March 20th year 20XX Misaki Takahashi the princess of the Usami Kingdom, and wife of the second prince Usami Akihiko gave birth to twins this morning at 2:27 a.m. Misaki sighs and holds his son in his arms, gently rocking him back and forth. This seems to be the only way to get the little bundle to sleep peacefully. He lets out a content sigh and nuzzles his face into the newborns body before looking over at his husband and smiling. His daughter is fast asleep in the crook of Akihiko's arm, as well as Akihiko right on the couch they put in the waiting room. Being 8 and 1/2 months pregnant is what brought them this peaceful moment.
Misaki gave an annoyed huff, due to the C-section he was not allowed to eat any solid foods or sit up straight or leave his bed. He had stopped rocking the child in his arms and it woke up quickly. Starting to scream at the top of it's lungs. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He began to rock him again, but the crying continued. Waking his younger daughter, and earning a shrill set of tears from her as well. Akihiko jumped, the baby had screamed right in his ear. Fortunately enough he was at full enough attention to realize what was going on. He walked next to the bed and pressed the call button for a nurse.
"Usagi, you don't have to do that!" Misaki half whispered and half yelled. "Misaki, I think they might be hungry or need a diaper change." The princess frowned and felt his sons diaper, that felt honestly fine. Then his stomach, which seemed a little tender. The nurse came in with what looked like everything they kept for babies. Toys, diapers, bottles, 10 different kinds of formula. You name it this woman had it. "Ano ma'am? You don't have to treat us in a special manner you know?" She stood up straight and began to make the bottles, Akihiko watching her extra carefully. "So do you have any ideas on the names yet?"
Both Men looked at each other as the nurse handed each of them a bottle. "Ano... we're not sure yet." The woman sighed and shook her head. "I honestly thought that most people came up with names about 6 months into the pregnancy." Misaki whimpered in response to that as he gently placed the bottle in his sons mouth. "Now make sure to burp them every ounce or so!" Akihiko nodded in response and made a "go ahead and leave" gesture towards the nurse. When she left, as he was feeding his daughter, the older man leaned forward and kissed Misaki. With a smile he pulled away and shook his head. "You look so tired." The boy giggled and kissed him as well. "So do you have any name ideas Usagi-san?" Akihiko took a thoughtful look and leaned against the wall. Pulling the bottle out of the little girls mouth and patting her back. "How about... Chiharu?" The brunette gave a contented sigh. "Yes that's good. Do you think we could give our son a greek name?" The man nodded, the sun coming from the window making his hair shinier than usual. "You want to honor your heritage?" Misaki nodded and both men put the bottles back into the babies mouths. "How about Spiro?" Akihiko nodded in approval. "Chiharu Usami, and Spiro Usami. Those do have a nice sound to them." They kissed and agree'd with each other, the babies now named 1000 spring and Spirit.
The family stayed in the hospital for 6 nights, before they were finally released from the hospital. During this time they were taught the basics of infant child care. Misaki had already practiced so everything they taught him he already knew how to do. Akihiko however did not really understand anything other than how to hold the baby, feed it, and of course to put it on its back to sleep***. The last test was to put the children in their car seats, Misaki was to put Chiharu in hers and Akihiko had to do the same for Spiro. "Misaki does this look right?" He pointed to Spiro, who was fast asleep in the little recliner like object the head rest making sure nothing bad happened. "You forgot this part." He pointed to a large buckle between the infants legs. "He'll slip out if you don't fasten that correctly." The man nodded and began to search for the parts that went together with that one. "Misaki I can't find them." The princess sighed, being a new Mom was going to be hard work.
Chiharu fortunately enough was fast asleep in her car seat as well, having been strapped in for a while. Misaki went over to Akihiko and finished his job, showing him exactly what went where and where it might have been when it was hiding. "Usagi-san. do you know when we're going to get the birth certificates?" Akihiko shook his head in response. "No, they said since they are part of the royal family the birth certificates needed a lot of documentation. It might not be until they are a year old until we get them." Misaki nodded in response and looked one last time at the information tags on the beds his children slept in.

Akihiko looked as well, smiling at how his children had two last names they could choose between. With that he looked at the car seat he was carrying, his daughter looking at him with grayish blue eyes*. "Okay let's go home." Misaki grabbed Spiro and in a smooth motion they headed for the door, the adventure of their family would begin as soon as the sun started shining on their faces.
Once home, the men wanted more than to sleep and it appeared as though the kids would not wake up anytime soon. They quickly and gently scooped them from their car seats, then gently laid them in their bassinets* which the maids were so kind to set up. Then hand in hand headed off to bed, that was until Chiharu spat out her pacifier and begin to scream her little head off. Both men looked at each other and sighed, being new parents was going to be hard yet they knew in the long run all of it would be worth it.
15 months had passed that time (1 year 3 months) Chiharu had platinum blonde hair just like her fathers now, and Spiro was still sporting the dark brown locks. Akihiko was sipping a cup of coffee when his son came running towards him at full speed, crashing his head into the table and falling backwards. The child started to cry before he even hit the ground. "Oi Spiro, I told you not to run in the house." He knelt down to the kid and picked him up, inspecting the bump on his forehead that would definitely bruise later. "Come on." The man began to carry the little boy towards the fridge, Chiharu deciding to follow closely behind. Akihiko pulled out a small tiger from the freezer, Spiro's special icepack. Chiharu had one just like it in their as well, only hers was a small elephant.
The moment Akihiko pressed the ice cold object against the bump, Spiro began to scream. "MAMA MAMA!" He cried louder and louder. "MAMA MAMA!" Obviously he did not like the cold object. Misaki or Mama to his children ran downstairs immediately. "What's wrong Spiro?" He took the crying boy from his husband and began to gently rock him, giving a scornful look at Usagi who was standing their innocently with the ice pack. Then looked at the little boy, who had now calmed down to sniffling seeing the bump on his forehead. "Baby... Daddy was trying to help you." He shook his head quickly. "COLD!"
Chiharu tugged at Misaki's pants, reaching up for a hug. Misaki reached down and grabbed both of his children hugging them tightly before putting them down. "Usagi-san... I think I want to discuss something important with you. Would you mind if we called my brother and his wife to babysit?" Akihiko gently shook his head. "That's perfectly fine Misaki, in fact their was something I wanted to talk to you about as well."
Okay guys that's it for this chapter (next one will have another time skip and will start a new pregnancy with of course a very long lemon/ perhaps I'll throw in an awkward moment as well X3) Now for the notes so that you can better understand some parts of the story! A C-Section is a procedure that basically the doctors make an incision where the pelvis and stomach meet in order to remove an unborn child. This is a highly common method of giving birth, however is not usually recommended unless needed.
Putting a baby on it's back to sleep prevents the occurrence of SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Bassinets are tiny cribs that have the mattress much higher up than a regular crib. These are made for infants from age 0 to 3 months, it is much safer to put a newborn into one of these than in a crib. Spiro and Chiharu have 2 last names because Misaki never changed his name when he married Akihiko, therefore the birth certificates show both last names.
The reason their information tags do not include eye color is due to the fact that most infants are born with eyes that have a grayish blue pigment. The color does not start to show until about 2 and 1/2 months of age (at least for my nephew it did)

The kids call their dad Usa (short for Usagi) because from when they were born they had mostly heard Usagi instead of Dad or Daddy.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this pregnancy and please send me review or telling me how the next one should go, what cravings Misaki should have, and of course suggestions for the gender. Also to the few of you who gave me name suggestions, thank you very much your names (although I did not choose them for these 2) have been put into consideration for the next child to be born.
