I finlaly updated my story. Im not too hapoy with this chapter. The next chapters should be much better/

Confessional ~Sam:
So Today I am in Lima, Ohio. I'm meeting Marley's family. I'm nervous because first impressions are very important and I do want them to like me.]
Sam starts his exciting world wind trip across the country to visit the final four women's hometown. He starts of in Seattle to visit Marley.

Confessional ~Marley:
I am very nervous for Sam to meet my family. I don't have a big family. It's just my mom, my sister Mary, and grandma. I grew up poor. My mom did everything to make sure that I had roof over my head and clothes on my back. She is my hero. One of the things she says to me that always sticks out and helped me become the person that I am "I didn't raise a victim or a quitter, I raised a star". So now I own a successful business and I was able to get my mom out of the slums and into a middle class neighborhood. She will be grilling Sam about his intentions with me, so I hope he is ready']
Marley meets Sam at world famous Pike Palace Fish Market. She heard of his love for seafood. So she thought it would be nice to have a fish fry as away to introduce him to her family.

"Hey Sam!" Marley greets him with a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"So I brought you here because I know you love seafood, and this is a place is a big attraction for tourist. I was hoping to get a little alone time with you before I introduce you to my family. How does that sound?"

"Sounds like a plan. But how do you know about my love of seafood?"

"I did my own research. I hope I don't sound creepy..."

"No I'm flattered that you took time and did your research".

While there, Sam participated in the fish toss, and also sampled some fish.

Sam's confessional
I enjoyed watching them tossing fish. The workers seem to love putting on a show for the customers. You can see pure joy on their faces. The customers look like they are also having fun. Now we are on our way to meet Marley's family. I'm a bit nervous, but I hope they like me]
Sam and Marley pulled up to a quaint house with a wraparound porch. Sitting on the porch was Marley's mom, grandma, and sis. Sam was nervous but he knew he had to get this over with.

"Mom this is Sam. Sam this is my mother Millie, my older sister Melissa, and my gma Lilly. Everyone, this is the love of my life Sam" Sam was taken aback by Marley introducing him as the love as her life. He felt his cheeks heat up. He shook their hand and stood there awkwardly. He really didn't know what to say. Sure he likes Marley a lot, but he knows that it's not love.

Sam Confessional-
So this is a very awkward situation. Marley is sweet and amazing but I do not think that she should have introduced me as the love of her life. I don't think her family appreciated much. I hope the rest of this visit is less awkward.

Marley's mother notice the how awkward it got and decided to break the tension.

"So Sam, come out back. I put the grill on. We can have a mini barbeque and get to know each other." Sam followed Marley's mother to the back yard. She wasted no time to question him about his intentions with her daughter.

"So Sam, tell me about you."

"I'm 26 and I am a Sci-Fi screenwriter. I have two sisters and a brother. We-"

Millie decided to interrupt Sam.

"I don't want to know things that I can easily find out on Google. I want to know why I should let you date or marry my daughter. What made you decide to do a reality show where you have women fighting for your affection?"

Sam didn't expect Millie to be this blunt.

"I decided to do this show because my dating life left a lot to be desired. I was always falling for the shallow women who saw nothing but dollar signs when they saw me. I'm glad that I met the women on this show because they taught me that there are good women out there who want love. Marley is one of those women. We have a lot common. She is smart, beautiful, classy, and sweet. Any man would be lucky to have her. I am lucky that I am getting to know her".

Millie was still apprehensive about Sam.

"Sam I love my daughter so much. She has been my rock in some of our darkest times. She has a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. She will give a stranger the shirt off her back. She is always donating to charity. She put herself through college by working 2 jobs and getting some scholarships. She took our family out of poverty. When she loves, she loves hard. She deserves the world and more. I need to know that I can trust you with her heart."

Sam saw tears threatening to fall from Millie's eyes. "I can promise you that I won't intentionally break her heart"

"That will have to do for now. So I give you my blessing to court my daughter. If you plan on marrying her, I expect another visit"

Sam smirked at her before responding. "Will do"

While Sam was having a conversation with Millie, Marley was asking her sister Mary about her opinion of Sam.

"I have my reservations and I wish you hadn't done this show. I also wish you hadn't brought him here."

"Well you need to tell me why you feel that way. What is so wrong with me finding love? Sam is a great guy. You need to give him a chance."

"I just don't want mom to get hurt. You know that she is traditional. We love you and if you can tell me that you love him and you can see yourself spending the rest of your life with him, then I will give you my support."

"I love you for caring so much. I can see myself growing old with him. He is everything that I am looking for in a partner. I love him so much that even though it will hurt if he doesn't choose me, as long as he is happy, that's all that matters."

"You fall in love so quick; he would be a fool not to pick you. We love you and I am glad that you are happy"

The rest of the evening was filled with laughter and jokes. Marley stayed up under Sam the rest of the night. They were snuggled up on one of the chaise in the back yard. They were talking and sharing embarrassing stories with each other. They also had had a couple of chaste kisses.

Millie confessional:
I love my daughter to death but I feel like she is making a mistake when it comes to her love life. I will support her but I just wish she found someone the traditional way. She seems happy, so I just hope he continues to put a smile on her face.

Marley Confessional:
This has been so much fun. I'm sad that Sam is leaving and going to visit with the other girls. I think he fit in perfectly with my family. I think my mother is a little more at ease with him. I don't know what the future holds for me and Sam. I want to say that I am confident that I will receive a rose, but I'm not sure. The rest of the girls are great but I hope he choose me. It would really suck to go home now… [She pauses and sniffs as tears fall down her face. She begins to speak again but her voice is strained and cracked] I know that I have fallen for him and I would hate to be eliminated now. I have come too far to lose the one guy I can see myself spending the rest of my life with.

Sam Confessional:
I had a great time with Marley. I learned a lot more about her as a person. Now I know why she is so amazing. She comes from an amazing family filled with strong women. It's getting down to the wire; every week it gets harder and harder to eliminate the ladies. I'm having second thoughts about this show. I don't want to break anyone's heart. I hope I can keep my promise to Millie. So tomorrow I will be visiting Tina's family, and I am a little nervous, but I am sure that it will be an adventure.

Sam heads to Houston to meet Tina's family. When they arrived, Sam was introduced to Tina's religious adopted parents.

Sam Confessional:
I am very nervous to meet Tina's Family. From what she has told me about them, I have a reason to be worried. They are very protective over her. I hope my wits and charm win them over. I'm also looking forward to meeting her parents the most because it seems like she is always guarded. I want to get to know the person behind the wall. I can tell that she is a great girl, but I want others to see it also.]

Tina Confessional:
I am so excited for Sam to meet my parents. They are very strict but they love me and I know that they will love him. I hope he can tell the type of person that I am by my surroundings and upbringing. I know it may seem like I'm a diva, but I'm really not. So I can't wait to show him the real Tina and not the Diva on the show.
Sam met up with Tina at a park near her home. When he saw her an automatic smile appeared on his face. He greeted her with a hug and peck on the lips.

"So it's so good to see you. I missed you." Sam told Tina.

"I missed you so much" Tina replied. "So I thought before I take you to meet my parents, they maybe we can fly a kite and catch up a bit. What do you say?"

"Sounds good to me"

They flew the kite and talked. There were lots of laughs because Tina was horrible at flying kites. Sam stood behind her and helped her.

"I would have thought that you knew how to fly a kite since this was your idea" Sam teased.

"Well I haven't flown a kite in years. Cut me some slack. How do you know that all of this wasn't a ploy to get you to put your arms around me" Tina teased back.

"Darlin all you had to do was ask"

"Well can I have a kiss" Tina asked boldly. Sam gave her a kiss on the lips. When he saw that she was trying to deepen it, he pulled away.

"So are you ready to introduce me to your parents?"

"Yup let's go!"

They pulled into the driveway and Sam saw who he assumed was Tina's father and mother.

"So you are the jackass that my daughter has brought to meet me? Give me one good reason that I shouldn't kick you off my property?" Tina's father said.
Sam gulped before Tina came to his rescue. "Daddy stop! You're scaring him." She turns to Sam "Daddy has a weird sense of humor. Anyway Sam this is my daddy Charlie and my mother Catherine."

"Please to meet you" Sam said. Charlie just glared at him before speaking.

"C'mon Sam. I need to take you out for some bonding." Sam didn't like the sound of that at all.

They went to a shooting range. Sam had to admit that he was a little intimidated by Tina's dad. Tina's dad gave Sam a gun. They spent about an hour at the shooting range. Sam noticed that Charlie didn't miss one shot. After the shooting range they went to a bar where Charlie proceeded to ask Sam some questions.

"Why are you interested in dating my little girl?"
Sam noticed that Charlie was glaring at him. He cleared his throat and answered the question.

"Well she is beautiful and smart, class-"

"I'm going to stop you right there. Tell me something I don't know. " Charlie cut in.

"Tina is spunky. She states what's on her mind. She is competitive. I love how our conversations just flow smoothly-"

"Let's cut the bull shit. Are you a religious person? Do you believe in premarital sex?

"I do go to church and I do believe in God. Sir I'm not going to lie to you, I do like sex before marriage, but I have not have sex with your daughter or any of the girls and I wouldn't do that until I choose the last girl."

"What do your parents think of you dating a woman of color?"

"My parents aren't like that. They would love and respect Tina because of me regardless of her race"

"I do not like you one bit. The reason that I will tolerate you is because my daughter seems happy. She has had a rough upbringing and I would do anything to ensure her happiness. She has been in and out of foster homes up until the age of 7. She is my pride and joy. I took you to the gun range because I wanted you to see that I am an excellent shooter. I never miss my target. I have no problems shooting you in the foot if you play with my little girl's heart. Is that clear?"

"I understand your concerns, but I am not the man that you have painted me to be. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Tina. Just because I am choosing to find love this way, doesn't mean I am a player or it doesn't diminish my character. If Tina was unhappy, she could leave any time she wanted. I will not intentional break any of the girls' hearts. I do care about your daughter sir."

"Sam, you have 4 girls left and you have to eliminate 3 within the next couple of weeks. Three girls are going to get their heart broken while you ride off into the sunset with the winner. Now if you do not choose Tina, I have to mend her broken heart and hope that she doesn't swear off men. Just think about that. While you are off wooing these women, someone is drying the tears that you caused.

On the way back to the house, Sam was pondering what Charlie was saying. He made some very valid points. He didn't want to lead any of the girls on. He made a connection with all of the girls, some more than others. Deep down, he knows that some hearts will be broken and it will be his fault. Maybe this show wasn't a good idea.

The rest of the night he spent getting to know Tina a little better. They went to a dancing club and got loose. He didn't realize how happy Tina gets when she is drunk. They had a good time, and he is happy that he did see a softer side to her.

Tina's Confessional:
Sam was a sweet heart with my family. I think my dad scared him a little but other than that, we had a good time. I hope I get a rose…. It would be good to finally win something. I think Sam and I am a good match. I hope he thinks so too.

Sam's confessional:
Tina's dad is so intense but I expect nothing less from him. He is very protective of his daughter as he should be. I did see a softer side to her, but she was still guarded. I wanted to see more of Tina, but I guess it might take some time given everything she has been through. The thing is, I do not have any more time to give. We are down to the final four and the decision is getting harder and harder. So Brittany is next on my agenda. I am nervous about meeting Brittany's family. We haven't connected that well so I hope that will change this trip.

Brittany Confessional:
I can't wait until Sam comes and meet Lord Tubbington. He is like the father I never had. He has a good sense of judgment. I like Sam so I hope he gets along with Lord Tubby. If not than this relationship will not work!

Sam travels to Sacramento, CA to visit Brittany and her family. He pulls up to a large mansion type house and sees Brittany standing out front with a big smile on her face. One thing about Brittany is that her smile is contagious.

"Hey Sam! How are you?"

"Hey Britt! I'm good. So where are your folks?"

"They are in Aspen, but I do have a very important family member that I want you to meet."
Sam looks around for the person but doesn't see anyone.

"Uh... Britt, where is this person at?" He watches as she picks up this big fat cat that he somehow didn't see sitting there before.

"Sam I want you to meet Lord Tubbington. He has had a hand in raising me and I thought it was only right for the most important person in my life to meet my potential husband."

"Husband? Britt, are you serious?"

"Of course I am. I also want you to appear on my web show Fondue for two."
Sam thought he just entered the twilight zone. He just told himself to go with it.
Sam Confessional:

I don't know what's going on. Britt wants me to meet her cat instead of her parents and wants me to go on her web show. I wonder if she is left alone a lot because this house is too big for one person.

"Britt I can't go on your web show while filming. I would have to wait until the show is over."

"Well way to ruin a party. Any way Lord Tubbington is going through marijuana withdrawal so he may be cranky. So Sam, let's plan out wedding. I think you will be the perfect groom. Don't worry, I am not a bridezilla. I think that our wedding can be colorful and we can have a unicorn statue for luck-"
"Britt stop. I am not here to plan a wedding. I am supposed to get to know your family. Since they are not here, why don't we get to know each other better? Let's go out and have some fun. What do you want to do? You pick and we will do it. Let's paint the town."

"Okay. Well I love to dance. There is a something I want to show you."
Brittany led Sam to her car and they drove to a dance studio. Before they walked in Brittany turned to Sam to explain why she owns a dance studio.

"My parents are very rich, but they barely had time to spend with me as a child. So they stuck me in dancing classed from the age of 2. So I developed a passion for it. I decided to open up this studio for children. I want to share my love of dance with them. So I want you to come and meet the kids."
When they walked in the studio, the kids ran up to Brittany and Sam. Sam saw how great Brittany was with them. They loved her. For the rest of the day Brittany and Sam played with the kids. Brittany even showed Sam how to perfect his Body roll.

Brittany's confessional:
I enjoyed Sam's company. I wish that my parents were here to meet him, but they had plans already. At least I have lord Tubbington here. I do miss Sam because it was nice to have some company. I hope I don't get eliminated because I would hate to come back to an empty house.

Sam's confessional:
I had such a good time at Britt's dance studio. The kids love her and Britt sure knows how to move. I feel bad that her parents weren't around. I was looking forward to meeting them to try to get to know Brittany more. I feel bad that they are always leaving her. I wish that I can take make her a part of my family. Everybody needs family especially someone like Brittany who always sees the good in people. It did get strange in the beginning with her cat, but overall I had a good time. Now I'm off to see Mercedes family and I am excited and anxious.

Mercedes Confessional:
Okay so I am so excited that Sam is coming to see my family. Family is everything to me. I am really close to my Parents and my brother. My best friend Kurt will be there. I just know that Sam will fit in perfectly with them. I know that my dad and brother will grill him but my father is a big softy so is my brother.

Mercedes met Sam at the airport. She wanted to drive him because they would mean she gets to spend more time with him. Mercedes took a deep breath as she watched Sam come straight to her.
When Sam saw Mercedes, a big grin spread across his face. He had truly missed that smile. He walked up to her and engulfed her in a hug.

"I miss you so much." Sam just stood there taking in her scent and just enjoying her in his arms at the moment.

"I miss you too Sam. So much." She had truly missed him. She missed his smile the most. She reluctantly let go. "So I decided that we can just walk around the park for some alone time before I let you meet the family. I brought some bread so that we can feed the ducks by the lake. It's not much but I just want to spend time with you."

"Sounds like a perfect way to spend our afternoon"

This is one of the things that make Mercedes stand out. She isn't looking for big fancy dates. She is content with just enjoying our time together no matter what we do. People may think that walking around and feeding the ducks is boring, but it's perfect to me. It gives us quality time together to talk or make out, or just enjoying each other's company.

They were both quiet as they walked around the park holding each other's hands. Every couple of steps, Sam would stop and kiss her. They got to the lake and sat on a blanket that Mercedes brought and fed the ducks. After the bread was finished, they spent the rest of the afternoon on the blanket snuggled up and kissing.

I love spending time with Sam. I had missed him a lot. I just wanted to do something that wasn't time consuming so that we can enjoy each other's company. Now we are going to my parent's house so that he can meet my family. I am excited because I know that Sam will fit in with my family.

They pulled up to Mercedes parent's house, and Mercedes turned to Sam before getting out the car.

"I just want you to be yourself. My family is not the type to be judgmental. They will like you just fine." Sam nodded his head and got out the car. Sam saw that some of her family was on the porch waiting for them. Before he could say anything, he heard a high pitch squeal.

Cedes!

Kurt! Oh my goodness! What are you doing here?" Mercedes asked as she ran up and gave him the biggest hug that she can muster.

"I was not about to miss this. I had to see lover boy for myself and must I say that he is looking delectable." Kurt said as he was eyeing Sam up and down.

"Ok well everyone this is Sam. Sam this is my father William, my mother Lisa, my brother Matt, my best friend in the whole world Kurt, and my Kurt's boyfriend Blaine."

Sam shook everyone's hand and notice that Mr. Jones had squeezed his hand a little tight.

"So Sam let's go in the house so that we can get to know you better" Said Lisa.

They all walked in to the house and sat around the living room. Mercedes father decided to break the ice.

"So Sam, I have to be honest, when Mercedes told us she was going on this show, I was apprehensive because I thought that you will be a jerk that love women fighting over you. But then my baby girl would call us and talk about you so much. She had so much joy when she spoke of you. So instead of intimidating you, I am just going to say keep doing whatever you are doing that is putting a smile on my daughter's face."

"Well Mr. Jones I plan on it. Mercedes is special and she deserves to be treated with the upmost respect."

The rest of the evening was filled with laughter and games. They played so many games where Mercedes would win. Everything was going great until there was a visitor. Mercedes answered the door and was shocked to see the person standing in front of her.

"Noah! What are you doing here?"

"Your father invited me. Since he hasn't seen me in awhile, he told me to stop by. I heard you were in town, so here I am. Aren't you going to invite me in?" Mercedes didn't want to be rude, so she stepped aside and let Noah in. Noah took it upon his self to introduce himself to Sam.

"Noah Puckerman. I am Mercedes ex fiancé who she left at the altar." Sam was shocked. He never knew that Mercedes was engaged before. He didn't know what to say so he just shook Noah's hand. Noah decided to mingle with the rest of the family. Mercedes took this time to speak to Sam about Noah.

"Sam I-"

"Mercedes, what's going on? I didn't know that you were engaged before. Why did you lie to me? Why did you leave him at the altar? What's going on?"

"Sam, I got pregnant at 18 by Noah. It was during my rebellion stage. Noah is an upstanding guy who didn't want to have a baby out of wedlock. So he proposes and I accepted. I ended up having a miscarriage about 2 weeks before the wedding. Noah was there for me every step of the way. He still wanted to marry me. So I told him that we can continue with the wedding plans against my family's wishes. On the day of the wedding, I was in my wedding dress thinking about my life. I realized I was too young to be married, so I fled the church and left Noah standing at the altar. I was young and immature. This is the first time that I have seen him since that night. I moved on, I am not in love with him anymore. I hope we can move past this because I do see a life with you."

Sam was conflicted. He didn't know what to do. He had very strong feelings for Mercedes.

"I understand that you were young and we all do things that we are not proud of. I just hope from here on out that you are upfront with me. No more lies or withholding information."

I am glad that Sam is so understood. I told him that there would be no more lies and I mean it. I care about him a lot and he is the first boy after Noah that I can see a future with. I hope since he forgave me for keeping that from him, he doesn't eliminate me. I guess eventually I will have to talk to Noah and give him closure, and I will. I do not want anything to jeopardize any possible future with Sam.

The date with Mercedes started out perfectly. I had a great time with her family. I did get a little upset about Noah and Mercedes, but I understand that people do things without thinking when they are younger. So Now I have to send someone home. I think I have a pretty good idea who I am sending home, but that doesn't make it any easier.

Sam stood there in front of the remaining four ladies. They all looked so beautiful. He wasn't looking forward to eliminating any of them, but he knows he has to.

"The first person that I will give a rose to is Marley. I really enjoyed your family and I got to see how you came to be amazing. The women in your family seem strong and I get see that quality in you. So will you except my rose?

Marley tried to hold the tears at bay but failed miserably. "Yes I will accept"

"The next rose goes to Mercedes. You are amazing and awesome. I loved spending time with your family and I know that we have a special connection. I look forward continuing this journey with you. Will you accept my rose?"

"Of course. Thank you." She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

So Sam looked between Tina and Brittany. Then he called the next name.

Tina. I learned a lot about you from your family. I think that I am finally breaking through your tough girl exterior. Will you accept this Rose?

Tina was so happy. She gave him a hug and kisses and took the rose and went back to her spot.

"Brittany I think that you are wonderful. I just don't think that we made a connection. I wish you the best."

"It's okay. Lord tubs told me that I may not get a rose. I enjoyed myself and I am glad that I met you." She gave him a hug as well as the other girls and made her exit.

"Welcome to the final three. Next week you will be meeting my whole family and we will be going on one on one double date with my parents. Get some sleep and I will see you tomorrow.
