Chapter 11 – Growth
A/n: Only two more for today...
Harper has brown eyes.
She's starting to hold her head up on her own.
I saw you today. You were standing behind a tree, as I sat in the sun.
In that place where they tell me you are.
There's grass over the dirt.
I left you Peonies. They are your favorites.
I know you aren't there.
But you are coming around less and less.
She smiled at me and it was your smile.
She's a night owl, just like you.
Three months have past since you last looked at me.
I still have the dreams of the buzzing and beeps.
I still wake up screaming.
Your smell no longer lingers in the air at home.
I've moved back into our room.
It's the only place that I can still feel you in the air.
My heart still beats in time with yours, I hope.
When I hold her, I can feel you, what's left of you inside her.
I still cry myself to sleep.
Everyday she grows.
Everyday you grow further away.
