Chapter 9

"Ook…" I said. This was awkward. I watched and ignored Max lecturing Katelyn for sending him outside and watched Emily and Justin stare at eachother. Creeped out, I said: "Ok …. Lets… um… go… to…." I said, trying to make something up …. "Oh isn't it family game night or something Justin? You four go play candyland or something …." I said.

Justin said: "Its Family game night. Mom and Dad aren't home anyways. But I guess we can play Almost Charades."

"Have fun with that," I said. "I'm going to Harper's. I heard her mom was leaving today."

"Oh then we'll all go. We all want to say goodbye to Ms. Finkle." My mom said entering the house. OK. Perfect. Now, coming with me, was: Mom, Dad, Max, Justin, Emily, and last but not least Katelyn. Talk about fast expanding.

"Bye, Ms. Finkle," Us kids said. We gave her one last goodbye hug as the moving truck appeared at the door for Harper and her father. They were moving out of the house they lived in, because it held sad memories. I saw my new neighbors' minivan come, and I noticed a girl with black hair sitting in the front seat, with her mother. Then a moving truck came behind them. Following that one, another!

"Goodbye everyone!" Ms. Finkle said. "See you in a month, Harper!" Then the moving truck left.

I helped Harper pack one last box into their moving truck. I closed it all up and gave Harper a hug, as she climbed aboard with her dad. "See you at school, Harper." I said as her moving truck left.

"Hey," The new girl said, climbing out of her mom's car. She held her hand out. "I'm Stevie."

"Alex. My family owns the sub shop over there. Oh and these are my family members, and a few friends. That's my mom, dad, my brothers Max and Justin, and my friends Katelyn and Emily." Everybody shook hands with Stevie, and we all headed back home. Stevie's mom came with us, and I went into the lair for a minute. I took out my wand, and made a total of 7 sandwiches, then I made one more for me.

"Ah these are so good!" Everyone said.

"How did you make them so fast?" Stevie asked tilting her head. "Its like you did it with magic,"

"Oh yea I'm a magician! Maybe I can teach you some tricks!" My dad gave me a lecturing look saying 'Don't tell her you're a wizard!'

"I want to learn that trick." Stevie said. "in front of everyone."
