Hello Everyone, Ship here, bringing you the latest instalment of the Wolf and the Princess. Now in the last chapter I asked you all if some form of reply was wanted, many of you have said you would like for me to reply to your reviews.
So each new chapter I will acknowledge the reviewers of the previous chapter (i.e. Chapter 9 reviewers will be acknowledged in Chapter 10.)
I will also be taking the time over the next few weeks to be updating my chapters and putting in previous reviewers acknowledgments so look for your name in the chapters. :)
So here are the acknowledgements from chapter 9:
zeldamast - Its nice to hear that someone thinks so highly of my story. Thank you for your review.
snakedabomb - I will do my level best to do so from now on. I did worry about the triforce scene in case I made it too rushed, its nice to know at least one of my readers liked it.
The 'Love Triangle' is going to really get kicked up a gear now, I have great plans for the trio.
FinalKingdomHearts - I will make to sure to answer whenever there is a review.
The Final Lament - It is nice to know I have peaked your interest, keep reading and let me know what you think.
Shadow Commando - Link is certainly not getting away with simply killing Ganondorf, I always felt that was something lacking from the games, he just simply died without a final curse or anything similar.
I have not read poison of goodbyes so I will give it a shot and see what I can glean from it, as well as avoiding my story becoming a carbon copy, I'm having to be really careful about how I go about this so lets hope I do it right.
ForGG - Maybe, but I kind of like the idea of Link choosing to rely on people rather than going it alone.
Guest - I do like the idea of Courage being the counter to Wisdom and Power becoming corrupt, maybe something to consider in a separate story? Musings….
While there are Links that have not possessed the Triforce, I like the way in most games he has always had a third or one of three pieces of a power. Makes it a nice balancer.
So, moving on from that, here is the next chapter, I can only hope the way this story is going is to every bodies liking.
Are you ready…?
GO!

Disclaimer: I am not an owner of Legend of Zelda, a fact that haunts me daily.
Pressing a damp cloth to his forehead, the princess leaned back and sighed. He had only just returned and he was once again having to fight for his life, it seems that fate was cruel when in the mood. Zelda sighed once more before turning to consult the tome she'd been reading, trying to find anything regarding the Triforce that might be able to help them. Midna had disappeared into the castle library, claiming she would be of more help to her love if she could find a way to suppress the curse. Grenwal, that wonderful old man, had gathered everything he knew would be related to dark magic and the triforce, claiming she would be able to peruse the contents much faster.
Laying the text down for the moment, she turned to observe the young man currently resting on the bed; it turns out he was much heavier than he looked, it had taken all three of them to lift him to the room, not wanting the guards to be aware of the issue.
She blushed, remembering the feel of his muscles under her arms, like liquid steel rippling under her touch.
"You know, you can steal a kiss if you want. I don't mind."
The amused, mischievous voice of Midna came from the doorway, causing Zelda to jump, she did not hear the door open, having been content simply watching the hero.
"I don't want to be-" Zelda began, only to be cut off;
"Inappropriate? I'd say ogling my fiancee counts under that don't you?"
The Hyrulian monarch lowered her head, eyes downcast from embarrassment, now sure she had been found out. The light sound of footsteps grew as she was approached by the Twili, not sure what to expect she kept her head down, fearful of the anger or hurt that would come. She had seen the ring, and had been expecting it if perfectly honest, it still did sting though when she saw the gleam of the silver rupee ring.
Instead she found a slim hand cupping her chin and lifting it, forcing her to look into crimson eyes which, instead of the anger or hurt she expected to find, were filled with warmth and kindness.
"You think you do not deserve happiness as well?" Midna whispered softly; "You lost as much as I did through the fighting and the bloodshed." She smiled while talking, reassuring her fellow monarch as she did; "Your feelings for him aren't as surprising as you believe, who could not fall for him?"
Bending, the Twili lightly pressed her lips to Zelda's cheek as she released her chin; "I always wanted a sister anyway."
Giggling, the young woman stepped away from her stunned counterpart, turning to her still sleeping fiancee; "There is good news as well." She spoke as she strode over and began to remove Links tunic, revealing the same well toned muscle Zelda had glimpsed before; "I can seal the curse from the Triforce of Power."
This shocked the young woman from her stupor; "How? The Triforce is the most powerful object in Hyrule, nothing I can think of can constantly counteract its power."
A low chuckle caused her to watch as Midna lifted a slim leg over her love, straddling his waist as she placed both hands on the centre of his chest; "You're right, there is nothing in Hyrule, but you forget, I'm not from Hyrule, I'm from the Twilight realm."
As she spoke, soft tendrils of darkness began to rise around her, the magic of the fused shadow lighting the room up like twilight itself. The power began to build, Zelda's own Triforce piece reacting, its glow in contrast with the eerie glow of the room, watching from the side the Hyrulian could see perfectly what was going on; Lines, similar in pattern to Midna's, were beginning to appear from the centre of his chest, spreading outwards to run through his body, circles appearing on the back of his hands with single lines connecting them to the primary circle surrounding where her hands were.
A second central circle appeared above the primary, also connected, a single line appeared in the top right of the secondary, running up Links neck until it reached just beneath his eye, drawing across the bridge of his nose until it came to a stop under his other. Other lines of magic spread from the primary, running down his chest and following the lines of his abs and muscles as if mapping out his body.
Eventually the lines came to a stop, Midna slumping forward onto his chest panting, her chest pressing tightly onto his as she caught her breath. Zelda moved forward, examining the pattern running on the hero's body, it suited him in a sense; "So this will suppress the curse until we can find a way to completely free him?"
"Yes." She replied, still sounding out of breath; "But we don't have a lot of time, a week or two at most."
Sitting upright once again, she smirked at the princess; "He'll wake up soon, want to take my place?"
As well as defusing the tense situation, she also got the pleasure of seeing the usually prim and proper monarch turn an adorable shade of red before stuttering out a reply; "I-i, w-would not call that ap-appropriate."
Grinning in an almost feral way Midna leaned toward her slightly; "You sure? Be a hell of a way to tell him your feelings."
Not able to take it anymore, Zelda made her escape, quickly running before the mischievous Twili could tease her anymore shutting the door as she went. In turn, the Twilight Princess simply pouted; "Spoilsport. Now, what to do about you?" She murmured lowly as she turned to stare down at her love.
An idea came to her as she stared down at his well muscled chest, now decorated with the natural pattern of her own peoples magic. A light rustle of clothing could be heard through the room.
Link came to roughly a half hour later, groaning as he felt a weight on his waist, two sources of warmth pressing on his chest. Opening his eyes groggily, he tried to remember going to bed, on to find himself staring into two beautifully crimson orbs, heavy with love and lust.
His fiancee was sitting on his waist, her hands resting on his chest, which he now noticed had blue lines running all over it much to his shock, thinking it was her magic, he opened his mouth to ask about it only to have her press her lips against his, her tongue slipping in for a steaming kiss.
Only when she pulled away did he notice something that made his ability to speak simply vanish, she was as naked as the day she was born, curves on full display for him;
"This is certainly a hell of a sight to wake up to." He managed to croak out, his throat suddenly dry as he drank in the sight of the nude beauty before him.
"Mmmm, I had to remove your shirt to seal the curse, those markings look really good on you by the way." She gasped out huskily, grinding against him as she did so.
That answered the question about his new tattoos, now onto other matters; "I hope you're not just planning to tease me?" He growled out, the hungry look in his eyes told her it wasn't really a question. His hands, which had settled on her waist, now rose to tease the soft flesh he found there, causing her to gasp.
There was no more talking after that, their desires getting the better of them, the room began to echo their gasps and moans as they explored each others bodies.
Link emerged a few hours later, pulling his tunic on over the new scratches and bite marks on his body, turns out his fiancee really enjoyed his new markings. Said fiancee sauntered out a minute after him, a satisfied look on her face, she had some markings of her own, a light bruise on her neck where his lips had been.
Walking down the corridor the pair remained close, some form of their bodies always connected, wether it be their fingers brushing or their hips nudging together as they sought out Zelda.
They found her in the library, reading a thick tome with an almost thoughtful look on her face. She looked up when she heard the doors opening, a look of sweet relief on her face when she saw Link moving around. Putting the tome down she met them half way, wrapping her arms around the hero without even thinking of her actions. Luckily, he anticipated it this time and felt more comfortable returning the hug reassuring her he was alright;
"You had both of us worried you know." She murmured, stepping back and exchanging a smile with Midna, who grinned back.
Link smiled, not noticing the secret exchange between the two women, instead he focussed on the still rolled up scroll Grenwal delivered last night; "You have not read it?"
Following his line of sight, Zelda shook her head when she realised what he was referring to; "It requires both Twili and Hyrulian magic, I've unlocked it on my end but, Midna I'm going to need your help."
"As always?" The Twili in question grinned teasingly, before moving to the scroll. A simple wave of her hand and her seal was unlocked, the scroll rolling open almost eagerly.
What lay before them appeared to be a journal of sorts, with three small triangles in a column down the left hand side of the scroll, with the combined triforce underneath the three. The language was not something either Hyrulian could decipher, the characters actually reminded them of the Twili markings decorating the princess and her lover. Turning, the pair found Midna reading fervently, her eyes not quite believing what she was reading, if this was true, then they needed to get the Triforce of Power out of Link as soon as possible.
"Midna?" She felt a hand on her shoulder, turning she found her fiancee looking at her, a concerned look on his face; "What does it say?"
She cleared her throat, not sure how to begin; "I may as well be blunt, this is a detailed description of a hidden secret regarding this realms Triforce pieces."
The two Hyrulian's looked at each, not sure what she meant when she said 'secret', they thought they knew about the pieces.
Saying this much, Midna shook her head; "This is something that had been hidden for a long, long time. Something I believed Ganondorf knew about, hence why he wanted the pieces in the first place."
Continuing her explanation she simply looked at Link; "You have two pieces write now, even if one of them is corrupted. This scroll explains what happens if a mortal takes all three pieces inside themselves, instead of simply touching the three."
Looking at the pair for a time, she simply said; "You will become a God."
Aaaaaaaaand break, I'm gonna leave you there with a small cliffy people. Hopefully I have managed to kept you entertained with this chapter, as well as peaking your interest on where the story is going.
In a related matter, I have a challenge for my more artsy readers. A Twili patterned Link, I challenge you, if you have the time, to draw your version of what I have described, I have looked and not really found close to what I have described on the inter-highway, so lets see if you can make it a reality. If you don't want to its up to you, just thought it might be nice to hold a little competition between my cute little readers.
Also, I am considering having a beta to look over my work, not really sure what people opinions on that would be. I need someone who can deal with sporadic writing ( I know, I know I'm a horrible person) and also help me sift some of my crazier ideas and help me develop my skills as a writer.
Either way, theres a couple of things for you to think about. hope you enjoyed this chapter and I will try and update this within the week. Unfortunately I'm out of town right now on business, but I do have my laptop with me to try and write as I do.
One more thing, on a more personal note, does anybody have any ideas for a hobby involving maintenance? Something I can carry in my bag and simply work on if I get bored? Preferably something mechanical like gears and maybe a few partsy type things? Let me know either by PM or review.
Until then
Peace
