I do not own NCIS only an over active imagination.
As I watch JIBBS videos on YouTube, I found two that are close to my heart as I continue this journey of Jenny and Gibbs. It's a hard decision especially with the two videos and songs that are on repeat on the background as I write.
'Can't stop love', by Darin Zanyar and Tony Nilsson and 'It must have been love', by Roxette.
If you have any suggestions of any JIBBS videos, let me know and I'll give them a try.
Chapter 11 A new meaning
Snap shot: Ziva and Tim looking at each other and then at the letter in Tony's hand.
"What are you doing here Mike?" Gibbs asked looking behind him, hoping in the back of his mind he will see the Director. "What do you know of the Director?"
"Fornell called me when he told me you were in danger," Franks told him. "However, he left out the part where it wasn't you who was in danger but someone you knew. Your own probie." Gibbs shook his head.
"He shouldn't have called you, the Director has a whole agency at her disposal and she chooses Fornell, the FBI to protect her and now you."
"Don't you see that any one of you could have put her in danger," Franks firmly told Gibbs after slapping him on the back of his head.
"Well the danger has past, she can come home now," Gibbs told him. Franks looked at him, trying to see the man he knew months ago but he couldn't, the man before him was another.
"What happened to you, Probie?" Franks asked with complete sincerity. "You demand answers but you're asking the wrong questions. You demand to know and yet you have done nothing to try to figure it out yourself. How long was it until you found out that you had a new wife?"
"I lost my memory, I didn't know," Gibbs shouted at him.
"Do you even care to know, Probie?" Franks shouted right back. "If the judge called you right now and asked you if you wish to annul the marriage to Jennifer Shepard, would you? Would you erase the marriage and forget about it, forget her?" Gibbs shook his head, going around Franks and making his way back to the hospital. If Franks was here and Tobias left him to protect Jenny, that meant Jenny must have been in the hospital all along.
"You said it yourself, you lost your memory," Franks said going after him and grabbing his arm, turning him around and placing both his hands on his shoulder and looking him right in the eyes. "But you remember now, you remember parts of the life you had with Red. The question now Probie is do you want to continue those memories or do you want to forget them and have them simply be a dream?"
"What I want is to know that she is fine, that she is safe and for me to see for myself that she is both." Gibbs whispered to Franks, fighting back tears and trying not to let his emotions show but Franks knew him and he saw the anxiousness, the worry, the hopelessness and despair of a lost man. Franks took a deep breath and shook his head.
"She's not okay Probie," Franks whispered to him, taking another deep breath. "She's not at Medical Way, she's about an hour north."
"Why are you here?" Gibbs shouted to him. Franks took another deep breath, blinking tears that were forming in his eyes away. Franks slowly reached inside his coat pocket, taking out a letter.
Gibbs recognized the handwriting and at the sight of it, he took a step back, shaking his head and taking deep breaths when he saw his name written in the front, Jethro.
"The doctors don't think she's going to make it, Probie," Franks whispered to him. "She wrote this letter early this morning she… she fell into a coma a few hours ago." Gibbs continued to take deep breaths as he saw the letter in Franks' hand being extended to him. At the sight of it, memories of the past few months came back to him. Not only those after the explosion but also of those before.
Gibbs didn't know when he got in the car, he only knows that he heard the door close and when he looked up, Franks was seating beside him in the driver's seat. He looked down at his hands that held the letter Jenny had written him.

Dear Jethro,
I thought I could start a new meaning of letters for us, knowing that the last one I wrote and you received was one of broken… things. I write to you to tell you that I love you. Also to thank you for not accepting 'no' as an answer from me.
Jen

"I hated letters after she left," Gibbs said out loud in the car to no one in particular. "I don't think I told you that she broke it off, telling me she had to do what was best for her, in the form of a letter. I hated her for ending it before I could." Gibbs chuckled but the chuckled was full of pain and anguish.
"I think I wanted to believe Jen and I could work, for the first time in a long time, I was truly happy but I knew it never would. Back then I didn't know it but Jenn did. She saw how I stopped myself from making anything work. Diane was a mistake, I used her to forget Shannon, Rachel too. Stephanie, I used to forget Jen. And now, I have Holly but I know it will never work out, she wants to retire while I want to continue to work… Jen… Jen quit before we could get any deeper. She quit before she could hurt any more than she already was."
"Why did you go after her?" Franks asked out of curiosity.
"I wanted to know, I didn't want to live in the 'what ifs' anymore."
"Do you regret it?" Franks asked. Gibbs kept his eyes on the letter.

Dear Jethro,
Why do you have to be so hard headed? I wasn't going to let McGee resign, he's already being watch as a potential candidate for different positions inside and outside of NCIS.
However, he's still a probie and has a lot to learn. I'll leave the teaching to you and the team but keep in mind that I will be preparing him for what he will face as a possible NCIS Director.
Jen

"I don't think I saw the true potential of Tim until she mentioned it. When I recruited him, I knew he was special and had potential but never Director potential… it wasn't until she put the idea in my mind that I started to see it. The same for Ziva." Gibbs said with a small smile, remembering different letters Jen wrote him. Franks let him talk, not caring if the letters were chronological or not, he was simply listening to a lost man who didn't know what to do.

Dear Jethro,
STOP harassing Ziva! I wouldn't have brought her to NCIS if I didn't believe in her. I wouldn't have place her in your team if I didn't think you had something to teach her and her to you.
She saved my life, Jethro. Two years ago, she saved my life.
I had only been working with her a few months and the concept of having each other's six was foreign to her, she didn't understand the idea and much less the practice. But two years ago when an operation went wrong and everyone had left, she didn't. She risk getting killed and captured to get me and get us out. I had been shot at and took a few bullets… and when I thought that this was it, she surprise me when she appeared.
She told me, 'you have my six… I have yours.'
Please have her six like you have always had mine.

"I wanted to hate her but I couldn't, not after she killed her own brother for me and much less when I found out she had saved Jen years ago." Gibbs shook his head.
"I don't know how she did it," he whispered, flipping the letter around in his hands, still sealed. "Give me another chance… not to give up on me when I did something stupid."
- Months ago
Dear Jethro,
Next time you decide to enter a room with a kid that has a bomb strapped around his chest and holding people hostage, I'll shoot you. What were you thinking? Were you thinking at all? Was anything going through your mind?
I almost let it slip to Ducky of our relationship but he reminded me who I was and who I no longer was. It was a hard pill to swallow but I took it and swallowed it. I trusted your team and I trusted you, even if the things you do sometimes makes no sense to me.
Do me a favor though, please don't do it again.
Jen

"I guess I don't have to ask if you kept out of trouble," Franks told him referring to his retirement in Mexico months ago. Gibbs shook his head.
"She actually got kidnapped a month or so later," Gibbs told him with a cold tone, remembering the call and the hours of not knowing what would happen.
- Months ago
Dear Jethro,
I know, I know, it was a stupid probie mistake and I can tell you I won't do it again but I can't. I'm the Director of NCIS, Jethro, the title holds more targets against it than most NCIS agents. And no I will not quit.
I love you.
I know mentioning the coat trigger your memories of France, (as you find yourself in your basement tonight after checking on me) but it worked, you found me, I knew you would.
If something is ever to happen to me Jethro, I hope you will let me go. I hope that you can remember our second chance and then forget it. I would hate to see you hurt once more because of me. Take care and be careful out there.
I love you,
Jen

"Can you do that Probie, can you forget her?" Franks asked turning to Gibbs after turning off the car. They had arrived to the hospital minutes ago but Franks didn't want to disturb Gibbs flow of stories being told by him. His words letting him know that his Probie did remembered his time with Red.
"I did, didn't I?" Gibbs said his eyes still on the letter. "Someone up there," he said moving his head up but his eyes stayed down, "though wanted me to remember."
"The ball is still in your court, though Probie," Franks told him. "You can walk away, Red has given you the option to walk away and to forget about her. Do you want to, I guess is the question." Gibbs looked at the letter and then put it inside his jacket, shaking his head.
"I don't know Mike," he said getting out of the car but as soon as he did a gun appeared in front of him.
"You have something of ours," the man with the gun said. Gibbs stayed frozen as the man didn't wait and grabbed the letter from inside Gibb's coat pocket and passed it to another man behind him. The man behind him ripped the envelop open and opened the letter.
"I got the room," he said moving towards the hospital, the letter being balled up and thrown to the trash on his way into the hospital.
"Why?" Franks asked from the other side of the car, having a man in front of him with a gun pointed at him as well.
"Business," the man who held him at gun point said.

"DiNozzo," someone shouted behind the agents who were making their way to their car to catch up with their boss and boss's boss. Tony turned around to see Zacks.
"What's going on?" Zacks pulled a letter out of the inside of his pocket and gave it to him. Tony grabbed the letter when he saw the Director's handwriting. He opened the letter reading it once and then once more to make sure he understood the directions. He took a deep breath and pull the keys out of his pocket and handed them to Ziva.
"We're going to need your driving skills," Tony told her and then turned to look at Tim, "and your navigation ones. The Director needs us." Ziva and Tim looked at each other and then at the letter in Tony's hand.
Review if you have a quick second.
