined he'd do. He pulled the shocked girl towards him and kissed her.
In the dream, Elsa was a small girl. The same age she had been when her mother had first told her the story of Jack Frost. The same age she had been when she accidently hit her sister with her ice powers. The same age as when here life pretty much went down the rabbit hole.
In her dream, little Elsa was hiding under her bed sheet, cold tears running down her pale cheeks as she heard the murmuring of the people outside her door.
"She's a monster, she must stay hidden from the rest of the kingdom!"
"She cannot control it! She will be our downfall!"
"We can't let her near Anna, she hurt her once, there's nothing stopping her from doing it again!"
"Elsa! Are you in there! Please I need you! Why do you always lock me out? Don't you care what happens to the rest of us while you hide behind your door! Elsa I need you!"
"She's a monstrosity, the Kingdom would be better off without her!"
"If the people ever learn of her power they will fear her, is that really how we want the future queen to rule her kingdom?"
"Elsa I needed you yet you ignored me like you always did!"
The little princess just continued to sob and cry and wish for it all to vanish. She wished the voices would stop, she wished that the blanket that covered her could block out their painful words. She wished she felt safe.
"Hey Elsa, are you playing hide and seek?" The voice she heard sounded both familiar and alien at the same time, like she had heard it once in a dream. Elsa tried to muffle her sobs with her hands, she didn't want to talk to anyone.
"Hey Elsa, what you doing under there?" the voice continued as the blanket was carefully pulled from over her head. A boy in a blue hoody, snow-white hair and bright blue eyes. He seemed shocked to see her in such a state.
"Elsa why are you crying?" Said the boy concerned.
"I'm not!" She mumbled rubbing at her eyes.
"Okay, but something is bothering you right?"
Elsa gave him a small nod.
"What is it?"
"I'm a monster!" Whispered Elsa as she tried to hold back her sobs. "Everybody is scared of me and I'm afraid that I'll hurt someone if I use my powers."
The boy gave her a small smile. "Who gave you that idea?"
"It's true! I heart my little sister! She almost died!" Whispered Elsa.
"Well did you hurt her on purpose?"
"No" she answered in a small voice.
"Is your sister ok now?"
"Yes."
"See?" reasoned the boy. "As long as your intentions are right and you do not purposely try to hurt someone how can they call you a monster?"
"but I'm cold, I'm not like the others. I'm cold..." She whispered.
"So? I'm cold too and you know what? Everybody loves me for being cold! I'm like you, see? I'm cold too, but I learnt to use my powers to make beautiful things." Said the boy still smiling.
"Really?" whispered Elsa looking up at him with her large blue eyes.
"Yes, I can show you if want." With his help, Elsa shyly crawled out from out of her hideaway and instead of her bedroom she found herself in a snow covered meadow.
"Are you sure?" whispered little Elsa, worried.
"Just give me your hands and I'll show you something wonderful." Said the boy, now with a big goofy grin. The more Elsa looked at the boy the more dreamlike he appeared. He must have been something from a dream.
She shyly put her arms in front of her and the boy cupped them within his own.
"On the count of three ok?"
Elsa just nodded, the suspense was already unbearable.
"One… two…tree!"
Elsa just looked in shock as a constellation of blue stars appeared in her palms before vanishing and leaving behind a perfect snowball. It was beautiful.
When she looked up and her eyes met with the boys, she was no longer the child she had been only seconds before who had been hiding under her blanket. Standing in front of the boy was Queen Elsa, no longer a child but a young woman. Not only that, but she knew who the boy was- Jack Frost.
"Jack Frost." She whispered as he beamed down at her and she got lost in his eyes.
Jack Frost, the fairy tale, the boy that was too good to be true. Standing there, with her hands in his she felt safe.
"Are you ready to wake up now Elsa?" whispered Frost, still smiling.
With a small smile she nodded her head.
Then, to her surprise, Jack frost leaned towards her and kissed her.
Elsa didn't believe in true love's kiss. She never wanted it, she never wanted to be a damsel in distress, to appear weak before others. But standing there with Jack she knew she wasn't weak or distress and, for once, she didn't complain.
