Haven't been sleeping well since school ended. Just can't quite my mind. So anyways, thats why this chapter came so fast.
1:45PM
British Secret Services, London
As I opened the door to Mycroft's office I expected him surprised like the last time. But now he looked board. His office changed, moved the furniture around and even placed a treadmill near the corner, wanting to get fit I see Mr. Holmes. But there were still the similarities, the books layering the walls, reminding me of Jim's study, and the scent of old wood, most likely due to his vintage desk.
I walked towards it, "Oh come now, am I boring you already?"
"Takes a lot not to Ms. Brooks. Last time you got lucky." Mycroft smiled. He adjusted his head so that he could take a look at the door behind me, noticing that I left it open. "Killed my employees again?"
"Not all of them. Most got paid off, you should really start paying them more Mr. Holmes. But there are a few causalities, always are. It's not like you were emotionally attached to any of them." I answered, sitting down in the chair in front of his desk, swinging my legs over the arm to get comfortable.
"I sometimes forget how smart you are. A shame you choose the losing side, would've had a nice place here for you." Mycroft sighed, his emotions were so fake it made me want to choke him. The downfall of the Holmes brothers, never being able to be a real human. I suppose that was Jim and I's downfall as well, but at least we could be fake humans together.
"It's funny, maybe if you found me first you would be the one I'd marry." I let out, watching to see if he got the hint. His eyes widened, his mouth shaping a small "O". There, thats the surprised look I missed. He's always been a clever boy.
"The two of you are getting married?" He questioned. His shock expression changed quickly to amusement, "But the man can not love."
I changed my posture, swinging my legs back in front of me and leaning forward, "He can't love someone ordinary."
"Is this why you're here? Have you come, killing my men just to give me a wedding invitation?" His tone was back to being annoyed.
I simply shrugged, "I don't have your home address."
"Yes you do." He stated quickly, making me smile in enjoyment.
"Yeah I do, but that doesn't mean I can't pop in when you're working. I miss our everyday visits Mr. Holmes." I got up. Not being able to sit in one place without losing interest I walked around his office, letting my hand brush the books. "Jim doesn't hit me like you do. Funny thing I don't think he's ever hit me."
"My I ask who else is invited." Mycroft asked, changing the subject.
My mind went back on corse, remembering why I came. "All of London! Well all of London will be watching, not live though. Can't fit millions of people in a church."
"A church? A bit ironic."
"Don't worry Mycroft, I don't burst into flames when I pass the door frame." I joked before continuing. "You'll see who else will be there don't you worry. Oh and you'll be notified of the details shortly."
I looked around, wondering if I missed anything. Checking off my mental To-Do List I found that I covered it all. Good, this was getting boring. Smiling I walked over to his office window, over looking the busy streets. People down below walked with a quick pace to where ever their destination was. Silly how that was always the case, practically running from point A to point B. If only one of them looked up, they would have a view of their destroyer, the woman secretly controlling London. Oh and she had something fun planed for her city, if only someone looked up.
"Well. It's always fun seeing you Mycroft. We should make this a weekly routine." I turned to him, almost forgetting where I was.
He forced himself to smile, "As much fun as that sounds I believe I'll run out of people to hire by the end of the year. Will you be staying long enough for Scotland Yard to pick you up?"
I laughed slightly, "so hopeful. No. I played that game before remember. Never like playing something more then once, they get so predictable." I caught myself rambling and held my tongue, walking over to the door.
"It was a pleasure Ms. Brooks, or I guess Mrs. Moriarty now." Mycroft joked, he always could let one slide into conversations.
I caught myself smile as I walked out of the open door frame, tip toeing over the limp bodies as I went. No one's called me Mrs. Moriarty before. The name sound so fitting. "Watch it Elizabeth you're falling and you're falling fast. This isn't you. This territory is alien to you." Something in the back of my mind said, but I brushed it off, letting the warm feeling fill me.
As I opened the froth doors I was greeted by Sebastian, holding stacks of papers. I caught him eyeing my smile and I whipped it off my face with a more villainous one, making him revert to normal.
"Now is everyone in place?" I asked. Phase one was just the start, and it needed to be perfect. Sebastian nodded, handing me half of the stack. I looked up to see Big Ben, even a couple blocks away I could make out the time. "Good, we should be going in three. Two. One." After my counting down Big Ben chimed, telling all of London that it was now 2 o'clock.
Sebastian and I ran through the block, throwing the papers in the air. A few blocks away there was two other people doing the same, just like the next few blocks, and the next, and the next. Everywhere in London there were these papers flying in the air.
I threw my last handful, watching them fly and then fall. One of the paper's corners landed in a small puddle, making the ink bleed. But you could still make out the message.
