Centipede.

"YOU MONSTER!" A large crystal spike snaked its way around Topaz nefore moving like a whip to try and smash false diamond but he simply dodged, vanishing and reappearing somewhere else. "They were trying to escape i had to provide incentive to stop them, killing one of the younglings seemed optimal, but then your no good father actually managed to hurt me and that was just inexcusable." The crystal spike suddenly had three more joining it all coming from Steven's back as he leapt at him. "He'll pay for this." Topaz grit his teeth as he charged, Diamond however wasn't going to take that at face value. 'Come on please!'

He stuck his hands into the earth and spread his senses outward looking for them feeling the earths crust move the wind blow the electricity in between atoms any kind of matter or energy he could interact with but he could only find faint traces of something human and yet not so much. Diamond sighed angrily, either they were dead or something was interfering with his ability to find them, maybe, growl made him turn his head, lion was back. "And where were you earlier?" Lion stuck his nose to the ground and began sniffing around. "Oh i get it, no magic the old fashioned way. Mode change Purple diamond."

Steven roared in rage as he used his four new limbs to launch himself like a slingshot and managed to hit Fake Topaz in the back. Topaz himself cocked back before the jet ports on his leg fired at full speed kicking the flying Fake away at high speed sashing him through the rock towers and causing dozens to collaspe in the wake of the destroyed segments. Each nodded to the other as they ran after him. "You think i should use them?" Steven shook his head. "No Diamond said using powers you aren't used to or had a chance to practice could drain our fusion time even faster, we need to outlast him not try to quickly overpower him." Topaz nodded. "Got it no mode change, no gem change, you can do it can't you?" Steven nodded as Fake diamond pulled himself out the rubble.

He was breathing heavily as he glared at them with a crazed look in his eyes. "Are you done?!" Steven looked at him as the spikes changed gaining barbs on them that clenched and moved as they rearranged changing and segmenting, they looked like the body of a cetipede. "Mode Change, Red diamond.

Diamond scanned his surroundings as he floated over them seeing through as many spectrums as he could. Normally Purple diamond was handicapped, while it could detect in ways other diamonds, even he couldn't with his magic sight, many of its tracking and hunting abilities were based on sight which as a blind gem Blue had no hope of using correctly. Luckily their fusion gave him back that utility, or else this might be hard. It was easy to back trace their path even if Topaz's beam had liquified most of the path they'd taken. He found the robot and the stone path and began scanning. "fifty G's of force in enough to crush pretty much anything a certain size but why can't i see any signs of that?" Diamond scanned around the part where Connie's body should have smashed through the path but their was no evidence that a human body was involved.

"He misinterpreted what happened, he didn't smash Connie just the air around her, and the increase in gravity compromised the stone structure, he messed up." Diamond scanned even more and calculated what such a thing would cause to happen to Connie. She would have fallen but that close to the cliff side there should have been something for her to grab onto. "Bingo." A part of the cliffside covered in human cells blood from the red color and skin fragments. Diamond followed the trail seeing how the slight blood left a small train leading to a small opening in the cliffside. "Good girl." The cliffside opening was small barely enough to squeeze a small person through but a little shape shifting allowed him to manage.

"Connie?" Now that he was close he immediately used magic sight and found her. "On no." It wasn't to bad but she was hardly in good health, he arm looked dislocated and her body had several hairline fractures from the gravity crush Fake diamond had used and her body was exhausted like an adrinaline crash after a caffine overdose. He couldn't move her like this and Greg was probably worse off so he needed to find him fast, but Connie wouldn't be able to support her own body even if she was awake and healing was out of the question for now. Alright them, that left one option. Diamond mode changed into a white diamond and slowly disconnected the atoms of his body seemingly melting and flowed over Connie leaving her mouth uncovered while he enveloped and took control of her body.

Precursors could change and alter their atomic stucture in order to eliminate weaknesses they'd learned through practice it was what allowed them to move their gems and on Diamond's level to mode change. It was only one of the few components that allowed for it a physical one at that went beyond the simpler gem shape shifting. Diamond quickly popped her shoulder back inot place and was thankful for him understanding of human anatomy and he reconfigured himself to allow Connie's body to move. Diamond quickly stood up and ran out the cave phasing through the rock and mode changed, instead of exploding and reforming though he simply allowed his form to ripple and change as he slowed his desent and a purlpe Diamond Connie quickly began scanning for Greg.

Steven grunted as he slammed into the rocks behind him causing cracks to erupt from both the rock and his body. "Dang it." Topaz landed next to him as Fake diamond smirked. "He just keeps getting stronger, every hit he lands makes him tougher, what is he drawing from?" Topaz scoffed angrily, Precursors drew from emotion in order to increase their power, what emotion was he drawing from then, anger? Couldn't be that smug look on his face said that was wrong. Sadness? Yeah he doubted that. Compassion? Well Topaz wouldn't hold his breath on that one. All he could feel was that smug self-satisfied feeling that puffed out his chest.

Wait a second. 'Steven.' The gem golem looked at him shocked. 'He's drawing from pride, it makes sense doesn't it, it drops when we hit him, it increases when we retreat or get hurt. He's channeling his smugness into power.' Steven got up regrowing his Cetipede pieces. 'So that means-' they both smiled as Fake diamond drew closer at a leisurely pace. "Let's bruise his ego"

Greg groaned as he felt himself floating in nowhere like he was being carried in a river, he felt water rush past his face and he sputted trying to stay afloat. Everything wither hurt or was numb and even through the haze that was his head he could tell moving was useless. Out the corner of his eye though he saw something approaching him. It looked like an armored person except small about Connie's height and was covered in purple armor that only showed the figures mouth and nose. He felt himself being lifted out the water and felt a strange energy flowing through him just like Steven's healing spit just less gross. "Don't worry Greg, i got you." He pasped lightly as he was lifted inot the air as the figure flew. "Diamond?" The figure nodded as he couldn't smile right now.

"dont worry Steven Topaz and I'll take care of things." Greg looked at him confused. "Who?" Diamond set them back on the ground and exhaled heatily being careful as he guided Connie's movements. "Our fusion of course." Greg chuckled. "Of course, gem magic and all that."

Steven smirked as he landed on fake diamond's head and started slapping him. "Stop it!" "Never! Prepare to be annoyed!" Steven started doing everything he could to distract and annoy him as he and Topaz fought biting scratching and even drooling all over him Fake diamond could feel his power dropping fast, they were making a fool out of him. "ENOUGH!" He tried blasting them away but their own gravity powers held them in place. He was starting to get desperate. 'Come on think thinki can't take the two of them alone, i need a distraction, i need to even my odds, I need, thats it!' Fake Diamond backed away quickly channeling as much power as he could into speed. He smashed Steven into the rocks behind them causing his gem form to break severly and Steven had to let go. "Steven!" That was right Topaz and his foolish compassion.

Fake Diamond immediately dove into the ground his transversal no where near as smooth as a pure white diamonds but it was enough to get where he was going.

"dang it we need to help them." Surprisingly it was Jasper who said that. "And do what get ragdolled again?!" Of all people Garnet was to one to say that. "We don't stand a chance against him onyl they do, we have to sit this one out." Jasper grumbled a rumble in her throat and in the ground. Fake diamond burst from the ground and faster than even Garnet could react grabbed Jasper and Lapis. When they did react the gems and Peridot were blasted back by a gravity well before being lifted and smashed down into the ground for good measure. "You'll do nicely." Both screamed in pain before going limp like Peridot did as they started to glow white light. "Get away from them!" Steven fired an arrow at him but Fake diamond smirked intentionally moving the two captives in front of him.

Steven reacted fact curving the arrow around them keeping them safe, but making it miss completely. "What do you need Jasper and Lapis for?!" Topaz felt a cold chill run down his spine as he brought the two clower together their bodies merging and growing. "I dont need either, i need Malachite!"

I hope i foreshadowed this enough after all Diamond split Opal in half without poofing her who's to say he can't do the reverse.
