Ahna walked slowly behind the other two exorcists. She was still mourning for Daisya. She couldn't believe he was really dead. Just the day before he had been walking right next to him and talking to him. The last time she had lost someone it had been her parents… She didn't like those feelings.
"Ahna." Marie had turned around. "You need to focus on our mission… We all miss Daisya."
"It's just hard to believe he's gone." She sighed. "He was right here just yesterday… And now-." She trailed off.
"That's what happens with war." Kanda said coldly.
"I know." Ahna sighed. "It's just hard to accept."
Before Kanda could answer Marie stopped. "Up ahead."
"An Akuma?" Kanda asked.
"No… the general." He smiled gently.
"Let's go!" Ahna started jogging ahead. She didn't want to talk to Kanda anymore, especially about Daisya. She ran until she spotted a figure in the distance. "General! General Tideol." She waved her hand as he turned around.
"Oh! Long time no see." General Tideol smiled seeing the three of them. They arrived up close. "What brings you three here."
"We've been searching for you." Kanda said calmly. "The order sent us to find you."
"Just the three of you?" Tideol asked looking them over.
"No… There were four of us." Marie said looking down.
"Daisya…. He was… killed." Ahna said looking down.
Tideol sat down and started crying. "I see.. so Daisya is dead… It… It's so sad…" He removed his glasses and wiped his tears. "That kid… always loved to play pranks on me, using the charity bell to crack my glasses… He was such a good kid, too…"
Ahna smiled slightly at the fond memories Tideol spoke of.
"The body was shipped to headquarters yesterday." Marie said calmly.
"The charity bell has been taken as well." Kanda said calmly. "General Tideol, I humbly request that you return with us."
"If I recall correctly, Daisya's hometown was Bodrum, right?" Tideol said not paying attention to Kanda.
"Eh? Ah, yes." Marie said.
"It's a beautiful aegean sea town." Tideol drew out a sketch pad. He started drawing down something in a fury.
"General?" Ahna asked looking over his shoulder. It looked like he was drawing a landscape.
"General, the enemy is targeting you and innocence you possess." Kanda frowned.
"This is just an illustration of the memories I saw, so it'll probably be a little different…" Tideol continued to draw furiously. He finally stood up holding the picture he had drawn. "Daisya… I'm sorry its just a drawing, but I'm sending your hometown to you. May you rest in peace, somehow…." He lit a match burning the picture. Ahna wiped the tears that were forming. "I can't return… We're in the middle of a war now. I will live up to my responsibilities as a general. Moreover, I need to find new exorcists." He let the burnt remains of the picture flow up into the air.
"If God hasn't abandoned us, I am certain he will yet again send us new disciples."
Ahna sighed. She knew he was going to say something like that, and from the looks on the guys faces they did too.
"We will accompany you General." Marie said while the General continued to cry for their fallen comrade.
"What about you Ahna?" General Tideol asked. "I know you hate war."
"...I do but it's our job as exorcists to help people who can't be helped." She nodded to herself. "I'll be coming with you as well… We need to stop the Akuma… And using more exorcists we can do that… Let's go…" She smiled. Daisya we will remember you but I'm not going to let it stop me. "OKay!" She started walking. "Where to?"
