Arcane: Hey. It's been a while since I've written anything. Sorry, I've been busy with a lot of things. But I've finally decided to finish off, the story "I'm Only Human." This is the Epilogue so bye guys. Thanks to whoever stayed with me this long and read my story lol. Hope you enjoyed. Anyways, I don't own Fairy Tail or any of its characters. All rights go to Hiro Mashima.
Epilogue: My Life
"You can always give it time Lucy-Chan. Over time if you stay with him, he'll probably want to change you. He probably told you that he would spend all his time with you while you were alive right?" Junichi-San asked.
"Yeah..." I answered.
"I'm almost positive he won't keep that opinion. If he loves you enough, he will change you." Junichi-San smiled gently.
I smiled. Junichi-San was right. I shouldn't be rushing these things. I could wait a few years and see if this would work out.
…...
"Hey Mom, Dad's home!" A young man yelled into the house excitedly.
"Daddy!" A little girl cried happily.
The young girl ran into the gentle, yet strong embrace of her father. She had long blonde hair, and brown eyes, with flecks of green and gold. Her eyes shone with a fire that burned deep inside her. Just like her father.
"There's my little girl! You've grown so much! How old are you now? Nine? Ten?" He laughed as he embraced the young girl.
"Daddy, I'm only seven years old!" She pouted.
"Oh... I could have sworn you were seven when I left..." He mumbled to himself.
"Natsu, you're back!" I smiled.
I walked out the house and towards the porch while holding the hand of my eldest son and welcomed Natsu home. I was getting much too old for this. Natsu smiled brightly at me, and kissed my cheek gently, like he was afraid to hurt me. My son, who had dark blonde hair, and mysterious green eyes, God knows where he got those from, stared intently at Natsu.
"What's wrong Akatsuki?" Natsu grinned.
Through all these years, Natsu still looked the same. The same young face, which I couldn't really keep. I knew deep down, I would be gone someday. Gone from the life I once knew. But I put a brave face on. For Akatsuki. For Nashi. My beloved children. Nashi was just seven years old. Akatsuki, the handsome little boy, was thirteen. Akatsuki was half human, and half Daemon. But he was a gentle young boy and wouldn't hurt anyone. He was so shy around new people and usually only played with Nashi, and me. Natsu was usually getting a job at the guild, and sometimes it would take a few years for him to get back. I knew that Akatsuki and Nashi always missed him when he went away. Especially Akatsuki. He loved his father very much. Nashi however, was different. She was born a full Daemon which was rare. She had never attacked anyone though.
When I gave birth to Akatsuki, I was human. A fragile being who's life, was fleeting and insignificant to a Daemon. That was when Natsu decided he couldn't bear to lose me. So he turned me into a Daemon. But I couldn't remember much about the process. I just remembered feeling a burning sensation washing through my veins. It hurt so much. But when I woke up, I was fine. And I felt... amazing.
"..u..cy... Lu..cy.. LUCY!" I heard someone yell.
I jumped at the sound. I'd gotten lost in my thoughts again. Natsu looked at me strangely and I blushed, embarrassed.
"I-I'll go and make dinner.." I murmured.
"..I'll help mom." Akatsuki said.
He followed me in. As soon as we got in, I hugged him. He hugged me, but questioningly.
"Mom? What's wrong?" Akatsuki frowned.
"Nothing Akatsuki! I was just feeling nostalgic. And I missed when you were still a little seven year old who still needed his mother to sing him a lullaby, and hold his hand." I chuckled.
He blushed. "M-Mom!"
I laughed. "Alright Akatsuki, let's get started on dinner. What should we make tonight?"
"Hmm... I wanna eat steak." He grinned.
In many ways he was like his father. Then I heard Natsu yelling "Eat my dust little girl!"
Okay... so maybe not. But he always protected Nashi, and did what was right. As Akatsuki and I prepared dinner, Natsu and Nashi played outside in the grass and wrestled. Then a loud screeching sounded. Nashi started to get excited. This time, some of the utensils started to float around. When she got excited, she couldn't control her powers very much. (Not that she could really control them anyways.)
I smiled at Akatsuki and pulled him out from the kitchen. The steaks had to grill anyways. I led him outside and there stood Junichi, and Aiko. They grinned at me and I waved. I ruffled Akatsuki's hair, and kissed his forehead before pushing him gently toward them. He smiled and walked over to Junichi and Aiko. Nashi however had already flown over to them and started clinging to Junichi like she always did.
But even though I was only a human, someone who in some eyes, didn't deserve such a life, I was happy. My children are happy. I was going to live forever with Natsu, Akatsuki and Nashi. That was enough for me. I'm not only a human anymore. Thank you Natsu. Final Note? I love you forever.
Arcane: Okay, I was a bit lazy in the ending! Sorry, but I love Akatsuki and Nashi! I think adding them was a good idea! What do you guys think? Review, favorite and follow please! Thanks for reading, and I'll maybe start up another story!
