"Full power..." I whispered bending my knees in a jumping pose. I gave it all my strength jumping forward, far surpassing the sound barrier leaving a cloud of sand where I was previously standing.
Just in that one jump I cleared half the distance between me and where that magic beam shot down from. I could feel myself slowing down, right when I was about to hit the water I flicked backwards to get the correct speed to run across the water.
My foot finally hit and I immediately pushed my legs to there maximum, leaving large walls of water in my wake.
Feeling my energy starting to leave me I worried I might now make it all the way.
I worried for nothing however as I saw the target come into view... 'A giant blue crystal?' I thought puzzled.
Approaching the crystal I flicked downward and landed on the previously sandy beach.
'What is this stuff? This whole island is coated in this blue crystal. I felt the blue crystal beneath me and noticed it was very smooth, punching it I found out the blue crystal was as sturdy as your normal rock... Which was easy to break for me.
Crystal peices and blue dust started falling on me. "They must be on the top of this thing." I said eyes squinted looking at the top of the crystal.
'I think I still got one more good jump in me..' I thought. Though its risky going into battle tired I had to find out what was happening. Jumping again at full power I easily shot past the top of the crystal.
Falling back down I slowed my landing by flicking the air, allowing me to land undetected. Looking at the crystalized beach below My respectful fear of heights was not helping right now.
I was about to climb down to the top level but suddenly a yellow shot of magic blew through the platform I was standing and hit me in the chest.
I yelped in surprise. my shirt mending itself back together from the damage.
"Your not fooling anyone! Come out coward!" I heard a voice yell.
'Coward!?' I thought with anger.
"Smash" 'Shoowbtooom' I vaporized the roof, causing me to fall to the platform below.
"Hmph, your disturbing my tower... Looks like I dont have time to play around with you." A cocky voice said to me.
Looking at the man he had blue hair with a strange tattoo below his right eye.
Once the dust settled I noticed Erza crying over a large man with a metal jaw, Natsu was unconscious a few feet away from Erza.
"Did you do this?.." I questioned eyes shadowed. The man smirked wickedly.
"Yes! I did! This fool here died in vain protecting a person about to be sacrificed! Oh what a travesty!" The man said referring to the large man Erza was over.
"Who are you? I usually like to know the names of people I'm about to kill..." I said with malice giving him a angry glare.
This finally got Erza's attention. "Harrison? You cant fight him! Not me or Natsu was a match! Please escape from here while theres still time!" Erza pleaded.
I looked at her in disbelief. "Do you really think thats going to stop me? I would fight even if I have to die!" I said gaining a fighting stance, eyes never leaving the blue haired mans gaze.
"Now.. What is your name!?" I yelled.
The man started laughing histarically.
"You crack me up!... My name is Jellal Fernandez... May I ask the name of the man whos going to kill me?" Jellal asked, words dripping with sarcasm.
"Harrison Wesster... Now prepare yours- Ugh!" Jellal interupted my scentence when I felt his fist in my stomach. normally this wouldnt phaze me but I still haven't recovered from being hit with Masters attack.
'W-What? I couldn't even see him!' I thought.
He punched me again, and again and again. I was practically a punching bag.
I could hear Erza begging Jellal to stop his assault but it fell on deaf ears.
After a while I noticed he glowed yellow right before he strikes me. 'He's using some sort of speed enhancement..' I deduced.
Jellal stopped his assault to see the damage he caused. Picking myself off the ground, I looked at him cracking my neck. "That all you got?" I said with a smirk.
Jellal was taken back for a few seconds.
"Quiet impressive... Theres not even a scratch, looks like I'll have to stop holding back." Jellal said seriously getting ready to attack.
However I was faster and got my shot off first.
"SaMaaaash!" I yelled throwing my fist forward the air pressure pushed him into the wall behind quiet roughly. He recovered quickly.
I noticed he grimaced at the damaged I caused when he removed himself from the wall. "I dont like how much damage your doing to my tower... After all I still need it intact to give up my sacrifice to revive Zeref." Jellal said smiling wickedly at Erza.
"Heh, I'd never let you..." I said confidently.
'This guy is a close combat type, I shouldn't have a problem taking his punches, my body is to tough for him to do any real damage.' I thought assuming his fighting style.
I would very soon come to regret that assumption. Jellal then started to float in the air charging up what looked to be a black ball of magic.
"Are you attempting Abyss Break!?" Erza yelled.
"Yes! Now die! Harrison Wesster!" Jellal yelled firing his black magic ball at me.
'Ive taken on magic head on before... this will be exactly the same.' I thought ignorantly.
I stuck out my left arm prepared to stop it with my hand. "Harrison dont!" I heard Erza yell but I thought I knew what I was doing so I ignored her.
To my suprise instead of stopping the attack it engulfed my whole arm and started to engulf my body as well.
"Break!" Jellal yelled I started moving away from the black void, suddenly it closed... and my arm went with it...
"ARGGGHHH!"
I screamed in pain from my left arm being severed clean off as well as a little portion of my torso on the same side. I collapsed to the ground still screaming while clutching my shoulder where my arm used to be.
"No... Harrison... Jellal you bastard!" Natsu screamed as he saw the whole thing unfold when he came back to conciousness, right before my arm was severed.
I couldnt see hear or feel anything else besides the pain... the pain... It was so intense I just wanted to die, not only physical pain.
But the pain of knowing I would be disabled from doing pretty much anything normally for the rest of my life... Thats if I even survived.
My mind had no track of time as I lay face down on the blue crystal. I was able to tell Natsu was fighting Jellal. Lifting my head, still gnashing my teeth in pain. I saw Natsu actually beat down Jellal... Not without taking damage himself though.
After a short while when it was quiet, the tower started to shake. Natsu quickly helped me to my feet. Grunting and groaning I was finally able to stand on my own, blood flowing out of my lethal wound.
"I'm sorry Natsu, Harrison... The tower is going to explode if I dont regain control of the conflicting ethernano... Please go without me! Survive!" Erza said, tears coming from her left eye only.
"What are you saying Erza!?" Natsu yelled.
Erza was silent as she walked backwards and started to sink into the ethernano behind her.
"Thank you... For being my friends..." She said trying to keep a smile on her face in this terrible situation.
"Erza dont! Please we need you! Fairy tail needs you!... I need you..." Natsu pleaded with Erza.
My vision was starting to blur, looking down at my wound I knew there was no surviving this... So I made my decision.
Grabbing Erza by the wrist before she completely merged. She grunted when she hit the floor, my balance was now wavering.
"Harrison what are yo-" Erza never got to finish, I gathered my remaining strength and flicked her off the tower far enough so she would land safely in the water below.
"Harrison!? Why di-" Natsu didnt get to finish either.
"Erza is right... someone needs to stop this from killing us all... Im going to be the one to do it!" I said unwavering."
Natsu looked at me with disbelief.
"You think cause I've known you less I'm gonna let you sacrifice yourself instead!? No! We are all gonna get out of here!" Natsu tried to reason.
"Thats not it! Look at me Natsu.." Natsu inspected my form, his breath hitching when he finally realized the seriousness of my injuries.
"Im about to die... The least I can do is protect my friends with my death... Please give this to me... Natsu..." I said to him.
His naivity left him as my reasoning worked. "Me nor fairy tail will ever forget you! You will always be remembered!" Natsu told me, full of emotion his tears flowed freely from the soon to be loss of his precious friend.
I smirked. "Live on Natsu, protect whats important to you, save those who cant be saved, help people in need... Live the life I never will..." I told him, tears also started coming from my eyes..
"Good bye Natsu, make sure Erza is safe.."
I finally said my last scentence, I fell back into the ethernano and it swallowed me up.
'I don't even know of I can do this.. Im going to die anyway so I have nothing to lose.' I thought as I sunk deeper and deeper into the ethernano.
'Well I guess this is it.. Right when I found a family too... Its okay though, I'm going to join my family on earth shortly, I'll be able to see my father, mother and grandpa again. Tell them about all the adventures I've had here.' I thought.
I could feel something sinking into me, what it was I didnt know but I was about to die so it didnt matter...
'Good bye, Fairy Tail..' I thought before I closed my eyes and darkness overtook me.
'BTOOOOOOOOOOOOM'
A large explosion was released from the unstable ethernano.
Natsu was able to get himself and Erza to safety, they where currently floating in a large bubble made out of water, thanks to Juvia, former member of Phantom Lord and now ally of Fairy Tail.
"Natsu what happened!?" Happy cried out.
"Hey you didnt do anything reckless again did you?" Gray said.
His teamates bombarded him with questions. However Natsu just set Erza down eyes shadowed.
"Whats wrong Natsu?.." Lucy asked putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Harrison... He.. "He?" Gray said insinuating Natsu to continue after he paused.
"Harrison was there... He sacrificed himself so we could avoid being engulfed in the blast from the lacrima..." Natsu continued.
"Hes dead... Harrison is dead!" Natsu said Natsu yelled out in frustration anger and sadness at his inability to save everyone.
"N-No way... Gray said stunned, everyone else was taken back as well. In shock of the sudden death of there comrade.
Natsu spoke aloud. "I'll never forget you.. Harrison.."

Aaaand cut! A little bit of a shorter chapter I apologize, I still have to get better at the timings of these cliffhangers... What do you think will happen to Harrison?
