Chapter 10: Congratulations
The next day, Nessa and Mufasa got Simba safely to his private school with Nala before they head off to work. Nessa then notices more security in the building as she looks at Mufasa who notices Nessa look and said
"It was Sulley's idea"
"I see" Nessa nodded.
"Just don't let all of this drama get to you OK? Try and work like you normally do every day" Mufasa said.
"I'll try" Nessa nodded.
"Hey, nothing bad is going to happen to you" Mufasa soothed.
"I trust you" Nessa said as she nuzzles her husband as they head for their office.
A few hours later, Nessa and Mufasa have just finished a meeting with their employees at the Lion Technology Company. They went inside Mufasa's office as Nessa giggled
"Well that meeting went well"
"Sure did" Mufasa nodded.
"So do you want so coffee or tea?" Nessa asked.
"Yes, please" Mufasa replied.
Nessa was about to go to call Zazu when suddenly, she felt a weird feeling inside her stomach as she stumbles at bit, much to Mufasa's alarm as he asked
"Nessa? Are you OK?"
"I-I'm fine, just a little uneasy...Maybe from that first coffee I had, I guess" Nessa nodded.
Nessa then makes her way out of the door until suddenly she groans and holds her belly before she felt sick in the stomach and rushes to the bin and vomits in it.
"Nessa!" Mufasa gasped as he got up from his desk.
"I...I..." Nessa gasped before she pukes again before shivering on the ground.
Mufasa rushes to his wife's side and gently lies her down on the couch.
"I don't feel well" Nessa moaned a bit.
"I'll get Shere Khan right away" said Mufasa
Nessa nodded as Mufasa rushes to his intercom and calls Zazu as he said
"Zazu! Get Mr Khan up in my office now ASAP! It's urgent"
"Right away sire" Zazu replied through the intercom.
Without a moment sooner, Shere Khan enters the office and sees Nessa lying down on the couch before he looks at Mufasa asked
"What seems to be the problem?"
"It's my wife, Khan, She doesn't feel well. She was puking and started to shiver badly before you came" Mufasa explained.
"I see, give me a while alone with Nessa sir" Shere Khan nodded.
Mufasa looks at Nessa who nodded at her husband, knowing that she trusts Khan like he does with Khan too.
"Very well" Mufasa replied and he leaves the room and waits outside.
"Sire, what's happening?" Bagheera asked.
"My wife is not well" Mufasa replied.
"She was pretty fine this morning" said Beast.
"I know and I don't know why she's like this" Mufasa replied.
"Who's with her now?" Aslan asked.
"Shere Khan, he's checking up on my wife to see if there's anything going on" said Mufasa.
"I hope Nessa is alright" said Bagheera.
"Me too my friend, me too" said Mufasa.
Suddenly Shere Khan came out of the office as he announced
"I suggest we take Nessa to the hospital"
"Why? What's wrong with her?!" Mufasa asked in deep concern
Shere Khan smiles and hugs him before purring
"Congratulations my brother"
"Congratulations on what?" Mufasa asked in confusion.
"Your wife is pregnant" Shere Khan replied.
The trio gasped as Mufasa looks at the tiger with widen eyes and his jaw open before falling to the ground.
"You're a fucking pussy Mufasa" Shere Khan laughed.
"Is he alright?!" Aslan asked.
"Of course he's fine, he's just fainted" Shere Khan chuckled.
"How do you know?" Beast asked.
"Because he did the same thing when Sarabi announced she was pregnant with Simba" Khan replied before he rings the hospital to come and collect Nessa with Mufasa.
Later on at the Pride Rock Hospital, Mufasa slowly regain his senses as he sees Sarafina with him on the chairs at the waiting room.
"Glad to see you're still with us kitty cat" Sarafina giggled.
"What happened?" Mufasa groaned.
"You did the same thing when you found out Sarabi was pregnant. Man you'll never change" Sarafina laughed.
Mufasa gave Sarafina a small grumpy glare yet at the same time he was embarrassed for he did, indeed, fainted when Sarabi told him she was pregnant with Simba. Mufasa then looks around and said
"Where are we?"
"We're at the hospital at the waiting room and it's about time you've woken up, if you still slept in for another five minutes went by and they would have confused you for a patient in a coma and put you in a hospital bed" Sarafina giggled.
"Yeah, yeah, very funny (!) Where Nessa?" said Mufasa.
"She's with the doctor, checking on her pregnancy and seeing if it's true what Shere Khan says. I suspect he is right because well let's face it, He's never wrong" said Sarafina.
Soon Professor Knight comes in with Shere Khan before Mufasa asked
"Is it true?"
"Yes it is true Mr Pride, Congratulations" Knight replied.
Sarafina cheers in delight and cuddles Mufasa before she gleefully exclaimed.
"Congratulations to you both"
"Would you like to see her, Mufasa?" Khan asked.
"Yes, I want to see her" Mufasa nodded.
"Follow me" said Khan.
"Oh and Mufasa, Vitani is with Dodger and he's going to pick up the kids" said Sarafina.
"Thank you" Mufasa thanked.
Shere Khan leads Mufasa to Nessa's hospital bed as they saw Nessa eating some low fat yoghurt until she sees Mufasa coming to her
"How are you feeling Nessa? Are you OK?" The lion asked.
"Yeah...I just...I can't believe that I'm pregnant with your cub" Nessa nodded nervously.
Mufasa warmly smiles and holds her gently before kissing her. When they part, Mufasa proudly purrs and said
"I love you Nessa, I am so very proud of you"
"You are?" Nessa giggled.
"Of course, we're going to have a new member of the family" Mufasa happily said.
"Oh Mufasa, I knew you would be so happy" Nessa gleefully replied as he holds her husband close.
"Of course I'm happy, I'm really happy for you and this is so wonderful. I feel more proud and happier for all of us now" Mufasa proudly said.
"So...what about Simba? Are you sure he'll be OK with this? I mean, I heard that most children get jealous because of parents having another child" said Nessa.
"Don't worry Nessa. Simba will understand and he will love to have a new little brother or sister to look after and play with" Mufasa chuckled.
Nessa nods as Mufasa happily kisses her again before Sarafina, Vitani and Shere Khan arrives with Simba and Nala
"The kids are here" said Vitani
"Thank you" Mufasa asked as he guides Simba in and gently puts him on Nessa's bed before the male cub goes to hug Nessa
"Hi son" Nessa greeted.
"Hi mommy" Simba greeted.
"Son, I have some big news for you" Nessa said.
"What is it mom?" Simba asked.
"Sweetie, Your father and I love you so much and I just want to tell you that...m-mommy's pregnant" Nessa announced.
"You mean you have a baby in your belly right now?" Simba asked.
"Yes" Nessa nodded.
"Wow, that's cool!" Simba said in amazement.
"Are you happy Simba?" Nessa kindly asked.
"Are you kidding me mom? I would love to have a younger brother or sister to hang out with" said Simba.
"And what does that make me?" Nala asked with a childish hmph.
"Still my cousin" Simba playfully replied.
The others chuckled as Nessa hugs him gently and kisses Simba on the forehead.
"I love you mom and I'm very happy for you" Simba said.
"Thank you Simba, thank you so much" Nessa gleefully thanked.
Mufasa kisses his wife on the check before Nessa hugs her son and husband as she was happy with her new family
Now with a second child now on the way. Everybody knew that for the few months, Nessa will be watching what she eats and her belly will slowly grow as the baby grows inside her. It will be tough for Nessa but with her family by her side, she knows that she'll be Ok.
Nessa is pregnant! Yay! :D
But will this good moment last for long?
