~Epilogue~
A few months pass and Dawn's memories haven't surfaced. She quickly learns the names of the friends again. She still has a passion for competing in contests. On a warm summer day, Ash and Dawn were having a picnic on a hill. They were both sitting on a classic red and white checkered picnic blanket.
"What kind of food did you bring?" Ash asks Dawn, eyeing at the brown basket beside her.
"Sandwiches, orange juice, heart-shaped salami, a salad," Dawn answers, blushing when she said "heart-shaped salami."
"Heart-shaped salami?" Ash laughs and Dawn slaps him on the shoulder.
"Hey! Stop laughing!" She starts to giggle too.
"Any poffins?" Ash asks.
Dawn takes out a bag and opens it, revealing a lot of poffins. They both take out their Pokemon. The Pokemon immediately start eating the poffins.
A cool breeze blows into Dawn and she takes another look at her hair.
"Ash, why is my hair gray?"
"It's because of the 'incident'"
Everyone refers to it as the incident. Dawn always wanted to know what happened, but she would start crying whenever people told her.
"Can you tell me? I won't cry this time," Dawn says.
Ash tells her the whole story and Dawn was on the verge of tears, but calmed herself. After the story ended, they just lay there watching the sunset.
"Are you feeling okay?" Ash sits up.
"I'm fine," Dawn also sits up.
Dawn quickly leans over and kisses Ash's cheek.
"Thank you," Dawn silently says.
"For what?"
"Telling me what happened."
Ash smiles and they hug.
"Would you like another sandwich?" Dawn offers.
"No, I want a piece of heart-shaped salami," Ash says.
Dawn giggles and offers him a piece of salami.
"Thank you. Can I call you 'Salami Lady?" Ash teases.
"Sure! Only if I can call you 'Bob,'" Dawn replies.
They both laugh again. They sat next to each other as they watched the sun fall behind the mountains, their hands entwined with each others.
