SailorStar9: And, with Chapter 9 up, this is Chapter 10. Just so you guys know, I actually hated the cliffhanger in the end; now we'll never know what happened. Remember guys and girls, reviews are an author's subsistence. And now, without further ado, I present Chapter 10.

Chapter 10: Interlude: Planning

Amy let out a surprised yelp when Carl nipped her neck and then moaned as he licked the bite.

"You have no idea how sexy you look in your doctor's coat." Carl growled. "I'm getting really tempted to just take you right here, right now on your work table."

"Then, do it." Amy whispered huskily, as she made herself comfortable on her table.

"Your wish is my command, dearest 'Oreithya'." Carl muttered and slipped his fingers under her skirt.

"I... totally... missed that." Amy admitted as she tried to regain her breath.

"No kidding..." Carl agreed. Then, he frowned when his hand touched a glass wand. "Ames, is this what I think it is?" he asked warily, picking up the wand.

"Hey, how do you think I got off without you around?" Amy grinned as she straightened her skirt. "My fingers do get tired, you know."

"Looks like someone had fun." Rico joked, seeing the couple approach his squad in the mess hall.

"Johnny...!" Dizzy hissed, smacking her squad leader on the arm. "What they do in their own time is none of our business!"

"Got to admit, she's got your whipped good, LT." Gossard ribbed.

"And just for that, Gossard, the whole squad's undergoing combat training again." Rico glared at the older Corporal, causing the others to groan.

"Gonna go." Amy looked at her watch and kissed Carl on the cheek. "My break's over in ten minutes."

Underground, in the midst of the lava, the Queen Bug was overseeing the next phase of her plans. Her claws flailed when one of the Royal Guard Bug informed her through screeches that their army had taken Oahu, Honolulu, City Hall and SICON HQ.

Nodding slightly, she dismissed the Guard Bug: it was almost time to initiate the next step of her plan, through the Zander Bug, she had found the Ice Soul and she would be stupid to just give up her prize so easily. By capturing the enemy's leader and using the psychic brat as a communication tool, she would demand the Ice Soul to give herself up in exchange for their leader. She knew how her enemy thinks; they'll sacrifice a mere girl just to get their precious leader back.
