D&D #10

I was woken up three hours later by Warren inside of the infirmary. I had a hell of a headache, and my muscles were stinging. I looked up at the skylight, hoping that it was just me having a blackout moment and imagining things, but when I saw the hole that was leftover from that Sister of Enma taking off, I slowly started freaking out.

"Jason, what's wrong?" Warren asked with tons of concern.

I looked at him, clearly scared of the words that were about to come out of my mouth like poisined water.

"The Gates of Hell have opened." I said to him.

"...no way. You're kidding, right?" He asked.

I looked at my hands. They were shaking like they were going through miniature earthquakes.

"I wish I was. I sorely wish that I was." I said after a minute of silence. I stood up, walked to the sink to wash my face, and wondered what caused this to happen. I took out my phone and dialed the only number in it besides Warren's: my dad's. I held the phone to my ear and waited. Then I got a very disturbing message.

"We're sorry, but the number you have dialed is not in service. If you feel you have reached this number is error, please hang up and dial again." The voice said. I hung up and felt severely depressed. This could not be happening. Suddenly my phone vibrated, and the song 'Guerilla Radio' by Rage Against The Machine started playing, which meant my mom was calling. I opened the phone and answered.

"Mom, are you okay?" I said, panicked.

"Damian, what's going on in the city?" She said.

I looked out the window and immediately regretted it. The city was burning, devils and demons from every circle of Hell were flying around and terrorizing the people, and in the center of the city were the Gates of Hell, fully opened with multitudes of evil beings coming from it.

"...It's Hell on Earth. Literally." I said, devastated.

My mom stayed silent for a minute, mostly because she was nowhere near the city. She was in Greece having the half-breed child, and most likely nowhere near a television or internet source.

"F***." She said. "Well, at least there's some good news. You're the older brother of a girl! Her name is Avarice. Isn't that ex-" The signal was immediately cut off.

I dropped the phone and looked at Warren in pure seriousness and rage. "Warren, since everyone else is most likely dead, we've gotta do something about this." I said to him.

"Why, what's going on?" He asked.

"Look outside." I said.

He did, and dropped to his knees in terror. His face was showing total shock, and he stared at the burning city in disbelief.

"What do we do?" He asked finally.

I sat with him and simply said: "Save the world."
