So, in the blink of an eye, she crashed her lips to his and everything else was forgotten.
Next thing she knew, she was in Jace's room, sprawled on his bed with him hovering over her. His hair was a tousled blond mane standing in a thousand directions where she pulled at it. His lips were parted and blood stained from hers, his glowing red eyes reflecting into hers. He hesitated for a second before bringing their lips together again and feeling the soft moan vibrate inside Clary's throat as they slowly explored each other's mouths with soft licks and bites, teasing, taunting. Their lips quickly found their way around each other as if they had never been apart. He reached for her shirt and tore it to shreds in a second, then impatiently fumbled with her pants as she licked and sucked all over his neck, nibbling at it from time to time, tempted to taste his blood again. Their clothes were gone within seconds, what was left of them having been scattered all over the room.
The feeling of his skin under her sensitive fingertips and his hot breath roaming all over her naked body as he kissed every inch of her with utter need and desperation were bringing Clary to the brink of climax. She moaned in delight, as her thoughts raced through her mind at a thousand miles per hour. She was surprised she was even capable of forming any coherent thoughts with Jace's hands doing unspeakably dirty things to her, and his glowing eyes drilling holes into her exposed body.
He dug his fingers into her milky white legs, swiftly dragged her closer and buried himself into her. Clary arched herself and clawed at his back, leaving bloody trails all over his toned shoulder blades, making him hiss both in pain and pleasure. Her soft pants were like music to his ears, a song he had forced himself to forget, but to which he could remember all the lyrics. He knew what button to push, what strings and chords to pick, and what keys to press. Their bodies moved together in such harmony they might as well have been dancing. Clary opened her eyes only to find him already staring at her with strange fascination. It was one of those looks that you wanted to shy away from but couldn't, one of those that conveyed more than words ever could. It was how he used to look at her, as if no time had passed at all, so when he moved his lips to say something, she kissed him and crushed his body against hers, because moments like those should never be ruined by something as simple as words. She ran her fingers through his hair, feeling every cell and fiber in it, so soft, so slick, though you'd never expect it to be. She listened to every breath and grunt of his as he rubbed their bodies together and slammed into her with such ferocity and fervour, that if she were a human, she would have been broken in half. And she loved him like this, so free, so concentrated, yet completely out of control, so lost into her that you could barely see where she began and where he ended.
And, suddenly, that short yet earth-shatterring moment came where there was no war, no feud, no her, no him, just them, united in utter bliss, their bodies shivering in the aftershock. They were in their own time bubble, their chests heaving, and their eyes closed. Jace rolled off of her and lay on his back, staring at the ceiling. Clary wanted to reach out to touch him but she felt as if the moment had passed, that brief window she had with him, a window during which she could pretend he still loved her. Now the hollow feeling in her chest was back, so she cleared her throat and started to get up, scanning the room for what was left of her clothes.
"Where are you going?" he asked, grabbing her by her wrist, his voice laced with what seemed to be concern, though Jace's feelings had always been a deep mystery.
"Um... to my room." Clary cleared her throat awkwardly. "This was... eerly familiar" she chuckled nervously. He said nothing bu she felt him smile, and not that crooked smirk he gave to everyone, but the kind he had only reserved for her.
"Stay." he urged, rising to a sitting position and softly kissing her shoulder.
"Why?" she whispered.
"Because after tonight, I think we've both realised we may not be as invicible as we thought. And I've decided not to deny myself anything I want anymore and to stop making up excuses. And I do want you. I have for quite a while." he spoke quickly as if hoping she couldn't keep up with his confession. Clary took a few moments to process what she had just heard, while Jace stared intently at her, waiting for her to flip out and attack him and call him names, like she has since she arrived, but, instead, she nodded.
"Okay. I'll stay here with you. But just for tonight." she replied, fighting to keep her ground.
"Just stay, Clary." he breathed out.
And she did.
