The TV came on with an emergency report with a female reporter and her camera crew trying to get closer to a taped off lake house.

~TV Report~

"Ma'am, stay behind the tape." a HPF officer ordered firmly blocking her way.

"You can't do this! The public has a right to know what is going on!" the woman argued.

The captain of the Hyrule Police Force strolled over and nodded solemnly to his underling, who saluted his commanding officer quickly.

"What's going on?" the woman asked shoving her microphone in the man's face.

The captain gently pushed the microphone slightly back, "We still don't know for sure what's going on, but we do know that a group of teens from Hyrule Royal Academy were attacked this evening during a party. We are still getting statements from the children so we won't know more until later, excuse me." the captain said before leaving again to get back to work.

Some officers escorted a large group of kids out of the lake house. They were hanging onto each other for comfort.

The captain walked over to a group of fourteen teens recounting the evening's event. The reporter slinked around the perimeter to get closer so they could catch their words.

"There have been other reports that a blond female left with your Headmistress from the Academy, is that correct?" the captain asked as one of his other officers was ready to write down their statements.

"No, it's not true." a guy with blond hair informed the officers.

"Link...!" a shorter redhead growled pulling him away for a second, earning confused looks from the officers.

"What, Malon?" Link asked.

"We need to tell them the truth." Malon informed him.

"She's correct." Fi stated emotionlessly, the others nodded.

"Headmistress said to forget this even happened." Midna said softly.

Link smiled slightly with a nod. The captain cleared his throat.

"Tell us the truth and nothing else because we will arrest you for sidetracking our investigation." the captain ordered with a challenging look.

The teens gulped in fear and uncertainty, "Fine... All we know is that some girl and her boyfriend got attacked by something on their walk..." Link said, getting interrupted by Midna.

"Their names are Amanda Todd and Richard Martinez. Ricky is two years older than Mandy, who's in our Chem class at the Academy." Midna stated.

"We heard her crying and screaming for help when she ran back here covered in blood. Everyone gathered around to see if it was a prank, you know how people like to cause trouble at parties." Ruto said.

"My roommate asked her what happened and told us to call you guys for help..." Malon trailed off.

The captain nodded, "She is very smart...where is you're roommate by the way?"

The teens all looked at each other for an acceptable answer to give the officers.

"She's the blond that left with the Headmistress." a taller blond sighed, finally giving them a lead.

Link glared at him, "Sheik!" he warned.

"We have to tell them, dude. Maybe they can help catch the guy who is murdering innocent people." Sheik stated.

"But how is telling them about Zel leaving with the Headmistress helping them catch a murder!" Link semi-yelled.

"Link does have a point..." a dark haired guy that looked like the shorter blond stated thoughtfully, gaining everyone's attention.

"How so, Dark?" the twin girl with her hair down asked with her arms crossed, the other with her hair up nodded in agreement.

"She just left a party, Maddy, it's not like she is a murderer or something. Plus Link was with her the whole time while we were dealing with the craziness inside." Dark reminded them.

"Is this true?" the officers asked, turning to Link.

"Um..." Link trailed off nervously.

"Were you?" his friends asked.

"He's not going to admit it because he was making out with her, I was keeping an eye on them." Shade shrugged nonchalantly, making Link's face turn bright red with embarrassment.

"Bro, seriously?" Dark asked holding up a hand for his older brother to high-five, they high-fived to Link's chagrin.

"Shut up..." Link muttered.

"Do we have a name to go on for the Headmistress yet?" the captain asked his officers for an update.

They all shook their heads in response.

"Zel, mentioned a name...Impa I think is what she called her." Link informed thoughtfully, tapping his chin in thought.

The others nodded, "What's up with calling her Zel all of the sudden?" Mido asked, Sheik winked suggestively at Link, who blushed slightly.

"Um...it's just a nickname." Link muttered.

"Does she have an actual name?" an officer asked, the captain waiting patiently for an answer.

"Zelda Harkinson she moved here about three months ago. She was home schooled and loves history." Malon informed. "That's all we know about her."

"She doesn't really like to take about her past." Saria stated, earning a glare from Link and Malon. "What?"

Everyone shook their heads at her naiveness and ability to trust practically anyone right away.

"Do you think she could be the murderer?" the reporter asked, making the whole group jump in surprise at her question.

The teens death glared the lady and camera crew, the officers hurried to block them from the camera and the captain ordered two of his men to escort them away and ordered three others to move back the perimeter for the kids' privacy. The officers jump into action quickly to please their boss.

"Hey!? You can't pretend that nothing happened when an innocent person is dead! People have the right to know what the hell is going on and I won't be the only one searching for answers!" the lady yelled as she was pushed away with her crew.

~TV Report End~

The captain muttered under his breath, "We'll let you know once we figure out what the hell is going on here in Hyrule..."

He smiled slightly to make the teens feel better, "Thank you for the information we'll let you know when we find out anything."

"What about my parent's lake house?" Midna asked.

The captain frowned apologetically, "We have to gather evidence and any clues before we allow anyone back in. I'm sorry for the intrusion of privacy, but we need to catch the person murdering innocent people."

Midna nodded in understanding, "I don't think my parents will ever let me host another party after this..." she sighed, making everyone chuckle slightly.

"We'll let you and your family know when you can go back in and when I talk to them I'll put in a good word for you." the captain promised before nodding a goodbye and walked off to talk to one of his men.

"Thank you!" Midna called after him, he smiled slightly and nodded in acknowledgement.

"You better call your parents to come get you or I can have an officer drop you back off at the Academy. I don't want to see any of you driving back this late especially after the trauma you've all been through tonight." he said, the kids chorused okays and thank yous for the offer.

Everyone stood there silently for what seemed like an eternity, "What do we do now?" Saria asked, breaking the tense and awkward silence.

Malon frowned in worry, "She's okay, Malon, Zelda is with the Headmistress." Kafei stated gently wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into his side.

She nodded solemnly, "Yeah, but it still doesn't make me feel any better..." she trailed off quietly.

"We did the right thing by telling the authorities what we know." Fi stated firmly, the others nodded slowly in agreement.

"But we betrayed Zelda and the Headmistress's trust when we told the police about them leaving." Link said guiltily.

"Fi's right though, we had to, Link, if we didn't we wouldn't be helping ourselves, innocent people, or them by catching the person causing all of this." Sheik said, Link nodded.

Everyone was silent again, "So...who wants to call their parents to pick us up?" Ruto asked.

Everyone looked at her with a 'you brought it up so you should' look.

Ruto shook her head quickly knowing what the look meant, "No way in hell am I calling my parents plus they don't see that I even exist most of the time."

Everyone turned towards Link and Dark, "What? Our parents live in Ordon so we can't call them." Link said, Dark and Shade nodded in confirmation.

Everyone turned towards Midna when she spoke up.

"My parents probably want to kill me already for getting in trouble with the law even though it's not my fault so I'm not asking." Midna stated with her hands up in defense.

Everyone nodded sagely knowing that she's right.

"My parents are in Kakariko with Maddy and Zoey's parents." Saria said, the twins ohhed in realization of that is whom their parents went with to Kakariko Village.

"I didn't know that!" Zoey stated, Maddy nodded.

"I didn't know until my parents called me the day before they left." Saria sighed dramatically.

Everyone laughed, Sheik sighed, "I'll call mine." he said pulling out his phone to make the quick call.

They sighed in relief that someone's parents would be able to take them back to the Academy.

A few seconds later Sheik hung up, "My parents can't make it since they're in a meeting right now..." Sheik said getting interrupted by groans. "But my father sent out one of the chauffeurs to pick us up and take us back to the Academy. Plus they gave me a lecture about how I shouldn't crash other people's parties. They are such hypocrites when they do the exact same thing." he sighed rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"It all right! We have GUMMMMMY BEEEEAAARS!" Saria semi-yelled randomly pulling out a king size pack of gummy bears and started gobbling them at the speed of light.

Everyone stared wide-eyed at her, "I don't want to know where she was keeping those all this time..." Ruto trailed off, Midna nodded in agreement stiffly.

They waited for another five minutes before a limo pulled up to the witnesses, officers, and reporter's surprise.

The group of teens walked over and got in without a second glance as the officers flagged them out of the mess of people who came to watch or get on the news.

The window divider rolled down, "I hope you are all safe...where is Miss Harkinson?" their chauffeur asked politely like he was asking about the weather, but Sheik could tell the hint of worry in the man's voice like knowing the sky is blue.

"She left the party early..." Sheik stated as an excuse for her not to be with them.

The man nodded in understanding and rolled the divider back up for their privacy.

"I miss Zelly..." Saria whine quietly with a pout.

Midna patted her knee supportively, "We all do, Saria..." she said, frowning in worry towards Malon in her silence and staring blankly out the window form.

"We are here." the chauffeur informed as everyone got out. "Master Sheik, your father wanted me to give you this." he said handing the young man a mysterious package.

Sheik took it and thanked him before the man drove away and they headed onto campus. They all instinctively walked to Malon's dorm. Midna took Malon's keys from the still zombie-like girl and unlocked the door so everyone can go on in while she lead the redhead in and closed the door behind them and locked it once again. Everyone plopped down on the couch, chairs, and floor and stared at the package on Sheik's lap.

"Should we open it?" Maddy asked, everyone shrug.

"I say we open it and see what's inside before I rip it open myself and I'll even open it with my teeth if I have too." Zoey declared, nobody argued a reason for not opening it so Sheik carefully ripped it open for them to see.

Saria jumped to her feet and started bouncing on the balls of her feet in barely contained excitement, "A FREAKING BOX!" Saria whined loudly before plopping back down on the floor with a pout and started poking Mido in the arm because of boredom.

Everyone smiled slightly that she can still act like everything is still normal when it's far from the actual truth, making them feel slightly better.

Sheik opened the delicately old wooden box, his mouth dropped open in shock at its contents.

If Saria was a dog her ears would be pricked in excitement as she charged Sheik to see what had him speechless.

Everyone stood up as soon as Saria squealed and started jumping up and down while clapping.

Everyone except Malon gathered around to see what the box contained. "Malon..."Midna said, knocking the redhead back into reality.

"Sorry...I guess I'm still in shock that Zelda just left like she did..." Malon muttered quietly, everyone nodded solemnly.

"We feel the exact same, Malon, but I'm sure you would love to see this for yourself." Link smiled slightly as Malon stood up from the couch and silently inched her way to Sheik's side to see inside the box.

Malon smiled sadly as she tried to not burst out crying in front of her best friends, she covered her mouth to stop the sobs from leaving her dry throat. She carefully lifted up a small envelope with her name printed on it in Zelda's elegant handwriting.

"You should read it." Sheik smiled as the others nodded in agreement as they started to head for the door.

"Please stay just for tonight...I can't stand being alone right now...and read this." she said indicating the envelope in her hands.

Everyone nodded in agreement; one: because they wanted to know what Zelda wrote and second: because they can't stand leaving Malon all alone in her dorm while depress.

They gathered around her on the couch to listen to what their missing friend couldn't say to them when she left abruptly.

Malon wiped away a stray tear that got past her defenses before carefully opening the envelope to reveal a white pristine piece of folded stationery. She unfolded it carefully, it had golden lines as a border with little golden flowers at the corners.

Malon took in a deep shaky breath before reading the letter out loud.

Dear Malon,

I'm sorry. That's all I can really say is that I'm sorry we can't be close like we should be. I'm sorry everyone because I know Malon will read this to you all when I'm gone. I needed to say that and I hope someday you will all be able to forgive me. Malon, that one day you asked me if the Headmistress was my mother...not exactly, but I can say we're close that's one of the reasons why I was allowed to go to the Academy so late in the year.

Anyway, you've all been like brothers and sisters to me and welcomed me so kindly when I could have been some snobby girl. I don't know how much luckier I could have been to be able to recieve any of this good stuff to come into my life especially you, Link, but I'm glad I got to experience all of this. I feel so lucky to have this opportunity, but I know that it might end at anytime. Malon, don't freak out because I know that you'll assume the worst. I'm not committing suicide or dying by an illness...I don't know how to phrase this without getting into trouble when Headmistress reads this to make sure I don't say, well technically write something I shouldn't. I'll try though... I have to leave that's the only way we can move forward. I have no idea where I'll go or do, but I'll always have a place in my heart for you and the whole group...even Dark and Shade. You have been such wonderful friends...my only best friends, thank you for everything.

-Zelda

Saria burst into tears, Mido hugged her into his side and rubbed her back gently in comfort as he wiped away a stray tear. Since Saria started crying, all of the girls started bawling their eyes out. The guys all stared at each other for a second before trying to comfort the girl they liked.

Malon just stared down at the paper, letting her tears fall silently onto the piece of paper.

Link hugged her tightly in comfort, "It's okay, Malon, see she's safe..." Link trailed off, letting Malon cry into his shoulder.

He frowned slightly over her shoulder, he stared out the one window in the dorm which was next to the door. He noticed a girl with long blond hair turn to look at him as she hurried past.

Zelda!?

ChaoChao: Is it really Zelda or is Link starting to see things, you decide! Also tell me how many chapters you want this part of the story to have by voting on the poll. Either way we still have a story. See yah later! REVIEW :D
