Percy POV

Percy has started to dread Lockhart's class. He has learned nothing besides the fact that Lockhart was a fraud. Percy learned that ages ago when he realized that Lockhart couldn't do any spells, even small ones, correctly.

Percy has learned different parts of magic by himself since he already knew what they were teaching from Hecate. He had such a extensive knowledge of magic, that Percy was sure he could hold his own against the headmaster for a while. He couldn't beat the headmaster with magic alone...yet. However, if you add in his sword to the mix Percy is golden. His sword fighting and magic skills combined, Percy felt like he could come out on top against a fight with Dumbledore.

Percy learned the art of potions to the extent that he was a potions master. (Which he technically was under Mr. Gardner's name, his alias. He's got the paperwork and everything.) He realized why no one could cure lycanthropy (being a werewolf). They tried to explore wolfsbane since it let werewolves keep their mind during a full moon. However, the truth is that they need to drink a potion consisted of coffe beans, asphodel, fluxweed, billywig sting, honey water, lizard's leg, and octopus powder. It is made in a very specific manner, any mess up will make the entire potion useless. Not harmful, but useless.

Percy decided to test it out when (he was sure he would) he meets a werewolf.

Percy got ready for Lockhart's class. He remembered the time that Lockhart branch in pixies saying how they were dangerous creatures. Pffffft! Pathetic.

Percy was sitting in Lockhart's class waiting for what he would do that day. Lockhart was talking about how pixies were dangerous creatures and were not to be underestimated after a joke and laugh from another student. He opened the cage and a bunch of blue guys started trashing the place. All the student hid under the desk. That is, all the students besides Percy.

Lockhart screamed like a little girl and seeing Percy stand up, he says, "How about you round the rest of them up, alright?" Then he proceeded to run out of the classroom.

By that time, a boy Percy knows as Neville Longbottom is hanging from the ceiling by his robe. Percy decided he had enough and yells, "Immobulus! All of the pixies drop down and Percy puts them in the cage. Percy then proceeds to use 'Wingardium Leviosa' to put Neville on the ground safely. He says 'Thank you!' repeatedly. All of Percy's classmates then get up and leave. Percy decided that since he was alone in the classroom with 10 minutes of pranktime- AHEM- I mean class time left, he would set up a nice prank.

Later, Lockhart screamed after looking in the mirror to see his head identical to a Cornish pixie's except much larger. Percy was sure half the castle heard it.

Another prank down the hatch.

Percy slept past Lockhart's presentation of Harry and him acting out his 'amazing deeds' completely unrealistically. There is no way he could defeat creatures like that.

As the month of November came on, so did the beginning of the Quidditch season. The first match was up. November 14th against Ravenclaw. Percy couldn't wait. Soon enough, he didn't have to wait much longer.

———Time Skip———

It was the morning of the match. Unlike the rest of his teammates and other Ravenclaw players, he was completely fine. He had a nice decently portioned breakfast with no qualms. When he left the table, Percy had a wicked anticipating grin on his face.

The match was about to begin. The 2 Captains, Davies and Diggory, shook hands and left to their team's side.

Madam Hooch blew her whistle, and the race was on.

Immediately Percy grabbed the quaffle, zooming to the goal posts to score on his first try. The other team got the quaffle but Percy intercepted a pass from Davies to Stretton. Percy passed it to his teammate. The teammate passed it back and Percy scored again. The crowd cheered. The team passed it back and Percy scored again. The crowd cheered and Lee Jordan made a surprised comment that wasn't very appropriate for the younger kids loudly into the microphone. It was close to the meaning of 'HOLY MOLY' but 'MOLY' isn't in the sentence.

As the game passed Percy made score after score until the game was at 170-10 in Hufflepuff's favor. Of course, this meant that if Cho caught the snitch the Ravenclaws would lose. So, she did the only thing she could. She distracted and blocked Cedric from the snitch every time they saw it. Finally, Cedric spotted the snitch first and raced after it. Since he saw it first, Cho was far behind and couldn't block him off. Then, at 200-30, Cedric caught the snitch ending the game at 350-30. THEY WON BY 320 POINTS! That would rocket them to the TOP of the Quidditch Cup.

Percy was lift up by his teammates since he scored 160 points by himself. Usually it would be the seeker, but everyone knew that it was thanks to Percy they won. If he didn't make the lead Cho would have caught the snitch.

Percy smiled a smile so big that he felt that his face was ripping, but he didn't care.

He won.

———Time Skip———

As December wore on, a new poster showed up on the poster board. A dueling club was scheduled for Sunday. Percy decided that he would go and defeat the teachers. He spent the rest of the week thinking on good jixes, hexes, and spells that would be appropriate enough for a second year. He decided to go with Expelliarmus. A Expelliarmus that can go through any sheild. Especially the protego spell. It was so weak. Percy made a sheild spell called contegus that protected him from almost all dark curses. Percy spent the rest of the week waiting for Sunday.

Percy was on his way to the Dueling club meeting. He waited for everyone, and he noticed the raised platform in the middle of the room. Finally, the 2 professors showed up. Guess who one of them was. Glideroy Lockhart. The other was Severus Snape. Once everyone settled down, Glideroy spoke about what dueling was while boasting about himself.

Lockhart decided to demonstrate with Snape with the Expelliarmus spell. Perfect. Percy got an excuse to use it. After Snape blasted Lockhart off his feet (WHAT A SURPRISE!), Lockhart made excuses of him letting Snape do that.

The professors chose 2 boys, Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter, to do the same. After Snape whispered in Draco's ear, they began after barely bowing to each other.

Draco yelled, "Serpensortia!".

A medium sized snake was summoned and began slithering torwards Harry. Lockhart attempted to fix it but banished it in front of Percy. (AN: Percy is standing where Justin Flinch-Fletchley used to) Before anyone could do anything, Percy talked to her (The snake).

"I am sorry that you were summoned out of nowhere. It is rude, I know. Do not worry, I will put you back to where you were before." Percy apologized.

"You are the new speaker! My friends told me about you! You are so popular. It is an honor speaking to you. Wow! I got to tell my mother, Nagini! Wait, actually, before you banish me, would you like to have me as your familiar? I would love the company." The snake asked.

"Yeah, sure. Let me put you back first, Ok? What is your name by the way?" Percy questioned.

"Natalia. My name is Natalia." After that, the snake was vanished.

Percy noticed that the entire room was gaping at him. Percy knew that parseltongue was considered a dark art since so many dark wizards were parselmouths. Percy decided to play innocent.

"What? Can't some of you talk to snakes?" Percy pretended.

That seemed to wake Snape up. "Alright, you gaping bafoons! Go practice dueling with the disarming spell. I need to go." Percy had no doubt in his mind that Snape went to tell the rest of the staff and ,more likely, Dumbledore.

For the next two weeks, suspicious glances and rumors were thrown his way. One included, "He will be the next Dark Lord!" Eventually, Percy was brought in to speak to the magnificent, the magical, the one, the only, ALBUS PERCIVAL WULFRIC BRIAN DUMBLEDORE!

Percy knocked on the door of the headmaster's office. He was greeted with a 'Come in!' Percy walked in and sat on one of the chairs, mentally noting that this was the first time he was going to have a one-on-one conversation with the headmaster.

"Hello, Perseus. Lemon Drop?" Dumbledore offered.

"It's Percy, and no thank you." Percy replied.

"Alright. I understand that there are rumors that are flying around. Are you alright? Is there anyone bullying you? You can tell me." Dumbledore said.

"Yes, I'm alright. No, no one is bullying me. I don't care about the rumors." Percy told him.

"Okay." Dumbledore said. "Now, if I may, how long have you known that you are a parselmouth? Does your guardian know?"

"I've known since around the time I found at that I would be going to Hogwarts. March. The snakes mostly talk about how honored they are to meet me, tell me a little bit about them and then go back to where they were. They have friends too. Also they keep in touch with their family." Percy informed him.

"Nice to know. Well, Percy, if you need anyone to talk to, my door is always open." The headmaster told him.

"The gate isn't." Percy pointed out.

"You are right about that. Well, the password will be 'lemon drop' for the rest of the school year. Goodbye, Percy." Dumbledore said.

Percy returned that with a nod and left. He was thinking of Dumbledore as he walked. He seemed kind at heart, but Percy's years as a demigod let him see past that. He had good intentions, but believed that he could dictate who would do what for the greater good. Percy walked away.

As December passed, Percy's skill with the Irish made him amazing. He was as good as everyone on the team, better sometimes. January came up and left like it was just wind. Percy got a bunch of envelopes on Valentine's Day, but he rejected them all. He wasn't interested in relationships. Percy understood that his relationship with Annabeth was over, since he would return 20-odd years older. In late February, Percy's match with Slytherin took place. HE FLATTENED THEM! Since they lost their match with Gryffindor too, they were pretty much out of the race. March took place and left just as quickly and routinely. Great grades, privately practice advanced spells, ignore the very inappropriate dreams given to him by Hecate, repeat. April Fool's day was chaos for Hogwarts, 60% of the many pranks came from the pre-set ones made by yours truly, Percy. Finally, the Cup match with Gryffindor took place in late April.

Lee Jordan began commentating. "Here is the final match, folks! Hufflepuff and Gryffindor has been dominating this season! They beat Ravenclaw and Slytherin! Thanks for that by the way. - Jordan! - Sorry Professor, just joking. Anyway, the Superb Seeker named Harry Potter has won both games with great catches! However, it is the Spectacular Hufflepuff chaser that has caught so many people's eyes blowing out of their heads! Never have I seen such amazing rapid shots! That broom, too, I don't recognize it but it blows the others off the field! Maybe it's foreign, who knows? The shape of the back really-"

"Pay attention to the match or else I will take that mic away!" Professor McGonagall yelled.

"Alright, Professor, jeez! Anyway, the players are about to push off and... they are off! Jackson takes the quaffle immediately, as predicted, and, no way, I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT! He scored immediately! Alright, Spinnet has the quaffle. She passes it to Johnson, NOPE! Jackson rushes down the pitch and shoots, wait, NO! He faked it! He got another in. The score is 20-0 to Hufflepuff. Alright, now, Bell passes to Johnson, Johnson to Bell, Bell to Spinnet. Spinnet rushes down the field, Come on Alicia! She shoots," A large group of red and gold groaned. "Ahh, she misses. It doesn't matter much, it's only 20-0! Never mind, it is 30-0. Damn that chaser!"

It went on like this until it was 210-60 to Hufflepuff. Harry spotted the snitch but didn't go after it since if they tied Hufflepuff will win because of more points. He needed to wait until they were at least 140 points down or better. However, Percy scores another one (that is 16 times now!). They were 160 points up. 220-60. Cedric finally found the snitch. Hardy knew that he couldn't block him off since he was behind. He could catch the snitch and lose by 10, or suffer an even worse defeat then last year (Last year they lost by 300) with 310 points lost. He decided to go with the better of the 2.

Harry raced after Cedric, neck and neck, until Harry got ahead by an arm's length. Harry caught the snitch. He never thought that he would feel bad about that.

"That's it! The match is finished! 220-210 to Hufflepuff! That's the first time they have won since 1969! Gryffindor caught the snitch, saving them from a completely brutal defeat like Ravenclaw's at the beginning of the year. Great match! Great match!" Lee Jordan shouted.

Percy was surprised that it has been so long since they have won the Cup. Shocking. However, he was happy to win it. Instead of being presented just the Cup, Percy got an award too. It said, 'Most points scored in a year: Perseus Jackson with 360 points.'

Percy laughed and cheered with the rest of the team on Cedric's and Anthony Rickett's shoulders. He felt so happy that he actually made fireworks explode saying 'Go badgers!' and a giant picture of a badger.

In late May, May 29 to be exact, something terrible happened. A student was dragged into the chamber. Of course, no one knew who except for the staff and Percy. (AN: In this version, Harry and Ron do not go and eavesdropp on the professors.) Percy was setting up a prank when he heard some teachers come into the lounge. He hid in the closet. He heard the teachers talk about the school closing and how stupid it was for Dumbledore to be sacked. They also talked about something horrible. Ginny Weasley was in the Chamber of Secrets, most likely dying or dead.

Immediately, a bunch of things clicked together in Percy's head. Myrtle was killed after seeing great big yellow eyes. She heard a boy going into the girls bathroom 'talking weirdly'. She was killed by a basilisk! The same basilisk! Percy remembered Hecate once saying that Voldemort's name is Tom Riddle, there is an award for a Tom Riddle in the school 50 years ago. The same time the chamber was opened! Voldemort is a parselmouth, a parselmouth opened the chamber, so Voldemort opened the chamber! Tom went into the entrance, the girls bathroom most likely, and after finding Myrtle he killed her.

Percy ran to the second floor after the teachers left, and went into the flooded girls' bathroom.

"Hey Percy, nice to see too again." Myrtle greeted.

"No time, Myrtle!" Percy searches frantically for a clue before finding a small snake on a broken sink via his demigod skills.

"Open" Percy hissed.

A very wide, slimy slide opened and Percy wasted no time jumping into it. It was very steep before it leveled out. Nevertheless, Percy applied a cushioning charm at the bottom near the end. He plopped onto it, and, like a pillow, he bounced up. He ran and ran ahead before sensing a collapsing wall. He applied multiple Wingardium Leviosas at the same time and got out safely before releasing it.

Percy continued running before finding a very cold, pale redhead. Immediately, Percy's mind went nuts thinking she was dead before sensing a pulse, albeit a weak one. He was gonna lift her over his shoulders when a 16 year old appeared.

"She's dying. Slowly losing her life force." He said. He was handsome. Percy could tell that this was Tom M. Riddle. He was flickering. He couldn't be alive, unless, did Voldemort really... I can't believe it... at age 16?! Voldemort made a horcrux!

Percy spotted a diary. It said T. M. Riddle on it. That must be the horcrux. Ginny must have poorer her heart out on it. What with her lack of friends and constant teasing from her brothers, she must have emotionally buried herself in the diary, giving this piece of crap her life force.

"Hello, Tom Marvalo Riddle, or should I say Voldemort?" Percy asked eerily calm.

"How did you know?" Tom asked, unfazed.

"Myrtle Warren, your award and history as head boy, my knowledge of horcruxes and you. Oh, and let's not forget the books on your alias, Voldemort. I'm guessing Myrtle was your kill for your horcrux?" Percy said, thinking of ways to leave and about the basilisk.

"Mmhmm... interesting. Would you like to join me? If you know about horcruxes, at 2nd year by the looks of it, you must be aware of the dark arts. I didn't figure out what they were until 5th year." Tom offered.

"Nope. I will just take this girl and leave, thanks. Bye." Percy walked forward to grab Ginny.

"Not so fast. I can't let you leave. I don't have a wand, so..." Tom turned around to the giant statue of a man with a monkey-ish face and started hissing. "Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four, reveal your secrets."

The statue moved and formed a great big pipe that a snake slithered through. Immediately, Percy shut his eyes and used the water moisture in the air and water in the blood of the basilisk to sense where they were.

Percy got out his pen and uncapped it to reveal riptide in all of it's glory. Percy was glad that he kept practicing his swordwork in the Room of Requirement.

There was an eerie silence.

The basilisk attacked.

AN:

Sorry for going so long without posting. I know, I know, major time skips here but I noticed that it has been 7 chapters and we are only 2 months into Hogwarts. No no no. Anyway, this is the exciting part. Can't wait to write it. I will probably start right after posting this. No promises, however I will give you a most likely soon update, hopefully.
