Right let's find out what Cat is going to say to Robbie.

"Robbie that's sweet and all but.." Cat started,trying to think of a way not to hurt his feelings.

"But she's going with me" Beck growled as he stalked over to them, glaring at Robbie with such malice that the poor boy looked like he was going to pee his pants.

Cat felt a flash of anger when she saw how scared her friend was. She turned on Beck.

"What makes you think you can scare Robbie because he asked me to the prom, you never even asked me?!"

He blinked. " I didn't? Well let me fix that." He grabbed her hand, looked her deep in the eyes and said " Cat, would you please go to the prom with me?"

She melted as she looked at his caring and vulnerable eyes.

"Of course" she breathed and kissed him, the whole world seeming to fade away.

Until a yell of "YES!" caught their attention and reminded them they weren't alone.

Their lips reluctantly broke apart and Cat abruptly remembered that Robbie had been there.

"ROBBIE! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to..."

"It's fine this is exactly what we wanted to happen. Kelly would have killed me if it didn't work and I went to the prom with you instead of the date she set up."

"Who did she set you up with?" Cat asked curiously, not that surprised that Kelly had come up with the plan.

"ummmmmmmm... Coming Scicowits!" he said quickly, and ran away.

Cat could feel Becks chuckle as vibrations on her hand. Only then did she realise that they were still locked in an embrace, his hands wrapped around her waist, one of her hands around his neck and one laid on his chest. They broke their embrace as the bell rang and people started to pour from the classrooms.

Cat started in the direction of her next class, and Beck stayed with her.

"What are you doing?" She asked, confused.

"Walking you to class." he replied easily.

And that he did, despite all the looks and whisper it drew. Beck, the badass of the school, walking goody two shoes Cat to class? The school was buzzing, but all Cat cared about was the absence of Beck's hand in hers, and the fact his hard mask was on his face again for all the see. She hadn't realised it would hurt so much.

As she was walking she saw a shocked look on Tori's face. "I'll tell you later." she mouthed.

She looked back at Beck."Can I tell Tori?"she asked, afraid he would say no.

He was going to, but he made the fatal mistake of looking into her puppy dog eyes. He groaned.

"Okay okay just don't tell her the details of my past she's not my friend yet."

"Yet?" she said, eyebrow raised.

He grinned. "Yeah I mean I intend to spend A LOT of time with you, and that will mean time spent with your best friend, I don't want to cause you to spend less time with her."

"That's true but keep your distance until I make it clear to her you're mine, she has a crush on you."

"I'm yours huh?" he said, with a massive grin on his face.

Cat blushed so scarlet she nearly blended in with her hair.

"Don't be embarrassed Kitty, it just means we're even,considering I'm yours, have been ever since I first laid eyes on you." he stated honestly, as they reached her class.

"Naww you're so sweet!" she squealed as she threw her arms around him.

"See you later Cat"he said softly as he squeezed her slightly before stepping back, winking then walking to his class.

The rest of the class, Cat was dancing on cloud nine as she daydreamed about her sweet new boyfriend, completely forgetting that she had to give her best friend an explanation afterwards.
