I'm sorry guys! My internet has been down! So I'm Kind of worried about the lack of response from the last chapter. Did I make it seem like the end? Did y'all just hate it? I'm sorry but due to the lack of reviews last chapter, I won't be updating again until I get at least 5 reviews…. Just to put it into perspective, I got none last chapter.
Mark POV
As I felt a surge through the packs link and felt darkness slam into me I knew something had to be wrong.
'The Darkness was too much this time. Come my pack as you will be needed to defend in my absence' Rose's voice whispered in my ear. I knew that all the others had heard the message when I felt a ping of acknowledgement from each member. No one knew but we were all Shadow-Kissed, and would fight with everything we had to protect each other.
Oksana and I were already on our way to see Rose, so we stepped up our pace and ran the entire way to the cafeteria type room. I left my wife near Rose's friends –who were standing and swaying as if in shock- as I started to push through the crowd that had surrounded Rose after she collapsed. The court doctors had already arrived making it harder to get to her.
Alone I had no chance of getting through but I soon I found Mikhail (another of our pack). Since he had married Sonya and died protecting her he knew what had happened and was also trying to get to our leader.
He was widely respected after saving the Queen from the Strigoi so he got through a lot quicker than I would have. The sight I saw would scar me if I wasn't careful. Rose's skin was as white as a Moroi's, unlike her normal tanned appearance. Her eyes were dulled, as if they had no life in them. If she hadn't been breathing shallowly then she would have appeared dead.
It was obvious to anyone who had a slight bit of knowledge on the subject what had happened. She had taken too much darkness and if we didn't do something soon, she would die.
Taking her with little fight from the doctors, I carried her to her room, with the court residing pack members as we prepared to save our Alpha.

I hurt like hell. Not just my body but my mind as well. I felt as if barbed wire had been strung throughout my body and acid poured on my brain. Even in pain I had no regrets. Adrian had not been acting like himself. It may seem to those I left behind that I didn't care but they didn't know how wrong they were. These people were a part of my family once and in one part of my mind, heart, and soul they still were. I would do almost anything for them, including dying and going insane from the darkness that threatened them.
My mind drifted and I knew that something had happened after I had taken the darkness from Adrian, but after that was a blur. I slowly open my eyes to see not the cold white off the infirmary, but a soft yellow –my room. I turned my head and saw Mark and Oksana sitting in chairs next to my bed sleeping peacefully. Ignoring the pain I moved them into the bed and got changed to go to the gym. By the time I had left my room it was full daylight at 9am human time.
I walked quickly, trying to avoid the eyes that watched my every step. Although it was night-time for the Moroi, people were still out and about. I knew that they were silently judging me, everyone did.
There was still darkness in my system and I needed to get rid of it. I sped up and made it to my destination within minutes of my departure. No one was here at this hour of the night and that was the way I liked it. I could fully let go and not worry about hurting others.
I let the darkness fuel me as I punched the bag. Freeing what would make me insane if I wasn't as stubborn. I wasn't sure how long had passed before I had exhausted the left over darkness, even the stuff that I had pulled from Lissa.
I turned at a sound behind me. There was the one man who had broken me, shattered me, and left me completely withdrawn. Standing there was Dimitri Belikov and we were totally alone.
I started to go to the other doors, staying as far away from him as possible when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I spun around to see him too close for my comfort. It didn't help that he had started to lean in, as if to kiss me.
I then acted without thinking it through, I punched him. I got him right in the middle of the face that much I knew before I ran. I ran passed the borders to where a lake was. It was quiet here. I could think here. I knew that Lissa would be pissed when she found out but I really didn't care. Hurting him after all of this time felt good. It was then that I heard a roar coming from the tree line behind me. It was a black bear, and it was coming right for me.
So for those who actually read these things, sorry for my delay. Not only was my internet down, I got no reviews which in turn made me believe that I had made everyone hate my writing. So I ask this of you my loyal readers, Please review. It makes me believe that maybe I haven't screwed it all up yet; maybe there still is a chance that people read this.
Thanks a ton!
