Ellie's POV

"What do you mean you can't tell me what it means!" I screeched. I had walked all the way to the big house to have my questions about the prophecy answered and now Chiron isn't telling me anything.

"I'm sorry but if I tell you it may complicate things." He calmly explained.

"The only thing I am permitted to tell you is that there is a war brewing between Nyx and Apollo. Something about daylight savings time. No go on, you both need to go pack. You leave in an hour."

"Wait, where are we going?" Leo asked.

"To find Apollo and Nyx. I have a map that may help, no go!" Chiron exclaimed. He shoved a map in Leo's face and ushered us out the door.

"Well that didn't go as expected." I said.

"Go on and pack, I'll meet you by the entrance in an hour." Leo said before running off.

I stood in front of my bed, looking at all of my belongings I had spread out over it. I had no idea what to wear at a camp, much less a quest where I would be killing monsters. There was only one thing left to do. Go to the forbidden Aphrodite cabin and ask for help.

Truth is, I don't know why the Aphrodite cabin has such a bad reputation. If I weren't a Poseidon kid I'd probably be an Aphrodite one. I took a look at myself in the mirror making sure I looked acceptable and walked over to the Aphrodite cabin.

I knocked on the cabin door and waited for someone to answer. The door flew open and I was met by a flawless looking girl. She gave me the once over before deeming me somewhat acceptable to her standards.

"I'm Drew, and you are?" she asked. She put her weight on one foot, hands on her hips, and raised her eyebrows.

"I'm Ellie, daughter of Poseidon. I was wondering if you could help me." I answered, trying to be just as confident as she was.

"Well, Ellie, since you're pretty and have an ok fashion sense I guess I can help you." She said unsurely. She led me inside and gestured for me to sit down on one of the bunk beds.

"So what do you need help with?"

"I need advice on what to pack for the quest. I'm new to the whole camp thing and it's not working out for me."

"You came to the right place. You see my siblings and I have perfected the art of looking ready to kick ass while also looking ready to walk the runway. Now go on sit down, leave the packing to my siblings because you and I are going to have a spa day. You wouldn't believe what fighting monsters does to your pores." And with that I was ushered into the bathroom, ordered to take a quick shower, shoved into a fluffy lavender robe and forced to sit down in a spa chair next to drew.

"Uh, I only have an hour so if we could just maybe do this when I get back?" I asked looking for an escape route.

"Nonsense, my sisters are packing for you. It'll only be 45 minutes and no offense, but honey you need a facial." She retorted.

And that was the story of how I ended up having a spa day crammed into an hour. I'll admit it was pretty relaxing getting pampered. Drew and I actually got along. At first she came off as a bitch, but that's just her I guess. I ended up getting my nails done after I refused to at first, but Drew used this really soothing voice that made me want to.

As soon as we were done I got up and started to leave almost forgetting that I needed to pack.

"Wait! I need my stuff." I exclaimed.

"Oh, here." I was handed a backpack by one of Drew's younger siblings.

"The backpack changes from that to a bag. It also changes its appearance to match your outfit. We packed your clothes along with some ambrosia and nectar just incase. There's also some armor and weapons in there. Oh and here." She said while handing me a ring with a bow and arrow design and a necklace with an anchor and sword charm.

"They're also weapons, just a bit more accessible. Don't worry about losing them they'll return to you." The little girl finished off.

"I'll walk you out come on." She took my hand and led me out of the cabin. She looked around before saying anything.

"Sorry about Drew, she used her charmspeak to make you stay and have a spa day. No one really talks to her anymore and she gets kind of lonely. She's still a bitch yes, but a more sad one. Don't tell her I told you this, she doesn't like pity." With that being said, the little girl whose named I learned was Lucy, hugged me and wished me good luck.

I ran off to my cabin to say bye to Percy. When I walked in and he was talking to the goat guy. I went over to my desk and pulled out a picture before stuffing it in my backpack.

"Hey Ellie! This is my best friend Grover." Percy said.

"Oh Hey! I'd love to stay but you know I've got a quest thing and all. Bye Perce see you whenever I see you, Love you!" I called out making my way towards the door. Percy walked in front of me, blocking my way

"Whoa, whoa wait. You're leaving today as of right now?" He exclaimed.

"Well duh dipstick." I hugged him one last time before turning around and saying goodbye to Grover.

I had successfully gotten through the front door and taken four or five steps into the pavilion before Percy came back out after me.

"Ok so who's going on the quest with you?" he asked seriously.

"Leo."

"Valdez?"

"No, Leo from State Farm." I replied.

"Don't use sarcasm with me."

"Yes, Leo Valdez. Who else would it be you dolt?"

"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe me!"

"Last time I checked you're not a fire user and the prophecy specifically calls for a fore user. So if you'd excuse me I've got a quest to attend to." I moved him aside and trudged towards the camp entrance.

I saw Leo fidgeting with something in his hands so I decided to scare him. I walked over to him using my ninja powers to stay hidden and stood behind him. I whispered, "Boo." That sent him flying. He jumped up at least six feet into the air.

"Don't do that! I could've died!" He clutched his heart and pretended to breathe heavily.

"Sorry, but come on it was funny!" I defended.

"Yeah, yeah. Lets go." He led the way out of the forest and onto the road where we started walking towards the city.
