Last time:

Bella pov

Not being able to breath I began to see dark spots in my vision. But the last thing I saw before I gave in to the darkness was a black figure swimming towards me.

Present:

Edward Pov

"Bella!", I cried out as I watched the car sink fast in to the lake.

No this cannot be happening.

Before anyone could stop me, I quickly passed James over to Tanya and ran over to the lake. Crouching down and looking in to the gaping hole the car sunk down in to.

"Bella!", I shouted again even though I knew, there was not going to be a reply.

"Edward", Tanya called over but I didn't reply my mind was on Bella, and before anyone could stop me, or even pull me back, I jumped in to the icy lake.

All around me was darkness but I couldn't give up I had to find her, so I swam down deeper, and caught a look of the head lights. Swimming even harder I finally reached the car and looked inside, but Bella wasn't there.

So I swam round and there unconscious floating in the water was Bella.

My Beautiful Bella.

Grabbing hold of her waist I went to pull her up but something was pulling her back. Looking down I noticed that there was a belt wrapped round her ankle.

Quickly I untied her and began to swim towards the surface, while my lungs cried in protest.

Everything happened at once when I hit the surface paramedics took Bella out of my arms, and placed her on a stretcher in the back of an ambulance.

"Please let me go with her", I pleaded with a paramedic that was trying to check me over.

"Sir you need to go to the hospital, you have hypothermia"

"I know just please let me go with her, she is my wife"

"Fine", he sighed giving up but not before wrapping a blue blanket round my shaking body.

I quickly ran over to the back of the ambulance jumped in and sat down, James was placed on my lap and they began to shut the doors.

"Edward!?", Tanya cried as the last door shut.

"Bella, Bella?, Can you hear me?"

My head snapped in the person talking direction there was a medic standing over Bella, she had an IV in her arm and a oxygen mask over her mouth, her once pale skin was now even more pale like snow and had a hint of blue in it.

She was wrapped in blankets, and now that the paramedic finished talking the only sound that could be heard was the gentle beeps of the heart monitor.

Just as we started to pull up to the hospital, there was a sound that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Bella flat lined.
