Elena woke up the next day, sprawled across Elijah. During the night sometime, she had apparently moved so she was laying nearly on top of him. His arms were wrapped around her, and the blankets were tangled around them.

She snuggled closer for a few minutes, just enjoying the way they molded together perfectly. In his arms, she felt the safest she had in a long time. She felt like she could take on the world, with him by her side.

She continued to stare at him, taking in every line and curve of his face. He looked so much younger like this, when he was completely relaxed. She leaned up, pressing a kiss to his jaw. When he stirred a little, she smirked. Continuing to kiss down his jaw, she nipped the skin lightly.

When he let out a groan, she giggled. His hand came up, fisting in her hair. Before she knew what was happening, he'd flipped them over. She squealed slightly at the action, tilting her head back as he returned the gesture. He kissed along her jaw and neck, nipping slightly harder than she had.

"I could get used to a wake up call like this, every morning," he said softly, pulling back to stare down at her.

"Me too," She smiled, leaning up and kissing his nose.

She then moved towards the edge of the bed, only to be stopped by an arm snaking around her waist. He pulled her back, pressing a kiss to her lips.

"Noooo, I have morning breath," she giggled, shaking her head.

He raised an eyebrow before leaning down and kissing her again. His tongue quickly made it's way into her mouth, taking control of the kiss. She moaned quietly, relaxing back into the bed. Morning breath be damned, all she wanted to do was lay here and kiss him.

When he finally pulled away, she'd forgotten all about her insecurity. Instead, all she could think about was how badly her hormones were raging. Damn vampire senses. Elijah seemed to notice this, and smirked. He leaned in and nipped her ear, tugging her hair at the same time.

"Don't tease me," she said, pushing him away slightly.

"Would I do such a thing, Miss Gilbert?" He asked, smirking devilishly at her.

"Yes, I'm obliged to say you would." she said, grabbing a pillow and tossing it in his direction.

She then flashed towards the bathroom door, laughing when his arms wrapped around her waist. He held her with one hand, his other skimming up and down her sides, tickling her. She thrashed around, trying to escape his grasp.

"You two are sickening. Some of us are trying to sleep," a male voice said, coming through the walls.

She was pretty sure it had to be Kol, because it didn't sound like Klaus.

Elijah sighed, shaking his head. Elena giggled, pressing a kiss to his lips before detaching herself from his arms. She then made her way into the bathroom, using the mouthwash on the counter to somewhat clean her mouth. She then washed her face and headed towards the blonde originals room.

She knocked on the door, entering when she heard a grumbled 'come in'. The blonde was under a heap of pillows and blankets, and Elena chuckled slightly.

"I hate to bother you, but I don't have any clothes…the bloodstains wouldn't come out of mine," she said quietly.

"Closets that way, take whatever you need," she said, a hand emerging from the heap to point in the direction of one of the doors.

Elena nodded, and made her way towards the door. Her eyes widened when she saw the amount of clothes. "Oh wow…"

She grabbed a pair of denim shorts and the first tank top she found. The tank top was more dressy than she would normally wear, but she could make do.

After a quick goodbye to the blonde, and mumbled something in return, she headed towards Elijah's room to change.

Elijah was still in his room, laying back on the bed. She smiled at him and stepped into the bathroom.

After pulling on the borrowed clothes, she run her fingers through her hair. Since she had went to bed with it wet, it was in loose waves. After she was semi-satisfied with her appearance, she made her way back to the bedroom.

Elijah was standing in closet, flicking through the racks of suits. Elena stepped up behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. His hand resting on hers, and he squeezed it gently.

"Almost all of your suits are dark blue and gray," she giggled, shaking her head.

He spun around and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you criticizing my choice of clothes?"

"No, I just think its funny that aside from Rebekah, none of you wear anything but dark colors."

"Would you have me where a god awful bright color such as pink?" He smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"I think you would look hot in pink...like a neon hot pink..." She said, nodding while keeping a straight face.

"I think you must be ill...me wear pink? I think not,"

Elena laughed, and leaned up to press a kiss to his lips. She then reached out and pulled out a pair of dark gray pants and a white button up.

"This is probably the most casual I am going to get you to dress out in public, isn't it?" She asked, batting her eyelashes.

"Probably," he smirked, taking the clothes from her hands.

"I want to stop by my house and check on Jeremy, and then I kinda wanna go out to a couple shops in town and see how I do," she said, tilting her head. "Are you free?"

"I very well could be, yes."

She grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him once more before pulling away and stepping through the door.

"I am going to find some breakfast," she said, casting him a smile over her shoulder.

She flashed down to the room she and Rebekah had been in last night. When she entered, Klaus was leaning against the counter drinking a glass of blood.

She froze, not sure what to do. She could turn around and leave, but she knew he had already sensed her presence.

"You don't have to stand in the doorway, I'm not going to eat you." Klaus smirked, turning to her.

Elena cleared her throat and nodded, stepping just far enough to reach the mini fridge. She pulled out a bag, turning for the door.

"So you've been having nightmares..." Klaus started, making her once again freeze on the spot.

"Have you been having hallucinations as well?" He questioned, seeming genuinely interested.

"No." She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest.

He nodded, seeming to mull over that. He then sent her another smile and strutted out of the kitchen. She raised an eyebrow, shaking her head. She then pulled the top off of the blood bag, lifting it to her lips.

Elena stepped into her house, Elijah following behind her. She listened, hearing Jeremy's heartbeat coming from the kitchen. She slowly made her way towards the room, calming her nerves.

Being in the grill with Caroline had been different. The blonde vampire had known what it was like to be a new vampire. But Jeremy...he didn't totally understand how hard it was for her.

As soon as she walked into the kitchen, Jeremy noticed her. He instantly rushed forward, throwing his arms around her. Is she wasn't a vampire, she was sure he would have knocked the wind out of her at the action.

She smiled slightly, wrapping her arms around his waist. She practiced her breathing techniques, focusing on Elijah.

Suddenly her brother pulled back and sent her a glare. "You are just now stopping by to let me know you are safe? I was worried sick!"

Elena looked down guiltily. She should have figured Jeremy would hear through the grapevine what had happened.

"I'm sorry Jer- yesterday was a little crazy..."

"You could have called me or even sent me a text!" He exclaimed, shaking his head.

"My phone was at the lake house...when I was grabbed, it was left there." She said, feeling the guilt gnawing at her.

Jeremy opened his mouth to say something, when he saw her eyes water. He sighed softly, pulling her into another hug.

"I'm sorry, I was just worried." He whispered in her ear.

She buried her face in his chest, breathing in his scent. She had missed him while she was gone.

When they finally did pull away, Jeremy looked towards Elijah. He noticed the way he looked at his sister. If he didn't know any better he would say the man was in love. He wrapped an arm around his sister's shoulders, seizing up the original.

"So, are y'all together yet?" He asked, a goofy grin spreading across his face.

Elena jerked her head up to look at him, her eyes wide. Elijah's own eyes widened in surprise, his eyebrows arching.

"Your compassion is a gift, Elena. Carry it with you, as I will carry my regret. Always and forever." Jeremy said in a sing-song voice.

Elena narrowed her eyes, smacking his chest. "You jerk! You went through my things?!"

Jeremy just squeezed her tighter, laughing. "I found it the day before I called Elijah. When I read it and discovered he had feelings for you, just as you did for him-"

"How do you know I had feelings for him?"

"Because we were all the time hearing how honorable and noble he was...and you were always so quick to defend him. It was kind of obvious. Plus you two would have already denied it if I was wrong," he said, grinning once more.

"Technically we aren't together..." She said, pulling away slightly to look at her brother.

Jeremy rolled his eyes, shoving her lightly. "Yeah, okay." He said mockingly.

She shook her head, but smiled none the less.

"So, I was getting ready to go to work, but Matt and I are planning on hanging out after we get off work. You wanna come and play pool?" Jeremy asked, slipping his keys in his pocket.

Elena glanced up at Elijah, "Would you wanna go to the grill? You could stay at the bar if you didn't want to play pool."

"I wouldn't mind. I think interacting with humans would be a good thing for you. Get used to the blood." He said.

"Well, I'm working the short shift today. I will be off around six." And with that, Jeremy kissed his the side of his sisters head and headed towards the door.

Elena watched him go before turning to Elijah.

"Well, I guess I am going to go put on some of my own clothes..." She said, before shooting him a flirty smile. "But I mean...we are here all by ourselves."

Elijah smirked, stepping forward. He placed his hands on her hips, pulling her towards him.

"And what do you suggest?" He smirked, raising his eyebrows in question.

Elena grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck. She leaned up, her lips seeking his. The kiss was all tongue and teeth, making her whimper. Elijah tangled his hands in her hair, tugging it just enough to cause her to moan into the room, loudly.

Elena slid her hands down his back. She slid her fingers in the belt loops of his pants and pulled him closer to her. She felt his teeth nip her bottom lip enough to make it bleed. When he slowly sucked the blood from the wound, she felt arousal shoot through her.

Without thinking, her hand slid down the front of his pants, cupping his erection. It amazed her how in only a matter of minutes, he was so hard.

As soon as he felt her hand on him, any sliver of control he had been holding onto snapped. He quickly pushed her back so she was pinned between his body and the wall.

"Elijah..." She moaned when he lifted her up, letting her wrap her legs around him.

He cupped her face in his hands, kissing her harder. His hips slowly rotated into hers, his clothed erection rubbing her in all the right places.

His lips left hers, and made their way down her neck. He sucked the skin at her pulse point, relishing in the way she trembled against him.

Elena wiggled her hips, desperately seeking something more. While his own movements against her core was doing amazing things to her, she wanted more than just the friction.

Elijah continued to kiss downward, until he reached the top of her tank top. He pulled away slightly, sending her a smirk before he gripped the top of the shirt, pulling it down quickly. In doing so, he managed to pull her bra down as well. Both articles of clothing bunched just under her breasts.

When the cool air hit her nipples, they tightened into little pebbles. Elijah quickly took one into his mouth, sucking the flesh as his tongue flicked the tip.

Elena cried out, arching her back off of the wall. She could feel her wetness pooling in her underwear. She could also smell it, and knew Elijah could as well.

When a fresh wave of arousal his his nose, he moved his hips against hers harder. Elijah knew it wouldn't take much more before Elena came.

He switched breasts, his hands finding the button of her pants. He unbuttoned them, and slid his hand inside. His fingers teased her through her underwear, making her whimper.

"Elijah...please," she whispered, her voice sounding strained.

He quickly sat her legs down, sliding the shorts and underwear down just enough for his hand to move freely. He hitched one of her legs around his hip as his fingers found her slicked folds.

He slipped one finger into her, as his thumb teased her clit. When he felt her walls flutter around him, he groaned. He slowly started fucking her with his hand as his tongue continued to tease her nipples.

Elena moaned, moving her hips in time with his fingers. When he slid a second in, she nearly lost it. He sped up the pace with his fingers, his thumb abusing her clit.

When she finally fell over the edge, Elena's nails dug into his shoulders, her entire body quaking as her orgasm tore through her.

When her walls tightened around his fingers, he nearly lost it. He could just imagine the way she would feel around him.

As her orgasm slowly subsided, he gently pulled his fingers from her. Elena caught his wrist, pulling his hand up to her mouth. One by one, she licked his fingers clean. She kept eye contact as he did this, noting the way his eyes darkened even more. With one last kiss to his lips, she quickly used her speed to turn them around so he was back against the wall.

"Your turn," she smirked, before dropping to her knees in front of him.

Elena sat in the passenger seat of Elijah's car as he parked it outside of the grill. After their activities in the kitchen, they'd cleaned up and headed towards the little shops along main street in Mystic Falls.

Elena had browsed through, talking to some people she knew. Elijah had always stayed close by, just in case of an emergency.

Every time she would think of what had happened in the kitchen, she would get embarrassed. She was just glad she couldn't blush. It seemed that Elijah knew what she was thinking though, because he would smirk slightly when she looked at him.

Now they were getting ready to go inside the grill, and Elena glanced over at him.

"So, remember how I told Jeremy we weren't exactly together..."

"Yes," Elijah said putting the car in park and turning to look at her.

"Well, what are we? I mean I know you care for me, and I care for you...but you don't exactly seem like the boyfriend type." She said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

Elijah seemed to consider her words before taking her hand in his.

"How about this...I am yours, and you are mine." He said, his thumb stroking the back of her hand.

Elena smiled softly. She leaned forward, pressing a small kiss to his lips.

"I like that," she whispered, before pulling away and reaching for the door handle.

He stopped her however, and shook his head.

"Let me," and with that he turned the car off and gracefully climbed out.

Walking around the side, he opened the door for her and held a hand out for her to take. Once she was out of the car, he shut the door and locked it with the remote. As they walked towards the door, he placed his hand on the small of her back.

When they stepped through the threshold, Elena's eyes scanned the room. When her eyes landed on her brother, she smiled. He was talking to a pretty little brunette who Elena didn't recognize.

Matt was already playing pool, another classmate, Josh Fell, standing beside him. Elena made her way towards him, smiling at him when he saw her. Matt grinned, standing up. He stepped forward, wrapping her in a hug.

"How are you?" He whispered in her ear, rubbing her back.

"I'm good. Doing a lot better," she said, returning the hug.

When he pulled back, he looked towards Elijah. He said nothing, just nodded slightly.

"Hey Gilbert, you ready to watch me whip Donovan's ass at pool?" Josh asked, smirking towards Matt.

Elijah stepped forward, pressing a kiss to her ear. "I'm going to get a drink, I'll be at the bar if you need me."

Elena nodded, leaning up and kissing him softly. She watched him walk towards the bar, a smile etched across her face.

"Isn't that the historian that was here writing a book about a year ago?" Josh asked, raising an eyebrow.

Elena nodded, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "He's Rebekah's older brother,"

"Mikaelson? The hot blonde with the even hotter accent?" He asked, smirking.

"Yeah, that one." Matt said, shaking his head as he leaned over the table, aiming the pool stick at the cue ball.

Elena just chuckled, watching as the boys played pool. She hadn't done this in a long time. It felt nice to hang out with people her own age, not worrying about what was going to happen next.

"So, is Jeremy hitting it up with the new girl?" Josh asked, nodding his head towards her brother and the girl he was talking to.

"Technically she's not a new girl, she used to live her. She was just sent away to a boarding school," Matt replied, a crooked smile on his face.

"That's right...you're the one trying to get in those pants." Josh said, punching Matt's arm.

"You are disgusting," Elena said, shaking her head with a smile.

"But its true. And here she comes, all smiles for you Mattie Pants."

Elena laughed, turning to look at the girl. Just as Josh had said, she was heading their way, Jeremy following behind her.

The girl had long black hair, and pale skin. She looked familiar, but Elena couldn't exactly place where she was from. When they got closer, the girl offered Elena a smile.

"Elena Gilbert!" The girl said, her smile widening.

Elena opened her mouth to reply, but stopped. When the girl got close enough Elena could actually see her eyes, she felt her stomach churn.

"April Young," She managed to squeak out.

When the girl nodded, Elena gasped and quickly stumbled past her. She booked it for the door, feeling her emotions quickly crashing down.

Once outside, she stumbled towards the alley. She gasped for air, the words Pastor Young had said in her dreams echoing in her ears.

"Hey...are you okay?" A feminine voice asked from further down the alley.

Elena looked up, seeing another girl her age putting put a cigarette. The girl was another brunette that she went to school with. They'd never really talked, but Elena knew her name was Susan.

"I'm so sorry," Elena managed to whisper before she was on the girl.

She slammed her into the wall behind her, so hard she heard a crack. Elena sank her teeth into the girls neck, tearing the skin violently.

Author's Note: So, sorry it's taking me so long. I'm going through some crazy stuff right now. I will post a longer author's note in a couple days explaining everything. Just know that updates will be spotty at best for now.
