Chapter 11
**Cata's POV**
The sun rose over the forest as I watched everything. It's actually beautiful, I just hate that it has to be here. I looked at my brother and Peeta both of them still asleep. I looked back to Marvel his breathing had returned to normal and his fever broke. The medicine worked and now I was going to kill that bitch, very painfully and very slowly.
"Wow major improvement," I heard Cato say over my shoulder.
"Sponsors sent some medicine while you guys were asleep," I said not taking my eyes off Marvel.
"He's going to be okay Cat, go lay down we can watch him for a few hours," my brother said as I shook my head. "I doubt anything's going to change if you go and sleep for a few hours."
I still sat there and watched Marvel. Next thing I know I'm being picked up and thrown over my brother's shoulder.
"Cato this isn't fair," I screamed punching his back.
"Of course it is, you're not getting your way this time princess," he laughed.
He sat me down beside Peeta and I guess with all of my screaming it woke him up.
"Now lay down and sleep, I will wake you up if anything happens ok," he said looking at me as I glared.
"Just because I lay down doesn't mean I'll sleep," I smirked.
"I can tell you're tired Cat, you'll sleep," he said walking away bastard.
I glared and laid down. It wasn't long, before I felt myself drifting off.

I woke up with the sun shining directly in my face. Stupid game makers. I got up and looked around. Peeta was changing Marvel's bandages, while Cato was watching the forest. I got up and went over to my brother.
"Feel better?" he asked.
"Shut up," I said laying my head on his shoulder.
We both stood there looking at the surroundings. Somewhere in these woods was fire bitch, the big guy from 11 and the fox like girl. That's all that stood between us and home.
"Guys come here," Peeta shouted.
I ran over to where he was with Marvel as Cato tagged along a little farther back. Marvel was groaning, which meant he was waking up. I sat on the ground beside Peeta and looked at him. His face kept scrunching up either he was having a nightmare or waking up; I really hope it's the second one. His hazel eyes fluttered open and he tried to sit up, but I pushed him back down; it wasn't too hard he's weak right now.
"Lay down, save your strength," I said looking at him.
"Please tell me I'm not dead," he muttered groaning.
"No, you're here with us. You have some sponsors apparently," I laughed.
"Did you just laugh?" he asked sitting up I just looked at him.
"My emotions are going crazy at the moment, enjoy it while it lasts. Now lay back down, we don't need you reopening that cut," I said.
"Can I at least sit up, I can't stand laying down," he groaned, I nodded I would allow that.
We stayed at our camp all day letting Marvel rest up. His cut hadn't fully healed yet, so we couldn't go and hunt the other tributes yet. I knew they were going to try and bring us all together soon though. The games were getting boring, so we needed to end this soon, before they try and kill one of us. At night fall there were no dead tributes, but that wasn't surprising. Then there were the trumpets playing they had another message.
"There will be a feast at dawn, both groups need something desperately. So before you say no you might want to reconsider," Seneca Crane's voice came loud and clear in the arena.
"What the hell do we need?" Cato asked as we all shrugged.
That was a very good point, what did we need? We had food, weapons, shelter, water; what did we need? I looked over at Marvel he looked puzzled it was kind of cute, even though I shook my head before I let that show on my face. We all heard a beeping come out of nowhere. A parachute dropped down to the ground with a huge 12 printed on it. Peeta walked over and grabbed it opening it. Inside I could see rolls from District 2 and two other types I didn't know, but I'll assume they're from 1 and 12.
"Out of all of the mentors I'm the one that puts this nice and easy. Go to the feast you dumbasses," Peeta read the card out to us.
That was the thing about the District 12 mentor Haymitch. He was a drunk you could see that every year, but he sure did know how to be blunt about things.
"So I guess were going then," Marvel said.
"We're going, you're not," I said.
"What do you mean I'm not?"
"You heard me pretty boy, you're still hurt you're staying. Cato and I will go to the feast, we were trained for this remember," I said smirking.
"And you forget I was trained for this too," Marvel said standing.
We starting glaring at each other, both of us trying to making our points loud and clear.
"Ohh would you two kiss and make up already. I'm getting tired of watching all this tension pass between you two," Cato said sitting down and laying back.
"Hmm ok," Marvel said, before grabbing me and pulling me to him.
He pushed his lips to mine and I instantly closed my eyes and kissed him back. It felt right kissing Marvel, I couldn't believe that he almost died. My instincts tell me I would have moved on, but my heart laughed and said bullshit, if that makes sense. Marvel bit at my lip and I opened my mouth to him.
"Ohh hell no, I felt that kissing yes, making out not happening," my brother shouted sitting up.
I laughed pulling away from Marvel, I turned looking at him. I smirked I had an idea to really get my brother going.
"Hey big brother just think about it, you'll get to feel the pain from my first time," I smirked the look on his face was priceless.
"Marvel I am going to kill you," he said glaring at Marvel making me chuckle.
"Or what about childbirth."
"Cat shut up!"
===2
"Ready to go," I whispered to Cato.
He nodded handing me a pair of night vision goggles. Peeta and Marvel were asleep and we knew the others would be at the feast. The two of us were going and we weren't telling the others. Cato and I both had our swords; I also had knives tucked into my belt. We quietly left camp and ran back to the Cornucopia. We hid in the woods waiting for sunrise. In these woods around us right now hid the ones we needed to kill.
"If anything happens remember stomp on your own foot and I'll come back," Cato said.
"Same goes for you," I said.
Cato kissed my head and hugged me close to him. We were scared, there's no doubt about it. Yes we were trained for this, but there was a chance that one of us or both of us were going to die. I reached up and kissed his cheek. Before we split up we pushed our two fingers to the others cheek. I ran to one side of the Cornucopia. This tactic allows us to be mobile and destroy anyone who runs for the woods.
I felt the sun hit the back of my neck, its show time. Out of the ground a table rose with two bags on it. One of the bags had a huge 1 on it and the other had a 2. We were group 1, so that was our bag. I waited, waiting for one of the others to move. A few minutes ticked by and nothing happened, I knew that Cato was probably getting antsy. Then the red head girl came out of the mouth of the Cornucopia and grabbed the 2 bag. She started running in Cato's direction, before she was tackled by the boy from 11.
"What do you think you're doing, we're a team. We all need this not just you," he screamed at her.
The girl dropped the bag and ran off obviously scared of the brute. He bent down and picked the bag up before shaking his head. It's obvious he wants to be allies with his 'team', but that's just not going to happen. He went back to the Cornucopia and grabbed our bag. I'm not letting him take ours too.
I pulled one of the knives from my belt. And ran out of the woods throwing it at him. He turned and dropped the bags and pulled out his oddly shaped weapon. I pulled my sword out and waited for him. He ran at me ready to attack. I dropped and kicked his legs out making him fall. He turned and swung at me, I easily blocked it with my sword. He got back to his feet still trying to push his weapon at me, I still blocked the blow. He shoved me and I fell to the ground. This isn't a match based on skill; it's based on physics now. This meant that I was going to have to use my speed against him, because there is no way in hell that I was going to out muscle him. I hopped back up taking my stance. Cato must have felt me fall; he had better be busy right now. He went to slash at me again and I ducked getting around his blow. We kept going like that for a while he would attack and I'd get out of the way. He did it again and I went to duck, but this time he tripped me and I was on the ground. He attacked me again and I blocked. He kept pushing the blade closer to my neck.
This is not how I'm going to die there is no way I'm going to die this way. All of a sudden his face went limp and so did his body as he fell to the ground beside me and spear sticking out of his back. Then the cannon fired signaling his death and another one right after.
"Now lion I thought you knew better than to play with guys about three times bigger than you are," Marvel chuckled walking over to me, holding a hand out to pull me up.
"I wasn't about to let him take our bag and aren't you supost to be sleeping?" I asked taking his hand.
"No I was supost to be here helping you, it's a good thing I got up when I did, or you'd be dead right now," he said pulling me to my feet.
He looked at me seriously and I knew he was mad at me. He's still hurt, I wasn't about to let him beat around with the guy from 11. I looked down and went over grabbing our bag and the other bag. I looked in their bag first it was food in it.
"CAT!" Cato screamed running into the clearing.
"I'm fine, Marvel saved me," I said when got over to me.
He pulled me into his arms and looked over at Marvel. Cato held his hand out to Marvel. Marvel grabbed it and they shook. I knew this was a mutual respect. Cato was now ok with Marvel being with me, he proved himself to Cato. I pulled out of Cato's hug and opened our bag. I looked inside and smirked.
"What's that look for?" Cato asked looking over my shoulder he chuckled. "I just killed the red head this is exactly what we need."
"What are you two talking about?" Marvel asked.
"We have armour Marvel she can't hit us," I said making him smirk.
"Let's get back and get ready, this ends tonight," Cato said.
We nodded and all of us ran back to our camp out. All of our stuff was still here, but Peeta wasn't. We walked around and yelled for him, but couldn't find him.
"Guys look," Marvel said holding up an arrow.
"She kidnapped her own district partner," I said.
