I paced back and forth, arms wrapped around my middle, nervous, anxious. What was taking so long? Was it supposed to take this long? She was supposed to be kept in the loop, informed of every change.

"That can't be good for the rug."

I blinked and looked over to my brother-in-law before glancing down to see the trail of ice my pacing had caused. "Sorry."

The other blond shrugged, his eyes watching the door. "There's no need to worry, the hard part's already done."

"I know. I just... I'm more impatient than anything."

Kristoff nodded, throwing a small smile my way. "Do you think they'll be a boy or a girl?" he asked.

I smirked at the thought of it being a girl, of Anna having to deal with a daughter as hyperactive as her. "A girl, perhaps," I answered. "What about you?" I asked the mountain man.

He opened his mouth to reply just as a nursemaid walked out, sweat on her brow, rag in her hand but a tired smile on her face. "Your Majesty, you may come in now."

I nodded as Kristoff stood from his chair that we'd dragged out into the hallway. I allow him to enter the room first as a say thank you to the older woman before following. Lanterns light the bedroom as other maids collect the sweat and blood soaked sheets. The rugged blond is hovering over at the side of the bed, and I manage to hold back my laughter when I hear the normally composed giant of a man cooing.

Stepping over to the other side of the bed, I see Anna looks exhausted. But she's smiling with whatever energy still remains, and in her arms is my gurgling, squeaking niece or nephew.

They're tiny and squishy and pink, and I remembered vaguely a time when Anna looked like that as well. Thick blond hairs adorn the baby's head and they have their father's nose, poor thing. But it's their eyes, when they open just a fraction, that nearly bring tears to mine. They're a mixture of green and blue, from what the limited light will let me see. They're Anna's eyes.

"Elsa, meet Alec," my sister's raspy voice introduces, shifting my nephew - my nephew! - so I can get a better look.

I reach out, looking to the redhead for permission before taking the little tyke in my arms. He's such a handsome baby, so beautiful. "Hello, Alec."

He wiggles a little within his tightly swaddled blanket and I coo at him until he quiets. One of my pale fingers traces his cheek before I reluctantly hand him over to his father, who has been waiting patiently to hold the infant. The smile he wears is one of affection and pride as he leans down and kisses Anna's forehead.

I feel my sister grab my hand and hear her sigh as she leans back into her pillows. She looks like she could fall asleep any moment, but this is probably the most content I've ever seen her. She looks happy. Very, very happy. So am I. Our family has grown, and it's something I never thought we'd have. It's more than I'd ever dared to hope for.

And it's perfect.

Everytime I think I'm done, they pull me back in!

Review please.

I'm out! Peace!
