Mild Johnlock Warning!
It had been one of those rare summer days, with the temperature reaching tropical heights, and London's housebreakers taking advantage of windows left carelessly open to let in fresh air.
And it was this carelessness that led to the discovery of the body in the flat, the deduction that the man's rival dealer (and not the burglar) had actually committed the murder, and the adrenaline fuelled chase central London to apprehend and arrest the killer.
In an effort to avoid the paperwork (since Sherlock's return Lestrade had been meticulous about getting the correct forms completed on time) the two friends stayed out until quite late, eating at a little out of the way café before finally returning home to Baker Street.
After a shower to rid themselves of the dirt and grime of the day's chase, they wandered through to their bedroom, sweat already beginning to bead upon their naked bodies once more as the heat of the day hung heavy in the air.
John frowned as Sherlock pulled from the cupboard a fresh sheet, pushing the duvet to the floor and pulling the Egyptian cotton over them.
Sherlock smiled.
"For once this is the correct use for a sheet, after all, when Lestrade chases us down for the paperwork he won't want to find a naked detective and his blogger!"
A/N: So, this is the tenth use Sherlock found for a sheet! Thank you to everyone who has read, reviewed, followed or favourite this collection, and a special thank you to MrsPencil for challenging me :)
