Chapter 10

One Winged Angel

Seymour felt a tingling sensation come from his toes and fingers. He stood in front of the Guado people in Guadosalam somewhere he once ruled and he intended to rule it again. He smiled and rose a hand.

"Guado people of Spira," he began. Some of the Guado looked extremely uneasy and talked to one another. "Listen to me!" Seymour roared casting a sharp look over them all. "I will be resuming my command of Maester. My first command is that we re-open the Farplane gate immediately. Guadosalam was the place people from all over Spira could go to connect with people that had died and rested in the Farplane. However, the dead couldn't speak. It was a joy to everyone to lay eyes on their beloved and it gave them hope, but Seymour wanted to use the Farplane for his own doing. Seymour looked around at the guards. "What are you standing around for! Go!" the Farplane gate had since been closed after the dead had somehow managed to escape. The Guado had become wary of what could happen if they kept such a thing open. Suddenly, a Guado enters Guadosalam waving his hands about.

"Maester!" he yells before getting down on his knees and sticking his head on them.

"Yes,"

"There...there is a man. It's on the television. A man with silver hair. He...he's burnt down Kilika!" Seymour lets out a giggle.

"What? What man? Is this a lie?" Seymour looks up at the crowd and the people look at him, nodding. "Who is this man?"

Sephiroth descends to touch a turquoise sphere with a statue of a man and with a light flame inside. He inspects it for a moment. Fire. What lovely fire. The fire shall be mine. Forever my fire. He begins walking into the temple. There are no people around him, they have all rushed down to help at the port. Sephiroth oes down the steps and stands on the elevator. He notices the symbol of Yevon on the walls. Yevon? God? Is there truly a god? I am the angel. Mother is the goddess. Is there truly a god? the elevator begins to go down and he ponders on the subject of a God for a while. He's still wondering when he enters the temple itself. He goes into the Cloister of trials. He stands there and closes his eyes. He feels fire. He feels Ifrit. The door to the chamber of fayth slides open on the other side. Why must I waste time on such child's play? He struts into the chamber of fayth and kneels on the sphere filled with fire in the middle of the dark room. There is a woman singing beautifully in the background. It soothes Sephiroth and reminds him of his mother.

"Mother," he says softly. "It's time to avenge you,"

Before in "The Planet" AKA "Gaia" - near the Golden Saucer

Tifa smiled at Cloud when he came into the bar. He always came in every Wednesday, every single one. Tifa wiped one of the recently washed pint glasses with a towel as Cloud came and sat at the bar on one of the high stools. The bar wasn't as busy on a Wednesday evening. Barrett had taken Marlene out for food and the usual guys were working later today. The bar was filled with racket though as the tv on the wall facing a load of tables and chairs blurted out the 5o'clock news.

"Good evening," Tifa popped the glass on the bar. "What can I get ya? The usual?" Cloud nodded. He was dressed in black clothing, a leathery jacket that looked to warm to be wearing in this summer weather. "How are you?" Tifa asks as she sorts out the pint of lager.

"I'm ok." Cloud pants. "Just been doing a hunt," Cloud hunted now. He needed something to do with his SOLDIER skills. There was usually someone wanting a fiend killed and delivered. It paid well and he seemed to enjoy it. Tifa glances over her shoulder.

"You better not of bought it in here! God. Barrett would kill me."

"Don't worry, I've already delivered it."

"How much did you get?"

"Five thousand." Tifa finishes pouring the drink.

"I see. So that'll be five thousand then please," Cloud looks up at her for a moment to try and tell if she was being sarcastic. she did momentarily have a sturn look on her face and then bursts out in laughter. "I'm joking! Just 10 GIL," Cloud fetches the money out of his pocket and hands it to her. Tifa stuffs it in the till beside her and watches him.

"Long day?" he asks as he drinks.

"Boring. We've had a few people in, but not a lot. That things on at the Golden Saucer this week so all the guys are there with their kids,"

"Where's Barrett?"

"Taken Marlene out. Some chicken place," they fall silent quickly just enough to hear the tv. A woman says "There have been some unnatural readings in the area of aura."

"Aura?" Cloud wonders.

"No idea. Probably another bogus story," Tifa fiddles with the rest of the glasses. Suddenly, a large bang comes from outside. The pair dart a look at each other. "What was that?" the ground begins to shake.

"Let's go," Tifa pulls herself over the bar and they race out the door. The sky's turned red. People are outside gazing above.

"What? Why's the sky red?" the ground shakes again. Cloud goes to his motorbike and grabs his Buster sword. Tifa clenches her fists. "Well...whatever's happening, I'm sure it's going to be a delight," the ground shakes once more causing Tifa to go off balance and fall over, smacking her elbow. Cloud runs to her and helps her back up.

"What fuck is happening?" they hear. Barrett's coming towards them with Marlene in front looking terrified.

"Who knows?" Cloud replies. Then a menacing laugh is heard loud and clear. The laugh of someone scarily familiar. It sends shivers down Clouds spine. Tifa feels her stomach fill with butterflies. "It's him," Barrett ushers Marlene to hide in the bar as the three stand ready to fight...fight for their lives.

Tidus and Yuna leave the others trailing behind as they sprint for the beach.

"What do you think we'll find there?" Tidus asks.

"I'm not sure." replies Yuna. "I just hope it's something good," Yuna felt cheated. All of Spira, herself included, had assumed that Sin was dead for good. But it was still alive. Why did it take so long to come alive again? Why now? What were the portal things? What did Shiva mean exactly? It was still so much for Yuna to grasp. everything had moved at one hundred miles an hour and she was like a snail, so far behind. They reach the beach and stop and look at the sight. The golden sound is now brown and black, burnt and vile. The place was also filled with fiends.

"We left our weapons," Tidus mutters. "How do we get past them?"

"We can handle 'em! Rikku jumps past them. The Al Bhed follow her wielding guns begins firing at the fiends. Yuna closes her eyes. This isn't what she wanted. No more fighting. No more death. Wakka puts a hand on her shoulder and gives her a sympathetic look.

"It'll be ok ya," he said. Yuna gives a very slow nod. The Al Bhed finish off the fiends and turn to Rikku for encouragement.

"Good job boys! Yunie! We're done!" she punches the air with triumph.

"Thank you," Yuna nods to them and walks past. Tidus follows her and they begin to search around. Light bubbles of light float in the air symbolising the spirit of the fiends being sent to the Farplane. Yuna narrows her eyes at one point where she can see a man in a red coat. He's standing up. When he steps closer to them she begins to cry. "It...can't be," she murmurs. Was it a ghost?

Sephiroth emerges from the ground and rises in the air. His appearance the exact same as when Cloud and the group had finished him all those years ago. This time however, he had two black wings sprouting out of his back. Fire begins shooting out from behind him and people begin screaming.

"NO!" Tifa shrieks. Nibelheim still haunted her. Sephiroth notices them and shoots to them at astonishing pace. Cloud pushes Tifa out the way and his buster sword clashes with a metallic sound against Sephiroth's long sword. The two stand on the spot against each other staring. Barrett begins shooting at Sephiroth and manages to hit him at the temple. However, it has no affect.

"Should I kill them as I killed her?" he laughs. Cloud feels his blood literally boil. He rams Sephiroth back with all the force he can muster and breaks free from the stale mate sword showdown and goes for a hit in the chest. Sephiroth flips back and raises his hand, flames begin shooting at the trio.

"Behind me!" Cloud shouts. Barrett and Tifa run behind him as Cloud casts protect. The fireballs bounce off and hit the ground before going out. Sephiroth sighs and clicks his fingers together. The protect vanishes leaving the team startled.

"How did he do that?!" Tifa panics. "Why are you back!" she hisses.

"I am immortal." he answers. "The dead will rise." after Sephiroth says this, a blinding light hits the red sky. Tifa covers her eyes. What is that thing?

"A portal," Cloud informs them. Sephiroth casts one last grin at them before entering it. "After him!" the trio jump and enter the light.

Cloud feels weightless. His memory distorted. He's lying on the ground with the sunlight hitting his face from above. He lazily looks to his side and finds that he's lying on some flowers of a variety of colours. There are pink and yellow ones, even blue ones. He drags himself up and looks around and see's a girl in a pink dress in the doorway cutting out the light from the open door behind her. She looks worried and walks over unsure of who this spiked hair man is.

"I'm sorry," he says holding his head. He feels a small lump. That's going to hurt.

"Yuna!" he calls. He doesn't look the slightest different to what he looked like while he joined her as one of her guardians on her pilgrimage.

"Sir Auron!"

Thanks for reading! This is kind of like a mid way through chapter a bit like when a tv show goes on break. I just need to think further ahead. I hope you liked the chapter and finding out how Tifa, Cloud and Barrett got sent to Spira. I completely forgot about Seymour for so long so he's definitely getting used more when new chapters are uploaded. I also want to concentrate more on the final fantasy 10 characters as I feel I started off well with them and now I seem to focussing a lot on the FF7 characters. So it's more to the drawing board here, I have a couple of ideas I have the portal situation sorted and it will be explained in the first new chapter. Make sure to review, follow and favourite!
