Ashura clamped a hand over his mouth as he felt bile rise in his throat. He had to turn his head in order to keep himself from losing his breakfast at the sight of the blood leaking from the open cut on Fai's hand.

Wounds happened during training, and the one the child had accidently given himself was nothing serious, but the king couldn't stomach the sight of blood.

Not since the recent nightmares…

Surprisingly Fai didn't cry. He didn't even seemed fazed by the fact that he was bleeding all over the place. He cared more about the fact that Ashura looked like he was about to pass out.

"My king?" Fai let his hand fall to his side before taking a step closer.

"A-are you all-alright?" Ashura swallowed hard and looked back at the boy in front of him. There was definitely more blood then before… and he was pretty sure he was going to pass out.

"What's wrong? Ashura-ou... you look sick…"

The king was pretty sure that he could hear the liquid falling on the ground with a sickening patt patt patt. He took another step back and tried his very best to keep his voice even when he called out for the guards. As they approached, and he was sure Fai was going to be looked after, he allowed himself to turn around completely.

He was barley keeping himself from gagging. "Please escort Lord Fai to the infirmary to have his hand looked at…"

A few of the guards bowed and put a hand on Fai's shoulder as they led the very worried looking blonde away. The other two came on either side of their king. "Your majesty. You look like your about to drop."

"I'm a—felling a bit squeamish..." He no doubt looked like a fool in front of the guards. What kind of king was afraid of a little blood?

"We'll get you inside sire."

"Thank yo—" Ashura lost it when he turned around to see the remnants of the little training accident, his vision went black and he was out before he even hit the ground.

Fai sat next to Ashura's bed sniffling quietly. He felt really bad for making the king faint. The nice nurse had told him that it he was going to be just fine, but it wasn't normal to just fall over was it?

It had been nearly an hour and Ashura hadn't so much as moved…

Another tear streamed down his cheek and fell on his bandaged had. If he had just been more careful with the short sword this never would have happened. What if when Ashur woke up he was mad? Fai wasn't sure he could handle it if the only person in the castle that he really trusted was mad at him…

He would be all alone then…

The tears started coming faster now. What if the king was so mad that he sent him back to the tower all by himself? Or if he never woke up?

The nurses were just watching as the blonde child started to cry harder. he had wanted nothing to do with them the entire time he had been waiting, he didn't even want the sucker they offered him… they weren't quite sure what to do with Fai since he was so sensitive, but it was hard to just watch him get more and more worked up.

Ashura heard Fai crying. He heard Fai crying before he opened his eyes to stare at the white ceiling above him. Looking to the side he saw the blonde had curled up in a chair next to his bed and was shaking with soft sobs.

Memories of the training session flooded his mind and he tried to sit up. "Does your hand hurt little one?"

The poor thing must have needed stitches.

Fai looked up to see that the king had pushed himself onto his elbows and was watching him with a concerned gaze.

"Yo-your're alive!" he whipped the tears from his cheek and practically launched himself into Ashura's bed. "I'm sorry I made you sick! I promise I didn't mean it!" He felt Fai burry his face in his neck and start to cry again.

"It is not your fault child. You are the one I am worried about, how is your hand." The king's own hand tangled into the messy blond mop of hair.

"F-fine… so you're not mad at me?"

"No. Why would I be mad at you?" For years he had been kept up by terrible dreams of rivers of blood… Even his own blood made him queasy.

"You fell over because of me…"

"No child. It's not your fault. Just a reaction I can't help." Fai pulled back so that his blue eyes met Ashura's gold ones. Carefully the king wiped away the tears that were still clinging to the boy's cheeks while giving him a warm smile.

"You promise?"

"On all of Celese little one."

He ended up carrying Fai to the kitchens to get some sweets before going to his office. While he filled out paperwork the blonde slept on the couch, all that worrying had really warn him out.
