Chapter X;

"Hans! Let's rest!" Elsa panted, trying to keep up- they were running for what felt like miles, miles upon miles.. Oh, she couldn't do it. Maybe she learned how to run a mile in under four minutes with proper training in middle school, but this hurt.

"No!" Hans yelled in return.

"We're far away!" Elsa countered, dropping to her knees, her breath rigid and wheezy while she panted. "I want to look for Anna, so please.." She yelled to him, but it was softer when her voice spoke her little sister's name.

"Okay, okay.." Hans stopped, shuffling over to the panting, coughing, hurting platinum blonde. His hand at the ready with his silver gun in hand, he looked down— towering her..

"Okay, so let's.. Just.." Elsa spoke between breaths, once she looked up, she was met with the pistol ramming into the temple of her head; Once, and another.. She fell to the ground.

"Oh, Elsa." Hans smirked, throwing her lifeless body over his shoulder before walking off. He knew this area like the back of his gloved hand at the moment, he had a secret base- and he was heading there.

He moved carefully through the woods, leaving faint tracks in the soon to be disappearing snow while he walked. The tracks would stay there for a while but as the sun beamed down, it slowly melted away, blending with the other snow.

Hans met with a bunker, above ground and to his nature- grinned. He walked to the door, with one touch of his finger print on the keypad nearby, it slid open to the side and he was soon engulfed in darkness once his body strode right in.

The time Elsa came to was the sun slowly breaking down so the moon could rise, she woke up with a hazy vision, hurting pain at her head and found one thing odd; the place she was in. Trying to remember, she tried to move only to find her feet tied together with shackles, while her arms were pulled apart by another set of the same chained up shackles that were embedded into the wall, as did the shackles for her feet but the ground beneath her.

"Hans?" Her voice was hoarse, thirsty and clearly not loud enough. But on command, the auburn male walked into a sliding door with a trey of what seemed to be utensils. What for?

"Oh, you're awake." Hans looked at her, with a slight surprise. Before he continued- "We can do this that way too." Elsa rose a brow before groaning to the hissing pain her head had, vision blurring once more. Met face to face with the male once it wasn't as foggy.

"What? Do.. What?" Elsa asked sternly at her second asking, clearly the male ignored her.

"You know, I did like you." Hans put stupidly. Before he paused, holding a scalpel while he admired it to his liking. "So beautiful, so pale, so blonde- so elegant!" He admitted. Until scoffing a little.

"But Anna, she was my favorite out of the Arendelle sisters." He continued on, walking over to Elsa with the same utensil in hand.

"Why.. Are you telling me this?" She finally asked, panting with a hint of tired in her voice.

"Oh, because you should know. I would've did this to my favorite, but guess I picked the wrong girl." He actually frowned before smiling, digging the scalpel into Elsa's stomach, blood slipping out like it should.

Her screams echoed the room.

"Kristoff.." Anna finally mumbled before waking herself awake, this caused the bigger male to actually gasp in shock, prompting himself down to the ground before setting the blonde against the tree nearby.

"Anna!" He exclaimed.

"Oh god, how long was I out? My head hurts.." Anna put awkwardly, plainly is another word to go by.

"Er, almost like a day?" Kristoff answered.

"Oh, okay." Anna replied, rubbing at the back.

There was silence before Anna gasped in a shock-

"Where is Elsa?!" She almost shouted, trying to keep her voice quiet. Kristoff shushed her a little to calm her, placing his hand on her shoulder for a little comforting. A tight squeeze at it before he replied.

"Well, she left with Hans.." Kristoff hesitated at first until quickly remapping his thoughts not to get anything different than what is reality, and he remembers Hans and Elsa leaving because he failed to carry Anna out at first. He looked at the woman ahead of him, she was slowly nodding before smiling.

"So she's safe."

"Yeahh.." Kristoff agreed, even though he didn't. Something feel odd about him, it just.. Gave him a weird feeling.

Once Anna tried to settle herself to a stand up position, she found her body a little sore than usual, anf almost fell over. Which thankfully, Kristoff was there to catch her in any way.

"Whoa there, calm down Feisty Pants." He told her.

"But, we need to find the others." Anna stared at him.

"I know, but it's best if we rest. Besides, everyone went in different directions, Anna." Kristoff calmly explained. Before he continued on. "I don't even know which way Merida, Jack, Rapunzel and Edward went off to."

"Oh.." Anna would say quietly before Kristoff helped her sit down on the ground, her back touching the tree lightly.

"I'll be right back, I'm going to find something to make us a fire-"

"That'd only attract them." Anna told him.

"Well we"ll eventually freeze to death if we don't have warmth."

"Well, then let's just head on until we find a place, I'll be fine." Anna stumbled up to her feet before patting the male's shoulder, adding on- "Besides, if I have you, I could always fall in your arms. "

"Only if you climb."

They walked in any direction that allowed them to, Anna hugging onto Kristoff's arm as they walked for balance. Kristoff yawned a little, noticing the sky turning darker by the minute. Maybe even the second.

"We're not finding luck are we?" Anna finally asked, shivering a little. Not exactly prepared with her jacket and other essentials. Kristoff looked down at her, taking off his black winter cap to prop down on her head, covering her red tip fainted ears of the cold hitting them.

"Thank you." Anna looked up, smiling.

"If you want, I can give you my jacket-"

"No, I don't want you freezing." Anna looked at the ground.

"I'd be fine." Kristoff told her, but Anna just replied with a 'nah'.

"Stop!" Elsa yelled, panting- tears falling, while her stomach was being brutally scaring, bloody..

"Oh, I'm having fun! Besides, I got to dig my name in. Haven't even got the S in." Hans explained her. Before slipping off his cleaning gloves in disgust of blood over them- ironic.

"You're a monster." Elsa spit at him.

"Oh, yes. I'm a monster. But I didn't create this world.." Hans spoke softly until he looked up at Elsa- "Now did I?!" He yelled. Causing Elsa to flinch, turning her head. Her toes curling.

"Just let me go, I need to find my sister-"

"Your sister is probably dead, because of you."

"I didn't kill her!" Elsa yelled. "You, you came and got me."

Hans mimics Elsa before turning around. Clearly not caring what happens at this point, slipping on another pair of gloves only to turn back to the platinum blonde with a smile.

"Ready for the S?" He asked, innocently.

"Please... Hans.." Elsa choked a sob.

"Oh, begging, begging, begging- you know, I like the sound of it." He walked in circles around her until he stated his likes, pressing the scalpel to her chin, tilting it upward until he just let it slide under the skin only creating a tiny cut.

"Of course, you wont do my wishes." He mocked.

"What wishes?"

"Oh, well, for one- you didn't trust me when I first showed up. You didn't let me anywhere near Anna until it took five months. You.. Accepted that Axel near her- it fumed me. You accepted Kristoff, Jack.."

"You're jealous that I wont let my sister date you?" Elsa laughed, weakly.

"Yes." Hans smiled before digging the utensil back into her stomach, slowly making the S that he so desired while Elsa's agonizing screams and cries echo the room, filling up the male's ears, just in general— making him happy to see someone suffering.

Ten minutes pass, Elsa finds herself waking up. Blood dripping down not only her stomach, but her chin, her cheek and her arms. Her stomach churns in not only pain but disgust.

Her head rolls back, embracing the cold night wind.

The door opens, and she knows it's not over.

He presses the scaplel to her thigh-

"Are you happy?"

"What?'

"Are you happy?" She asked, more sternly.

"Yes, why?"

"Seeing someone whose done nothing.. But give you a home, give you a place.. " Blood trickled down her lips before she had to run her tongue along her dry, cracked lips. Continuing.. "Just die?"

"Oh, I don't intend to kill you." Hans accepts his wording.

"Oh?"

"No, I just plan to let you bleed enough to make it into my new hair color." Hans cracks.

"I'm one hundred percent sure that's already happened." Elsa spits right into his face when he got close, he exclaims in disapproval. Wiping at it, sending the warm blood off his eye.

"Elsa! Thats no way for a queen to act!" He shouted, his nose scrunching up.

"Queen? Queens don't act like this! Besides, I'm no queen." Elsa yelled with the might and hoarse of her voice.

"Why wont you give up?" Hans stared closely at her, his eyes not leaving her cold ones.

"Because, I have Anna out there. Because, Axel will save me. Because, Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, Kristoff and Edward- let's also not forget Anna, will kill you." Elsa breathed through her teeth once more teeth fell.

"Oh, Elsa. You're wrong." Hans stated.

"For one, no one can get it. For two, Axel probably doesn't care, Jack's leg is probably broken and the others wont care one bit of you." He listed off.

There was silence, Elsa's head was rolled back to the facing floor. Blood dripping down, getting a clear view of what her stomach was cut into. Upside down, a name.. "HANS" it said.

"So, Elsa." Hans grabbed her jaw, turning her delicate head to stare directly at him. "Give up." He spoke softly.

"Fine.." Elsa admitted defeat.

Kristoff, currently holding Anna in a bridal, princess style manner while she slept with her head against his chest. She eventually grew tired, but didn't want to fall asleep so he allowed her in his arms. Kristoff himself was tired, absolutely, but he didn't want to sleep or leave Anna alone.

There was no end to the nearby woods, clearly everything just spiraled and it felt like one big circle.

He eventually fell to the ground once he found a nice place to sit at, resting against the tree while he held Anna close.

"Goodnight Anna." He mumbled quietly, letting himself get a little sleep even if he didn't want to risk it.

But it soon failed, he didn't get any- roughly half an hour, at the most. But Anna was out of his arms, just a few feet from her.

"Anna-"

"I'm fine." Anna laughed a little. "You were asleep, I woke up, didn't really want to leave us in danger so I took watch." She explained to the blonde, walking over to him with her small smile.

"Well, we should find a place anyway, or at least just keep going." Kristoff gruffed lightly, helping himself up before he walked off into the North direction. Anna nodded lightly before she followed after.

A whistle sound of something flying in the wind shot past Anna, missing her neck just by a few inches- nailing down into the wood of a tree nearby her. Only thing that was heard next was trees, brances- anything just making sound and a hooded figure running off. Anna caught a glimpse before running that direction.

"Hey!" Kristoff yelled, mentally kicking himself before running after.
Anna didn't know who they were, what their motive is, but why target her? Following them, watching her step and soon found a road that had houses just across. The figure out of sight.

"Anna, what-" Kristoff looked at the houses.

It wasn't an ordinary house, these houses were burned down to the ground, liveless- burned, bodies shown with their head's off.

"People burned these houses.." Anna choked back.

"Anna, let's get going.." Kristoff whispered calmly once at her side, earning a nod from the strawberry blonde before they walked off to the West in hopes for another free house.

With luck, and by luck happening at Six A.m, they found a place. Cleared out, good looking with canned food, granola bars and water in the kitchen. Kristoff was all happy over the water while Anna was happy over the food. No one else was there, just the things left behind.

"Oh, I miss granola bars." Anna took a bite of one.

"I miss water." Kristoff laughed, Anna joining in on laughing.

"We could always go to the camping stores." Kristoff finally mentioned, shifting his position in the living room.

"Why?"

"Well, they should have purification tablets there. It turns anything into water."

"Oh, sounds perfect!" Anna smiled brightly before she thought of Elsa.. It faded, and she became worried badly. Hinted in her expression change. Kristoff took a small gulp of water, not sure if he should or should not ask what was on her mind.

But before he could, Anna stood up.

"We should barricade the door." She finally put after a yawn.

"Well, I don't have any wood." Kristoff stared, watching her lock the door before she looked around.

"Man if Hiccup was here, or even Rapunzel, they could help us think of something." Anna scratched at her head. Thinking of something to do. The only thing she could think of was either the couch, a table or a chair.

"Well I'm out. Let's iust use a table." Kristoff walked to the dining room area. The table was long, roughly two feet while squared. He picked it up with one try, hoisting it over before it placed perfectly under the door knob- so it couldn't even rattle or pull the door open. Anna came back from the other end of the house, having placed a chair there.

"Okay, let's sleep, we kinda need it in order to be prepared." Anna stretched her arms before walking to the living room.

Kristoff offered to give Anna the couch, and since they wouldn't leave the same room as one another, he stayed at the couch or at least near the empty fire place. In mid-sleep of Anna's, Kristoff placed his warm jacket over hers before he decided sleep was probably the best thing even if it was roughly seven or maybe even eight a.m.

"Hans.. I'm thirsty." Elsa's teeth gritted once he came in the room.

"I'm not letting you drink anything." Hans told her.

"Why?"

"Suffer."

Elsa's head rolled back, before she had to swallow the taste of her own blood- that metallic, warm, disgusting taste that started to just grow on her as if she had no saliva left. As if all her life, her mouth created blood instead of saliva.

"Are you done now?"

"Eh, for now." Hans shrugged his shoulders, slipping out of the very long and very heavily buttoned lab coat to prevent getting blood on his wonderful winter outfit. He continued- "I'll be sure that if I see Anna, to tell her you perished." Before he slipped out of the room.

"You bastard!" Elsa yelled, trying to kick the shackles free of anything. The only thing she could do was move her feet at an angle or swing them but the chains would prevent them at certain point.

Hans walked out of the bunker, blood free and back to pretending.

While he strode through the road, he passed by the burned up houses and even the perfect houses that didn't seem touched.

What shall he do? He thought. Oh, for one, he could find Anna and do the same thing to Elsa. Although it's not fun when there's two people, or three if he had to involve Kristoff.

But of course, if he stood out just right, Elsa would in fact die.

Elsa continued staring at the ground once Hans left, expecting him to just leave her here. But one slide of the door left a hissing sound, and it confused her.

"You just went out." Elsa didn't bother looking up.

"Oh.." A softer voice echoed the room, it was nothing like Hans.. It was.. Softer but still sounded very evil. "Oh, I'm so sorry."" The voice continued on, shoes tapping to the steps as he walked forward.

"Who are you?" Elsa's head tilted upward with what strength she had, her vision blurring up slightly while he just became just a blur of colors together. But what she could make out was his hair sticking up in the back, sort of like it was planned that way, his outfit was a long black robe to the ground while his skin was a sort of almost pure white.

There was a click.. Followed by another.. and soon another before Elsa felt her body falling to the ground, hitting onto the cold cement floor rather hard and found her hands and feet free of? everything.

"Who are you?" She asked. Wiping blood away with her hands, or her ripped up shirt or what the male had offered to her — a rag.

"My name.. Right my name.. It's.. " The voice just hesitated before the figure turned himself around. There, Elsa saw him just run off. But with ths strength, pain and thirst she all had on her body, she didn't care if it was just her imagination. But of course she was free, so it wasn't.

Elsa helped herself up, hands on the walls while she barely walked out. Bright light shining over her eyes, closing them shut before she had to force her blue eyes to readjust to light once more.

Elsa gasped for air after a moment, feeling a slight suffocation in her chest before she went into a run down the end of a hall. Not wanting to wait for Hans to come back. There was an open door on the far end, so she slipped right out before the doors closed right up. Engulfing the moist air, the smell of pine trees and the water-y snow, while the cold nipped at her skin.

Elsa continued running, holding onto her stomach with that rag to prevent, spitting out blood if needing to before finally collapsing just a mile away from the bunker.

"Hey, Axel." Hiccup finally spoke up between the two days that he's been with the red head.

"What?" Axel tuened his head.

"Do you think.. The others are fine?" Hiccup gulped before he was placed to sit on a log.

'Yes." Axel confessed, looking at the bushes nearby that grew berries.

Hiccup looked around himself, seeing a stick nearby before he was forcing himself up- it felt weird, no leg and everything. He looked over Axel's height, slightly, seeing the berries only by a glimpse before he couldn't hold himself up, gasping in the surprise and pain that sent through him.

"Are you okay?" Axel turned to him, Hiccup nodded before he found his hand full of what looked to be black berries.

"What are these?"

"Black berries." Oh he was right. Axel reached into his backpack, pulling out half a bottle of water before he soaked the berries with the water while they were in Hiccuo's hand.

"Hey!" Hiccup looked at him.

"I have more water.'

"I meant, you soaked my hands. Why didn't you use-" There was a groan. In the Northen direction. They both looked that way before Axel pulled out his gun from velcro straps at his knee.

With one startled gasp, one jump and a small scream- a person ran out and Axel reacted quickly once they fell to the ground.

"Elsa!" Both yelled.

Axel turned her over, earning a sight that he never wished to see- her shirt ripped to her chest, her bloody stomach, arms, thighs, necks and everywhere was just gruesome. But she wasn't breathing.

"Elsa?! Elsa!" Axel yelled. He leaned his head down to her mouth, no breathing before he pushed down onto her chest a couple of pumps, counting before he would use mouth to mouth- breathing out into her mouth- back to pumping on her chest.

"She- She's still not breathing!" Axel turned to Hiccup after a moment.

"Axel, I think she.." Hiccup swallowed the lump.

"Don't you dare tell me she's dead." Axel glared at him before he continued to perform CPR on her until he finally gave up, resting his forehead on her chest.

"Axel, I'm sorry but.. I think she died.. What does her -" Hiccup screamed in fright when there was a startled gasp from the blonde, her coughing up blood.

Axel acted quickly, lifting her upper body to sit up, holding onto her in his arms before she was able to actually breathe in the cold, refreshing air.

"Axel?" Elsa looked at him before the tears came back.

"Who did this?" Axel gestured his eyes down to her stomach, then to her neck, then met her eyes.

"Hans.. He.. Tortured me.." Elsa panted.

"I knew he was up to no good." Hiccup spoke up, earning two looks at him before he explained the reason why- "Well, he was grinning when we were attacked in the house, I thought he maybe moved the sign, and he did take off with Elsa in a hurry.."

"You now care to bring this up?!" Axel shouted.

"Axel.. Don't worry.. I'm fine.." Elsa smiled up at him.

"But you're not.. Let's get the wounds cleaned."

He remembered what North had taught him, cleansing out the wound and then applying pressure if need to. With the extra ace bandages he had originally found previously with Hiccup, he bandaged up Elsa's stomach, her neck, her arms and her left thigh. The cuts weren't anywhere near bleeding out, but she could have bled out, luckily the neck scratch wasn't as bad as it could have been. Elsa explained what had happened, that Hans attacked her only to lock her in a bunker he apparently owned for purposes like this, judgement idea from her own opinion. Explaining his undying love for Anna, and how she got close to Kristoff, that he wanted to torture her instead of Elsa, but wrong picks happen. Elsa also mentioned that Hans has despised her for being complicated, for the other guys of their group to be closer to Anna.

"I had a bad feeling." Elsa winced a little, standing up.

"About him?" Elsa nodded when Axel asked.

There was silence between everyone until finally, Hiccup asked what was really on his mind besides Hans- "How did you get free?"

"I don't know.. This man, he.. Unlocked the cuffs, but I never saw him. He just.. Up and left." Elsa explained, her eyebrows kind of burrowing when she talked, trying to recall the male that saved her. "But I never got a good glimpse, my vision blurred up."

"Well, he's a hero." Hiccup replied with a slight smile.

Axel had asked Elsa to take him to the bunker so he could attack Hans for attacking and hurting her, but she didn't want to ever go near that place again. So on a secondary option, they left to find a place to stay.

Rapunzel lagged behind Merida when they journeyed more, hands at her biceps. Normally, she would've been fine with Merida, not than she's not a great fighter or best friend, but most of the times, Jack was with her.

"Punz?" Merida turned her head to her.

"Hmm- Oh, sorry." Rapunzel noted the foot gap between them, jogging over to her side.

"Ah know ye're worried about him."

"About who?"

"Ah'm not stupid. Jack."

"Yeah, I am a little bit.." Rapunzel admitted her feelings before looking at her friend- "And you're worried about Hiccup."

"Aye.." Merida said quietly, eyes glancing at the ground until she had to look forward upon hearing rushing water hitting her ears. She noticed that they were on a bridge, currently a roadblocked bridge.

"We could get a car." Rapunzel ran to the first one, it was a beauty purple color that she had loved so much. However, the tires were slashed and flat, earning a stifled groan from her.

Merida looked over the bridge, peering down at the water and at the site- the water was filled with bodies, and it was turning red near them.

"What is it?" Rapunzel asked.

"Nothing." Merida lied before walking over, hand at her crossbow tightly. Rapunzel nodded lightly before she was hoisted up onto one of the cars, only to jump right down. Merida joining in, until they made it to the other side- clearly not wanting to search for a car.

"Do ye think they're alright?"

"Who?"

"The others."

"Yeah." Rapunzel replied honestly before walking ahead of Merida, who had stopped before to ask the question. Merida waited a moment of just looking at the ground before she caught up with her friend.

They didn't really talk much, mostly because they really couldn't when thinking of the others. It was impossible to keep a conversation between them both.

They walked through the woods, eventually finding one area just full of them-

"Run." Merida grabbed Rapunzel's wrist, pulling her behind her. Without knowing it, Rapunzel had stepped on a twig that snapped into two. The sound echoed, and so did their running footsteps followed by red eyes running.

Rapunzel was slow at running, mostly because she wasn't one for knowing her way around the woods as she should, it was all Merida but Merida was ahead.

"Merida!" Rapunzel yelled, trying to keep up.

"Hold on." Merida replied, jumping up onto a log, shooting off any red eyes before jumping off of the log, turning on her heal and running after Rapunzel. Once she caught up, she grabbed the blonde's wrist to help her along.

While Axel and Elsa walked, Hiccup on his back, Elsa sort of leaned on him for help, considering her legs were wobbly and didn't want to work properly. With even more help, his hand was holding onto hers.

They found themselves in a middle of a town, where smoke was coming from on one of the houses, while the houses ahead were abruptly burned off.

"Hey, survivors." Elsa pointed to the smoke from one, unburned house.

"Maybe they're friendly?" Hiccup asked.

"Don't want to risk it." Axel huffed, continuing on without wanting to check. Elsa and Hiccup nodded to motion. "Especially not if this made Hans hit insane land."

That is, until there came footsteps and a tackle hug from one person and only one person who would tackle Elsa to the ground.

"Anna?!" The three all yelled in unison, minus Elsa yelling out in pain to the pressure of her sisters hug and the ground scraping at her already patched up wounds.

"Oh! How did you guys find this place?!" Anna asked.

"We followed the road." Axel replied simply, shuffling feet from behind of Kristoff showing up.

"Jesus, Anna. You couldn't wait for me to move the table, no. You just had to jump out of the window."

"I saw Elsa!- By the way, Elsa.." Anna sat up next to her sister. - "Why are you all.. bandaged.."

"Oh.. Uh.." Elsa tried to find the words, her lips quivering until she bit the bottom one to stop it. There, she finally said the truth- "Hans."

"Hans?"

"Hans did this.."

"What do you mean?" Anna asked, then followed it with Elsa un-bandaging herself. Once she caught the full glimpse of what the lettering said, how badly it was made- Anna covered her mouth, wanting to yell or curse at Hans, who wasn't here.

"There." Elsa replied, not looking up.

"Why?!" Anna yelled, wanting to cry as her voice cracked.

This time it was Axel; "He felt jealous. Elsa didn't trust him around you. He would have done this to you instead, but Kristoff saved you before anyone else could.."

"But Axel saved me. I was dead for god knows how long once I hit the ground. I couldn't breath, I was bleeding out and my heart just stopped beating."

Anna looked up at Axel, wide eyes and finally she stood up.

"I'm sorry, for when I yelled at you about Hiccup and Merida. I didn't think you would actually save my sister.."

"I will do anything to protect her, you even." Anna smiled lightly only to return to Elsa side, helping her back up with the bandages.

No one would talk up, not even Hiccup, who was great at breaking silences. No one, it was just quiet.. Minus the sound of whistling air, the sound of birds and the smell of burnt wood.

Once Elsa was patched up, they walked through the houses backyard to prevent people seeing them and to find anything useful.

One backyard belonged to a rich house, so it had a chained up door made of metal, at least six feet tall while the fences near it were only three feet at the most. So they just climbed over it- Elsa had help from Axel, as did Hiccup and Anna with Kristoff.

Of course, they still unlocked the gate in case anything happened. But what they didn't exactly see from beyond the gate or fences is that the backyard was full of bodies- not just infected, but what seemed to be human. So everyone had to be careful maneuvering their way through the bodies.

"Why would this backyard be filled?" Anna asked midway.

"Who knows? This apocalypse probably corrupted people, or they probably became cannibal and needed meat, or just plain liked to kill." Hiccup finally spoke up.

Anna accidentally stepped on a hand of what looked to be a regular human, a bullet hole in their chest. She didn't mind anything of it, except the hand just grabbed her ankle and caused her to slam face first into the ground, following with a pained yell. This woke up everyone else.

Elsa quickly grabbed Axel's gun at his thigh, shooting at the infected that held her sisters ankle before helping her up. They ran the way to the gate; shooting the rustic lock off with just two bullets.

Anna and Kristoff were in, so was Hiccup who was transfered off to Kristoff's back after finding out Axel running slower than before. However, Axel shut the gate with the reason why on him, Elsa currently was rougly half a foot away.

"Wait, Elsa-" Anna walked to the gate only to be caught off by her sister, also a round of bullets that went flying from Axel to stop the hoard off.

"Sorry, little sister." Elsa eyed the ground. "I got scratched." A sad, smile followed by tears and a chuckle that sounded more like a sob.

"But- But maybe it doesn't-"

"Anna, we know what it means."

Anna grabbed Elsa's hand through a hole, her fingers over her sisters. "But, we were able to make it-"

"Anna, there's no way in hell we could have made this apocalypse, just accept it.." Elsa turning around, back facing the strawberry blonde until she slipped to the ground. Shooting off any infected that got way too close to them both.

"Kristoff, I know it might be hard.. But take Anna and Hiccup away." Axel commanded, finishing off his last bullets before he also slipped down to sit next to the platinum blonde.

At first, Kristoff just tried turning Anna, which failed when she slapped his hand away. Anna fell to her knees, her hand placed on the blonde's shoulder, in return, Elsa placed her hand over her sisters.

"Elsa, maybe it was a bite that happened.."

"She didn't have a bite."

"Elsa, you can't just leave! What about me?!" Anna yelled, fighting tears.

"Anna, you're strong. You can protect yourself, remember?". Anna gasped lightly when she remembered their argument in the underground bunker of sorts, her lip lightly quivering once they got placed together.

"Just do me a favor." Elsa kicked an infected away once it fell to it's knees to bite her. "Take care of Hans in any way."

"You can do it, Anna.."

Axel yelled in pain when instead of the infected dropping, it grabbed and bit onto his ankle.

"Kristoff!" Elsa scolded, hearing the gate rattled a little with a force of a punch hitting it. Her head turned only to see Kristoff was carrying Anna by her waist with his forearm around it.

"Axel, you could have run." Elsa turned to look at him, grabbed the scalpel from her shorts pocket that she remembered now having, throwing it directly at an infected eyes before opting out to waiting for them to eat at her.

"Yeah, but I said I would do anything if it meant to protect you. If it means dying with you as a way of sending comfort, I will." Axel explained, a hand itching awkwardly and nervously at his head before hearing the blonde laugh.

"Thank you.." She finally replied.

"Besides, I'm now bitten." Axel kicked an infected away, pointing to the bite a little before his hand fell to the ground.

"Yeah, but you could have left me alone and not get bitten. You didn't want to run fas-" Elsa never finished what she wanted to say, mostly because Axel cupped her face and pulled into a kiss that lasted only a short moment before his forehead bunked lightly against hers.

"Don't be stupid." Elsa smiled a little, her hands placing over his before closing her eyes, knowing the small hoard nearing quickly.

Anna didn't even have a chance to say goodbye, to do anything to help them. Kristoff couldn't bring her even three houses away before she just collapsed to the ground, causing him to buckle and then finally let Hiccup down on a bench nearby before comforting the strawberry blonde.

Anna's arms threw and wrapped around Kristoff once she slid into his lap, crying into his shoulder.

"What does a scratch do?" Kristoff finally asked, once Anna's sob was quieter, the tears stopped wetting his shoulder.

"It's the same effect as a bite.." Anna explained. Pausing, only to sniffle and then finally use her arm to wipe away the already gone tears.

"Oh.." Hiccup put rather sadly, and rather quietly.. Not wanting to actually say anything, to be completely honest.

Once Anna was as calm as she could be, declared able to walk, they ventured on.

"Don't mean to ask randomly, but Anna, do you have paper?" Anna turned to look at Hiccup, rubbing at her eyes before she dug into her backpack that she had taken previously from the house they were in once before, just her and Kristoff, rummaging through before handing a notebook with an attached pen dangling to the side.

"Didn't know if it would be needed- why?.."

"I have an idea in mind." Hiccup paused, tongue running over his bottom lip before- "I'm going to create what no man has ever— a prosthetic that can move without a joint."

"But.. You need something to bend in order to move the prosthetic-" Kristoff turned his head.

"Yeah, and my knee got sliced along with the bite." He gestured down. "So no bending there."

Hiccup began writing down the ideas of what could be needed to make a prosthetic on Kristoff's shouder until he felt a hand on his bicep, turning to look at the strawberry blonde. Observing her red eyes, until noticing she smiled while the tears dropped more—

"Good luck."
