Ok everyone, this might be the last chapter of this story. I think I finally wrapped up everything that I felt I left hanging. So here ya go!

"JJ, Garcia!"

JJ sighed when she heard Mellody's panicked call. Not again. She looked, exhaustedly, at Garcia, who looked like she was going to burst with excitement.

"What's wrong, Mels?" Garcia called, moving over to the door and opening it slightly. "Oh!" she squeaked.

"What's wrong?" JJ asked, taking another sip of champagne and moving to the door. Garcia opened the door wider, and then gasped at what she saw.

Mellody was standing in the middle of the room, a sleek white gown falling gracefully down her small frame. White tool-like material drifted down from the empress waist, and sheer, transparent fabric covered her shoulders. She looked exactly like what JJ thought a Greek goddess would look like.

But then JJ saw her head, and she understood why Mellody was freaking. Mellody's usually calm straight hair had chosen the wrong day to frizz out into an unmanageable mess.

JJ shook her head. "You went to sleep with your hair wet, didn't you?"

Mellody nodded. "I was so tired, I just fell asleep."

Garcia was already in the room and ushering Mellody to a chair, a new glass of Champagne in her hands. "Here, sweetie. We'll take care of you. Just sit and drink this." She forced the glass into Mellody's hand. As Mellody took it, her phone buzzed. She glanced at it, and JJ watched as Mellody visibly calmed, and sent out a text. Garcia had started rushing around, looking for hair supplies. "JJ, I need you over here to help me with her hair!" she cried franticly.

JJ laughed and set down her glass. "Really, Garcia. Your acting like it's your wedding and not Mellody's"

"Ok, so I'm a little freaked over my best friend's wedding, but it's only 'cause she's not freaking!" she turned on Mellody. "Why aren't you Freaking!?"

Mellody laughed. "I don't know. Guess I just have a calm demeanor." Mellody's phone buzzed in her hand again and she looked at it, and then quickly sent out another text.

JJ frowned. "Calm demeanor? Mellody, last week you were freaking out about your father having a cold. A common cold."

Mellody flushed. "Well, that was just pre-wedding jitters. I'm fine." Her phone buzzed again, and Mellody read the message, biting her lip.

"What was that?"

JJ and Mellody looked at Garcia, who was staring at the bride.

"What was what?"

"That look you just had…" Garcia stalked towards Mellody, who looked uncomfortable. "You only bit your lip when you're trying not to laugh."

"Oh, uh, I ju-just thought JJ's comment was funny." Mellody said, flushing. Her phone buzzed again, and she glanced at it nervously.

"Or," JJ said, closing in on Mellody. "It has more to do with who your texting!" She quickly snatched the phone away, smiling at Mellody's protests. Garcia came over and read over her shoulder as JJ scrolled through the Messages.

SR: You're freaking out aren't you?

MR: Yeah, kinda.

SR: Well stop! You're going to make a beautiful bride.

MR: lol I bet the groom will be more beautiful.

SR: lol yeah sure he will

MR: lol!

SR: Wait! I didn't mean that I was going to be beautiful.

MR: lol yeah right. You're going to be the prettiest princess at the ball.

SR: …

MR: Spence?

SR: sure I'll be the prettiest princess,

MR: O.o

SR: but you'll be the stunning queen.

And then another message came through.

SR: I made you blush, didn't I?

"Whoa!" JJ laughed. "That was quite a line!"

"I wonder if he's trying to butter her up for tonight." Garcia said.

"What do you guys mean, butter me up for tonight?" Mellody asked, reaching for her phone. Garcia held it away from her.

"Mells, you can't tell me you don't know what tonight is!" JJ asked.

"JJ, with the way those two act around each other, every night is probably like their wedding night!" Garcia whispered.

Mellody flushed. "Oh, you guys mean…" she trailed off, her face getting brighter by the second. JJ and Garcia nodded.

"Well, actually, we never- um, well we didn't do… that."

JJ and Garcia stood there staring, but then JJ started to chuckle. "That's funny, Mellody. Good one." She continued to laugh, really enjoying the joke, while Mellody just looked down, embarrassed.

Garcia gasped and put a hand on JJ shoulder. "I don't think she's joking."

JJ stopped laughing. She looked at Mellody seriously. "Yo- you're kidding, right? How have you two not done it yet?"

Mellody just continued to look down, still flushing. Suddenly it dawned on JJ.

"Oh, you've haven't…" she trailed off. Mellody nodded.

"Never?!" Garcia gasped.

Mellody nodded again, looking like a tomato.

"Oh, well, um Ok," JJ suddenly felt incredibly uncomfortable.

Mellody sighed. "Can you guys just help me with my hair?"

Reid was panicking. The ceremony was only an hour away, and he had misplaced the white rose for his tux. And the ring. And Mellody's family was late. And on top of it all, his tie had a stain.

Gripping his phone tightly in his hand, in case Mellody texted him back, and his tie in the other, Reid walked to the bathroom. Maybe he could sponge the stain out. He grabbed a paper towel that was just lying around and wet it slightly.

"Reid."

Reid jumped a foot in the air, splashing water all over the tie. Reid turned and gave panicked look at Morgan that was half accusatory.

Morgan chuckled. "I thought it was the bride who was supposed to freak out."

"Cold feet are extremely common for both the bride and groom."

"You've got cold feet?"

"No, but cold feet is really just doubt and fear caused by nerves. I was just trying to tell you that nerves are common-"

"Ok, ok. A simple 'no' would have worked." Morgan laughed, and he grabbed the now soaking wet tie.

"Well that's never going to dry before the ceremony."

"It's not?"

"Nope. Guess we'll have to find something else."

Reid groaned. "Where am I going to find a new tie?"

Morgan looked Reid over, then reached up to his own neck and removed the bowtie that was there. He held it out to the groom. "Use this."

Reid's eyes grew wide and he quickly tied the tie crookedly. "Thanks, Morgan" he said. Then he turned and began to fix his hair.

No problem, man." He watched as Reid flipped his hair this way and that, trying to comb it out of his eyes. "Why don't you just cut your hair? Then it would stop flopping all over the place."

"Mellody likes it long. She says she likes to-"Reid froze and looked at Morgan, face bright red. "Um, never mind."

"Dude, way too much information."

"Yeah sorry."

Morgan just shook his head. "So are you chill now?"

"Not really, no."

"Would you just calm down? What do you have to be nervous about?"

Reid was quiet. But then he said, "what if we're moving too fast."

"Fast? Reid you two have known each other for three years!"

"Yeah, but.-"

"No buts! Do you love her?"

"Yes."

"Does she love you?"

"Yes,"

"Then that's all that matters."

Reid looked like he wanted to respond, but he just shook his head and went back into the sitting room and sat down. "It's just-"Reid shook his head again. "I'm- scared."

"Scared? Of what?"

"That I'll lose her."

"Reid you won't lose her. She's here to stay."

"I know, but I'm still worried. Lately I've been having nightmares."

"Again?"

"Not about work. About her. I come home, and she should be there, but she's gone. I look and look, buts he's gone, and it just feels like she's been taken from me. And I just feel lost."

"Reid, there's nothing in this world that could take Mellody from you. I think if anything tried, she might tear down heaven itself fighting it. And if it somehow did take her, none of us would rest until we got her back."

Reid nodded, knowing Morgan was right.

And then he jumped as his phone rang. He glanced at the screen, smiled, then answered. "Hey."

"Hey." He could hear the smile in her voice.

"How are you?"

"I'm ok. Just nervous."

"Don't be. That's my job. Your job is to walk down the aisle, bring people to tears; you know normal bride stuff."

Morgan rolled his eyes. "Smooth line Romeo." Reid waved him away...

"Fine fine, I'm leaving. Just came to tell you that you left you left this downstairs," Morgan place the head of single white rose with a pin attached. "And the ring bearer has your ring."

Reid gave him thumbs up.

"Is that Morgan?" Mellody asked from the phone. "Tell him to get over here and get his girlfriend. She's freaking out."

Reid relayed the message to his friend, and Morgan chuckled.

"I bet she is." He turned to leave, shaking his head. "You'd think this was her wedding" Reid heard him mumble as he left.

Reid rolled his eyes. "He's on his way."

"Good. I love her, but Penny is driving me insane." He heard someone complaining in the background, and Mellody said, "I'm not freaking out because there is nothing to freak out over. Everything is going to go without a hitch. So chill your beans!"

Reid laughed. "Oh Mells. Don't be so hard on her." He told her.

"If I'm not freaking out enough for her, she can show me how it's done at her own wedding."

"Which hopefully won't be far off."

"We can only hope."

Suddenly, there was a scuffle on Mellody's side of the phone, and Reid heard Mellody cry out angrily, Then JJ's voice cut through Mellody's complaints. "Reid, Mellody has to finish getting ready. So she will see you in half an hour." and with that she hung up.

Reid stared at the phone until JJ's words finally sank in. half an hour. The Wedding!

And in a flash, he grabbed the flower-thing (all the knowledge he had in his funny mind and he still couldn't place the name for it) and quickly exited the room.

Mellody jogged- if that's what the odd little run she was doing could be called- down the hallway to the front of the church, Garcia and JJ at her side. There, the line of people began to file in to the quiet piano music. Pacabel's canon, she was pretty sure. It was funny, when she and Reid had picked out music, it had seemed so important. Now everything was just a vague blur. She took a deep breath, and her father came towards her.

"Hey there, squirt." He smiled at her. "How you doing?"

"Umm, a little nervous. Seriously wishing we had just gone for the wedding in Vegas. Married by Elvis."

"Your Mother probably would have had a conniption fit."

"I know"

Suddenly, the music drifted softly in to a wedding march, and the brides maids began to file in on beat. Mellody's breathing hitched.

"Alrighty, Mells. You ready."

Mellody didn't trust her voice, so she just nodded. He gripped her arm tight and, as soon as her cue came around, they began their walk down the aisle.

The congregation stood, and Mellody looked down, blushing.

The room looked amazing. The pews were covered with a white lacy fabric, and white petals littered the floor. At the front of the church, looking just as amazing and beautiful as she had thought he would was Reid.

Mellody focused on him as she walked down the aisle. She barely noticed the crowds on either side rising as she walked, or Morgan standing next to Reid, or Penny and JJ standing on her side. All she saw were those beautiful brown eyes that were wide and fixed on her. And looking into his eyes, she gave him a small smile. He smiled back, giving her a look that was so beautiful it nearly broke her heart. And she hoped and prayed that nothing would ever force her away from him. And in that instant, everything was perfect.

If only it could have been perfect forever.

I LIED!
