Hey guys, I decided that since it's Christmas, I should give you a special chapter! I wanted to make one that was based in the past, but it just didn't work out, so you get this one!
Happy holidays guys, I am truly grateful for all my readers!
I own no one but my ocs!
Christmas eve
Christies P.O.V
This is my first Christmas at my dads house, and I'm actually pretty excited. I've grown pretty close to my siblings, and now his girlfriend is moving in. I like Nina enough I guess, she's nice and really quiet, but I just can't see what drives Dad so crazy about her.
"Umm, hi Christina." I look up from my text book as Nina hesitantly sits on my bed. "I was wondering if you would want to talk?" She asks.
Okay, this is the weird thing, Nina is really spiritual and a bit of a hippie, and she can only seem to whisper when she talks to our family. She has the longest brown hair that's always in a braid and it goes down to the middle of her back and she's always wearing summer dresses, even though it's winter.
"Yeah, sure." I say, unsure of what she might want to talk about.
"Well, you know how I'm marrying Chris, I just want to make sure that you and your siblings are comfortable with me living here." She asks timidly.
I just sigh and shake my head. "Look, you seem sweet and innocent enough, believe me, you're probably one of the nicest girls my dad's been with. But, you know, I know, and he knows that it's not going to last. You see, my dad is a celebrity. And, with that, you get obsessive stalker fans, you get girls flinging themselves at you, and you can't stay in a relationship for more than an hour. You two will be happy together for a few monthes, a year if your lucky, but then you fight." I breath in and release. "Then, you get tired of fighting, find out your pregnant, fight over a kid, divorce, then he moves on and you get your child support and dad sees the kid on Monday through Thursday and alternating holidays. He has a system, I'm sorry, but that's reality."
"But, he said he loves me..." She whimpers. I do feel like crap making her feel that, but it's something they all have to face.
"I know, but he said that to all his other wives too. Jamie Lynn O'Connel, 20, they got together when him and Hillary were seperated. Had baby Paul after Dad went back with Hillary, only one out of my siblings to only have his moms last name.
"Katie Danielle Ray, 23, they got together after the second trial seperation. After dad came back, she found out she was pregnant with Lucy. See a pattern here Fluttershy? Look, you had a good run, but these just aren't meant to last. My advice, get pregnant soon and you can start recieving child support in a bit while you move into a modest house."
"Look, I know that my moving in with your father may be an adjustment, but I want you to know that it won't be like when you lived with your mothe-"
"Don't you ever speak about Hillary. I put that part of my damn life behind me, she was one of the most vile people I ever knew. I will always refuse to talk to or about her." I say, trying to keep hot tears from spilling out of my eyes. "Who even told you about her?" I snap coldly.
"Y-y-your father. He's really worried about you." She says timidly. I'll admit, that was a bit harsh, considering she's probably one of the most fragile people I have ever seen.
"Well, tell him to mind his damn buisness. In case you didn't know, I don't talk about her for a reason." I say plainly, getting up from my bed. "I'm going to go talk to Dad." I explain, throwing the door open.
I stomp into the living room where my dad is drinking a beer on the couch with my sister. I glance at the screen and they're watching the Gemmy awards. That's weird, the Gemmy's are in the summer. "Hey, we're watching a recording of my first Gemmy award." He tells me as I sit in the chair across from him and Emma. He hits the remote and the tv goes black. "What's up?"
"Dad, what did you tell Nina about Hillary?" I ask glaring at him and Emma looks surprised.
"You told her?!" Emma almost cries. "Why?!"
"Look, I'm sorry, I should have told you two before, but I'm really worried about you. Emma, when you found out, you could care less. And Christina, you were in the car with her, and you act like nothing happened. I know that it's hard for both of you to open up about what happened with her, but I think that there's something that you're hiding." He says sincerely. "Nina is going to her family for Christmas so we have time to discuss this. Besides, she's going to be living with us, she should know at least something about you."
"Christie, your boyfriend just called and said that you were going to spend Christmas with him and his family this year, have fun." Nina says happily, grabbing her purse and coat as she walked by. "I'm out, I love all of you!"
"Uhh, when were you going to tell me this young lady?" Dad says, getting up and staring straight into my eyes. Okay, my dad has never hit me, but when he calls me 'young lady' or 'little girl' it kinda scares me. "You know how much I can't stand him."
"Daddy, what happened on the island stays on the island. Besides, it was a bit unfair on how he got voted out." I put my hands on my hips defiantly.
"Oh, is that what he convinced you?!" He yells, throwing his arms up as my sister shuffles away awkwardly. Well, Emma rolls away. "Christina Anne McLean, please, just tell me if he is hitting you or not. I don't want to lose you again, and I don't want to see you get hurt."
I know that I should just tell him that my boyfriend hits me, but I just can't. He's definitely changed since the island. I mean, I guess not everyone felt the way I did about him, hell even I didn't feel like I do know, but there may be a reason why everyone felt the way they did. I love him, but he does hit me.
What am I thinking, I'm being so stupid! He only hits me because I deserve it! "I don't have time to talk about this, Dad. I have to go in a bit, I'll talk about this with him."
Suddenly there's a knock at the door and both of us turn around.
Chris's P.O.V
"Babe! Come on, we gotta go!" Her boyfriend calls from outside. God, he sucks so much!
I walk open and pull the door open. "Ezekiel, what do you want?!" I groan. "My daughter is my little girl, not your punching bag you little punk." I say in a low and sharp whisper.
"I'll be right there, I just gotta throw my dress on!" Christina calls from her room.
"By the way, she's not going with you for Christmas, she's staying here because for the first time, I have all of my kids for Christmas and I intend for all of them to be here for it."
"No, she's going with me eh. And I don't hit her!" He throws his arms in the air as Christina walks out in a black cocktail dress.
"Christina Anne, you are going to freeze your ass off." I warn her as she grabs her trench coat. "And, you get back here by 8:30 or you're grounded." I cross my arms.
"We're going to be at the mall and we're taking my car, I have my phone in my purse, I have my wallet, pepper spray, pocket knife and emergency credit card. I'll be fine." She groans.
"Okay, be safe kid." I tell her reluctantly. "Just be back when I said."
"Fine, I love you, I'll be home at 8:30, so calm down."
8:00: Muskoka Mall
Christina's P.O.V
"Hey, Zeke, I should be going back. It's kind of a long drive back home and I kinda want to see my family. Baby, I'm sorry, but I really need to stay home for Christmas, my f-family really needs me. I love you, but you've gotta let me go sometimes." I tell him, looking into his eyes until he jerks on my arm with a killer grip.
"No, you're going with me. Why do you have to be so stupid?" He glares at me.
"I'm not stupid..." I whisper, trying not to cry from the pain.
"Don't tell me I'm wrong!" He says, slapping me across the face, getting a few concerned looks from people walking past us so he shoves me into a less busy shop.
"I love you!" I cry out. "Please, I love you!" Sometimes, I really miss being with Cody, he never did this to me.
"I love you too, but your just a stupid girl. That's why I have to correct you so much. Don't ever leave me." He smashed his lips against mine. It's not at all like when I first met him. "You can stay home, but you gotta give me a reason to trust that you won't cheat eh?"
"I would never cheat on you, I love you too much to hurt you like that. Besides, it's just going to be me and my siblings, no worries." I assure him.
"Fine, but we'll be texting all day, okay?" He confirms with me.
"Okay, I love you." I tell him walking out the closest exit and hunt for my car.
I unlock my door and turn on the radio and just cry. I look at my face in the mirror and there's already a forming bruise on my cheek. My phone vibrates and I look at the message.
"Baby, come home, I want to talk to you and your sister. Already put your siblings to bed, Nina just left. Dad."
I grab my phone and text back. "Okay, just about to drive home. I love you." I know he won't text back, he never texts if he knows I'm driving.
McLean Mansion
Emma's P.O.V
"Dad, it's our first Christmas with Christie tommorrow." I sigh quietly. "Dad, do you ever miss Hillary?" I ask him.
"When we first got seperated, I only thought of how much I needed her in my life. The second time, I thought of how much I wanted our family back. When we divorced, I was wreck. You were too young to notice the first time, and I'm not sure if you two understood the second time, but you remember how torn up I was after I got you. I drank so much and just told you it was because of how much I wished I had custody of your sister, but I was half-lying. I missed your mother so much. I think even now I miss her. You're too young to know this, but she wasn't always what you saw. When I met her, she was actually one of the best people I knew. Kid, I loved her more than anything in this world. She became angry and bitter when she found out she was pregnant. At first I thought it was just hormones, but she never snapped back to who she was. I wish you girls knew her like I did, I still remember and think of her old self." He says, almost shedding a tear.
"Yo' I'm hungry!" Christina says, tossing her keys in the key bowl and tossing her coat on a hook.
"You are just such a lady! How do you do it?" Dad asks sarcastically.
"I don't know, natural gift?" Christina says with her mouth full of soy milk and Happy-O's. "What did you need to talk about?" She asks, sitting on the couch.
"Wel-" Suddenly the door bell rang and dad stood up to answer the door.
"Hello, Chris. May I come in?" An older man asks, he looks about fifty years old and he has a rain soaked jacket on.
"Who's the old guy?" She asks me in a hushed tone.
"I don't know, but Dad looks pretty upset." I whisper back.
"What are you doing here Mathew?" He asks.
"Just let me in and I'll explain."
"Just because it's Christmas you bastard." Dad scowls. "You mess anything up in my house with rain water and you're outside. I don't care."
"Dad, who's that?" I ask, stealng a bite of Christies cereal.
"They don't know me do they?" The man smirks, shaking out his umbrella and unzipping his coat. Dad cringes and walks back to the couch and gestures the old man to sit across from us.
"They wouldn't know you, I barely even do." He said, crossing his arms. I just noticed this, but this guy has hair like my dads, except this guy has brown and gray hair.
"Ah, but I know them. Girls, have you ever heard of Mathew McLean Banking?" He asks us.
"No, you shut up and leave my kids alone. Girls, go to bed, you really don't want to talk to this guy." He tells us, still glaring at the man.
"Will someone tell us who the hell you are?" Christina finally asks in an annoyed tone.
"Let them stay. It's really a pity they don't know. Girls, I'm your grandfather. I am your dads dad." He tells us.
"Woah, I thought you and dads mother died years ago. I mean, the only grandparents we ever met were Dads adoptive parents. Dad, why didn't we ever meet him?" I ask him and he crosses his arms and gets the 'deer in headlights' look.
"You met your moms parents when you were two." He says defensivly.
"Oh, so how is she anyway? Hilda, Haylee, something like that." Mathew asks. I don't feel right calling him Grandpa, or anything.
"Hillary, and she's dead." He says angirly. "You would know that if you actually did what you were supposed to do!"
"What happened with you anyways? Dad, you told us your parents died in a car wreck and so Maw-Maw and Appa adopted you." Christina asks.
He just sighs and looks at the ground. "Yes, this man is my biological father. When he was in high school, he got my mother Marie pregnant. I was born a bit after he graduated. He abused us until I was ten. He walked out and left me without a word with Marie. Then, because he married a mentally unstable woman, she killed herself and that's when I was adopted. That's why I don't talk about him!"
"You little punk! Have some damn respect, I brought you into this world! I came back all this way to see you didn't I?" He glares at Dad. Damn, he and dad look a lot alike.
"Eighteen years too late! They called you and almost begged you to consider taking custody of me when she died.
"Wait, dad, maybe he's the reason why you can't stay commited! I mean, you can't stay with one woman for too long. The longest was Hillary and that was on and off ten years." Emma decides.
"Chris, I could help you with your commitment problems." He says happily. "I mean, I caused them so I bet I can fix them!" Mathew yells happily.
"Keep your damn voice down!" Dad shouts back, albeit at the same volume. "My other kids who listen to there father-" He says, giving us 'The Dad Stare', "are in bed. I don't want them to wake up. And, no, you are not giving any dumb advice on how to stay with a woman. I love Nina, I'm not going to ruin it by listening to you!"
Mathew suddenly gets up and flips the coffee table over. "I didn't ruin things with your mother!" He yells.
"THAT WAS MAHOGONEY! YOU DRUNK!" Dad yells, pouncing on Mathew.
"BOTH OF YOU! KNOCK IT OFF!" Christina yells, springing from the couch and hitting both there heads against each other.
"Get out of my house, get out of my life again, and just leave. I won't let you cause anymore sleepless nights. Go." He says, glaring at Matthew.
"Fine!" He yells back. Matthew grabs his stuff and slams the door.
"Girls, go to bed." Dad says, looking at the ground. "Christmas tommorow, Santa won't come otherwise." He says flatly.
We really don't want to argue with dad after what just happened. "I love you, Daddy. You're a lot better of a father than him." Christina says, hugging him as I wheel my way over to them.
"I love you Christina, more than you could ever know. I promise, I will never leave you alone again, sweetheart." He says, kissing her forehead.
He leans down and pulls me into a hug. "Emma, I love you so much. I never want to lose you like I lost your sister." He says and kisses my forehead.
Christmas
Chris's P.O.V
I wake up and it's six am. Jamie will be here in an hour, then Katie is coming at eight with the kids. I don't know when Lisa, or Kim will be by with the kids, but I told them to bring them early. After the fight with Mathew, I drank and just went to bed, I honestly regret it. My head is killing me!
I stumble out of bed and puke straight in the waste basket by the dresser. Damn, I'm really becoming Mathew. I'm hungover on Christmas, my hair probably looks like crap, and I have the weirdest craving for a bottle of whiskey.
Okay, I'll just go downstairs, take some asprin and start getting everything ready.
"DAAAAAD!" Oh my god, Emma's yelling! I grab my gun and run down the stairs to the twins room as fast as I can. What happened?!
"WHAT HAPPENED!?" I yell frantically and throw myself into the room. Both the girls immediatly scream and face the other direction.
"Oh my God Dad, put some pants on!" They yell at the same time. I look down and realize I only have a shirt on. I take it off and wrap it around my waist
"The hell happened?" I ask them, looking around the room for a killer or at least a spider.
"We wanted to prove to you that your a good dad because you just rushed in here with a gun because you thought we were in trouble. Granted you could have at least put some boxers on, but still.
The door bell rings, and I walk out to the living room, and grabbing my pants that mysteriously wound up in the hallway. I tug them on, toss my shirt into the bathroom hamper, and run to the door.
Lisa is standing with Jack in her arms. I reach for my four year old and hold him on my side and he just leans his head on my shoulder and goes back to sleep. "I hope you know that he stayed up all last night talking with me and Peter about Christmas with you." She said, glaring at me.
"Well, I'm sorry that our son is excited for Christmas. You used to love Christmas, especially when you were pregnant." I point out to her.
"Yeah, well it was a magical moment when me and my husband loved eachother." She flips her high blonde ponytail.
"Well, now you have a boyfriend that can't stand our son. He's a bigoted jerk who doesn't understand that we all need to work to help our special needs child. If you excuse me, I have kids to mystify with my awesome Christmas talents." I tell her and shut the door.
"Merry Christmas, Daddy." Jack yawns as I put him on the couch and turn on the tv.
"You too buddy. Go wake up your sisters, I'm going to start cooking." I tell him and the door bell rings again.
I answer it and Kim is at the door with John. "That shirt really suits you Chris." She sneers, crossing her arms.
"Is that a new shade of bitter you're wearing? Looks great on you." I reply, crossing my arms.
"Asshole." She says as she shoves my six year old inside.
"Bitch." I reply and close the door and Christie walks in with Emma using her crutches.
"Merry Christmas, sit down and watch Christmas specials and I'll make bacon and pancakes."
"Dad, you shouldn't make bacon without putting a shirt on." Emma warns me as Christina helps lower her to the couch.
"I'm the man of this house, I can do whatever I want shirtless." I tell her and take out a pack of turkey bacon and heat up the pan. Soon the bacon starts sizzling. "See, it's perfectly safe!" I call to my daughter.
"Just wait a minute old man!" She calls back.
Ouch! I just got hit by grease. Ow, happened again! Soon my entire chest and arms are in pain. "SCREW THIS! SOMEONE WITH A SHIRT TAKE OVER THE BACON, I CANNOT MAKE ANY DAMN BACON WITHOUT A SHIRT!" I yell and push Christina into the kitchen and head to my room.
Midnight
Me and my family all huddle in blankets while we watch some Christmas movie. The credits start rolling and I flick off the tv.
"Guys, I love all of you so much. I know that things never worked out with your moms. But, that won't change how much I love you all. I love Nina and I'm going to stay with her forever, because, we're having a baby!" I tell them.
"WHAT?!" They all yell together
Hey guys, yes my Christmas special for this story. Due to a snow storm messing up my internet connection this may be a bit late, but I tried to get it in on Christmas day.
I tried. Happy holidays guys!
