In Orochimaru base, the Sannin was in pure pain. A doctor runs up. "Lord Orochimaru, you have to take your medicine."

"Shut up you idiot," said Orochimaru. "This drug is useless."

"I can get a stronger dose," said the doctor. Orochimaru glares at the man. He quickly kills the fool for his incompetence.

Kabuto walks out. "That is you third doctor you have killed this week."

"What have you learned?" asked Orochimaru.

"Danzo has been killed," said Kabuto. "It seems he was the instigator of the Uchiha massacre."

"That will be problematic," said a voice.

The air distorts in the room. A person with a black cloak with red clouds and an orange mask appears. "Tobi," said Orochimaru. "Why is the Akatsuki here?"

"I am not here to fight you Orochimaru of the Sannin," said the man. "We need you back in the Akatsuki."

"I did betray you, did I not," said Orochimaru.

"I am aware of that, however these change in circumstance makes it necessary to invite you back with full pardon."

"Kukuku, and what does Leader-sama think of this," said Orochimaru.

"I am a messenger, take it or leave it."

Naruto was in the Hokage office. In front of him was Sarutobi. "You are coming along excellently in your studies," said the Third Hokage. "I think you done for the day in this office."

"Lord Third," said Naruto.

A crow appears. "This is," said Sarutobi. He takes note of the scroll on it's leg. Reading the scroll, the Third Hokage frown. "This is a problem."

"What did Itachi say?"

"Orochimaru is back with the Akatsuki," said Sarutobi. "Anbu bring in Jiriaya."

"You are you going to do?" asked Naruto. "I would infiltrate the base before striking."

"That would be the correct course, but other then Sasuke, Orochimaru had no other target," said Sarutobi. Jiriaya appears a serious look on his face.

"What is the situation, Sarutobi-sensei?" asked the man.

"Read this," ordered Sarutobi. "Thought?"

"We should extract Itachi," said Naruto.

"Are you sure that is wise?" asked Sarutobi. "He is our only ole in the Akatsuki."

"Yes. I would rather lose a mole when there is nothing he do at the moment, then a comrade," said Naruto. "His position is at best on thin ice. At worst a death sentence."

Sarutobi nods his head and the crow flies away. "We need a team to retrieve Itachi," said Sarutobi.

"I have the perfect team," said Naruto. "Me, Hana, Inoichi and Sasuke."

"People who are familiar with Itachi," said Jiriaya. "I don't like that team. It would be too obvious."

"That is the point," said Naruto. "Both me and Inoichi are S class in the bingo book. Sasuke Low A class and Hana is mid A class. We will get the job done."

"I will accept the team as it has been proposed," said Sarutobi.

"I believe Jiriaya should be with us for our last heavy hitter," said Naruto.

"I am sorry Naruto-kun, Jiriaya has his own mission," said Sarutobi. "Anbu bring me, Hana, Inoichi and Sasuke."

The group is seen in the office. "What is the mission, must be important to gather your successor, a clan head a clan heir and heiress?" asked Inoichi.

"Itachi is being brought home," said Sarutobi.

Sasuke's eyes widen. "What are you talking about Hokage-sama?" asked Inoichi. "Itachi killed his whole family."

"He did, but he was played by Danzo into doing it," said Hokage. "There were rumors of the Uchiha clan planning a coup. It was false, but Danzo gave Itachi the orders to terminate his clan.'

"I see," said Inoichi. "His love for the village was that great."

"So all this time. You all knew?" asked Hana.

"Yes," said Naruto. "I was ordered to not tell you due to his position as a spy."

"What has changed?" asked Inoichi.

"Danzo's execution," said Sarutobi. "With what was reveled. Akatsuki might have found out about Itachi. He will be getting a full pardon."

"We not fail," said Naruto.

"What about the rest of you?" asked Sarutobi.

"Hai," the other three replied.

"Naruto is in charge," said Sarutobi.

"Hai."

Itachi was outside a small restaurant. Next to him was Kisame. "So it's time," said Itachi. "Kisame."

Kisame looked at Itachi as the Uchiha had his Sharingan. The Swordsman falls asleep.

In the Akatsuki base a silhouette of several members appears. "Itachi has betrayed us," said a man with purple eyes. "Kakazu, Hidan, Orochimaru."

Yes Leader-sama," said Kakazu.

"Execute Itachi Uchiha," said the man.

"Hai."

Itachi was running through a forest near the Land of Fire. "Hope they sent a team," thought the rouge Uchiha.

"Striking shadow snake hand," said a voice. Several snakes appears crashing into the trees as Itachi dodges.

"So they sent Orochimaru," said Itachi. "Wonder who else.'

"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu," said a deep voice. A dragon made of fire appears hitting Itachi.

The smoke clears and charred log is his place. "The immortal duo," said Itachi. "That might be an issue."

Naruto was leading his team to the meeting point. They looked up and saw explosion in the distance. "Looks like they started," said Inoichi.
"We better hurry.'

"Let's go," said Naruto.

Itachi was having a hard time fighting this many S rank Shinobi. "If it was a one on one I would have won," said Itachi. He coughs up blood. "My sickness is killing me."

"Hay traitor," said Hidan. "I shall smite you for Jashin."

"Amatarasu," said Itachi as black flames are launch from Itachi's eye, blood leaking from his eye lid.

The flames hit Hidan causing him some pain. Itachi quickly goes to decapitate the immortal. He is kicked back by Kakazu. "I don't think so Itachi.'

"Looks like this is the end of me," thought Itachi. "I am not killed by battle, my sickness will."

"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu," said Kakazu.

"Water Style: Water wall," said another voice. A wall of water blocks the attack. Kakazu is kicked back by an earth infused foot. Naruto is standing where Kakazu was. "Itachi you ok.'

"Naruto," said Itachi. "Or should I say Hokage-sama to be.'

"No time for joking," said Inoichi. "I see Orochimaru, but the other two I have heard of."

"Hidan is immortal due to his religion," said Itachi. "Kakazu has five hearts you must kill.'

Naruto looks at Kakazu. "I will handle creepy over here. Itachi you're with me.'

"Hana you and Sasuke will handle Orochimaru," said Inoichi. "I got Hidan."

Hana and Sasuke vs. Orochimaru

"I was hoping to have you join me Sasuke,' said Orochimaru.

"Sorry I don't swing that way," said Sasuke. "You are wanted for betraying the Leaf village, experimentation on Leaf citizens and being creepy. Punishment is execution."

"I thought we could be friends.'

Hana gets next to Sasuke with her triplet nin-kin. "Enough talk," said the Inuzuka. "Water Style: Water Shockwave."

A wave of water materializes out of thin air crashing into Orochimaru. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough.'

Orochimaru blows out a tornado of wind at the two chunins while being dragged by the water. Both chunin jump out of the way. "Fire Style: Firerangan Bullet."

Sasuke forms a Rasengan with fire element. He throws it at the Sannin causing a explosion. "take that," said Sasuke.

Orochimaru appears battered and some of his cloak is torn. "Truly a genius," said Orochimaru. "How I would love that body."

He coughs and a arm appears from Orochimaru throat. Then the rest of him as the Sannin appears unharmed. "That is gross," said Hana. "

"I have no choice but to retreat," said Orochimaru.

Inoichi vs. Hidan

"Hey you blond prick," said Hidan. "I will sacrifice you to Jashin."

"Ninja Art: Mind Insanity jutsu," said Inoichi. Hidan smiles but it turns to pure fear. He starts to scream. Inoichi rushes Hidan and decapitates him. "That was easy.'

The jutsu wears off. "Hey you bastard. That hurt like a bitch," shouted Hidan head.

"How are you alive?" asked Inoichi.

"That all ask me that," said Hidan.

"Anyway, that is good," said Inoichi. "We can get info from you.'

Inoichi seals the head and heads off to Itachi and Naruto location.

Naruto and Itachi vs. Kakazu

"I know of that sickness," said Kakazu. "Itachi, I wonder how long you can last using those eyes of yours."

Itachi throws multiple shuriken at blinding speeds. Naruto goes through hand seal. "Shadows clone jutsu."

The fifty shuriken turn to five thousand. "Earth Style: Earth Wall," said Kakazu erecting a wall of earth.

The shuriken penetrated the wall and riddle Kakazu with holes. "One heart down," said Naruto. "You ok Itachi."

"I don't have much time," said Itachi. "This sickness is tearing me apart the longer we fight."

"We will have Tsunade take a look when we get back," said Naruto. "Let's focus on taking Kakazu out."

"You stronger than before," said Kakazu. "Earth Grudge Fear Jutsu.'

Three mask appears out of Kakazu back connected by black threats. "Those are his hearts," said Itachi. "Be careful. They each have a different element."

"I took out the earth element," said Naruto. "I see Wind, Fire and Lightening. Formidable."

Itachi goes through hand seal. "Shadows Clone explosion.'

A rock behind on of the mask explodes. "Bastard," said Kakazu. "You placed Shadows Clones around the battle field. You two are truly genius."

For once Kakazu was worried. "Wind Style: Rasenshuriken," shouted Naruto as a Wind powered Rasengan is thrown at Kakazu. He tries to escape but Naruto explodes it taking out another hear out.

Itachi opens his eye. "Amatarsu.'

The third heart is burned to a crisp. Itachi collapses. "Itachi!" shouted Naruto.

Kakazu throws smoke pellets on the ground and flee. "We will meet again Kyuubi."

Itachi lays motionless as Sasuke and Hana appears. "Itachi-kun," shouted Hana.

"Hana try to keep him alive," ordered Naruto.

Hana kneels and tries to heal Itachi. "It's too late for me, Hana-chan," said Itachi. "My sickness has spread to my heart.'

"Brother," said Sasuke.

"Sasuke kill me before I pass," said Itachi. "They transplant my eye into your self."

"I can't," said Sasuke. "You did everything to protect those you cared for. I can't just kill you in cold blood."

"This is the only way to get a better set of eyes to protect the Leaf," said Itachi. "Naruto, Inoichi-sensei."

Naruto gets next to his comrade. "You will always be my best friend," said the blond. "What can I do?"

"Both of you protect the Leaf," said Itachi. "Naruto as Hokage and sensei anyway you can.'

"I shall," said Inoichi tear coming down his face. "Our team was my greatest pride and joy."

"Sasuke," said Naruto. "If you want to get stronger to protect you precious people, fulfill Itachi last request. The choice is yours.'

Sasuke takes out a kunai and end Itachi suffering. Sasuke eyes morphs into the Mangakyo Sharingan. "I am sorry my brother, you were meant to be the hero.'

"Hana transplant Itachi eye into Sasuke," said Naruto. "If my student wants it.'

"I will carry on Itachi memories," said Sasuke. "I am ready, Hana-san.'

"Very well," said Hana.

Naruto and his team walked back to Konoha. At the office, Sarutobi frowned. "As a Hokage, I have a classify this mission a failure outside your control."

"I know," said Naruto.

"As your teacher and friend. I am sorry, Itachi did not make it," said Sarutobi. "He will be given a heroes funeral and his name will be etched in the memorial stone."

"Hokage-sama," said Inoichi. "I have the head of a Akatsuki member. Hidan. Permission to personally interrogate him."

"Permission granted," said Sarutobi. "Make him squeal.'

"Hai.'

The leader of Akatsuki was pissed. "We lost Hidan and you two comeback injured. Now we need to find a new member."

"I will look for one now," said Tobi in a jovial voice. "Tobi a good boy.'

"Very well, you will go with Orochimaru," said the leader.

AN: So the battle where short because Kakazu was out matched right from start. One on One Kakazu would fought evenly with Itachi. Add Naruto and you get a one battle. Inoichi destroyed Hidan with his clan jutsu. He was smart to not let the fight drag on for too long. Orochimaru was not invest really in his battle. I think he could have destroyed Sasuke and Hana if he was trying. Let me know what you think.
