A/N: Okay, this chapter deviates from the norm. This is a collection of 7 drabbles that take place on the same night. I thought about uploading them as separate chapters but then I figured that it would make more sense if I put all these in the same chapter. There will be no couple disclaimers for this chapter. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I still do not own Syphon Filter.

Syphon Filter Love Drabbles
Reminiscing On a Night Out

Stone's Wife

It was not very often that the senior staff got together outside of work, but when they did, they got to know each other a little more.

"Did y'all know I was married once?" Stone caught everyone by surprise.

"Yep, back in the early 70's I was sent into the Ukraine to carry out a DPE. That's where I met her – Katrina, pretty as a postcard. I smuggled her back with me and married her for her citizenship."

He then became somber, "Then those commies came and took her back to the homeland. I've never seen her since that day."

Until We Part

"I too, have a lost love," Mujari began. "Her name was Sabrina, she was the reason why I became a pacifist. She was the kindest soul you could have ever met. She preached non-violence until the very end."

The story became harder to tell for him, "She was shot at a peaceful demonstration. I wanted to kill the man who did that to her, but she would not let me. She was at peace. I live by her example now. I will not spread hate anymore."

Teresa raised her glass, "To Sabrina, for helping you become a damn good doctor."

Mountain Story

"I don't have any good stories to tell," Teresa informed everyone almost apologetically.

"Unless you count this crush I had in the 90's. Back when I was an ATF agent, I was on an assignment in Montana when I was caught by some NSA agents. I was saved by this rugged, handsome agent. He was kinda stubborn, but he had this strange appeal. I ended up working for him on and off and he was really stiff and he didn't know how to take a joke. Seriously–"

"Can we change the subject?" Gabe asked, flushed while Lian was laughing.

Dirt on Hargrove

"Well why don't you tell us about Hargrove?" Teresa prodded.

"What's there to tell?" Gabe shrugged. "I never worked with anyone so closely before, let alone a woman. I was probably overwhelmed and I needed someone, I think she did too. I don't want to sound like a cheap romance movie, but we were looking for love in all the wrong places."

"Here, here," Lian agreed, her dislike of the woman becoming apparent. Everyone knew why but they kept quiet.

Teresa was unsatisfied, "Is that it? You didn't see any other appeal in her?"

"She was blonde, I like blondes."

The Alternative

"There was one thing that bothered me," Gabe continued. "Ellis."

"Wasn't he the agent that was killed in Costa Rica during the Syphon Filter fiasco?" Teresa asked.

He confirmed her inquiry, "We were recruited into the agency together, we became close." He paused, "He was in love with her."

"What?" Lian blurted out. "He was in love with Hargrove? How do you know?"

"After she left, the energy drained from him," Gabe explained regretfully. "The night before the Costa Rica mission, he told me. I promised I would help him retire find her when he came back from the mission."

Secrets

As much as Lian wanted to contribute to this conversation, she could not.

She left a husband back in China.

She was in love with Gabe.

But mentioning either of these facts could strain the close relationship she had with her partner. They've been partners for about ten years, known each other for longer. What would he think of her?

Besides, how could she confess to Gabe when she left her husband behind? If she fell out of love with one man, what would prevent her from falling out of love with another?

Her secrets were better kept to herself.

Night's End

Gabe and Lian were the only ones left after the rest of their group departed. They picked up the check and left the bar as they usually do.

"Your place or mine?" Lian asked Gabe.

"I have HBO, I think they have 'V for Vendetta' this month," he simply replied.

"I've always wondered how that movie is."

Every Friday when they were not working, the two of them would go to one of their apartments and watch a movie, play a game or just sit around and talk. They loved spending their off-time together, and for them, that was enough.
