Chapter 11

Roxas stared at the screen with a tired, concentrated look on his face, he'd been playing for a few hours and was only on the final warproom without failing, beating the develouper times and sometimes even Namine's. His fingers were sore from holding the analouge stick and continuously pressing the X, O, R1 and [] buttons. The thoughts I will beat Namine, I WILL beat Namine. Kept going on his head in a loop, that's all that kept him going level after level, and so far it was working.

Roxas now moved on to his least favourite level to get dev time on, lvl 29, always the plane levels, aside from the jetski and water levels. He was nearing the last ring, about to beat Namine's time, but to his luck, the PlayStation started smoking.

"Oh no, that's not good."

Roxas unplugged the PlayStation from the wall and it stopped smoking.

"I guess you won, you were ahead of me there. Here's your $15."

Namine handed Roxas the $15. Roxas gave her a look of unsurity.

"You sure? I never did beat you."

"Well you could always buy another Playstation with it, right?"

Roxas laughed.

"I guess. But I think I have a few other ones around."

Namine had never seen him have any others, but for someone like him, he'd probably have some, and it's also an old console.

"Well, I guess there's always something else around here to do... Or have we done it all?" Namine said, looking around the messy room that was Roxas's bedroom. All around it were the messes of what they had done for the day, Playstation, drawings, couches and duvet covers, they had done everything they could've done at Roxas'. "Or... not. We've done everything around here that we can do haven't we?"

"Hmmm..." Roxas looked around the room, there must be something in this room of his, a hidden challenge? Or was it just time to put everything back to its original state? He got up and checked all of his drawers, he almost lost hope when in his bottom draw, he spotted an old familiar box. In that box were all kind of puzzles from, wooden, to metal, to twisty puzzles that were from the times where he was obsessed with them. "There's always these to do Namine!"

She looked over at what he was holding in his hands, an annoyed expression came across her face, she hated those. Roxas was always doing them when he was younger. "Ugh, no. I hate them, the amount of times you did them. Why don't we go over to the caves on the other island instead?"

Roxas thought about Namine's proposal for a moment before deciding what he'd like to do better. Eventually he decided to say yes to going to the other island. "Yeah sure, we always did enjoy going over there."

"Then it's settled... Race ya!"

Namine ran off, leaving Roxas behind with a shocked and confused expression, behind. "How do you even race me?" He said to himself, he saw from his window that she was already downstairs and outside waiting for him.

Zach lunged foward, awakening from his terrible dream. If was a flashback of his first ever mission, and where he had almost lost his comrade. He didn't want to think about it again. He got up from the destroyed building that they had taken refuge in, seeing as he was already awake. He groaned as he got up and went over to see if anything had changed around where they were.

Nothing too much, just a few fallen bricks and planks.

As he was about to get back to where he slept, - woke up.

"I guess it's time to explore some more?"

Zach turned around to look at the now awake -.

"Uh, yeah. I guess so. Let's go."

- got up and walked over to the doorway, she looked out into the city.

"This place really has changed a lot."

Roxas walked outside, astonished that Namine got out here that quickly. He laughed.

"What's so funny Roxas?"

"Nothing... It's just that you managed to get down here so quickly."

"Well, I HAVE been practicing." Namine then laughed and took off. "C'mon slow poke, we haven't got all day to get there."

Roxas started to run after her, but he stopped in place, he couldn't move.

What's happening?

Roxas saw Namine running over to him looking worried, then he only saw black.

Roxas couldn't see anything, even if he could he wouldn't know where he was. He seemed to be floating, black was all around him.

Where am I?This isn't home.

A light appeared underneath him and he started to lower down on it. The light kept getting bigger until it was a huge white circle glow. Roxas then lowered down on it and it transformed into s stained glass platform with a sleeping form of him on it.

What the?! What is this?

He looked around, there was nothing but this platform around him. He walked forward towards the center of the platform.

Roxas...

What was that? Who's there?!

I am your mind, heart, and soul...

OH really? Then tell me where I am!

Roxas swung his arm as if he was to fight, a key looking object appeared in his hand.

What the?!

This, is a keyblade... It is yours Roxas. Use it to protect yourself against foes and others who may cause harm to you and your friends...

Roxas brought the key up and carefully looked at it. It was a long black blade with a chain indented in the middle of it. He noticed along the hilt of the blade, there was a purple gem built into it. There was a flat, sharp pointed part on the end of the blade making it look like a key shape, and it had a keychain on the end of it with a black crown symbol connected to it.

A keyblade...?

In time you shall know how to use it...

Roxas began to fade out, and light shone in his eyes.

No! NO! Where am I going...

"Roxas!"

Roxas jerked up, looking Namine straight in the eyes.

"You alright Roxas?"

He was breathing heavily, and looked around."

"Yeah fine Namine. Just fine."

She looked at Roxas concerningly.

"Ok... Off to the caves I guess?"

Roxas beamed at the sound of the idea after what he just experienced.

"Yeah!"

In the bushes, a man was watching two kids, analysing them carefully. As they ran off he muttered,

"Keyblade weilders."

Great, finally done with this chapter, took me ages even though there is much. Oh well, since I can write this in english class now I will. :D
