Oh my lawd…it's been a while, huh? Well, like AmI I don't have an excuse for my absence other than no inspiration and deciding to take a break from writing. Anyways, hopefully I can get back into the groove of writing.
This is a bit of a filler chapter introducing some new characters that will probably show up later.
xXx
It's been almost a month already in which Flippy has done nothing except stay inside his new home.
It's been almost a month...and yet the bear feels like he's met almost everyone in the entire town.
Either Flaky's really popular or this town is a really tight knit community in which everyone just goes over to each other's homes to hang out. Each visitor seemed to have their own little quirks; the personalities of the people in this town were certainly colorful and unique that was for sure.
He recalled the visit of a tall, handsome - yet lanky man that he assumed was Flaky's neighbor when he sent her a toothy grin and held up a glass cup asking to borrow some sugar.
"Of course you can Lumpy, let me just go get-" she blinked when the blue haired man stepped around her to walk uninvited into her home. "Or you can just get it yourself I guess.." She mumbled, shutting the door and following after her obnoxious 'guest'.
Flippy had then scurried over to his caretaker and patted her leg, wordlessly asking to be picked up so he can see this man from her height. Smiling, she bent down and scooped him up; adjusting him in her arms she trailed into the kitchen where she could hear the intruder rummaging through things.
Once they reached the threshold to the kitchen, the bear blinked and tilted his head back to see his owner's face after hearing her release a soft sigh. He followed her irritated gaze to the open fridge where someone was bent over and digging inside.
"L-Lumpy," she murmured, tapping his shin lightly with her toe.
A grunt was heard from inside the fridge and the bear noticed the man's body jerk up along with a loud thunk, letting them know that he just conked his head. Rubbing his head, Lumpy backed up and lifted his head up and out of the fridge with a cold pizza from the night before hanging from his mouth along with a can of soda in his hand.
Flaky sighed again at the sight, she was planning on eating that for lunch but guess she's gotta find something else now..
"Lumpy," she tried again, a strained smile settling on her lips once she caught his attention. "Can you please close my fridge? The sugar that you want is in the cupboard."
Tilting his head confusedly and lifting his free hand to pull the dangling pizza from his mouth, the man blinked at the woman before him. "..Sugar?"
The corner of her lip twitched to keep from being tugged down into a frown as she lifted a hand to point at the forgotten glass cup sitting on her counter in its lonesome. "Yes. You came here for sugar, remember?"
"Huh?" His head turned, teal eyes drifting to stare blankly at the empty cup, in the time it took him to recognize his own cup - Flippy was able to completely take in his appearance, particularly the blonde streaks mixed in with the blue strands mainly had his attention.
It was interesting the unique colors and styles of people's hair, he remembered Petunia's dark blue hair that was pulled up into a high ponytail and how it had streaks of lighter blue mixed in, now there was this man with a blonde and blue mix.
Flaky's he noted was just regular - yet lovely in his opinion - shade of red, but the tons of what he can only assume to be snowflakes in her hair gave her a unique hairstyle that let her stand out despite its one toned color.
Splendid was the only one that had normal, one toned hair color that he kept back in a simple slick back style.
Thinking back on everyone's hair colors made Flippy wonder what color and style his hair would be if he were human. Looking down at his paws, he could only assume that it would be green. But he had no idea what the style would be, but that would just make it fun to imagine all kinds of styles of hair on his human self.
"Ahh, yes, sugar!" Lumpy laughed, placing the soda on the counter and grabbing the cup before turning back to the owner of the house. "I would like some sugar, please!"
Flaky giggled, despite his stupidity, Lumpy still managed to be surprisingly cute with his childlike personality. "Okay, one second." She told him, walking past him when he nodded and opening the cupboard to get the sugar.
Glancing at the sugar, her large eyes dropped down to the bear in her arms. "Flippy?" He made a noise in acknowledgment as he gazed up at her smiling face, "is it okay if I put you on my shoulder?" He smiled back and nodded, immediately feeling himself being lifted to lay over her shoulder, his paws clenching instinctively onto the front of her shirt to keep from falling off when she moved.
Grabbing the sugar, the redhead opened the package and made her way back to the blue haired man just in time to witness him toss the last piece of pizza in his mouth. Making a satisfied noise, his tongue ran over his lips to catch any left over sauce as he savored the taste and popped open the can of soda.
While he was drinking, Flaky decided to go ahead and pour the sugar into the cup for him; knowing him, he would somehow instead end up wasting the entire package. Stopping once it reached the top, she folded the package back up and placed it back in the cupboard while Lumpy gulped down the last of his soda.
"Here you go," Flaky offered, holding the full cup out to him as he grinned and took it eagerly.
"Thank you!" He laughed, shaking the cup and spilling some of the sugar; the redhead laughed along nervously, eyeing the cup and praying that he won't drop it and waste the entire thing.
"You're welcome." She told him, leading him back to the front door. Opening it and turning to him, Flaky waited patiently for him to leave her house before he eats anything else.
But it seemed he wasn't leaving just yet.
Atleast not when he's finally taken notice of the small bear on her shoulder that was staring at him curiously.
"Oooh," he leaned forward in interest, stopping with his nose only inches away from the heart shaped one. Taking quick notice of the sugar steadily pouring out of the cup, Flaky pushed the bottom of it until he was holding it upright.
"Awwww," Lumpy grinned, reaching a hand up to pet Flippy's head, making him smile at the kind gesture. "What a cute puppy!"
"Uhm," Flaky raised a brow at the remark. Of course, only Lumpy would mistake a bear for a puppy. "Lumpy, this is Flippy. And he's a bear...not a puppy."
"What," now it was Lumpy's turn to look confused as he continued rubbing the little bear's head who was smiling and nuzzling up to the warm palm. "Flaky, you must be confused." He let out a goofy giggle as he straightened up and moved his hand back to instead point at the green animal.
"This is clearly a puppy...but it's okay if you can't tell the difference between a puppy and bear like most people." He told her, thanking her for the sugar again and leaving her standing there with her jaw hanging.
Did Lumpy...just insult her intelligence?
Flippy turned to look at his caretaker's dumbfounded face and lifted a paw to poke her cheek. Well, he wasn't sure what to make of the tall man other than the fact that he was strange and that he had a feeling that his sweet owner actually found him a bit annoying. But he will say that he did like that the man called him cute and had pet him - it certainly contrasted Petunia's reaction to him.
That man was so fucking stupid, I wished I could of killed him.
Flippy blinked and ignored the voice in his head, he was getting better at ignoring it atleast. Though the bad thing was that it seemed to be getting more vocal everyday and never with anything nice to say.
Anyways, the next couple days consisted of visits from Flippy's idol Splendid, some talkative pink haired girl who giggled a lot and liked to play with him and one other strange lavender haired woman who at one point picked him up by the scruff of his neck and held him up to eye level, glaring at him with a malicious grin that sent a shiver shooting up his spine.
But she automatically dropped him before doing anything once Flaky asked her what she was doing, her face quickly switched from cold too sweet as she lifted up the pickle she was holding with a worried look.
"Mr. Pickles was the one thinking it, I swear!" She had exclaimed to her confused friend and bear.
Mr. Pickles was thinking it? Thinking what?
Deciding that he didn't want to know what she meant by that, Flippy had snuck off and hid under Flaky's bed until the creepy lady had left.
And here he thought that Petunia lady was scary...
The next new person was a peculiar hyper teen; he knocked frantically on the door nonstop. And Flaky automatically seemed to know who it was as she got up and went into the kitchen for a second. Reappearing with a lollipop in her hand and her lips upturned she headed to open her door before it was broken through by the crazy knocks.
As soon as the door opened, Flippy watched as a green blur shot inside and latched itself onto his owner. The source of the blur was a young male who was giggling uncontrollably and the curious bear padded a couple feet closer to get a look at the most unique looking human he's seen so far.
Flippy couldn't bring himself to not examine this person, he looked so...different. Messy green and yellow hair covered in various candy; even his pink cheeks had candy seemingly glued to them. But the thing that caught the bear's attention the most was the boy's eyes.
He waited for the boy to let go of Flaky so she could pick him and let him have a closer look at his eyes. Once he was able to see, Flippy was amazed at the fact that the boy had bi colored eyes, one green and one yellow just like his hair.
But what really caught his attention was the way the eyes don't match up at all, the green iris was much larger and drifted off to the side, making him wonder if that eye worked.
He will say though...that one yellow eye made him incredibly uncomfortable once Flaky introduced the boy to him. The lazy eyed boy sucked hungrily on the lollipop that Flaky gave him as his good eye stared intently at the nervous bear.
Flippy actually shivered once he noticed a bit of drool escape the corner of the gazing boy's lip, the lollipop was pulled out of his mouth as he smacked his lips together never moving his eyes from the small animal.
"Yummy! He looks like a giant gummy bear!" He had exclaimed, causing the animal to shrink back into the protective arms wrapped around him, hoping that Flaky wouldn't give him to the boy and his sticky, outstretched hands.
He had a feeling that he'd be losing an arm if that boy got a hold of him.
"Flaky! Can I have a taste?! He looks delicious!" He asked loudly, wiggling his fingers excitedly, yellow eye sparkling in hunger, oblivious to the terrified expression of the bear shaking his head no rapidly. "I bet he's lime flavored!"
"N-no Nutty!" Flaky cried, covering Flippy the best she could from Nutty's grabby hands much to his relief. "H-he's a regular bear not gummy bear. You can't eat him."
The candy covered boy's face quickly dropped into a saddened pout. "Awww, but Flaky..." He whined, stuffing his lollipop back into his mouth dejectedly.
Her stern expression immediately morphed into a guilty one at the sight of his saddened face. "Aw, it's okay Nutty. We're already gonna bake brownies to eat, aren't we?" She said softly, hoping to lift him back up. She didn't like to see someone like Nutty lose their smile, even for just a couple seconds.
Within seconds, the hyper boy retained his bright continence as he began jumping up and down with a cheerful grin. "C'mon! Let's get started then! The chocolate is waiting!" He exclaimed, wrapping his long fingers around his friend's wrist and dragging her to the kitchen where she placed Flippy down onto the counter - away from her sweet loving friend and in her sight - as she moved around the small kitchen to gather all the things they would need.
Sitting quietly in the corner, Flippy watched the pair as they prepared the mix - Flaky instructing the boy on what to do and letting him try in making his own dessert. He took notice on how the boy was extremely antsy and couldn't for the life of him keep still; even when he was cracking the eggs his hands were shaking the whole time.
He had to stifle a giggle behind his paw when Flaky handed her guest a bag of chocolate chips which he ripped open and dumped atleast more than half the bag inside the bowl much to Flaky's distress who cried that it was too much. Shrugging the candy covered boy poured the rest of the bag of chocolate into his gaping mouth, swallowing it all with a delighted 'Mmm!' And jittering with even more energy than before.
Trying her best to stir the now difficult mix, the redhead didn't even notice when her guest had wandered off into her cupboard and pulled out the bag of sugar. Scurrying back over to her side, the grinning boy unfurled the package and proceeded to dump the sugar into the bowl until his hands were slapped lightly and pushed away from the bowl.
"No Nutty, sugar isn't part of the mix." Flaky scolded him with a frown. Flippy blinked incredulously at the scene.
That was the first time he's seen his kind caretaker hit someone and scold them. His wide eyed gaze shifted to the now pouting boy who was glaring lightly at the redhead, he stuck a hand into the still open package of sugar.
Flippy was expecting him to pull out a handful of sugar to eat.
He was certainly not expecting him to pull out a handful of sugar and throwing it at Flaky's concentrated face.
In shock at the sugar attack, the woman stopped mixing to lock her wide eyes with her still pouting guest. "N-Nutty! Why would you do that?"
"Because you were being mean." He grumbled, like a grouchy child.
"I-I was not being mean!" Flaky defended weakly.
But then the boy's eyes widened as it finally dawned on him that he just wasted some precious sugar. "Oh no! My poor sugar!" He exclaimed, abandoning the bag on the counter as he hopped forward and grabbed Flaky's face to drag her close to his worried face.
Her face colored instantly at the close proximity. "N-Nutty! W-what are y-you-" she squeaked and closed her eyes in embarrassment once the moist, slimy feeling of his tongue dragged along her pink cheek.
Flippy tilted his head at the display. Why was that boy licking his owner? His lips tugged down into a frown. And why did it bug him that that boy was making her cheeks all rosy as she weakly pushed his chest to get him to stop cleaning her face with his tongue?
You know, I believe the bitch has some rat poison in the drawer under this counter. How about you...pour a little inside sugar slut's brownies?
He frowned and shook his head; he can't believe he even thought about going along with the voice.
And his sweet Flaky was not a bitch. Stupid voice needs to shut up and go back to where it came from.
Flaky resembled a strawberry by the time that Nutty was done, her face shiny with streaks of saliva. With a disgusted look, Flaky placed a pan onto the counter and hurriedly poured the mix in and slid it into the oven to cook.
Mumbling to her guest to make himself at home, she excused herself by saying that she was going to go wash her face and was halfway out the kitchen until she remembered her bear and back tracked to retrieve him and take him with her much to his relief.
By the time that the brownies was finished cooking, all the sweets in Flaky's house had now been devoured by the bottomless pit named Nutty.
Well, he certainly did make himself at home.
Sighing at the thought of having to replenish all her missing candy now, Flaky opened the oven and pulled out the steaming pan of chocolate.
In a sudden whirlwind of green and yellow - the pan was now empty in just seconds, the whirlwind then zipped to the door, screaming a thanks for helping teach him how to make brownies before disappearing.
Flaky's shoulders slumped at not being able to try atleast one piece as she picked up the pan and carried it to the sink to soak in cold water to cool it down before washing it.
Feeling useless at not being able to help, the bear toyed with his dog tags, taking obvious notice that his human gets taken advantage of a lot with her kindness - particularly in her food being eaten by everyone but her.
It made him wish that he could be human so that he could speak up for her.
xXx
The next people to visit were a pair of grinning, rowdy boys.
Flippy actually didn't realize they had guests that day until he woke up to the sound of loud voices and boisterous laughter coming from the living room. Wandering in there, the little bear found his petite owner squished between two taller frames on her couch as they played excitedly on a game system that he never knew she had.
Another boom of laughter was heard and Flippy noticed that it was the blonde boy of the group that was being the loudest, constantly roaring with laughter and talking louder than necessary.
The second, more quiet - but still loud boy was on Flaky's other side. Long violet hair curved to cover the right side of his face, making Flippy wonder how that boy can see with just one eye visible. He also could see that the boy had a bit of a buck tooth whenever he opened his mouth along with freckles sprinkled across his pale cheek.
The boy looked like he was really nice but Flippy did not appreciate how he kept sneaking glances at Flaky with pink cheeks, he also constantly leaned over unnecessarily close to show her which button to press or to help when she gets stuck.
But what sit even less well with him was how Flaky kept sending the blonde on her left shy glances with heated cheeks, her face growing darker everytime he nudged her playfully.
Taking a seat on the ground, Flippy examined the three and came to the conclusion that freckle boy liked Flaky and Flaky liked blondie...but blondie has not really shown any signs of liking her back much to Flippy's relief.
Finally familiar crimson eyes took notice of him and Flaky smiled, placing the remote on the blonde's lap, she got up, "Flippy! Good morning, I didn't know you were up yet." She greeted, picking him up and pecking his nose.
Emerald eyes caught the movement of violet from over her shoulder, the freckle boy was leaning over to see what she was holding. "Ooh Flaky, what's that?" He asked with an inquiring eye.
"Oh yeah," she spun around with Flippy and proudly held him up in front of her wide eyed friends. "This is Flippy, I took him in when I found him injured on my lawn one day."
"Flippy, this is Toothy," she introduced him in front of the smiling buck toothed boy who reached up and pet his head gently.
"He's so cute." He told her, giving Flippy's ear a small scratch before taking his hand back.
"And this is Cuddles," she informed him, moving him to the blonde who was grinning like a maniac.
"I can't believe you have a fucking bear!" Cuddles exclaimed, snatching the green animal out of Flaky's hands, "that's so cool!" He continued, oblivious to his friend's blush as she watched him.
No, no, no.
Flippy was not comfortable with this enthusiastic boy holding him.
Especially when he felt himself flipped and hanging upside down with the grinning human holding his hind legs open as he stared at the spot between his legs.
"Is it a boy?! Can you see his dick?!" Oh god, Flippy was not okay with this.
Flippy felt violated.
"Cuddles!" Toothy hissed from the side. "Don't be so vulgar and stop holding him like that; you're going to hurt him!"
Yep, despite his crush on Flaky, Flippy preferred Toothy over Cuddles by a long shot.
"Yeah Cuddles, you really shouldn't hold him like that," Flaky added in a small voice. "He just recovered from his injuries only a couple days ago."
"Oh okay," the blonde complied and turned him until he was right side up and Flippy almost dared to say that he felt much better.
That is until he caught sight of that troublemaking grin and felt his stomach drop as he struggled to get out the boy's tight grip as he moved the bear closer to him.
Then without warning, Flippy felt fingers invade his mouth, than much to his chagrin, he could feel his jaw being forced apart. Now he was stuck with this boy's fingers - and who knows what he has touched previously - in his maw, holding it wide open as he peeked inside the bear's mouth.
"Huh. His teeth aren't that sharp actually," then to his growing annoyance he felt the boy's fingers trailing over various teeth. "Does he bite?" He asked, ignoring the bear's growl as he grabbed a tooth and wiggled it.
You fucking pussy, break out of his hold and tear out his jugular!
Sad thing is, Flippy was definitely tempted to do what the voice was telling him at the moment.
"He probably will if you keep aggravating him like that." Toothy grumbled, having heard the low growl.
"Uhm, Cuddles...please stop...you're making him mad." Flaky tried, staring with worry at her bear who was looking to be increasingly agitated with the frustrating blonde.
Glancing at Flaky and hating how worried she looked, Toothy decided to intervene and snatch the bear out of his friend's hands before he somehow dies from another animal attack.
"Hey!" Cuddles cried with a glare.
"If you don't know how to treat it, then you shouldn't be holding an animal." Toothy growled at him, feeling Flippy relax in his arms at finally being taken away from the blonde terror.
"Pfft, whatever dude." Cuddles grumbled, taking his remote back up and going back to the game. The blonde then looked to the hostess and patted the seat next to him. "C'mon Flaky, play with me!" With red cheeks, she nodded and shuffled over to take a seat next to the blonde, lowering her head in embarrassment when his hand brushed hers as he handed her back her remote.
Glancing up, Flippy caught the violet haired boy frowning at the display before him.
Guess Toothy must understand how he feels whenever a guy gets too close to Flaky.
After a couple minutes, the one eyed boy decided to get back into the game and just let Flippy hang on his lap. Curious, Flippy slipped out of Toothy's lap and climbed up his arm until he reached the boy's right shoulder.
He then reached out and tried to move the boy's fringe out of the way so he could see his other eye. Finally taking notice of what Flippy was doing, the buck toothed boy put down his remote and turned to smile at the bear.
"What?" He asked, poking Flippy playfully on the nose. "You want to see what's under my hair?"
At his nod, Toothy chuckled and reached up to move his bangs out of the way for Flippy to see. His emerald eyes blinked at the sight of a white medical patch covering his right eye. "I lost my right eye again today."
He sighed and let his hair drop back down to re cover the patch. "I lose it a lot actually. Which is why I decided to just let my hair grow out to cover up my constantly missing eye."
Sensing his sadness, Flippy decided to pat his head sympathetically to which Toothy sent him a thankful smile before going back to playing.
There were a couple times where Cuddles tried to steal him back from Toothy when he was distracted which terrified him but thankfully for the small bear Toothy always managed to get him back before he could try anything that get him riled up.
It's official. Flippy likes Toothy and he dislikes Cuddles, he'll make sure to keep in mind to avoid the blonde at all costs whenever he visits.
Settling down for lunch with his caretaker once the two boys left, Flippy decided that he doesn't mind and sometimes liked meeting new faces but as he gazed at Flaky's face, watching as she smiled and talked to him cheerfully - he decided that he prefers when they get to spend time alone together instead.

Hopefully next update won't take as long as this. ._.
