"We're going to be a family," he whispered in her ear, tears streaming down his face. Olivia could tell they were happy tears, excited tears, tears of joy. Olivia didn't realize there were tears also falling from her own eyes until his thumb caressed her cheek, wiping them away.
"Thank you," he cupped her face and pressed her body against his, his cerulean eyes boring into her cocoa-colored ones as she smiled back softly. He leaned down and kissed her so tenderly that she would've begun crying if she hadn't already been. "This is the greatest gift that anyone could ever give me."
She pulled his face back down towards hers, needing to feel the sensation of his lips more fully. Fitz scooped her up off of her feet as their lips collided in midair until she felt him place her on her feet and he sat on the bed before her.
He held onto her waist and stared up at her in awe, taking in the whole of her features from her serious eyebrows, to her soft doe eyes, to her full, sensual lips. "You are the most beautiful woman in the world," he professed, his hand reaching up to stroke her jaw gently as she met his gaze. He slipped his hands beneath the hem of the Navy shirt she had made her own so many years ago and pulled it up over her head, leaving her nude from the waist up.
"My sweet, sweet baby," he murmured against the flesh of her abdomen, pressing his lips against the skin there in soft butterfly kisses as he cupped her ass.
Olivia slipped her fingers into his longer than usual curls, and he reached up to touch her lips. His thumbs tracing the curve of her intimate smile reserved only for him until her mouth devoured them, licking the pads of his thumbs firmly before pulling them into a vacuum as he pulled her onto his lap to straddle him.
"Hmmmm," Fitz groaned, straining against the his shorts as his thick erection pressed against her middle. Olivia crossed her legs securely around his back and rocked onto him, the friction causing them both to moan. Fitz ran his fingers up her neck until his he reached her hair and let down her bun. He licked his lips as her hair cascaded around her shoulders and let his fingers travel back downwards, creating patterns on her skin.
Olivia gasped as Fitz reached around and began massaging her breasts, applying special attention to her extra sensitive nipples. Loving her reaction, he pulled her closer so his tongue could bite at the brown buds and gained a hoarse moan in response. He blew cool air on each nipple before kissing up her chest, stopping once his lips found her neck.
Sucking purposefully, Fitz watched through hooded eyes as the skin beneath his teeth turned red from his ministrations. Without warning, he flipped them over so that she was now underneath him. Fitz laced his fingers through hers and pinned them above her head as he gazed lovingly into her eyes for a few moments before letting them go, not wanting to restrain her.
"I love you baby," Olivia said as she stroked his chest, guiding his hand down to her soaking underwear and practically begging him to touch her.
Fitz cupped her sex, wanting to feel the heat that emanated from her core only for him. He smirked seductively as she dripped into his palm and his thumb brushed against her clit causing her to tremble.
"Please Fitz," she begged as his digits strummed her with increasing pressure. Obliging her finally, Fitz plunged two fingers into her wetness and watched her continue to lose control under his touch.
"Oh baby," she bit her lip. "I'm gonna come," she moaned, her hands reaching out to touch him. Futz groaned as she gripped his hardness through his shorts and began stroking him in rhythm with his finger as they dove into her. Using his free hand, he unleashed himself so he could feel her hands entirely.
"Open your eyes," Fitz demanded and she complied. The couple stared at each other wordlessly, each stroking the other towards nirvana.
She bucked her hips and Fitz added another finger, knowing she was close. "Come for me Livi," he demanded, "right now." And she did, dripping down all over his wrist. Not giving her a chance to recover from her first orgasm, Fitz sunk his hardness inside of her swiftly, so that his erection now occupying the space his fingers had left vacant.
"Fitz," she cried out in ecstasy as he filled her to the hilt. Her hips began rocking in sync with his, pushing him towards his own climax.
"Oh Livi," he moaned back as he eased himself out and back into her again. It never took him long for her to bring him to his peak and tonight was no different. His fingers crept back down again to stimulate her clit and bring her over the edge with him. Within seconds they were both calling each other's names as their climax overtook them simulataneously.
Fitz let his body cover hers for almost a minute before rolling over from to lay beside her, not wanting to put unnecessary pressure on her body. He pulled her into him and Olivia sighed contentedly. She kissed his jaw as he took her hand in his hands. Soon he felt her playing with his wedding band, turning it round and round on his finger, the physical reminder of how much he belonged to her, in every way, forever.
"Babe?" She mumbled into his chest in just above a whisper.
"Yes honey," he pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.
She pulled back to take in his face and asked, "What do you think we're going to have?"
Fitz smiled shyly at her before answering, "A little girl."
"Really?" Olivia questioned in surprise.
"Yeah...I've always sort of imagined we would have a little girl first." He tucked a stray hair behind her ear, "And she'll have your beautiful brown eyes and nose and lips, but my smile."
Olivia giggled, "You know I've always imagined her with your eyes."
"I'll guess we'll see soon enough, huh?" he winked before leaning down to kiss her and she met his lips willing, clasping her hands around his neck to deepen the kiss. When she threw her leg over his, he pulled back. "Livi?"
"Yeah," she panted back, desire weighing heavily in her tone.
"Do you think it's too late to add a twin in there?"
She pushed herself back off of him with a laugh, "Don't you even think about it, I will kill you."
Fitz laughed, "If they're fraternal maybe we can get a boy and a girl at the same time, but I'm pretty sure that's impossible anyway."
"I've watched enough episodes of Maury to know that stranger things have happened," she chuckled as he nuzzled his face into her neck lovingly and she moulded her body into his. The couple laid that way for a few minutes in comfortable silence before Fitz spoke again.
"Liv, I truly meant everything I said earlier. I don't want you to worry, I'm going to make sure that everything is in place for you to finish this year strong. We're in this together."
She nodded as he kissed her ear. "We're in this together, forever," she murmured happily. "I'm still in a little bit of shock, though. I can't believe we're really having a baby."
"Me either," Fitz smiled.
"I should make an appointment with my doctor...just to be sure about everything, before we tell anyone," Olivia suggested. "Except Harrison, he pretty much already knows. Somehow he knew before I did."
"I wouldn't expect anything less from him," Fitz laughed. It never ceased to amaze him how well Olivia and Harrison knew one another. He could only hope that their future children would have such a beautiful bond. "About our first appointment though, any day but Thursday works for me," Fitz offered.
"You're going to come?"
He peered at her quizzically, "Of course I'm going to come. They're our appointments, Liv, I wouldn't miss them for the world."
"I love you," she beamed just as a yawn crept up on her.
"I love you too." Fitz pulled the blankets up over them and leaned over to shut off the bedside lamp. He could tell that she was tired without her having to say so, and Fitz was pretty beat himself. Olivia snuggled into his side and he rubbed circles into her back. Before he knew it, her breathing had evened outand relaxed in the familiar pattern that told him that she was asleep.
As tired as he felt, though, somehow Fitz still couldn't manage to get sleepy enough to fall into a slumber alongside her. He had so much on his mind, even before the unexpected revelation that they were having a baby, that now his mind was running in overtime.
His sister was supposed to be flying in tomorrow to accompany Alex on his cross-country travels and stay, but just for the weekend. Nevertheless he hadn't heard from her all day, which was growing increasingly worrisome, but due to the distancehe could only play the situation by ear.
Also in the forefront of his mind was the intel that Huck had delivered earlier that evening, within three days, just as he had promised. Fitz was solemnly hoping that his father was wrong, that Mayor Lewis was the man Fitz had always known him to be, but still he couldn't bring himself to look at the documents just yet. Tomorrow, however, he planned to take the dive.
Lastly on his mind was the couple's current living quarters. Originally, he had offered up the idea of movin up as a question, but now it was definitely a necessity. Their condo was barely acceptable to accommodate a four year old, and completely unsuitable for an infant baby, so the house hunt was going to have to begin taking place sooner than either of them had imagined.
What a summer, Fitz thought with a yawn as he found the remote and clicked off the television, and it's not even half way over yet. Fitz could only what the rest would have in store for him. One thing he was sure of was that this time next year, his life would be completely different.
It was a little after ten o'clock a.m. when Fitz pulled the thicket of documents that were supposed to quell his burgeoning suspicions from his briefcase. He hated this. Before his snake of father had planted the ideas in his head, he hadn't felt that anything could be wrong, but now he was questioning himself. Could underhandedness and corruption have been going on all this time right under his nose? Was he really being naïve? He had to know.
Fitz had just moved to open the folder containing what he hoped were all of the answers when his cell rang. The caller ID displayed an unsaved number, but he recognized the California area code and decided to answer anyway, figuring that maybe Beth's cell phone had died on her way to the airport and she had borrowed someone else's.
"Fitzgerald Grant," he answered pleasantly.
"Hello Mr. Grant," an somewhat familiar voice replied back. "I'm sorry to bother you, this is Claudette, you know, Alex's nanny?"
His heart sunk. If Claudette was calling, it was fairly likely that something was wrong. "Oh, hi Claudette. Don't worry about it, you're no bother. Is everything alright?"
"Uhm, not exactly. That's why I'm calling. I'm not sure when you've last spoken to your sister, but I haven't seen her since yesterday at breakfast. She phoned last night saying she would be back first thing in the morning, in time for our flight, but it's after nine here and there's still no sign of her, plus she hasn't called and she's not answering her phone."
Fitz groaned and palmed his face with his hands. "Goodness grief! Why of all days, today? You have got to be kidding me," Fitz ranted.
"I'm not sir," she replied seriously.
"Alex is going to be so upset, I'm sure of that."
"He already is, Mr. Grant. He's been throwing a fit since he first woke up and realized that his mother wasn't here. I warned him that you would be mad at him for misbehaving, that's been working for the most part since your visit, but even that can't reign him in right now. I called Mr. Carrington and he said he's too busy at work to deal with this and gave me your number to let you know the goings on."
Fitz screamed inwardly. He was beyond pissed at his sister, but more than that, he was sad for his nephew. She was beginning to be so much like their father, Fitz wasn't even sure if the Beth he had once known and loved was still inside there anywhere. Fitz knew first hand what it felt like growing up in a household where the children had to pay for the shortcomings of the parents and he hated that for Alex. He as their child was the only one truly paying for Beth and Chris's dysfunctional relationship and Fitz knew he had to figure out a way to get him out of the situation if he could. He hadn't been able to help his older two nephews, but he was going to help this one.
"Claudette, thank you for calling. I'm going to try and get in touch with Beth right now. I think I know where she may be. In the mean time, I'm also going to try and think of something so we can get him out here, today." Fitz wasn't sure what limited options would be available to them at this point, but he knew he had to call Olivia. Together he was sure that they would be able to come up with something viable.
"Sir, if I may, I have a suggestion," Claudette interjected.
"Please, call me Fitz," he insisted. "I'm open to anything at this point, whatever you've got." Fitz added quickly.
"Okay, well I have the tickets in my possession and all of our bags packed and ready to go. The car hasnt been cancelled yet, so we have a way to get to the airport. I'd be more than willing to bring him anyway," Claudette offered.
Fitz sighed, "That sounds great, but that would be a lot to ask of you-"
"Sir, Fitz, to be completely honest with you, it's not too much to ask. The Carringtons gave me the week off since Alex won't be needing me and I had plans to visit family just a few hours north of where you all are, in New Hampshire."
Fitz considered the offer for a moment. The hesitation he had initially felt lessened greatly at hearing that she had plans that would bring her out this way anyway. He had figured that Beth had originally decided to drag the woman along without consulting her, it wasn't beyond her to be that inconsiderate, but this sounded much like much less of an imposition.
"I'm going to call my wife and let her know the change in plans, but we're definitely going to take you up on that offer. I'll pay you for the inconvenience, I know it's not easy traveling with a small child. We'll also make sure that all of your accommodations are taken care of for your travels."
"Thank you, Fitz," the woman replied gratefully.
"I should be thanking you. If you could, put Alex on the phone please? I just want to talk to him quickly and reassure him that he's going to see his Uncle Fitz today."
Harrison hummed and bopped his head in tune to the music blasting from his earphones as he pushed the manual lawn mower across Mr. Sanchez's frontyard in the late afternoon sun. It had been such a long time since he had mown anyone's lawn, usually preferring to opt in favor of paying one of the neighborhood kids to take care of their small yard instead. However today when he had come over to work on the attic project, Harrison had happened upon the older man struggling with task and he had offered to take care of it instead before heading upstairs.
In the beginning Harrison had found that the going was awkward and jerky, but once he got into his groove, he found the light workout to be unexpectedly soothing. Wearing only his undershirt, Harrison enjoyed the breeze and slight burning sensation welling up in his biceps as he pushed the machine in orderly rows down the large green. He was almost halfway finished with the task when he glimpsed someone waving to him out of the corner of his eye.
He took one of the bumping buds out of his ear just in time to hear her speak. "Looks like the tables have turned," Stephanie smiled.
Harrison chuckled, "Now it's you running up on me. What are you up to? Jogging?" He asked even though he was sure she wasn't based on her attire. She was usually outfitted in activewear, but today she was casually dressed in jeans and a blouse. He had texted her awhile ago, when he had first decided to head to Mr. Sanchez's place and gotten no response, so Harrison was extremely surprised to see her here of all places.
"I was actually still in class when you texted me saying that you were going by Joe's. My house is only a couple of blocks away from here, and it happens to be on my way, so I figured I'd just stop by and say hey to you guys. There was something I needed to ask Joe about anyways."
Harrison shrugged with a laugh, "Well I'm not complaining, it's a pleasant surprise."
"I see he's put you to work," she motioned to the lawn mower. "How's it going so far?"
"Oh, it's going", he grinned. "It's been a hot minute since I've done manual labor like mowing and heavy lifting, I might just be sore tomorrow. It's a good thing I'm going to the beach, maybe the saltwater will help."
Stephanie's eyes brightened, "The beach?"
"Yeah, I'm going to Spectacle Island with some friends and family tomorrow. We're supposed to be taking the ferry out in the afternoon," Harrison explained.
"Oh, that sounds like a good time. My family used to go out there all the time during the summer before my dad died," she smiled wistfully.
"Oh, wow, I'm sorry to hear about your father."
"Don't be, he's in a better place."
Harrison nodded knowingly. "Hey, are you busy tomorrow? You're more than welcome to join us," Harrison offered. "Everyone's really cool, you'd like them."
"Aw, thanks for the invitation but I've already committed to a shift at the animal hospital and then big sister duty afterwards. Maybe next time, though."
"Yeah, maybe next time," he conceded. "But I don't know, it seems like you never take a day off!" Harrison teased.
"Every so often," Stephanie chuckled. "But, um, do you work out?" She asked, her gaze lingering on his body a little longer than she likely had meant it to, but he caught it and smiled to himself.
Harrison flexed subtly before answering, "Not as much as I should, but every so often. I used to do a few laps around the track and play pick up basketball at the courts every weekend, but I got a little lazy. I keep telling myself that I'm going to get back to it," he confessed.
"Well what time are you guys leaving out tomorrow? You're more than welcome to come on a run with me in the morning, if you're up for it," Stephanie offered.
Just then the screen door to the house swung open. "Stephanie!" Called Mr. Sanchez from the porch. "What are you doing out here talking to this rascal? Come on in for a second, I made fresh lemonade."
"I'll be right up Joe," Stephanie called back before turning her attention back to Harrison. "Yes, no, maybe so?"
"Most definitely a yes, just let me know what time," he replied confidently.
"Will do. Are you going to come in and have lemonade with us?"
"He didn't exactly invite me to join," Harrison joked. "But no, I'm going to finish this job up," he informed her, preferring to take the less is more approach. He knew he would have to toe the line carefully with Stephanie if he ever wanted a fighting chance at anything past friendship with her.
"Oh okay, I guess I'll see you on my way out then," she smiled, sauntering past him up the path.
Harrison watched her go for a moment before putting his headphones back in place and turning back to the task at hand. Slow and steady wins the race, he thought to himself. And he was definitely committed to winning.
"Babe," Olivia giggled as his lips pressed against her neck, "cut it out. People are beginning to stare." They were lingering in the baggage claim area as they waited for Alex's flight to land and Fitz was seriously struggling with the concept of keeping his hands to himself.
"So what," Fitz smiled into her skin as she blushed. He loved the tinge of red that was infused into her complexion whenever he indulged in public displays of affection.
"So, we're in the middle of the airport!" Olivia reminded him.
He tightened his grip around her waist and chuckled, "Not quite the middle. Baggage claim is actually towards the front of the building."
"Always the smart ass," she beamed up at him. "You know what I meant."
Fitz grabbed her chin and kissed her, and in spite of her protests, she kissed him back passionately. "I may not get to kiss you like this for the rest of the day, let them stare. They're just jealous," he whispered.
Olivia smiled softly and pulled back, pecking his lips quickly before turning away to get a quick glimpse at the informational screen updated by the minute. "Babe, look, they landed," she pointed to the screen displaying the flight information that they had been watching like a hawk for close to half an hour.
"I'll be right back."
"And where do you think you're going?" Fitz inquired, holding her in place.
"Let me run to the powder room quickly, if you would," she teased.
"Nope," he smirked with a kiss, letting her go anyway. "Hurry up back," he urged.
"I will," she smiled over her shoulder at him.
Fitz smiled to himself as he got lost in the sight of her hips swaying as she got lost within the crowds nearby the bathroom area. Deciding to check his e-mail, Fitz scrolled through his work related messages for a few minutes until he felt the sudden pull to look up. That was when we he spotted the familiar fair haired nanny walking towards him with Alex in tow.
He waved with a beaming smile and when his nephew spotted him, he quickly returned it, tugging his hand out of Claudette's grasp to indicate to her that wanted to be let free. Faster than a blur, Alex was brushing past the other passengers who were innocently waiting for their bags as Fitz knelt down and waited for him to run into his open arms.
"Uncle Fizz! "Alex shrieked as Fitz stood up with him gathered in his embrace.
"How's my little guy doing? I missed you so much," Fitz kissed his nephew's forehead and squeezed him.
"I missed you toooooo," Alex squeaked, clinging to Fitz's body. "Hey," he looked up sharply, suddenly noticing that something was amiss, "where's Aunt Livi?"
"Oh, she just-"
"Is that Alexander the Great himself or am I seeing things?" Olivia called out from just over his shoulder and Fitz turned around to place the squealing boy in her arms. Alex clasped her face and kissed her excitedly, "Aunt Livi!"
"Hello Claudette", Fitz greeted the nanny warmly as she finally caught up with the reuniting family. "Thanks again for flying with Alex, you're a lifesaver," he added handing her an envelope. "This is for the inconvenience."
"It was no inconvenience, really," Claudette insisted.
Fitz ignored her protests, "I'll have it no other way."
"Hello Mrs. Grant," the woman greeted Olivia almost awkwardly and she only waved in response, preferring to shower her attention onto the little boy who so needed it.
Just then Fitz's phone began to ring and he almost rolled his eyes when his brain registered the name on the Caller ID. He sighed and walked off a little distance off from where they were standing so that Alex wouldn't hear his call and get upset.
"Where the hell have you been, Beth?" Fitz demanded angrily.
"I know, I know, I messed up, but before you go off on me, I'm sorry."
"Messed up is the understatement of the goddamned century! I'm so furious with you right now, I literally have nothing to say to you, Elizabeth. How can you deign to call yourself a mother? If it weren't for Alex I wouldn't even have anything to do with you after this," Fitz spat.
"You don't mean that," Beth countered calmly, clearly unmoved by his rage.
"Yes the hell I do," Fitz hissed.
"You don't know what its like being trapped in that house, with him. I'm leaving him, Fitz. I'm getting a divorce and Leni is going to help me. I'm really trying to get myself together."
"Well good luck with that," Fitz replied, not taking the bait.
The line was awkwardly silent for a few moments."Have they landed yet? Can I speak to him?"
"Hold on," Fitz muted the phone before walking over back towards his nephew. "Al, hey, your mom is on the phone and she wants to talk to you."
He scrunched up his nose and tightened his arms around Olivia. "I don't want to talk to her," he declared.
"Alex," Fitz started to try to persuade him.
"NO! She's a stupid liar and I hate her!" Alex screamed, causing some nearby airport goers to turn and stare.
"Al, I know you're upset because she disappointed you today, but she's still your mom and you still have to respect her. Just talk to her for a moment, she just wants to hear your voice and make sure you're safe," Fitz tried to reason with the little boy.
"No," Alex growled. If nothing else, the kid was strong willed.
Fitz sighed and took the phone off of mute. "Beth, why don't you let us give you a try a little later, like before bed, okay? He's still a little on edge from this morning, he's not quite up for talking right now."
"Don't be silly, just put me on speakerphone," Beth insisted.
"Fine," Fitz rolled his eyes as he hit the button and her voice came flooding through the speaker.
"Alex? It's mommy," she spoke pleasantly.
He stuck his fingers in his ears and buried his face in Olivia's chest and sang, "La, la, la, la, la, I can't hearrrr you."
Fitz took his sister off of the speakerphone, "Look, this isn't working. I'll call you later to check in, after dinner or something. He's here and he's fine." Fitz hung up and turned back to his family, "Let's get you guys out of here, I'm sure you two are hungry and I'm sure you're wanting dinner time."
"Actually, Mr. and Mrs. Grant," Claudette addressed them formally, "I ate on the plane and I'm really tired. Would you mind dropping me off at the hotel?"
"Sure," Fitz replied.
"Wait, wait, Uncle Fizz, Aunt Livi, I have to show you guys something!"
"It can't wait until we get in the car?" Olivia asked.
"Nooo," he insisted. "Where's my pencil and paper?" Alex asked turning to Claudette.
She smiled, fishing it out of the carry on to hand it to him. Alex took it over the nearest table in the waiting area and held the pencil awkwardly in his fist as he began to write. After thirty seconds, he picked it up with his chest puffed out, "Look what I can do!"
"Oh my god, this amazing," Olivia exclaimed as proudly as if he had created a masterpiece. He had written 'Alexander' in a jumble of upper and lower case letters, but aside from his backwards 'e's, it looked good for a four year old.
"I've been practicing," Alex beamed.
"Just for that, you get to pick where we eat," Fitz smiled.
"Chicken fingers!" Alex declared. "I want chicken fingers."
"Then chicken fingers you shall have," Olivia replied, leading the way.
Harrison was in his closet on his knees searching for his favorite pair of running sneakers when the door bell rang urgently. He was already clad in a pair of black running shorts and a white t-shirt, all he needed now was his old Nikes. When the bell rang again, Harrison looked at his watch. He and Stephanie were supposed to be meeting in the next fifteen minutes to run and hang out for no longer than an hour or so, seeing as how she had to be at the hospital at eleven-thirty.
He wasn't planning to meet up with Fitz and Olivia until the afternoon because they were taking Alex to the aquarium this morning. The little boy had come in the night prior and the doting aunt and uncle figured it would be best to wait until he was well rested and settled in to meet the gang. Around one o'clock, Harrison, Huck, and Quinn would meet them at the dock and they would take the ride over together to the location where they planned to have a day of fun in the sun at the beach. But first Harrison had a "run" with destiny this morning.
"I guess she couldn't wait to see me," he laughed to himself taking off towards the door, figuring that Stephanie must have reached their meetup spot on the corner early and decided to come knock on his door. Harrison was so taken with the prospect of seeing his crush so soon that he opened the door without looking through the peephole, something he almost never neglected to do, but as soon as he did, he regretted it immediately.
"Long time no see, Harry," she grinned wickedly at him.
"Abra. Why are you here?" Harrison demanded, disgust dripping in his tone.
"What? Not happy to see me?" She asked with a curtsy, showing off the lithe legs that were only barely covered by the fabric of her skirt.
Harrison rolled his eyes in irritation. She looked good but "happy" would be the last words he would use to describe how he felt about her showing up. "You know damn well that you're the very last person I want to see, so what is it that you want? Huh? Tell me what you're doing here when the last time I saw you, you acted like I was scum under your shoes?!"
She crossed her arms and batted her pretty eyelashes, "Can we talk civilly, please?"
"About what?"
She shook her head in disbelief and tried to brush past him into the house, but Harrison stiff armed her, closing the door behind him and stepping out onto the porch instead. "I've learned my lesson about letting you into my home. You're not welcome here, Abra. Anything you want to say to me can be said right here on my door step."
She huffed and raised her eyebrows at him, "Wow, really?" When he didn't budge she sucked her teeth, "I want to know what's going on with your case."
"When did that become any of your business?" Harrison spat back unflinchingly. How dare she just stroll up to my house, unannounced at that, and demand answers about my personal business after how she played me! The nerve of this chick!
"I don't know, how about when all of sudden you went from my co-defendant to the District Attorney not pressing charges against you at all! Why the hell am I going to trial and you're not? You and I are equally as guilty! What the hell did you say?"
"I didn't say anything, so I don't know what you're trying to imply," Harrison replied matter of factly. The last thing he was going to tell her was that Fitz had called in a favor to get him off the hook. "Maybe you should get yourself a better lawyer, I don't know, but I'm not at liberty to discuss my case with you. Besides, what would I even be able to tell the cops anyway? Lest we forget, those were your friends in that car, not mine. I didn't deserve to be arrested in the first place!"
"And I did?" Abra cried incredulously.
"If I recall correctly, your words were 'don't worry about it!' You knew exactly what was going on and didn't care. You guys probably do that all the time, it's only a matter time before you get caught. But wait a minute, are you seriously pissed because I'm not getting dragged down in this mess with you? Really? You're sick."
"Come on, you know me better than that, Harrison, I don't wish ill on anyone. However I just can't help but find it strange that my two friends and I are being offered shitty deals just to plead guilty when you're walking away scot free! I bet your bitch cousin and her politician husband had something to do with this!"
"Watch your mouth about my family Abra, I'm only going to warn you once," Harrison scolded her. She was playing with fire and she didn't want to get burned.
"Watch my mouth or what?" She stepped closer to him, invading his space. Harrison tried to step back but the door had him boxed in and Abra knew just how to take advantage of that.
Pressing her body against his, Abra placed one hand on his face and licked her lips before purring in his ear, "I've missed you Harrison." Using the tip of her finger, she traced the line of his earlobe down his neck and arm and he shivered visibly under her touch.
"Get off of me," Harrison growled, but didn't move. The feeling of her soft body against his and her familiar sweet scent filling his nostrils was almost overwhelming.
"You haven't missed me?" She asked, rubbing her hand down the front of his running shorts and he could almost kick himself when he felt his lower half reacting to her touch. Within seconds he was stiff in her hand and she was stroking him skillfully through the fabric.
Abra kissed the side of his neck and his hips bucked towards her involuntarily. "I guess I have my answer," she chuckled seductively and he moaned.
"Abra, stop this," Harrison grunted unconvincingly, his breathing labored and heavy.
"Make me," she kissed his chin and hovered over his lips, her fingers slipping under the hem of his shorts to touch him flesh to flesh. "Admit it, you dont want me to stop. Quit fighting what we both know you want and just invite me inside. Remember how good I used to make you feel, Harry?"
Harrison closed his eyes for a moment and leaned his head back against the door. It felt like it had been forever since he had last been touched intimately, and as much as he hated her right now, her fingers felt amazing. She tickled his balls lightly before gripping him fully against and brushing her lips against his neck. Harrison was so lost in the moment that he almost forgot that they were in front of his house until a car screeched by on the street loudly, breaking him out of his haze. Harrison grabbed her hands, stopping her forcefully by pushing her back.
"Get the hell off of my property and don't come back," he snarled.
She smirked, "I know you want me, Harrison. Your mouth says one thing, but your body betrays your true feelings."
"Just because I can't control my erections around you, does not mean I want you! This was a mistake. Now beat it before I call the police and have you forcibly removed."
"See you later, Harry," she winked before walking off.
"No, not later, don't you get it? I never want to see you again!"
"Now we both know that isn't true. Later Harrison," she called over her shoulder with a cackle in her voice.
"Crazy bitch!" Harrison shrieked as he flew into the house and down the hall towards Huck's room. Enraged by the encounter that had gone down only moments ago, Harrison banged on the door like his life depended on it.
"Huck, are you decent?" He screamed through the door.
"Yeah, yeah, come in," Huck yelled back.
He opened the door, "I'm sorry guys, but it's an emergency. I need something handled."
"Something like what?" Quinn asked inquisitively.
"Fucking Abra! Yo, this chick is nuts! She just showed up here unannounced!"
"What else is new?" Huck asked in an unaffected tone.
"She was asking questions about my case, that's what's new!"
"You guys were arrested together, you didn't think she would? If the tables were turned, wouldn't you?"
"Yeah, but, but she showed up here unannounced demanding answers and she put her hands on me!"
"She hit you?!" Quinn cried out, poised to jump up out of the bed as if she was ready to hunt Abra down at this very instant.
"No...no, she kind of, um, gave me a hand job. But I didn't want it!" Harrison added quickly.
Huck and Quinn made eye contact for a moment before both bursting out in hysterical laughter. "You've got to be fucking kidding me. So you want me to handle your lunatic ex-sex buddy because she didn't call before coming over, which she has never done, by the way, asked logical questionsl and touched your dick? Is that what you're telling me, Harrison?"
"Well when you make it sound like that..."
"That's not how I'm making it sound, that's exactly how it is. You should have nipped the Abra problem in the bud from the very beginning like Olivia and I told you to do, but no, you just had to have her. A hard head makes for a soft ass, is how the saying goes, no pun intended," Huck chuckled.
"That's fucked up," Harrison shook his head.
"No, it's not. The way I see it, this is a very simple and personal problem. You want to be a fixer, right? Well, fix it."
"Fine, I will," Harrison declared.
"Then do it," Huck egged him on.
Harrison sighed, "We're leaving at one, right?"
"Yup," Huck smiled. "You still going on your run with Stephanie?"
"Shit," Harrison looked at his watch. "I have to get going, I'll see you guys later!"
A/N: Hope you guys enjoyed reading on this non-Scandal Thursday! Two months until hiatus is over is kind of crazy! Do you think Huck was wrong for not handling Abra for Harrison, or is he right? Should Fitz have made Alex talk to his mom? Let me know what you think!
