(Hello fans of Tekken! I know it's been a while since I uploaded, so I'll try to keep this intro short and get right down to the good stuff. Chapter eleven is gonna be a big one, no doubt about it. TWO, count 'em, TWO new characters are being introduced here, both of which are classic Tekken characters. I'm going to tell you who the first one is as you read, but the second one will remain somewhat mysterious. If you read closely and pick up on a few hints that I drop, you'll be able to figure out the identity of this Tekken powerhouse for sure. Anyway, thanks for reading, and please review to let me know what you think of the story so far! I have big plans for this story, but honestly these plans are so complicated that my head is spinning with all the crazy ideas I have :) Stay tuned for the next few chapters, and thanks again for choosing to read my story!)
Kara- Hahaha don't worry I wasn't trying to make fun of you or anything like that. Honestly I love the saying "It's gonna be hot". I don't know why, but I really just find that amusing. There is absolutely no need to apologize, because I am not mad or trying to insult you either. I find it interesting that you agreed partially with Kazuya's reasoning also. Most stories make Kazuya just a faceless hate-monster, but I tried really hard to make his hate more understandable here as I wrote, so hearing that someone out there actually agreed with what Kazuya said is a big compliment in itself. Thanks again for reading!
Anoonimos- Thank you for reviewing! Again, it's great to see that someone else out there can partially understand Kazuya's feelings. The biggest obstacle for me in writing this story is to make Kazuya a relatable human being, instead of the monster that Namco tries to make him. Also, this chapter is going to be a tad bit longer than the last one, so I hope you enjoy it :). Thanks for being such a devoted fan!
Desiderio- Damn, I really appreciate it when reviewers are as in-depth as you. First I just want to say that you absolutely should continue your own story, and just knowing that I inspired you to do that is something that I'm extremely happy about. After reading your review, I went and checked out your stories a bit, and I absolutely think that you should pick them up again. You've got some real talent yourself and just from reading a few chapters of your story I can tell that we agree on many of the same points. Additionally, I don't mean to give anything away, but I'm just going to say that you've got some mighty fine predictions about my story ;). Thank you so much for reading and reviewing as well!
The Return
Chapter Eleven
The doors burst open.
Jane looked up from her desk at the doors that had been flung to each side. Putting down the pen she had previously been holding, Jane reached up and lowered her glasses so that she could see over the top of them. Part of her expected it to be Kazuya standing in the doorway, and another part of her expected it to be Lee standing there. Of course, both of these men had reasons to burst into her office on the 112th floor of the Mishima Zaibatsu, but to her surprise, the new arrival was neither Kazuya nor Lee.
It was a woman.
"Umm…" Said Jane slowly. "Can I help you?"
The woman looked at Jane for a moment, then tilted her head to the side and smiled deviously. She used her hand to slide some of her short brown hair to the side of her face. The woman shifted her weight to one hip, and rested her free hand on that hip as well.
"Oh yes, dear." Said the woman. "You can definitely help me. I need to speak to the man in charge."
"The man in charge?" Asked Jane in confusion. She raised an eyebrow at the strange woman, who stared back at her oddly. "You mean Mr. Mishima?"
The brown-haired woman rolled her eyes. "Mr. Mishima? Which one? Did the Zaibatsu get taken over by someone again? I mean, every time I blink it's like there's a new Mishima in charge. Heihachi one day, Kazuya the next, Jin the day after that, and so on and so on and so on until the end of time…"
Jane was taken aback by the woman's strange behavior. Most visitors to the Zaibatsu were never this conversational or casual about the Mishima family. "Kazuya Mishima currently resides as CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu." She said firmly.
The woman looked pleased to hear this. "Oh good. He was in charge when I left…" As she said it, she took her hand off her hip and started strolling nonchalantly into the office.
"When you left for what?" Asked Jane in confusion. Nothing the woman said was making any sense.
"When I left to go hunting, of course!" Replied the woman as if it was a commonly known fact what she had been doing.
Jane took off her glasses entirely and leaned forward in her chair, determined to make some sense out of the strange situation. "Okay umm…. who exactly are you?"
The woman looked shocked. "You don't know who I am?" She asked as she covered her mouth with one hand in mock surprise. After holding her hand over her mouth for one second, the strange woman lowered her hand back to her hip and gave Jane another devious smile. "Come on, darling. You have to remember me."
Jane squinted and looked at the woman. Something about her bright red dress stuck out in Jane's mind, almost as if she had seen it before. The dress was long and curved around the woman's body, with flowing fabric around her legs. She wore two red arm warmers as well, which carried elaborate oriental designs on them, just like the dress.
"Wait a minute…" Said Jane slowly, who was starting to realize who the woman was. "That dress…"
The woman smiled widely. "Honey! You do remember me!" She said in delight.
Jane had a much more concerned look on her face. "But, why are you here?" She asked. "Kazuya sent you out to capture-"
"Yes!" Exclaimed the woman, cutting off Jane before she could finish her sentence. "Believe it or not, I'm back because I accomplished my mission."
Jane looked at the woman in confusion, then suddenly realized what she meant. Jane's eyes opened wide as the truth began to become clear to her.
"You did what? But… where is-" Stuttered Jane in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.
"Right here!" She exclaimed, cutting of Jane again. At this, the woman put on a devious smirk and clapped her hands twice.
Again, the door burst open and two men walked in. The men were huge, with bulging muscles and extensive body armor covering their bodies. They walked next to each other, with a large space in between, due to the fact that they were dragging something along the ground behind them.
They were dragging the unconscious body of a man, dressed in recognizable red and black armor.
The two walked to the center of the room, then laid the unconscious man down, who was also tied hand and foot with large metal chains. After letting go of the man, the two armored men turned to face the woman in the red dress.
She smiled at them, then pointed to the door. "Thank you, gentlemen. Your payment will arrive within the week." She said endearingly.
The men nodded, then sauntered out the door, taking their hulking forms with them. Now it was just Jane, the strange woman in red, and the unconscious man in the room.
Jane stared straight at the woman in red, then slowly leaned forward to look over the desk. When she saw who the man was, her mouth fell open in shock.
"That's…"
"Indeed it is." Confirmed the woman , who stepped slowly towards Jane. When she arrived at the desk. The woman put both her elbows on the counter and leaned in to get closer to Jane.
Looking her straight in the eyes, Jane was frozen by shock. She didn't know what to do.
Luckily, the woman knew what to say. "Pick up the phone and call Kazuya." She commanded. "Tell him that Anna Williams has returned, and that she has brought a present for him."

There truly was nothing in the world like it.
If Kazuya remembered one thing about his intimate romantic relationship with Jun Kazama all those years ago, it was her lips. Soft, like two cushions, they pressed and pushed up against Kazuya's. Smooth, like light satin, they slid over Kazuya's. Natural, like a brisk forest breeze, they surprised Kazuya's. Soft, smooth, natural. These three words were what Kazuya remembered most about her lips, and now, nearly thirty years later, it was the first thing he noticed again.
She enveloped him, tightly wrapping her arms around his neck. As if she wanted to get as close as humanly possible to him, Jun pulled closer and closer with her arms. Kazuya's arms hung at his sides, palms wide open in shock, but not touching Jun at all. Her eyes were closed, showing how fully focused she was on the kiss. Kazuya, on the other hand, had his eyes wide open in shock. Of the hundred different scenarios he had imagined happening, being kissed by Jun was not a possibility. Clearly, however, he was wrong.
Part of him was infuriated, as he always felt whenever his personal space was violated. Another part of him felt surprised, taken aback and frozen in a rare moment of uncertainty. Uncertainty was usually not an emotion that Kazuya experienced. And finally, a small part of him liked it. The familiarity of Jun's lips, the old feelings of contact and intimacy, almost seemed appealing to him. Of course, Kazuya's powerful and angry nature refused to admit it, but deep down, he enjoyed the kiss.
After that brief moment of clarity and bliss, Kazuya's darker side regained control.
"MFFT?!" He stammered out in surprise.
Kazuya's entire body froze up as he realized that what was happening. He was kissing Jun. The woman he once loved, returned after nearly thirty years, who has been back for only a week, and whom he had only seen twice, was now fully enveloping him in a kiss. He couldn't believe it was happening.
Instinctively, he tried to pull away from Jun. Their lips broke contact, and Jun stepped backwards quickly. Kazuya stumbled several steps backward as well. Slowly releasing him from her grip, Jun let go of Kazuya's neck and pulled her hands back.
"Wha-what the hell?!" Stammered Kazuya.
Jun's eyes opened wide as she looked from Kazuya to her own hands and then back again. "I- I…"
"Jun!" Yelled Kazuya. "What the hell was that?!"
"Kazuya I-"
"No!" Said Kazuya, cutting her off. He looked around the room quickly, as if in a daze, then tried to wipe his lips with his sleeve.
Jun saw this and took a step forward. "Kazuya wait, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you like that."
"Well you did!" Shot back Kazuya.
"I just… I've never seen you talk like that before! I had no idea you felt like that about me…" Said Jun honestly.
Kazuya tried to think of something angry to say, but failed to come up with anything, partly because he was still reeling from the kiss.
Jun took advantage of Kazuya's silence and spoke again. "You said I was the most graceful woman on earth… did you really mean that?" She asked slowly.
"No!" Yelled Kazuya quickly. "I mean yes… no! I just…. I do think that, but I just don't think that you're… I mean, you are! No! It's not like that… I mean… I just can't…"
"Just can't what?" Asked Jun. "Tell me how you feel? Kazuya, you can do that better than anyone I know. Just look at how you were talking a minute ago. I've never seen anyone become so passionate about something!"
"I was not passionate!" Yelled Kazuya, who was feeling more and more uncomfortable as the conversation went on. Then, as if he remembered what had just happened mere moments ago, he looked at Jun and asked her the biggest question on his mind. "Hold up! You actually just kissed me! Why the hell did you do that?! What were you thinking!?"
"I don't know!" She cried as her expression turned to minor sadness. "You were saying all those things about me, and what I did… Kazuya, I honestly never knew that you felt that way about me! I always thought you just saw me as an annoying voice in the back of your head. I never knew you thought I was selfless…"
"Well you are!" Yelled Kazuya, trying to make the statement sound angrier than it was. "You endured years' worth of misery because of MY stupid decisions! You didn't have to raise that boy! Nobody was making you do anything!"
"What do you mean I didn't have to?" She asked defensively. "Jin was my own son! I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I left him to die!"
"You knew who his father was. You knew about the devil inside of him. You knew that people would come looking for him. He was a risk!"
"He was not a risk! He was a child!"
"He caused you to die." Kazuya said bluntly, still furious, even twenty years later, about Jin's failure to protect Jun.
"Kazuya you cannot put so much responsibility on him! He was just a boy at the time!" Argued Jun.
"He was a Mishima! Age means nothing to us!" He shot back
"Kazuya stop it! You're sounding like your father again!"
"What are you talking about?"
"When Heihachi threw you down that cliff all those years ago, didn't he say the same thing? That you were a Mishima, and despite your age, would be able to survive."
Kazuya was silent. Jun was right.
"Well," She continued. "You're putting Jin in the same position! Just because he was a Mishima doesn't mean that he was automatically able to defeat a monster twice his size! For God's sake, the thing was shooting fire! How do you expect a mere boy to handle that?"
"He was fifteen. Not eight, like I was."
"It doesn't matter! You can't turn people into good fighters just by putting them under pressure! Or anything for that matter! No one can force greatness unto another human being like that!"
"Yes. It can be done can. My father did it to me."
Jun was shocked. "Are you actually saying that you agree with what your father did to you?" She asked in fear.
"No." Replied Kazuya. "Throwing an eight year old down a canyon is pure evil. Even I know that."
Jun was almost relieved to hear that. Relieved, until she heard what Kazuya said next.
"It was evil, but it worked…"
"It worked?! What are you talking about?" Stammered Jun.
"Heihachi threw me down there in an attempt to make me stronger. He recognized that I was a frivolous and weak boy, so he did what he had to do."
"Kazuya don't say that…" Said Jun, who was on the verge of tears.
Ignoring her, Kazuya continued. "I almost died. Rarely in my life have I ever felt such pain and rage. But I ended up surviving, and I ended up climbing back to the top. I became a man. I won."
Jun said nothing. She had never expected Kazuya to sympathize with his father.
Kazuya stared at the floor as he remembered that painful day, then back up at Jun as he argued his point to her. "You need to understand. What Heihachi did was wrong. He was and still is a twisted, evil man. But his methods produced results. If he hadn't thrown me off that cliff so many years ago, I wouldn't be half as powerful as I am today."
"But at what cost?" Asked Jun quietly.
"What do you mean."
"Something happened on that day. Something bad."
"We are NOT talking about Devil right now. I refuse." Said Kazuya defiantly as he crossed his arms.
"I wasn't referring to Devil." Said Jun darkly. "I was talking about you."

…
…
Slowly… the effects of the tranquilizer began to wear off.
Hnnn…. Ugh… wh-where am I?
His entire world was black, but slowly the light began to return. At first he welcomed it, but before long the excess of light began to hurt his eyes.
Gah…. The light is too harsh… He thought as he squeezed his eyes shut, trying to avoid the incoming light.
Now that his vision was slowly returning to him, it appeared that his hearing would be the next thing to return. First, he heard a low humming noise, like an air conditioner or engine of some sort off in the distance. The humming grew louder, until it too started to hurt his ears.
What the hell is this place…?
After a few seconds of pain, his ears adjusted to the humming noise and his eyes to the light. He tried to move around and open his eyes, but found that his body was still incredibly numb. No matter how hard he tread to move, none of his limbs or head moved an inch.
Then, he heard voices.
"…for about ten hours a day. No breaks." Said a male voice. It sounded unusually distant.
"Hahaha… that sucks." Replied a female voice. This one was more casual than the male's voice. It too sounded distant.
"Yeah, it isn't easy, that's for sure…" continued the man. "But there are a few perks."
"Like what?" Asked the girl.
"Well the uniform totally gets babes… As you're obviously aware." Said the man slyly.
The female voice let out a sharp, sarcastic laugh. "As I'm already aware? Hahaha, please. First of all you're DEFINITELY not my type. And secondly, you look like a total dork."
The man could be heard laughing loudly.
Wh-who are these people? Thought the man who was just waking up. At the time, he had no idea that there was horse tranquilizer flowing through his veins. And now, as it started to wear off, his senses began to return.
He tried to move his head to the side, and was surprised by the fact that he actually had the strength to control it. Slowly, he rolled it sideways, until it rested on his opposite shoulder.
Suddenly, as if they had noticed him move his head, the two voices stopped talking. There was a moment of silence, then suddenly the man spoke.
"Did you see that?" Asked the man.
"See what?" Asked the girl.
"Your friend. I could have sworn he just moved his head."
"He did?"
"Yeah, at least I'm pretty sure he did…"
The unconscious man suddenly realized that the two people were referring to him. Despite being extremely tired and groggy, he understood that he was in some sort of trouble, and desperately needed help. Thus he decided to try and contact the two people.
However, when he tried to move his head again, he found that he was too weak to do so.
"It's probably nothing. The old guy's been shuffling in his sleep all the time in the past few days. It's no big deal." Reassured the girl.
Last few days...? I've been asleep for days…? How many days?
The man's headache was intense. Every part of his body was numb, as if he had been hit repeatedly by a baseball bat. Additionally, his stomach was aching extremely painfully.
"Hey," Asked the male voice. "You remembered to feed him, right?"
The room was quiet, and then the female voice spoke.
"Aw shit." She said.
They forgot to feed me? How long have I been out…? Thought the man tied to the chair.
The male voice sounded very disappointed. "You realize that going one day without food can cause extreme pain. Forget about three days…"
Three Days?
"Hahaha, whatever." Said the girl nonchalantly.
"He might be dead." Said the male voice seriously.
"So what?" Shot back the female voice. "It's not like I enjoy that old geezer's company anyway."
"You might not care…" Said the male voice. "But Kazuya will."
K-Kazuya…?
"Oh shit. Kazuya's gonna kill me if the old man dies." Said the female voice nervously.
"Yeah…" Said the male voice. "Not so chill now, are we?" He laughed.
Kazuya… as in Kazuya Mishima? Why are they talking about him?
"Shut up." Said the female voice. Somewhere, the sound of someone standing up from a chair could be heard. It was the female voice. Light footsteps sounded off as the woman crossed the room, then stopped when they arrived next to the man tied to the chair.
His eyes were still closed and refusing to open, but the man could tell that the woman was standing close to him. He felt scared, mostly because he was unable to move his body or defend himself in any way.
The girl leaned in, and placed her hands on the man's face, one on his forehead and one on his left eyelid. Then, the girl slowly opened the man's eyelid, revealing his eye beneath.
A huge tsunami of light rushed into the man's eyes. It hurt at first, but quickly he was able to adjust. After flittering his eyeball around in different directions, he was able to settle. Soon, the shape of the girl's face came into focus.
The first thing he noticed was her eyes; a deep blue, surrounded by dark black. The girl had to be about twenty years old, or close to it.
And surrounding those two blue eyes, was a large white mask, shaped like a fox's head.
"Oh my." Said the girl with the fox mask as she looked into the man's now-opened eyes.
"What is it?" Asked the male voice from somewhere across the room.
"He's not dead." Said the girl.
"Well that's good." Said the male voice.
"But he's also awake." Continued the girl.
Across the room, someone stood up from their chair. Loud footsteps could be heard crossing the room, and then the male voice appeared in front of the man who was just waking up in the chair. Immediately the second person came into view. He looked down into the man's eyes, and rubbed his chin slowly.
Finally, the man sitting down gathered enough strength to speak. "Who… are…you…?" He asked feebly.
The girl with the fox mask smiled at him. "Oh look, he can talk now. The tranquilizer must be wearing off."
"Tranquilizer…?" Asked the man slowly.
"That's right, old timer." Confirmed the man standing over him. This man was dressed in a black army uniform. "You've been unconscious for quite a long time."
"Where… am… I…?" continued the man, confused and scared of the two people hovering over him.
The girl with the fox mask opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off by the man in the army uniform. "That's classified." He said darkly.
The man tied to the chair blinked his eyes, trying to get them adjusted to the light. The girl with the fox mask removed her hands from his face when he did this.
"Who… am… I…?" He asked finally.
The girl with the fox mask turned to face the man in the army uniform, and looked at him with a questioning look on her face. The man in the army uniform slowly nodded his head. Immediately, the girl with the fox mask turned back to face her captive.
"Your name is Asukon Kazama. You're our special guest." She said in a tone so cheery that it sounded creepy.
"Why…am I here…?" Asked Asukon, who was the man tied to the chair.
"We need you to need to answer a few questions." Said the man in the army uniform.
"Like…what…?" Asked Asukon.
"WE'RE not the ones that want to ask you the questions. We simply work for the man who does."
"Who…is…that….man…?"
"His name is Kazuya Mishima. I believe he is an old acquaintance of yours."
"What does the CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu…want with me…?"
"Mr. Mishima wants you to reveal some information to him that you've been hiding."
"Hiding…? I'm not hiding anything! I… I have no idea what you're talking about…"
This time the girl with the fox mask was the one who cut off the man standing next to her.
"Hahaha," She laughed. "You better be hiding something, old man. Kazuya's gonna be awfully upset if you try to tell him you don't know anything."
"But… I'm seriously not hiding anything!"
"He's gonna make you talk. Whether you've got something to say or not…" joked the fox girl as she turned around and started walking towards the door. "Either you should tell him what he wants to know, or just make something up. Cause it's going to be a long and painful experience if you say nothing." As she went, she picked up a metal folding chair that she had previously been sitting on, and dragged it out of the room. "Actually, I take that back. If you just make something up, and Kazuya finds out you lied, its game over. You're sooooo dead."
Asukon watched her leave in disbelief. He turned to the man in the army uniform, desperately hoping that he would be more helpful.
"Please…" Asukon said. "I don't know you people! This has to be some kind of mistake! Just let me go!" He pleaded.
The man in the army uniform shook his head. "I'm afraid I can't do that. You're just going to have to hang out here for a while, until Kazuya arrives." And with that, the man turned around to face the door. He began walking towards it, following the trail of the girl in the fox mask.
"Wait! Please come back!" Shouted Asukon in despair. "I haven't eaten in days!"
This caught the man's attention. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small granola bar, still in the wrapper. He quickly pulled the wrapper off, and tossed the granola bar towards Asukon. It landed squarely in his lap.
Asukon looked down at the granola bar sitting on his lap, then back at the man who had just thrown it. "I can't even reach that! You tied my hands behind this damn chair!" He cried loudly.
The man in the army uniform chuckled lightly at his prisoner's predicament. "Sorry champ. You're on your own." He said as he grabbed the second metal folding chair and dragged it out of the room. Once he was out of the room, the man slammed a large metal door behind him, leaving Asukon trapped inside.
"HEY!" Screamed Asukon, trying in vain to make the two mysterious people return. But they would not. Their job had been done, and now it was time for Kazuya to take over.
Asukon looked around the room, trying to find any kind of escape route or key to his survival, but there was none. The room was made of a white-colored metal, with a low ceiling and perfectly clean interior. A single metal door and a blacked out window were the only things on any of the walls. A large metal table stood directly in front of him.
Suddenly, Asukon realized that he was sitting in an interrogation room. And there was no way out.
Damn it… I suppose I have no other options than to sit here and wait for Kazuya…

(200th floor of Mishima Zaibatsu)
…
…
Kazuya's eyes narrowed.
Jun was unfazed. "In addition to finding Devil, you also underwent a mental transformation that day. You told me that you swore vengeance upon your father, and you swore that you would not rest until he pay for what he did. That was when you lost your humanity for the first time. At age eight, you were already a hate-filled man."
"I don't care what I was." He sneered.
"You do." Said Jun powerfully. "And I do too."
"You should learn to mind your own business." He replied.
"This IS my business, Kazuya. We have a child together. Our entire lives have revolved around each other. There is nothing else for us."
"Nothing else? I have a business to run." Said Kazuya, eyeing the phone on his desk.
"You and I both know that you hate this 'business'. You hate the work, the duties, the bureaucracy, the arrogance, all of it. The Mishima family might have owned this Zaibatsu for ages, but it has never suited you."
"Never suited the Mishimas?" Asked Kazuya confusedly. "The Zaibatsu has been the responsibility of the Mishima family for four straight generations. It is our life."
"But none of you ever wanted it. Of course, none of you will ever admit it, but I can see that none of you have ever been content while in power."
"Explain." Demanded Kazuya.
"Fine… I'll start with Jinpachi." Said Jun, referencing Kazuya's grandfather, the original founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu. "He only formed the Zaibatsu as a small business enterprise. I'm not an expert on the history, but I believe that it all started with a dojo, yes?"
Kazuya nodded reluctantly. No one perfectly remembered the ancient history of his grandfather, but legend had it that Jinpachi founded the Zaibatsu by opening up a dojo. From there, the conglomerate grew to include more and more different businesses.
"Well," said Jun. "You saw Jinpachi during the fifth tournament. He hated war. He hated all the violence and destruction that his family had brought about. Surely he had no intention of forming a worldwide business empire all those years ago, right? He was more interested in making a living, not dominating global economies. He never wanted the Zaibatsu. He just wanted a simple living."
"Until Heihachi showed up…" Muttered Kazuya.
"Indeed." Confirmed Jun. "In fact, Heihachi also follows the same trends as the other Mishimas. The Zaibatsu was never what interested him."
"That's absurd. His life was the Zaibatsu."
"No, it wasn't." Replied Jun, like a schoolteacher preparing her lecture. "In some aspects, the idea of economic control appealed to Heihachi, but it was not what he truly wanted. He craved something else; domination. And building a business empire failed to satisfy this desire, thus he turned to other outlets… Namely, the tournaments."
"The tournaments? Heihachi announced the first tournament to draw me out of hiding, that's all."
"Are you sure about that?" Asked Jun with a half-smile. "Think about it, Kazuya. If Heihachi actually knew about your survival all those years ago, and wanted to capture you, then there would have been plenty of other ways to do it. For instance, he could have simply sent out men to find you, or invitations to you, for a one-on-one battle. But instead, he chose to host a worldwide tournament for participants all over the world."
"Are you trying to say that Heihachi announced the first Tekken Tournament for fun?"
"Fun… or the rush." Clarified Jun. "Obviously, his tournament didn't NEED six or seven additional fighters, but he called them up anyway. Because he enjoyed the thrill of the fight. The sweat, the tension, the pain, the power, and the raw violence of it all. Some men just crave that, drawn to it as if it were a beautiful woman. For Heihachi, his woman was the thrill of the fight."
Kazuya scoffed at Jun's conclusion.
Jun shot him a mildly irritated look. "It makes sense. That is why he treated Jinpachi so badly, that is why he treated your mother so badly, that is why he treats YOU so badly. It is because of his addiction to the rush of combat. An addiction that has very little to do with running a business conglomerate. In the end, the only reason Heihachi truly wants the Zaibatsu is to ensure that another tournament will come. Did you notice how Heihachi has recently stopped trying to take control of the Zaibatsu? It's not a coincidence."
"You don't know what you're talking about." Interrupted Kazuya.
"I think I do. The last two tournaments were started by someone other than Heihachi, which he doesn't even mind. Whenever Jinpachi, or Jin, or you, or ANYONE for that matter, decides to announce a tournament, Heihachi is happy. It's all he cares about. And as long as you and Jin continue your rivalry, there will be a steady supply of tournaments for him to enjoy."
"No there won't." Declared Kazuya bluntly. "The days of the Tekken Tournament are over. Now that I am in control, I have no need for them."
Jun could not help but smile faintly. "No more tournaments, you say?"
"Yes. No more." Replied Kazuya gruffly.
"Hahaha, then I hate to say it, but Heihachi won't be very happy to hear that…"
"I do not fear him."
"I never said you did. All I'm saying is; the longer there is no tournaments, the more likely it is that Heihachi will return."
"He cannot return. He is an old man now."
"I returned."
"You weren't pushing eighty."
"But I was dead. Dead trumps old."
Kazuya scowled.
The thought of seeing that demented old man makes my blood boil. I never honestly considered that Heihachi would return, but Jun makes a good point. As long as the world is at peace…his return is a possibility. A possibility that I will not stand for.
"Now you see, Kazuya. Heihachi doesn't care about the Zaibatsu. You know, the business could be in the hands of an infant, and he wouldn't care. As long as there is an ample supply of combatants to entertain him."
"I still disagree." Said Kazuya.
"Fine, then consider Jin. His motives should be the most obvious."
"How so."
"He seeks a purpose."
"He had a purpose. And he failed it."
"I still don't agree with the idea of Jin being destined to save me."
"It was the only reason he was ever born."
"Whatever the reason might have been, he still seeks purpose."
"How."
"For his entire life, Jin has not had a place to belong. His mother told him to live quietly in nature. His grandfather told him to become a weapon of destruction. His advisors told him to run a business. His father told him to die. Jin, just like a pup separated from its mother, is lost."
"Lost?"
"Indeed. He doesn't know what he should do with his life. He has tried everything, including running the Zaibatsu, to fill that purpose, but nothing worked. He only ended up running the business because his father and grandfather used to do it. Perhaps he thought it was in his blood."
"It IS in his blood."
"There are many things that run through Mishima blood, Kazuya. But the Zaibatsu is not one of them."
"How could it not be. The Zaibatsu has been in this family for generations on end. It is our legacy."
"No, it is just a byproduct of the legacy."
"What do you mean."
"I do not know the true legacy of the Mishima bloodline, but I can be sure that the Zaibatsu is not it. Think about it logically, every time someone wins a fight, what must there be for the winner to claim?"
"A prize…"
"Exactly. The Zaibatsu is the prize. Nothing more. And as it keeps changing hands, it gets bigger and bigger."
"I don't see how this affects me at all."
"But Kazuya, it affects you the most, because you think that you want the Zaibatsu too. You've been telling yourself for years that you will achieve redemption and power when you get control over it, but now that you finally have it, you're as unhappy as ever, if not more."
Kazuya said nothing.
"You know that I am right. All these feelings of doubt and anger, they are the evidence. It all adds up to conclude my final theory; none of the Mishimas want to own the Zai-"
Kazuya looked at Jun with a confused expression on his face, due to the fact that he had stopped talking in the middle of her sentence. Then, he realized what was happening.
Jun looked up at Kazuya and winced. "I'm running out of energy. I have to leave soon." She said quietly.
Kazuya folded his arms over his chest and looked down at the woman with disappointment in his eyes. "How long until you return." He asked.
"I am not sure. Probably a day or two…" Replied Jun.
"Very well. But before you go, I have one thing to say about your little theory."
"What would that be?" Asked Jun.
"You say that Jinpachi, Heihachi, Jin, and myself do not want the Zaibatsu, correct?"
"Yes…"
"Well you forgot one Mishima." Said Kazuya with a half-smile. "You forgot the one Mishima that has never even come close to owning the Zaibatsu in his life."
Kazuya expected Jun to be startled by this, but instead she remained calm. In fact, she even seemed to be smiling.
"I did not forget him…" She said slowly.
"Well then, what do you think about him? Because as far as I am concerned, that man breaks your pattern." Said Kazuya triumphantly, who was happy to finally be in charge of the conversation.
Jun, however, had a strange look on her face. She bent down and got on one knee, supporting herself as she tried not to fall over from fatigue. Her skin was turning white, just like it was at the gala.
Before long, Jun would disappear again.
Kazuya looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Well…?" He asked. "How does he fit into all of this?"
Jun bowed her head, then slowly picked it back up. In apparent pain, she looked up at Kazuya, who towered over her like a giant.
"Why don't you ask him?" She said deviously.
Just then, the phone rang loudly.
Kazuya reflexively spun his head around in surprise, and looked at the phone. It was blinking, indicating a call from Jane downstairs.
He turned his head around to face Jun again, but when he looked, he was shocked at what he saw.
There was nobody there. Jun had vanished.
"God damn it…" Muttered Kazuya as he scanned the room, looking for Jun. Unfortunately, he knew that he wouldn't find her. Jun had left her physical form again, returning back to his mind.
After looking around the room one more time, Kazuya stomped angrily over to his desk. As he walked, he pondered what Jun's final words had meant.
"Why don't you ask him?" What the hell is she talking about?
Kazuya reached the desk and grabbed the phone with his outstretched hand. Bringing it up to his ear, he prepared to deal with whatever nonsense Jane wanted to tell him.
"Jane." He said bluntly as he answered the call.
On the other end of the line, Jane sounded extremely nervous.
"Mr. Mishima?" She asked.
"What."
"You should probably come down here. There's a woman that really wants to see you."
"Who."
"Her name is-" But before Jane could tell Kazuya what the woman's name was, she was cut off by the sound of shuffling. On the other end of the line, it sounded like people were fighting over the phone.
"Jane?" Asked Kazuya angrily, annoyed by the strange sounds.
Finally, after more muffled arguing and shouting, the line was quiet, then, a different woman spoke.
"Kazuya darling? Is that you?" Asked a seductive female voice.
Kazuya was shocked by who he heard. "Is this…?"
"YES! It's me! God, I haven't heard your voice in ages! Come on down here so we can catch up on old times, kay?"
"Anna what the hell are you doing?" Asked a furious Kazuya Mishima.
"Why I'm simply inviting you to come down here, that's all. I would have come up there personally, but your stupid secretary says I can't do that unless I get permission from you directly. I mean really. The nerve of this woman…" Said Anna Williams.
"Give her the phone. Now." Commanded Kazuya, who was not in the mood for Anna's ridiculous antics.
"But Kazuya, I've got big news to tell you! Oh, you're going to love it…"
"Love what."
"Your present! You'll never guess what I picked up a few days ago."
"Anna you shouldn't be here right now. I assigned you on a mission months ago."
"That's it!" Exclaimed Anna in delight. "It's the mission!"
"What about the mission…"
"What about the mission!?" Asked Anna in mock confusion, acting like Kazuya was underplaying her big announcement. "Why, I finished it of course!"
"You did what?!"
"You heard me. I finished your little quest! Mission accomplished."
Kazuya was silent. But that mission was to…
"He's here. In your secretary's office. You won't believe how hard it was to lug his annoying ass halfway across the globe. I had to hire two goons to carry him for me."
"How did you-?"
"I'll tell you when you get down here, silly. So come on! Don't you want to meet him?"
Kazuya was silent again. He could not believe what he was hearing. Anna Williams, the obnoxious pain in his side, had actually completed the mission she had been assigned on. It was an earth-shattering revelation.
"Come on Kazuya, old spikey-hair is just dyin' to see ya…" Said Anna sensually as she hung up the phone, and left Kazuya alone in silence, utterly flabbergasted by what had transpired.
If Anna was telling the truth, then Kazuya knew he was in for a very interesting family reunion…
End Chapter Eleven
(Anna Williams! I know right? I never really liked Anna too much, but recently she's really started to grow on me. I read a few stories about her(shout-out to The Fembot, she makes fantastic Anna stories), and I decided that she deserved a spot in my own humble tale. If you're a fan of Anna too, then get ready, because I intend to make her a fairly regular addition to the storyline. Also, by show of hands, how many of you figured out who the second mystery character was? A true Tekken enthusiast should be able to figure it out based just on the clues I dropped, but if you're having trouble thinking of this new character, then have no fear. Way back in chapter 2 or 3, I talked about Anna and what her mission was, so if you still haven't figured out who this mystery guy is, just backtrack to one of those chapters and it'll tell you. Chapter twelve is going to be a big one, so I'll try to write and upload it as fast as I can. However, a lot is going on in my life right now, so it might end up getting delayed :(. Hopefully it won't have to come to that, and I'll get twelve uploaded within a week or two. Anyway, thank you soooo much for reading, and please leave a review to let me know what you think! Reviews mean more to us authors than you'd think! Thanks!)
