Sherlock stood at the top of the staircase and stared. Moriarty had decided to turn up, which Sherlock had expected, but he hadn't expected been expecting him to be holding Molly at gunpoint.
"I'd tell you to take the fall Sherlock, but you'd survive" the old vampire simply stated, pushing Molly closer to the edge of the building. "So someone you care about will make a nice replacement, and I figured I'd hurt the wolves enough for today"
Molly stayed calm as she looked to the shocked Hunter at the top of the stairs, stepping onto the lip of the roof.
"Underestimating Sherlock was a mistake Jim" Molly stated, looking to Moriarty. "You made the mistake of John and Sophia too, and Eve. But perhaps your worst mistake was underestimating me"
Molly dropped her lab coat at Moriarty's feet and took a step forward, her translucent feathery wings slowing her descent, allowing her to drop gently onto her feet at the bottom of the building. Molly looked up at the building and smirked, watching Sherlock and Moriarty fight above for the Hunter's gun.
The shot was barely audible, to an average human anyway, but the effects were visible as the 500 year old vampire tumbled off the edge of the roof, landing at the floor by the public bench.
Sherlock walked out of the hospital doors as a crowd started to form around Moriarty, handing Molly her lab coat back and pulling her into the idling cab nearby.
"Unfold them again" Sherlock told the pathologist, standing in 221B. Molly smirked and twirled around.
"They are unfolded, I just haven't made them visible yet" she told him with a chuckle, turning so Sherlock got a face full of feathers as proof. The Hunter spluttered and pushed the wing away as Molly made it visible, one of the ivory feathers stuck in Sherlock's curly hair, making Molly laugh as he pulled it out and examined it, holding it up to the nearest lamp.
"Is that Molly? Is she alright?" John shouted, using the wall as support as he worked his way toward the voices.
"She's in a better state than you, put it that way" Sherlock shot back, looking to the werewolf leaning against the doorframe, gaping at Molly.
"Are those...wings?" John questioned, dropping into his armchair. Molly nodded and Eve walked up the stairs, stopping and staring at the top, then smirking.
"Did they work it out, or did you have to surprise them?" Eve paused as she saw Sherlock holding a feather. "You had to surprise them" she concluded and the angel nodded again.
"How did you know about them?" Sherlock questioned, turning to the young vampire.
"Me and Sophia have known since we first met her, she asked us to keep an eye on you for her when she was busy at work" Eve replied and Molly smirked.
"After I threatened you and told you exactly what would happen of you got him injured, but he does that himself enough" the angel pointed out and Eve shrugged. Molly frowned as she looked to John, something occurring to her.
"Is Sophia downstairs? Because if John can't walk without the wall then..." she paused and turned to Sherlock. "He meant what he said on the roof, didn't he?"
Sherlock looked away from the feather, first to John, then to Molly with a quick nod. Molly tuned to John with a worried expression and the werewolf chuckled.
"I've lived through worse Molly, don't worry about it" he told her and her frown deepened.
"But he said 'wolves' on the roof..." Molly tailed off and looked to Eve, who raised an eyebrow.
"Sophia is downstairs, full of painkillers and in a deep sleep, I can hear her from here" the vampire stated, answering Molly's question before she asked it.
"You're talking about Moriarty on the roof, aren't you? He obviously didn't realise what you were if he tried to push you off" John looked between Molly and Sherlock, both of them nodding their answer to his question.
