As a teenager, Laxus took sick pleasure in corrupting the younger members of Fairy Tail. Gray and Natsu learned all their favorite curse words from the lightning mage. He slipped Cana her first beer when she was 13. The same year, he gave Levy a horror novel that gave her nightmares for weeks. The next year, he gave Gray his first cigarette, and bought Natsu fireworks. He also gave Happy catnip and left dirty magazines out for Elfman to see. He gave Jet and Droy horrible fashion advice just so he could laugh at them behind their backs (yes, that's' where Jet's bizarre top hat came from). The year after that he bought all the boys condoms – "better safe than sorry" he'd told them, much to their embarassment.

He knew his grandfather wouldn't approve of this harassment, but it was just so entertaining to watch the kids freak out. It was mostly harmless fun – except the cigarette, but he was young and rebellious. Plus, the little brats needed someone to guide the way, show them the ropes in life. This was his mentality. According to his twisted young brain's logic, he was doing them all a favor by mixing valuable life advice into a healthy level of teasing.

But one day he overstepped his bounds.

He didn't know what possessed him to do it, really. Maybe it was the way the sunlight hit her that day as she sat by the window. Or maybe it was the way she was sitting with her ankles crossed, dainty like a princess. Or maybe the way she rested her elbows on the table to hold up her head. Or maybe it was the way her white hair framed her face. Or maybe it was the way she looked at him with those blue eyes. Or maybe it was just the fact that the guild hall was practically empty and the opportunity was too good to pass up.

Regardless, he should have known better. But he decided to go for it.

"Hey Lisanna," he said, walking up to her table.

She smiled at him. "Hello Laxus."

"What are you up to?" He asked.

She looked out the window wistfully. "Absolutely nothing," she said. "Natsu and Happy went off looking for Igneel again and Elf-nii and Mira-nee are on a mission without me."

"That's too bad," he said. He glanced around to make sure his grandfather was nowhere in sight, then leaned in so his lips were inches from her ear. "You know, if you're looking for something to do, I bet I could come up with something…"

She turned and looked at him with wide eyes. "Like what?" she asked, sounding excited.

Laxus had a hard time containing his laughter. Her innocent mind was totally oblivious to the tone of his voice. Cana or Erza would have already smacked him and walked away. This would be too easy.

He pulled up a chair and leaned in so his shoulder was touching hers. She'd been sitting in a corner, so this effectively trapped her between the wall, the table, and his body.

"Let's get to know each other better," he said.

"How?" Lisanna asked, shifting closer to the wall to give herself some breathing room.

"A questions game," he suggested.

She looked suspicious. "You don't seem like the kind of person that would play questions games…"

"Well, you just learned something new about me," he told her. He was loving how uncomfortable he was making her. "Now my turn."

"All right…" she said, still sounding doubtful.

"What kind of pajamas do you wear?"

"What?"

"Just answer the question," he said, leaning even closer to her. He's never noticed before, but she smelled really good, like wildflowers.

"Um…usually a nightgown.." she said. She was trying to back away again, but she was against the wall.

"Cute," he said, smirking at her. "Next question…does the nightgown hit here...or here…" he ran a finger across the top of her kneecap then brought it up her thigh.

"Um…ah…" Lisanna was blushing furiously.

"Or maybe…here…" he ran his finger up even higher.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO MY SISTER?" Mira's voice rang out across the guild hall.

"Shit!" Laxus said, pushing away from the youngest Strauss as fast as he could, almost falling out of his chair. "Mira, I thought you were on a job…"

"Don't Mira me," she said, glowering at him. The aura she was giving off was terrifying, even for an S-class mage.

"We were just talking," he said, trying to maintain his signature cocky air.

The eldest Strauss walked up to him until she was a mere inch from his face. Despite the fact that he was twice her weight and quite a bit taller, Laxus was slightly intimidated. She looked angry enough to kill.

"Never…ever…lay a hand on my little sister ever again," she growled at him. "If you do, I'll carve you up into little pieces."

"…Right…but what about laying hands on you?" Laxus couldn't resist a snarky comeback. It wasn't like he was actually going to do anything to Lisanna. He was always messing with the kids – Mira knew this. Sometimes she even joined in on the game. There wasn't any reason for her to be this upset.

"You're out of line, asshole," she breathed.

"You're really sexy when you're furious," he taunted. She really was. Where her sister's appeal was like the delicate innocence of an angel that he would never actually defile, Mirajane's was the sultry danger of a demon, begging for sin. Her eyes, currently narrowed in fury, were a darker, stormy blue. Her longer hair framed not only her face but also her elegant neck, practically inviting him to touch it. Her fists were clenched, but he could still appreciate her toned arms that narrowed into slender wrists. She smelled like woods and water, different from her sister but not any less enjoyable.

Lisanna was watching the exchange with a mixture of relief from escaping her predicament and fear of whether a battle was about to occur. "Mira-nee, I'm okay, really…"

"Walk away, Lisanna," Mira said through clenched teeth.

"But –"

"Walk. Away."

Lisanna heeded her sister's instruction, and walked right out the guild doors.

"My sister is off-limits," Mira said. "You crossed the fucking line."

Laxus rolled his eyes. "I wasn't actually going to do anything to her, okay? I just wanted to freak her out a little." He reached out and ran a finger down her cheek. "But I'd be happy to do all kinds of things to you."

Mira's punch was so fast and so powerful Laxus didn't realize what was happening until he saw his own blood on the floor.

"What the fuck, Mira!" Blood was spurting from his mouth, where the force of the hit had caused him to bite both cheek and tongue.

"You think you're such a big deal around here," she told him. "But you're just a prick." With that, she turned and walked out the door.

Laxus lost his taste for corrupting the kids after that.
